Summary
Not so long ago, on a planet we all know, there was a pair of friends.
They grew up together, true and dear friends despite their differences. Kalii, a bright, mischievous foster child, stayed close with Gerard as they grew. She spent more time at his family’s house than her own temporary homes, learning the skills of a mechanic as she helped care for his many cousins.
They swore they were sisters, exchanging halves of a friendship necklace, and stayed close as they grew up in a small, southern town on the planet only known as ‘earth’. Gerard, an aspiring animal doctor with a fierce love of living things, often set up adventures for the two to go on together, trying to help soothe Kalii’s longing to escape their small town life until they were ready.
