Summary
"But, in the aftermath of his breakup and the whirlwind stress of moving into a new apartment with probably the worst post-breakup roommate one could think of—bar Bokuto himself—Kenma has had to reserve his energy for basic tasks such as showering and bringing his water cups back out to the kitchen.
So, right now, Kenma really can’t be bothered with his roommate and his stupid reading glasses. Or his annoyingly early bedtime. Or the obnoxious humming that floats from the shower when he gets home from the gym some mornings. After he’s shuffled in looking invigorated with a healthy flush on his face, shorts clinging and messy hair tangled atop his head. Bobbing to music and oblivious to everything else.
Kenma will just wear his wireless headphones when he games, tighten his grip on his mid-morning snacks, and fly under the radar as best he can."
**
After finding out that his boyfriend has cheated on him, Kenma has no choice but to move in with his absolute last choice who also happens to be his ex's best friend.

Akaashi can’t make eye contact as he finally reaches for his drink. “Just- if you had taken Kenma home that night like you wanted to, none of this would’ve happened!”
Kuroo scoffs incredulously. “You’re putting this on me?”
“Of course not… Bokuto-” Akaashi scowls down at the cup between his hands. “Just because I love Bokuto doesn’t mean I’m happy with the decisions he’s made.” He fidgets with the cardboard around the cup.
Kuroo sighs, uncertain whether he can hold his tongue any longer. Kenma would hate it if he created a bigger rift between the four of them but-
“I better get going, anyway,” Akaashi mumbles.
“Remember, Akaashi, it takes two,” Kuroo calls after him. Akaashi pauses by the door. Kuroo waits for his defense but only gets a look of disdain tossed timidly over Akaashi’s shoulder before he leans against the door and shuffles out into the waning afternoon light. -
