Work Text:
At first when Sinestro had came forward, wanting to extend a olive branch to form a peace treaty between the two corps, Hal had thought it was a trick, a way to get the guardians to lower their guards but as it turns out that it was his daughter that talked him into putting an end to this rivalry.
Often when he returns to the planet, the leader of the yellow lanterns just always seems to be there, talking with the guardians.
Hal catches him staring a few times, those golden eyes looking his way before turning away to follow Kilowog, neither too happy about the situation. The whole thing set a lot of the lanterns on edge but some of the members from the separated corps seem to be bonding with one another, much to Hal’s surprise. Gardner seems to be spending a lot of his time around Arkillo, the two didn’t seem to mind their differences.
Hal still kept his distance when visiting Oa, keeping an eye out for the Korugarian, making sure to keep his head low while tending to his own duties but the man always seemed to find him. He would always ‘bump’ into him and when the green lantern met his eyes, he could clearly see the smirk on his face.
It flustered him, Hal didn’t know what the man is after and clearly he had to have some other motive than just wanting peace between the two lantern corps; He just didn’t know what it was yet.
He choses to stay close to Gardner and Kilowog, not trusting to be alone with the other man even though seeing him around brought feelings of nostalgia. Hal finds himself staring at Sinestro while he spoke to other lanterns, the one thing he couldn’t deny about the man was that he was a really good teacher. Watching him train members of the green lanterns brought back old memories he fought to bury a long time ago and found himself missing those days.
“Hey Jordan, ya listening?” Kilowog shoves the smaller lantern to bring him out of his thoughts. “You’ve been staring for fifteen minutes now.”
“What…?” The Bolovaxian laughs at his bewildered face, elbowing him teasingly. “Heard he’s been messing with ya, surprised you haven’t knocked his ass out yet.”
“The guardians wouldn’t approve and it’s not worth risking the peace treaty-“
“Peace treaty, my ass; You and I both know he’s up to something.” Kilowog mutters, picking up his mug to mellow his suspension. “Sinestro can’t be trusted, given his past-“
“Can his daughter be trusted?”
“Soranik? Of course, she’s a good kid; Has a good head on her shoulders.” He replies, huffing amusedly and sets his mug down. Both of them glancing over towards the young woman, who was training with Kyle and both of them seem to be hitting it off pretty well. “It’s odd to see yellow and green lanterns getting along so well.”
“I understand the feeling.” Hal replies, watching a yellow and green lanterns walk past them having a conversation. “Should we…try to get along with them?”
“I don’t have interest in talking with any yellow lanterns.” Kilowog huffs, glaring at the few passing them before returning his attention back to Jordan. “Only deal with em if the guardians ask.”
Hal rests his cheek in his palm, watching the two corps mingle and exhales through his nose. He wishes his and Sinestro’s relationship hadn’t been so damaged over the years then maybe there would still be a chance of saving it. He glances to to where Sinestro is, still talking to a few of the less experienced green lanterns and giving them a few pointers.
He remembers when he was younger, still learning the ropes, eager to impress and prove himself to the man; How naive he was, if he had just seen the signs then maybe…
Kilowog flicks his ear to get his attention again.
“I asked you if you wanted to go get a beer with me.” He leans back in his seat, raises a brow. “Tomar-Re is heading that way now.”
“…Sure.” Hal gets up to follow his friend, giving the yellow lantern one last glance from over his shoulder and meets golden eyes staring back at him. It sends a jolt up his spine and whips his back around, feeling his cheeks grow warmer.
He flies after Kilowog, not looking back and figures maybe a drink couldn’t hurt, he could certainly use one right now.
Hal nurses his drink while his two friends caught up with each other, too lost in his own thoughts to keep up with their drinking. Kilowog pats his back and shove another full glass of alcohol his way.
“Drink Jordan, it’ll get your mind off things.”
“I suppose it would.” He mutters, lifting the glass to take a sip and makes a face at the taste, nearly spitting it out which earns laughter from the two other lanterns.
“How’s the taste? Nothing…like you’re u-used to back on earth, eh?” Tomar-Re slurs his words, leaning against the bar, his shoulders still trembling from laughter as Hal holds the glass out in front of it to inspect the foreign beverage. It was purple with a shimmery tint when he held it up to the light, tastes like it has a higher alcohol content; Half a glass of this would surely waste him.
“What is this?” Hal asks, looking at the two.
“Violet Amber Ale.” Kilowog answers as the human. “Brew for those with a high tolerance, wanted to get a kick out of seeing ya try it.”
Hal makes a face at them and huffs as he sets the drink down, sitting back in his chair as he licks the roof of his mouth to try and get the taste out of it. It tastes faintly good but it’s too strong, like taking seven shots of Jack Daniels at once.
“Trying to kill me?” Hal says amusedly, he coughs and pats his chest to clear his throat. His body already feels numb from just a sip so he lifts the drink back up to his lips, just wanting to forget his troubles for a while and takes a bigger sip of the ale, hearing Kilowog and Tomar-Re cheer encouragingly as he sets the glass back down. Hal is overwhelmed by the drink, having to take a deep breath and reaches for his water to wash down the taste.
His head swarms dizzily, feeling the the whole cavern is swaying beneath his seat.
“Don’t pass out on us.” He hears Kilowog says, a heavy hand placed itself on his back to keep him upright. “Still plenty of time to keep this party going.”
“Nghh.” Hal sways in his seat and topples against the Bolovaxian’s side, face warm with a drunken flush. He feels Kilowog’s laughter as the larger lantern wraps his arm around him, continuing to chat with their other colleague while he listens to the rhythmic sound of Kilowog’s heartbeat.
His mind is too blank to worry about anything else, the yellow lanterns joining forces with them, the odd way Sinestro was staring at him; All he could focus on was the beat of a heartbeat and the warmth rolling off his friend, it was almost enough to make him fall asleep without a care in the world.
It’s rare for Hal to feel vulnerable and safe, even here in a cavern full of drunks but he trusts the two to have his back if something went wrong.
“Think we should have gotten him something else, Kilowog.” He hears Tomar-Re tell the other lantern, his tone full of worry and concern. “I knew that drink would have been too much for Hal, he is only human after all.”
“He’ll be fine, probably have one hell of a hangover tomorrow though.” Kilowog gives the drunken lantern a tender squeeze as he takes a drink from his own glass. “Didn’t expect him to take another drink from it though, gotta give him some props.”
Hal barely listen to their conversation, head fuzzy and feeling his stomach ache from the alcohol but still, at least he didn’t have to think…blissfully unable to think about his current worries. He begins to nod off to the sound of numerous chattering around them, using Kilowog’s side as a pillow.
He must have fallen asleep at some point because when the man woke up again, he was being carried in Kilowog’s arms as they flew back towards Oa.
He groans, reaching up to rub his head.
“Bet you feel like yer head is splitting in two right about now.” Kilowog says, glancing down at him briefly with a chuckle. “Tomar-Re has something to remedy that, we’ll get ya settle up and tuck ya into bed.”
“You’re a bunch of assholes.” Hal says halfheartedly, closing his eyes again.
“Don’t blame us for you taking another drink, poozer.” Kilowog replies. “If you feel like you’re going to throw up, give me a heads up.”
“…Maybe I should throw up on you.” Hal mutters as Kilowog lands, still holding Hal in his arms and turns as Tomar-Re lands right beside them.
“That wouldn’t be kind of you, even after we brought you home safely?” Tomar-Re comments, motioning for them to follow and leads them towards the medical facility. “Need to learn how to hold your liquor better.”
“Nhhh.” Hal turns his head from the bright lights as they enter the building, ignoring his friends as they playfully pick on him. Tomar-Re stops at a medical cabinet and takes a few things out, shaking a bottle before pouring into a cup, adding a few tablets as Kilowog sets Hal down on a bed.
“This won’t taste the greatest but it’ll help sober you up and well…lessen the chances of a hangover.” Tomar-Re says, turning to face them with the mixture and pauses when looking at the smaller lantern. “My, Hal…you look positively pale, are you going to be sick?”
“I’m…thinking about it.” Hal huffs, his stomach tightens and turns on his side just as Kilowog brings him a waste basket to hurl in. Hal sits up quickly to clutch the basket against his chest, dry heaving before throwing up into it. Kilowog frowns, rubbing his back comfortingly and turns towards their friend.
“The prank was a bad one.” He tells the Xudarian, turning his back to Hal as he heaves into the bucket again. “Perhaps we should find a doctor?”
“I’ll go fetch one, you stay here with him.” Tomar-Re says, giving Kilowog the remedy. “Have him drink that, it should help with the nausea.”
Kilowog swirls the contents of the glass and pats the man’s back, waiting for the man to catch a break before offering him the glass. Hal takes its gratefully, chugging it while Kilowog sets the basket to the side.
Hal lays down once he finishes off the glass, wanting to pass out again and thankfully the remedy help pass the nausea but now he just wants to go back to sleep again…
…Until he heard a familiar voice that made his head spin.
“What’s going on here?” He didn’t open his eyes to know who that voice belong to, knowing the man must have saw them enter the building and came to investigate. Thankfully Hal didn’t have to say anything because Kilowog was quick to respond.
“You have no business here, Sinestro.” He tells him but regardless, Hal heard the yellow lantern approaching them.
“Given that both our corps are working together now and my duties include me being aware of the situation, I have every reason to be.” Sinestro responds but doesn’t come any closer, no doubt because of the scowl Kilowog is giving him. “What happened?”
Last thing Hal needs is for his once enemy to find out, he’ll never live down the shame.
“None of your concern.” Kilowog snaps back, staring the man down. Sinestro looks the larger lantern up and down before raising a brow.
“You’re drunk.” He stats before turning his attention to Hal. “I suppose Hal drank as well?”
“What of it?” Kilowog asks, pulling his hand from Hal’s shoulder to cross his arms.
“What did he drink, how much?” Sinestro asks, meeting Kilowog’s eyes again.
“He had a sip or two of Violet Amber Ale.”
“What?” Sinestro’s eyes widen in disbelief. “He’s only a human, you could kill him with a drink like that. Are you sure he only had a few sips?!”
“Don’t act like you give a damn about him, you pompous prick.” Kilowog growls, stepping in between him and Hal with a bit of a stumble, his hands curling up into fists. “Like you wouldn’t kill him yourself if given the chance.”
“He’ll need fluids to flush the alcohol out of his system.” Sinestro says, dismissing the lantern’s aggressive behavior. “Something to eat that will absorb the alcohol.”
“You aren’t wanted here, Sinestro.” Kilowog warns but pauses when he feels Hal grab his wrist, he glances over his shoulder to the ill man.
“If…he can help…let him.” Hal tells him, he didn’t trust him but he seen to know how to help and there was no way he could pull something with Kilowog in the room. Kilowog seem to be struggling mentally, not wanting to trust the man to help but deflates at his plead, turning back to Sinestro.
“If you hurt him-“
“And risk the truce we’ve built?” Sinestro questions, coming closer to look Hal over and tsks at the condition he was in. “I thought I’ve taught you better.”
“Fuck you.” Hal mutters, closing his eyes and turns his head away, hearing Sinestro chuckle.
“Let’s get something in your stomach to help it settle.” Sinestro turns away from the two men, digging through the cabinet and pulling out a few preserved food and bottle of water the the medics kept for certain situations. “You should have known better than to drink such things.”
“He didn’t do anything, we gave him the drink as a joke so don’t belittle him, traitor.” Kilowog says as Sinestro gives Hal the food, towering over the yellow lantern with a watchful eye. “I swear if you pull anything…”
“Calm yourself, you behemoth; I’m not going to hurt him.” Sinestro reassures as Hal eats the dried food, glancing at Kilowog but mainly keeping his focus on Hal. “Hal, are you feeling better or worse?”
“…Sick, dizzy…”
“Think you can hold this down?” Sinestro asks, offering the bottle as well.
“Mm.” Hal shallows the food, trying to reach for the water but misses due to his blurry vision and ends up touching Sinestro’s elbow instead. Hal pulls away with a groan, feeling sick again.
“We’ll need to go get a medic.”
“Tomar-Re has already went to get one.” Kilowog says, implying that he still wanted him to leave but Sinestro wasn’t bothered by his attitude and instead focuses solely on getting Hal to drink. “Your friendly act doesn’t fool me or the others.”
“I’m not acting, Hal was once my friend too.” Sinestro shoots back, turning his head back to the ill man with a look in his eyes. “And I hope to salvage that.”
Kilowog huffs, about to come off with another remark when Tomar-Re returns with a few medics, who immediately rush to the human’s side and has the yellow lantern steps aside so they can do their job. Sinestro keeps a moment of eye contact with Hal before turning to leave, knowing he’ll be alright in their hands and intentionally brushing his shoulder against Kilowog’s arm on his way out, earning a glare.
Hal watches him leave as the medics hook him up to monitors, chastising the two other lanterns but also voicing their concern for him, claiming his alcohol levels were way too high and worked to lower them.
Tomar-Re and Kilowog stay close by for about an hour until the medics told them that they were able to sober Hal up and again, chastised them for even considering giving the human such a strong drink. Of course they wanted to check on Hal themselves but were told to be quiet considering the man was sleeping it off.
They both passed out in Hal’s room that night, sleeping against one another in the chairs that the medics provided for them and wake up the next morning with minor aches themselves but are delighted to see Hal sitting up in his bed, taking some medicine that the medic just gave him.
“How are ya feeling, Hal?” Kilowog is the first to speak, getting his attention and he looks annoyed.
“I was just explained what happened last night because I don’t have a single memory of it before leaving the bar.” Hal says, turning to let his legs over the edge of the bed and makes a face like he has a disgusting taste in his mouth. “You jerks better make it up to me for the stunt you pulled.”
“We will!” Tomar-Re says, rubbing the back of his neck with anxious chuckle. “It’s the most we could for letting things get out of hand last night.”
“Treat ya to lunch for the next couple of days?” Kilowog offers, getting a smirk out of the human.
“Could really go for a burger…one from earth.” Hal says, rubbing his eyes and stands up. “I think I’m going to take a break from alien consumables.”
“So do you remember…Sinestro visiting you last night?” Kilowog asks, watching Hal remove his hand from his face and raises a brow. “Said how he wanted to be your friend again?”
“Said what?” Hal has a look of disbelief and confusion on his face before scoffing. “He burned that bridge a long time ago when he betrayed the corp.”
Hal paces a bit, rubbing his neck in thought as he tries to recall the missing pieces from his memory but it all seem fuzzy. Why would Sinestro want to be his friend again after everything they went through? All the fights they’ve had, every conflict and disaster…it didn’t make any sense and even if it were true, why would he ever consider…
Hal sighs, knowing full well he had hope…that maybe someday Sinestro, his once mentor and close friend, would change his ways and return to Oa but now that he has, he didn’t know what to do.
“Hal?” He hears Tomar-Re say and stops his pacing to turn his attention back to his friends.
“I smell like booze and antiseptic, I’m going to take a shower.” He tells them and offers a smile. “I’ll see you both later, don’t cause any trouble.”
Hal leaves for the showers, mind heavy with thoughts and can’t help but to take a look at the two different corp members intermingling; It’s heartwarming but no matter how nice it is too see this rivalry put to a end, he didn’t know how long it would last because he couldn’t trust-
“…Sinestro?” He stops in mid-flight as the yellow lantern flies out in front of him. “What are you…?”
Hal trails off as the other comes closer, looking him over as if he still expect the human to be sick and when he finally meets the green lantern’s eyes, a smile spreads across his lips.
“How are you feeling, Hal?” Sinestro asks, hand reaching out as if he wanted to touch him but restrains himself. “You weren’t looking too well last night.”
“I’m fine.” Hal replies, on guard, half-expecting him to pull something. “Is there…something you need?”
“I was just checking on you.” Sinestro’s eyes soften, smile fading from his face and both grow into an awkward silence.
“…I was just about to head back to earth.”
“Will you be alright flying that far?” His once enemy asks and Hal can tell he’s wanting to offer to join him; Maybe his words about wanting to be friends again were genuine?
“It won’t be any trouble, feeling a lot better than I did last night.” Hal chuckles, looking away as he rubs his neck. “I met your daughter…she’s a nice kid.”
“As strong and fierce as her mother.” Sinestro says pridefully and it’s shown by the expression on his face. “I’m sure she can whip some of these newbies into shape in no time.”
“She seems to be already on that.” Hal laughs, mind wondering to her and Kyle. “Seems pretty close with one of our guys.”
“…I saw that.” Sinestro’s enthusiasm falters, smiling turning to an annoyed frown and crosses his arms in a way that only a stern, protective father would. “I’m not sure how I feel about that.”
“Kyles a good man, you don’t have to worry about him hurting her.”
“She wouldn’t be the one getting hurt if he pulls something.” Sinestro chuckles, rubbing his chin and for a moment, Hal thought he was threatening the man. “Soranik wouldn’t let any man harm her, she knows how to take care of herself; She’ll put him in his place.”
“I’m sure she could…”
“Are you sure you don’t need someone to fly with you? Just in case?” Hal is about to assure him that he would be fine but pauses when he sees the look in the other’s eyes, trying to rekindle their friendship.
“…I suppose you could join me.” Hal says, watching Sinestro’s eyebrows raise and his smile widens. “Just until we reach Earth’s atmosphere, I can make my home myself after that.”
“Afraid of me following you home, Jordan?” Sinestro chuckles, flying aside and motioning for him to take lead. “It’s not as if I haven’t been in your home before.”
“Just because we’ve came to a truce here doesn’t mean the Justice League hasn’t been informed yet, I don’t want to cause alarm.” Hal explains, earning an amused look from him. “Once I explain that the yellow lanterns aren’t a threat to earth then…”
Was he really about to invite him back to his apartment?
“I’m sure they wouldn’t mind if I were with you.” Sinestro floats closer with a more serious look on his face. “After all I’ve done, I won’t blame you if you didn’t want anything to do with me but if there’s a chance, I was hoping we could be allies again.”
“…Like friends?” Hal questions, heart racing the closer he got. Hal’s eyes glances around them, hoping none of the passing lantern’s notices the flustered look on his face.
“I’ve always considered you as my friend, Hal; Even when we fought.” Sinestro’s hand reaches out to brush against his, sending a jolt up the human’s spine and suddenly he feels a rookie, anxious to please his mentor again. “…It’s one of the many reasons I agreed to offer a treaty between the two corps.”
Hal’s eyes widen at the confession, trying to process his words and what they meant, he feels like his mind is failing him.
“You…did it for me?” He asks, not sure if he had heard him right.
“It’s not the main reason but it’s was definitely one of the selling points my daughter made.” Sinestro explains, golden eyes looking over Hal’s flushed cheeks and smirks. “I suppose I should take you home now?”
“Uh…y-yeah.” Hal agrees mainly because he didn’t want anyone to see him this flustered and flies passed him to leave Oa with Sinestro behind him.
Hal didn’t tell Sinestro to turn back when they entered Earth’s atmosphere and he didn’t tell him to turn back when they got to Hal’s apartment. He slides his balcony door open and slips inside, holding it open to allow the yellow lantern in.
“I’m just going to…take a quick shower and maybe order take out…um, make yourself comfortable.” He says, motioning towards the couch as a suggestion and putting a LOT of trust into the man to not to stab him in the back while he’s vulnerable.
He leaves Sinestro in the living room and enters the bathroom, leaning against the door to try to catch his breath.
Should he inform the League? No, his ear piece is in the bedroom. This is a bad idea, what was he thinking?!
Hal takes a deep breath and looks down at his ring, slowly removing it to set aside on the bathroom counter; His Lantern suit disappears and begins to remove his clothes to take a quick shower.
Once he’s clean, he puts his ring on and realizes a new problem to worry about…he hadn’t brought any clean clothes in the bathroom with him. Hal curses to himself, wrapping a towel around his waist and briefly contemplated putting the lantern suit back on.
No. It’s fine, he has to trust the yellow lantern. They’re allies now and even if he tries something, he still has his ring.
Hal takes another deep breath and opens the bathroom door to peer out, not finding Sinestro on the couch but finding standing on the other side of the living room, looking at the photos hung up on the wall.
He clears his throat to get his attention to give him a heads up that he needed to get clothes but instead of turning his head back around to give Hal some privacy, Sinestro watches him cross the room to give bedroom in only a towel and feels like his face is on fire when he closes his bedroom door.
It’s not like the man hadn’t seen him naked before so he’s not sure why he’s being so bashful, they’ve worked in the same corp before so they’ve used the same showers back on Oa; Maybe it’s because of the different circumstances?
He gets underwear and sweatpants on before there’s a knock on the door, lifting his head and grabs a shirt to slip on before opening the door.
“Just had to get dressed real quick-“ Hal pauses when Sinestro steps through the door, a hand brushing against Hal’s cheek and feels his whole body freeze up. Normally he would be attacking before the other man had the chance to touch him but given that they’re no longer enemies, Hal didn’t know how to respond to the bolden action.
“Your face is almost as crimson as mine.” Sinestro chuckles, stepping closer into his space and suddenly Hal’s breath catches in his throat. “Flustered looks good on you.”
Hal’s thoughts are reeling, cheeks becoming redder as his chest brushes against Sinestro’s and tries to form words. Flirting? Is he flirting? No, it’s ridiculous to assume and it would be ridiculous to think, the man must be trying to mess with him.
“…Thaal, is there a reason you wanted to come here?” Hal asks, stepping back from his touch.
“To make sure you make it back safety.” Sinestro reassures, letting his hand drop back to his side. “That’s all, I have no ill intentions.”
“It’s going to take some time to earn my trust.” Hal says, running a hand through his hair as he glances around his bedroom, at anything but the man in front of him. “It’s not the same as it was when I first join the corps, you’ve done terrible things-“
“And no amount of apologies will ever resolve me of my crimes, I know.” Sinestro says, looking conflicted. “It’ll take time to undo the harms I’ve done but…”
Sinestro trails off, his jaw clenched before his continues.
“You’re the only other person I’ve ever gotten closed to since my late wife.” He confesses, bringing himself to look Hal in the eyes and reaches out to brush his hand against the human’s. “Even when we were enemies, I wanted you to join me, not only because you’re the fiercest lantern I’ve trained but because you are very…dear to me.”
Sinestro lets out a deep breath, glancing down towards their hands with a somber expression.
“And when I couldn’t get you to join me…”
“Your daughter convinced you to return to the Green Lanterns.” Hal says, beginning to expect that Sinestro wasn’t entirely truthful when he told him he wasn’t the main reason the yellow lanterns offered peace. “Thaal-“
“Don’t let it go to your head, Jordan.” Sinestro says amusedly, rubbing his thumb against his bare knuckles. “You used to wherever I gave you praise as your mentor.”
“I was eager to prove myself and you were the corps’s greatest lantern, it was hard to not be excited when you complimented me.” Hal remembers fondly but steps away again. “Give it time, Thaal.”
“I won’t keep you then.” Sinestro takes a step back, there’s a look on his face that almost looks like conflicted yearning; Like a starved dog so close to food but denied by some cruel force. It riddles him with guilt so when Sinestro turns to leave, Hal stops him with a hand on his shoulder.
The Korugarian pauses and looks at Hal from over his shoulder, turning when Hal pulls at his shoulder back and slowly pulls the other man into a hug.
“I’m glad you’re back.” Hal says, pulling back and patting his shoulder. “And that you’re trying to work with the guardians.”
“I still think they’re a insufferable bunch-“
“But you’re trying and that’s good enough for me.” Hal pulls him back into a hug, feeling Sinestro’s arms wrap around his waist to pull him against his own body. “Everyone deserves a second chance.”
After a few seconds of silence, Hal pulls away as Sinestro’s hands still linger on his hips before stepping away.
“I’ll see you back on Oa, Hal.” Sinestro flies out of his balcony door, leaving the human lantern alone to his thoughts.
So much for ignoring the man but did feel nice to hug him, it’s been so long since they last touched each other with harmful intent. He hopes this treaty lasts, tired of the fighting because doesn’t know what he’ll do if he tries rebuilding this friendship and it just be a waste.
Should he even try? Hal didn’t know if he could trust Sinestro and like he said, it’ll take time for the man to gain the corps’s trust again.
Hal rubs his face, muttering uncertainties under his breath and grabs his phone to order something to eat.
He just hopes he hadn’t make a terrible mistake opening back up to Sinestro, although the small selfish part of him wishes he has asked the man to stay because he misses him more than Hal would like to admit.
Little does the hero know, Sinestro still lingered just outside his apartment, cloaked in invisibility as he watches Hal walk through his living room on the phone.
Hal hugging him took the yellow lantern off guard, he hadn’t expect the human to seek physical affection from him so soon and it set off a spark throughout his entire being, wanting nothing more than to wrap his arms around man and hold him close for hours…but Hal wants space so he’ll give it to him until his little Lantern warms up to him again.
The outcome of following him back to earth turned out a lot better than Sinestro thought it would, he expected that it would take a while longer before Hal even spoke to him considering he was ignoring him right after the treaty was made.
He fights the urge to return to the apartment and instead heads back to Oa to speak with his daughter, ask her for advice because he didn’t want to risking messing up his chances to regain Hal’s trust again.
A few weeks pass since Sinestro left his apartment, being busy with the Justice League and helping them take care of things here on earth, he never had any time to think about how he should proceed with his own predicament.
He spoke with Superman when he had the chance, telling him about the situation and Clark seemed pleased to know that the two lantern groups managed to find peace and work together.
Another week passes with no trouble popping up, Hal spends his night tonight with Barry, Ollie and Dinah at a bar; Given that Barry couldn’t get drunk, he chose to be the one to take everyone home after their evening is over.
He feels as if he spent too much time back on Oa working with the Sinestro Corp, it’s nice to catch up with his friends back here on earth and take a break from all the havoc.
Hal leans back in chair, surprised to find himself drinking again after the last time; He figured he wouldn’t touch the stuff for a long while but wanted to celebrate with friends, knowing nothing here could potentially kill him after a couple of sips.
He still wants to give Kilowog and Tomar-Re hell when he returns, taking them up on their offer to buy him food, maybe they could catch a bite at the one alien restaurant Tomar-Re mentioned back on his planet.
He chuckles at Barry’s story from work, staring into his shot of whiskey while he listens to their conversation. He definitely pass the point of having a buzz but not entirely drunk yet either but decides to finish off his shot glass then cut himself off for the night.
It’s getting late and he didn’t want to wake up with a hangover in the morning. He down the rest and taps the bar top before getting to his feet.
“I’m going to head home for tonight.”
“Need a ride?” Barry asks, turning in his seat. “Or I could zip you right to your front door.”
“I can make it back alright, don’t want to ruin your night.” Hal says, pulling on his jacket and pays his tab.
“It won’t be any trouble at all.” The speedster reassures but Hal shakes his head, patting Barry’s shoulder.
“I can fly back, I’ll be fine.” He smiles at his friends and tells them he’ll see them in the morning, leaving the three to continue their conversation.
Hal slips outside the bar and uses the alleyway to change into his suit before taking off towards his apartment. His head is a little hazy from the alcohol but as long as he doesn’t hit any birds, he’ll be fine.
The cool night air seems to help clear his head and upon getting closer to his complex, he notices someone standing on his balcony and slows down until he can recognize the face looking back at him.
“…Sinestro?” Hal mutters to himself, floating down on his balcony. “What are you doing here?”
“I came to check on you, some of your buddies back on Oa were still worried about the drinking incident.” Sinestro says, leaning off the railing to approach him and he must have smelt the alcohol off him because the man raises a brow at Hal. “I see that it hadn’t stopped you from intoxicating yourself again.”
“I’m not that drunk, Thaal; Just had a few glasses with friends.” Hal assures him, sliding the balcony door open and turns his head to face him. “Wanna come in?”
Sinestro quirks a brow at the chipper tone in the man’s voice and takes up the man’s offer, stepping past him into the the apartment. Hal closes the door behind himself, lantern suit dissipating and slips off his shoes at the door.
“I have some takeout in the fridge if you’re hungry, not really sure if you’ve ever had hibachi but I think you’ll love it if you’ve tried.” Hal mutters, swaying on his feet and sits on the arm rest of the couch. Sinestro tilts his head, studying his body language and rests a hand on his hip.
“Are you sure you’re not intoxicated right now?” Sinestro asks; His friendly behavior towards him was out of character for Hal, especially since Hal told him he needed time to trust him again.
Hal smiles, sliding off the arm of the couch to properly sit on it and pats the cushion next to him, indicating that the human wants him to sit down with him. Sinestro can tell without a doubt that the man was indeed drunk but chooses to humor him and sits down next to Hal.
“I’m happy you’re working with the green lanterns now.” Hal tells him, slightly swaying in his seat with a tender look on his face. Normally Sinestro kept his expression unreadable but couldn’t help the smile as he rests his hand on the other man’s shoulder to steady him. “I…always hoped you’d come back.”
“Is that so?” Sinestro watches him nod and turns towards the yellow lantern, seemingly more open about his feelings in this state. If they were still enemies, Sinestro would have been thrilled with the opportunity to manipulate the man in front of him, instead the Korugarian is just amused with Hal’s overly affectionate reactions.
Hal takes his hand off his shoulder to hold with both of his, just smiling warmly towards him with a drunk flush gracing his cheeks. Sinestro really likes seeing the color in his old protégé’s cheeks, eager to see how far it could spread on the man’s body.
“I’ve missed you.” Hal confesses, glancing down at Sinestro’s hand and rubs his thumb against the yellow ring he wore on his finger. Sinestro reaches up with his other hand to touch Hal’s face, getting his attention and meets those hazy brown staring back at him.
It would be so easy to just steal a kiss from the human and considering how Hal is reacting, the man is likely to kiss him back but Sinestro reframes.
…No matter how eager he is to make the lantern his, he couldn’t take advantage of Hal in his drunken state; Sinestro wants him to trust him again so he resists his instincts and leans back against the couch to create space between them.
“I’ve missed you too, dearly.” Sinestro replies, letting his hand slip from his face but allows him to hold his other one. “It’s ashamed how things went between us, Hal but I can assure you…nothing will separate you from me again.”
His words must had a effect on the man because his blush spreads down his neck, Sinestro’s eyes taking in the rare sight with glee; He wants to pull down the front of Hal’s shirt to see how far down that flush went.
“Thaal…do you…want to stay here tonight?” Hal offers, leaning close with a tender look on his face. That’s probably not a good idea, there’s no telling how Hal will react in the morning and hadn’t the man wanted space- “Please?”
“…If that’s what you want.” Sinestro mutters, his heart skipping a beat when Hal’s eyes lit up and leans closer, making the yellow lantern lean back further against the couch to keep the distance between them. “Although I believe you should rest, we can talk in the morning when your head is clearer.”
“I’m not drunk-“
“You’re still not thinking clearly.” Sinestro repeats, presses a hand against his chest to keep him from moving any closer. “As your friend, I wouldn’t want you doing anything you’d regret later.”
The look Hal gives him is an annoyed one, grabbing Sinestro’s wrist to remove it from his chest and lets go over his other hand in favor to rest it against his crimson neck, leaning closer to close the distance between them but the man stops him.
“Enough, Hal.” Sinestro says, his body screaming at him to claim the hero but his logical mind reminding him that Hal isn’t sober. “We can revisit this later in the morning-“
“Always so stubborn.” Hal sighs, pulling away and runs his hand through his hair frustratingly.
“Always so impulsive.” Sinestro retorts, getting up and takes Hal by his hands, helping him up to his feet. “Lets get you to bed.”
“Are you going to leave?”
“Of course not, I’ve already given you my word.” Sinestro assures him, leading him towards his room by holding Hal’s upper arm. He’s about to let go of the green lantern to pull back the blankets when Hal grabs his wrist and catches the back of Sinestro’s knee with his ankle, tripping the yellow lantern to cause him to fall back onto the bed.
Sinestro stares up at Hal with a bewildered look, almost impressed that the man managed to catch him off guard as Hal sits on the edge of the bed to remove his jacket and tosses to the side.
“I’m just buzzed, Thaal; You don’t need to worry about me regretting anything tomorrow.” Hal tells him begrudgingly, glancing over his shoulder before removing his jeans before pulling back the covers to slip under and motions for the other to join him.
Sinestro studies the man’s face, golden eyes glances towards the spot on the bed Hal is patting before returning his eyes back to him; He’s unsure how to proceed, Hal might not be drunk but the alcohol in his system is still effecting him, causing him to think irrationally. His obvious longing for him is making Hal make unreasonable decisions and he didn’t want to ruin all the progress he’s made with the man to salvage their friendship by making a mistake but at the same time, if Hal is thinking clearly and just seeking affection then rejecting the offer could upset him, leaving Sinestro with a predicament.
He had to be careful with the choices he makes and shifts himself up next to Hal, his own lantern suit disappears in a clear sign of trust and rests his head against the pillow. Hal smiles down at him before settling against his own pillow, pulling the blanket over their shoulders and closes his eyes while Sinestro watches him, calculating what the repercussions he’ll face when Hal wakes the next morning.
Then there’s the fact that he believes the lantern had tried to kiss him on the couch earlier and practically forced him into his bed, leading him to believe Hal’s feelings towards him were more than just wanting to be friends again.
Sinestro turns his head to look at the poorly plastered ceiling, heart beating rapidly in his chest at the aspect of the man sharing the same feelings he held for him. It could be just the alcohol, he wouldn’t want to get ahead of himself by thinking of such things and make the man uncomfortable-
Hal shifts closer towards him, slipping a arm over his waist and presses his forehead against his shoulder, muttering a ‘good night, Sin’ before closing his eyes to sleep. When Sinestro’s body finally relaxes, he hesitantly pulls his arm out from underneath the man to wrap around him. He closes his eyes, letting his hand play with the hair on the back of Hal’s head and tries ignoring the way he could feel Hal’s breath on his neck.
This is the sweetest forms of torture he’s ever had to endure.
A light snore catches his ears and slowly turns his head to look at him, already unconscious against him and lets out the breath he’s been holding.
What should he do now? Sinestro hadn’t planned to end up in Hal’s bed like this and be used as a body pillow, he just wanted to check up on the Lantern since he hadn’t returned to Oa in a while. He closes his eyes and tries focusing on falling asleep, enjoying the weight of the human’s body felt against his.
~*~
Hal shifts in his sleep, opening his eyes groggily and mutters something in his half asleep state; He hears a soft heartbeat underneath his ear and lifts his head with the look on confusion on his face.
Did he have someone say over? He’s too tired to recall anything, he remembers getting frustrated over rejection but only bits and pieces of it, not who with though…he remembers desperately wanting intimacy from them.
Who was he with last night? Dinah, Ollie and Barry. Who? Couldn’t be Dinah or Ollie for obvious reasons. Was it Barry? No, not him either; He has a thing going on between him and Snart…then who?
The person underneath his head breaths sharply through their nose, getting his attention again and wonders just who he brought home with him. Hal shifts onto his stomach to push himself up to get a look at the mysterious stranger in his bed and nearly choked on his own tongue.
“…Sinestro?!” He whispers softly, scrambling out of bed carefully to not wake the other man and retreats to his bathroom. He leans against the sink, rubbing his face and tries to not panic; How?! No, no, no. This couldn’t be happening, out of everyone he knows, how did he manage to get Sinestro of all people in his bed?!
They didn’t…no, they couldn’t have…
“Ring, could you replay the last couple of hours of what happened after I left the bar?” Hal asks, holding his ring up and watches as the scenes unfolded on the wall.
Sinestro met him at his apartment on his balcony, Hal watches himself invite the yellow lantern inside, asking him to stay and feels his lips part in surprise when he sees that he had tried to kiss the other man but the alien man had stopped him twice, insisting that he should go to bed then…
“Oh my god.” Hal mutters, watching himself literally forcing Sinestro on the mattress, only for the older man to put him to bed and reaches up to cover his eyes as the projection disappears, face heating in shame. He had tried to force himself on the man, the very man he was trying to rebuild a friendship with and oh no, he fucked it all up within one night.
Hal takes a deep breath, glancing towards the door. How is he going to face after all that? Why did he stay after what he had done?
He pokes his head out of the bathroom to look into his bedroom, seeing Sinestro still fast asleep in his bed. Hal rubs his tired eyes and wonders back into his bedroom to watch the other man breathe, sitting down on the edge of the bed, unsure what to do from here.
Should he wake him?
“Sin-“ Hal trails off when he notices golden eyes staring back at him and watches Sinestro turn his head towards him.
“Hal, are you feeling well?” Sinestro asks, his hand reaching out to touch his arm. “You look pale.”
“I’m fine, I’m just…” Hal lowers his head and hears the other chuckle.
“I knew you wouldn’t remember.” Sinestro turns on his side and pulls back the blanket for him. “It’s still early, let’s go back to sleep.”
“I’m so sorry.” Hal mutters, forcing himself to meet Sinestro’s eyes again. “I didn’t mean…I shouldn’t have tried to force myself on you-“
Sinestro laughs, actually laughs and sits up to brush his fingers against Hal’s jaw.
“Force yourself on me?” Sinestro questions amusedly. “I had it handled; You didn’t try anything I wouldn’t have been able to deal with.”
“Wha…”
“Didn’t want you to have any regrets so I put you to bed.” Sinestro pulls Hal closer, brushing strands of hair out of his face. “And talk to you in the morning.”
Hal inhales, leaning towards him and reaching up to press his hand against Sinestro’s neck, feeling him swallow thickly and wets his lips with his tongue. Hal turns his head, eyes closing as his lips brushes against his in a fleeting touch and shutters at the feeling as Sinestro’s hand reaches his hair, pulling him closer to deepen the kiss.
Sinestro wraps his other arm around his waist, dragging him further onto the bed and lowers him down against the pillows, kissing the goody lantern like he’s trying to devour the man. Sinestro shifts his leg in between his thighs, pinning the man down and shoves his tongue past his lips, hand buried in his hair as the other found it’s way to Hal’s throat.
A moan bubbles up the human’s throat, senses overwhelmed by the sheer aggressiveness in the Korugarian’s kisses and tries to match it, brushing his tongue against his and hooks a leg over Sinestro’s hip.
They shouldn’t be doing this, Hal can’t help but to think, it’s too desperate and deprived but he’s so lost in the other man’s touches that he didn’t want to stop. Another moan slips out of his throat when Sinestro rolls his hips, his fingers gripping the back of the man’s shirt and lifts his body to meet his thrusts.
“T-Thaal.” Hal gasps between kisses, one hand sliding up to grab his black hair and leans his head to the side while Sinestro removes his neck to kiss down his neck. “Fuck, Thaal-“
Sinestro rubs his thigh against his groin, thrusting against Hal’s leg as his eyes watches the man’s skin turn pink. He sits up abruptly, grabbing neckline of his shirt to rip it down the middle, exposing the flushed skin underneath.
Hal stares up at him, trying to catch his breath as Sinestro presses a hand against his chest, admiring the sight beneath him.
“I love watching you let go and lose control, so pleasing to know that it’s because of me.” Sinestro smirks, meeting Hal’s eyes before assaulting the man’s throat again, wanting to mark up as much skin as he’s able. He wants to claim him, make the lantern aware of who he belongs to and practically growls when Hal whines, arching up against Sinestro’s thigh in a desperate attempt to get himself off. He bites at Hal’s tender skin, earning a startled yelp from the man beneath him and nails raking down his back. The sting only serves to rile him up as well as the taste of blood on his tongue, grounding himself against the trembling man before leaning up to study the disheveled man.
Hal’s flush reaches down to his chest, lips swollen and panting as his hands fell back onto the bed, bloody hickies already forming on his neck with a obvious bulge forming in the front of his underwear; He looks absolutely breathtaking.
“Are you okay with this, Hal? People from my planet aren’t as…gentle when we’re intimate for the first time.” Sinestro warns, rubbing the front of Hal’s heaving chest then resting his hand against his throat, watching the powerful man fall apart by just his touch. “I won’t seriously hurt you but it’ll be more intense than you’re used to.”
“I…trust you, Thaal.” Hal responds, lifting his hand to grab ahold of his wrist, his words sparking something other than arousal in the Korugarian; Contentment. Sinestro leans down to capture his lips again, moving to settle in between his legs and runs his hands over quivering thighs.
“I’ve yearned for you to be by my side again for so long; Wearing either green or yellow, it didn’t matter to me as long as you were with me.” Sinestro whispers against his lips, his hands trail up Hal’s hips and leans back to palm at the front of his underwear, listening to the soft gasps the other makes. “Even if it means I’ll have to tolerate those tyrannical imbeciles you’ve placed your loyal in, you will be mine.”
Hal sits up quickly to hold Sinestro by both sides of his face and kisses him hard, catching him off guard enough to force him down on the bed, straddling his thighs and pin the alien down by his wrists.
“If you had just worked along side us in the first place, you could have had this a lot sooner.” Hal tells him, shrugging off his torn shirt and tosses it to the side. “I’ve always admired you, Thaal; Looked up to you, you were my friend.”
“I am your friend.” Sinestro reassures, laying still beneath him and sees the look of hurt cross Hal’s face. “Hal, I’m no longer your enemy-“
“We should have never been enemies in the first place.” Hal gets out, closing his eyes and trembles above him. “After your betrayal, all I wanted was for you to return, I never gave up hope that I could save you but every time we fought…”
“Hal.” He opens his eyes to look down at Sinestro, letting one of his hands free so the Korugarian could caress his cheek. “I’m here now, I’ve returned and I’ll never leave your side again.”
“Asshole.” Hal shakes his head as he leans down to kiss him again, releasing his other hand in favor of slipping them underneath Sinestro’s shirt. “Take this off.”
“Getting demanding, are we?”
“I could just rip it off you.” Hal mutters, leans up and runs his hands over the warm skin underneath. “Only fair considering.”
Sinestro smirks, pulling his shirt off and drops it off the edge of the bed, feeling Hal’s hands on his chest again, brushing over old scars. Sinestro pushes himself up off the mattress and shoves Hal back down, taking the opportunity to pull the human’s underwear off. Hal shivers at the sudden cool air against his erection, flushed and weeping from the lack of attention. Sinestro hums delightfully at the sight, wrapping his fingers around him and rubs the tip with his thumb.
Hal curses, covering his face with his arm while flushed skin seem to have gone a darker shade of red and it leaves Sinestro keen to tease the man until he’s reduced into begging and whimpering.
He lays down beside Hal to observe the human’s face as he strokes his cock, the green lantern bites his lip and grips the pillow beneath his head, hips lifting to thrust up into his hand.
“Now why are you doing that for?” Sinestro asks, kissing Hal’s jaw. “Hiding behind your arm bashfully and stifling your voice, let me see and hear you.”
Hal lets out a soft moan and lets his arm fall back down to the bed, eyes darken with lust and turns his head to let his lips meet his former mentor’s. Sinestro’s slows the pace, edging the flustered man until he lets out a frustrated cry and arches his back off the mattress. His own neglected erection throbs inside his pants from focusing on the man in front of him to think about his own needs, it’s growing too uncomfortable to ignore so he removes himself off the bed to strip himself from his last remaining clothing before attempting to continue teasing his lantern.
But Hal seem to have other ideas and once again managed to pin Sinestro down on his back, stealing another kiss and kisses down the yellow lantern’s chest.
“Should have known you would be too hardheaded to just submit.” Sinestro huffs, running his hand through Hal’s soft, messy hair and feels his heart flutter when the human laughs against his stomach.
“You should have known I wouldn’t just roll over and let you have your way.” Hal nips at his navel, kissing downward until he met the trail of hair and hears Sinestro take in a breath. “Never got a good look at you when we showered together back in the days, yours is a bit different than mine.”
“I would suppose it would be considering we’re two different species.” Sinestro says breathlessly while Hal took his cock in hand to get a better look at it; It’s a reasonable size, got a good girth and a few other additional oddities. Little bumpy ridges running up the side, precum already wetting the tip and for the first time in Hal’s life, seeing another man’s dick made his mouth water.
He settles in between Sinestro’s legs, stroking his dick as he tries to gather to courage to take it in his mouth, placing kisses along the length and nipping at the sensitive skin.
“Ever sucked another man’s cock before, Jordan?” Sinestro asks, still playing with his hair and watches Hal shake his head.
“Have you?” Hal asks curiously, his eyes flicking up towards his old mentor and sees the other man just raise a brow.
“Only other person I’ve shared a bed with was my late wife.” He responses, eyelids dropping as the green lantern took the tip into his mouth to suck. “I suppose we’ll have to practice.”
Hal hums, running his tongue around the head and slowly takes more into his mouth, eyes flicking up to see the other man’s face and notices his body shivering.
If what Sinestro told him earlier is true then the Korugarian must be resisting his urges to ravage him; Hal knows the chances of him topping Sinestro is slim given the other man’s nature but he wants a little bit of control of the situation before handing it completely over to him.
There’s the fact that he’s never had anything inside of him other than those unpleasant trips to the doctor; Hal has never experimented, just using his hand to get himself off so he has little to no clue how to have sex with a man and Sinestro just admitted that he’s only had sex with his wife.
“I don’t suppose you would know how to do this, so you?” Hal asks, flicking his tongue against the head. “Having sex with another man, that is?”
“I’ve educated myself on the basics.” Sinestro assures him, pulling Hal’s head off him and guilds him back up his body so he can lay on his chest. “No worries, I’ll take good care of you.”
He rolls them over to be above the human again, spreading Hal’s legs and scans around the bedroom.
“Do you have any lube?” Sinestro asks and Hal motions towards the nightstand beside his bed. He digs through the drawer and pulls out the bottle, holding up to read the label and glances at Hal. “Do you want to use protection?”
“Oh…um…” Hal didn’t think about that, lifting himself up on his elbows and swallows thickly. “I’m clean so uh…you?”
“I am.” Sinestro popping the cap of the bottle open and sniffs the strawberry scent. “It’s up to you if you want to use it or not.”
“I thought you wouldn’t want to use it.” Hal says amusedly.
“What makes you think that?”
“I figured…” Hal pauses, trying to find the right words to say. “With your ‘biology’ you’d would preferred to do without.”
“I would prefer to not use it but I’m not so far gone that I’d let my basic instincts cloud my head.”
“If we’re both clean then there’s nothing to worry about.” He smiles, running his hand over his own erection. “Fuck me bare.”
Sinestro inhales sharply through his nose, lifting Hal’s hips to place a pillow underneath him and pours lube into his hand to warm it up before pressing his index finger inside him. The human tenses at the strange intrusion and holds his breath, legs shivering while his partner works him open.
“I’ll be as gentle as I can.” Sinestro tells him, adding another finger and gets a groan. Hal bites his bottom lip and pants as the other thrusts his fingers inside him, his soft whimpers turning into desperate moans when the pace speeds up; Lean his back with a curse just as Sinestro adds a third finger. “Are you alright-“
A sharp gasp escapes the human, arching his back directly after his fingers brushes against his prostate and grabs the sheets.
“F-fuck, Sin.”
“Did I hurt you?” Sinestro asks, pausing his movements.
“Do it again.” Hal begs, breath shuttering and closes his eyes once Sinestro starts aiming for that spot, curling his fingers to rub against the little bundle of nerves and has Hal keening. Sinestro’s brow quirks and smirks at the sight below him, hungrily observing the powerful man crumble from his touch. It’s addicting to watch the way Hal’s eyes close and lips parting in pleasure, so vulnerable and open about how good he feels.
Sinestro leans down to press a kiss on his inner thigh, golden eyes glancing up towards the other man. The urge to sink his teeth in is overwhelming but he doesn’t want to scare away the man if he’s not ready for that, knowing he’s already going to be rough enough as it is.
Once he’s sure Hal is prepped enough, he removes his fingers to grab the bottle of lube again and covers his cock while watching the human catch his breath.
“Tell me if it becomes too much for you.” He says, moving closer and presses the tip against his entrance. He presses in, inch by inch, just slow enough to not cause any pain but not stopping until his hips met Hal’s rear. Hal lets out a breath like it’s been knocked out of him, it doesn’t hurt with how much Sinestro had prepped him but he feels so full and stretched. His hands grab onto his form enemy’s shoulders and could feel Sinestro trembling above him, resisting the need to move in order to let him adjust. He rests his head against Hal’s shoulder, inhale his scent and turns to nip at his ear. “I’m going to ruin you.”
“Don’t threaten me with a good time.” Hal gets out, wrapping his legs around his waist and curses under his breath as Sinestro pulls out halfway the thrusts back in. A small grunt leaves him, opening his eyes when Sinestro wraps his arms around his head possessively and lets out a noise that sounds closer to a growl than a groan.
It starts out slow, getting soft moans out of the man beneath him and growing higher in pitch when Sinestro sped up his thrusts, causing the bed beneath them to creak under their weight. Just as the Korugarian promised, he shows no mercy in his brutal pace and groaning in the Hal’s ear as the human cries out in intense pleasure; One of his hands grabs the back of yellow lantern’s neck, eyes rolling back and tries to remember to breath.
The sound coming from the human sets every nerve in Sinestro ablaze, turning his head to press his face against Hal’s neck.
“..Hal..” He says huskily, pulling his arms from his head to drag them down his sides and wraps arms around his hips, resisting the urge to wrap his hand around his throat as the familiar pressure builds in his groin. His movement is becoming more frantic, a solid hand slapping Hal’s ass then grabbing the back of his thigh with a squeeze. Hal has him lifting his head from his shoulder to pull him into kiss, moaning against his lips and tugs at Sinestro’s hair as a hand grabs him around his throat. The Korugarian growls into the kiss, pulling away to pant into his ear. He slows his quick pace and pulls back to stroke Hal’s flushed cock, growling out in deeper voice. “Mine.”
Hal thrusts up into his hand, arching his back with a shout. His vision blurs, his mind reeling and finishes hard in Sinestro’s hand, body convulsing under his weight as the other continues his fast pace, chasing his own release with the intent to fill the lantern until he’s dripping with his cum.
The urge to claim grows too much to bear and he pins Hal’s hands to his chest with his own weight, burying his face against the human’s neck, sinking his teeth into bruised skin, ripping a scream out of the man beneath him at the same time he fills him with his own seed.
“Fucking Christ, Thaal.” Hal pants, his legs held to Sinestro’s sides like a vice and letting his head turn to allow the other man more excess to his neck. “G-give a guy a warning next time.”
“I did, were you not listening?” Sinestro replies, pressing kisses up towards his jaw with a trail of blood in it’s wake. “I told you people from my planet can be overwhelmingly rough the first time they mate.”
Hal lets out a halfhearted huff, freeing one of his hands to hold the back of other man’s head as blood run down to his collarbone.
“I’ll keep in mind next time.” He says softly as Sinestro pulls out and gets out of bed, lifting his head as the man walks naked through his apartment. “Where are you going?”
“To fetch bandages from your first aid, I don’t want to leave that wound on your neck untreated.” Sinestro pauses at the doorway, looking at the green lantern from over his shoulder. “I’ll return shortly with something to drink and eat as well.”
“Never took you as pampering type.”
“Aftercare is important, Hal and I did just hurt you.” Sinestro replies, turning away to go fetch supplies and while he’s gone, it really sets in what they had just done. He doesn’t feel disgusted or shame, perhaps a little anxious about how things will proceed from here and how his friends and fellow lanterns will react; Hal can already hear Kilowog ripping him a new one and he can only imagine how the guardians will react. Hal lift his head when he hears Sinestro come back into the room, offering him some fruit he had in the kitchen and a glass of water. “The lack of food in your home is concerning.”
“Kind of hard to keep a job when you’re traveling around the universe.” Hal sits up to take a drink while the other busies himself to tend to his wound. “You’re not going to leave, are you?”
“If you’ll have me.” Sinestro finishes and sits back to look Hal over, seeing the many bruises forming over his body from his rough treatment and tsks to himself. “I should have been more gentler.”
“I’ll live, promise.” Hal sets the glass down on his nightstand and rests his hand on the other man’s arm. “You of all people should know I’m more sturdier than I look.”
“Yes, You’ve proven that time and time again.” Sinestro muses, taking a moment to study his face before holding his hand to the green lantern’s cheek. “Still, I should have had better control over it.”
“Stop worrying and come here.” Hal pulls in him to a kiss then leans back just enough to look him in the eyes. “How’s about a quick shower?”
