“Woah” Jaebeom let out when he entered the set. “Everything looks so pretty in marble”
Jinyoung smiled at him, endeared by his boyfriend’s reaction. “And it’s going to look even prettier on screen, believe me” he stood beside him. “Do you want to see my office?”
“Of course Judge Kim, that’s the main reason why I came here” Jaebeom nodded following his boyfriend further into the set of The Devil Judge.
Today’s scenes weren’t going to be so agitated and long, and they wouldn’t be moving locations, so Jinyoung had asked Jaebeom if he wanted to tag along for the filming.
Jaebeom had hesitated at first, saying he wouldn’t want to be any trouble for him. Plus he was shy to be around so many senior actors, but Jinyoung managed to convince him. Which was amazing because Jinyoung was really missing his boyfriend lately.
So far they hadn’t seen any of Jinyoung’s co-stars, only staff and the director, to whom Jaebeom made sure to introduce himself as Jinyoung’s friend and member of GOT7.
However, when they arrived at “his office”, Jinyoung was surprised to see Jisung there.
“Hyung?” He asked entering the room first, the older man was looking at his phone, sitting on a couch while one of his stylists was applying makeup on him.
“Hey” he greeted him without looking up from his phone. “We’re using this place for a quick fix, hope you don’t mind”
“Of course not, hyung” Jinyoung smiled, then he turned his head back to smile at Jaebeom and took him by his wrist into the room as well. “I brought someone with me today, by the way”
At this, Jisung finally looked up, just as the girl who was fixing his makeup announced she was done and left the room.
Jaebeom seemed to slightly froze on his place as Jisung looked at them and tilted his head to the side.
“Hey there” Jisung stood up and walked up to them. A knowing, pretty smile on his lips.
“Hey” Jaebeom replied instantly but then realized how casual that might have sounded to the senior actor and immediately started bowing at him. “I mean, it’s a pleasure to meet you Jisung-ssi, I’m a big fan of your work”
Jisung let out a hearty laugh and reached a hand out to shake Jaebeom’s. “Thank you. It’s a pleasure too, you must be...”
“Jaebeom, Jinyoung’s friend and member of GOT7” Jaebeom completed his sentence, gently taking his hand.
“Oh” there was surprise in Jisung’s expression as they separated hands. “I’m sorry, for a moment I thought you were the boyfriend”
Jaebeom’s expression was honestly priceless and Jinyoung couldn’t help but smile at him. He had expected this.
Their relationship was no secret by any means for anyone close to them such as their members, friends and family. However, after leaving their past company they decided not to go around telling every single person about it. Including label mates or in this case, co-stars.
So the surprise in Jaebeom’s face was quite funny.
“B-boyfriend?” he asked looking nervously at Jisung.
“Yeah. This kid never stops talking about his handsome boyfriend, I figured the first person he would bring here would be him” The actor explained now looking at Jinyoung who was trying hard not to laugh at Jaebeom’s cute expression. He must have caught onto what was happening because then he continued. “I’m sorry, hopefully I’ll meet him someday though. I’ve heard a lot of stories about him”
“Like what?” Jaebeom asked eagerly. “Uh. I mean, really? what does he say about him?”
“Ah. I don’t think that’s my place to talk about. You’re his friend you should know, right?” Jisung smiled.
“Yeah...”
“If he was here I would tell him all about the sappy love things Jinyoung has told me though”
“Hyung, that’s enough” Jinyoung interrupted. “I’m going to show my friend around”
“Wait!” Jaebeom held Jinyoung’s arm without taking his eyes off Jisung. “I am the handsome boyfriend”
“Jaebeom Hyung!” Jinyoung faked shock.
“Sorry, I... didn’t know you knew Jisung-ssi” Jaebeom told him and there was something close to disappointment in his voice, so when he looked at Jinyoung the younger avoided eye contact, not feeling the situation that funny anymore.
“Don’t act like that, neither of you” Jisung rushed out seeing the change in the atmosphere and the two awkward young men. “It’s all alright. Jinyoung didn’t mean to tell me, actually, it slipped? out when we were practicing a scene”
“Really?” Jaebeom asked but didn’t take his eyes away from his boyfriend.
“Yeah” Jisung affirmed. “He had to look at Gyuyoung with sincere love being shown in his eyes, but he wasn’t having it that day, so he asked me for help and I told him to practice with me” There was a pause where Jaebeom finally looked at the older actor again. “He was still having trouble with it because certain someone had cancelled a date a day prior I believe?”
Jinyoung nodded slightly, bitting his lip and still not looking at Jaebeom.
“So he was sad, even if he knew that certain someone didn’t do it on purpose but because his schedule had changed” Jisung smiled with affection. “And I told him my secret for when I have similar situations with my wife” Jisung patted Jinyoung on his shoulder. “I told him to turn the bitter feeling into the reason why he was feeling like that... which in this case was because he loved that person making him upset so dearly he felt upset for not being able to see them that day”
“I...” Jaebeom started but Jisung did a gesture for him to let him continue.
“So we practiced the scene again, and he did amazing, just... he didn’t say Gyuyoung character’s name when he said his love line” Jisung smiled looking between them. “Wanna guess which name it was?”
Jaebeom looked at Jinyoung and this time the younger was looking at him with a shy smile on his lips.
“Mine?” Jaebeom asked softly.
Jinyoung let out a chuckle titled his head. “Are you seriously asking? No, it was Heath Ledger’s, of course it was yours!”
“Ahhh” Jaebeom smiled and looked down sheepishly.
“Yeah. And after that the rest is history, because he admitted that it was the name of his boyfriend and then since I am the only one who knows on this set he would always come to me to tell me all the sappy stuff” Jisung teased. “You’re very romantic for what I’ve heard, Jaebeom, even my wife who has also heard all these stories from our facetime calls can’t wait to meet you someday”
“I don’t know what to say...” Jaebeom looked at his boyfriend with blush invading his cheeks and then at Jisung. “But I am glad and very thankful Jinyoung found someone he could trust enough to tell about us and even more if it is someone as supportive as you, Jisung-ssi, thank you so much”
“I’ve been around enough to see colleges of mine not accepting themselves and live like that, in a lie and in fear for the rest of their lives. When he told me about you I couldn’t feel prouder and happier for him. He was not ashamed to tell me about you, scared maybe because in this industry is never clear how someone will react, but never ashamed. He told me he had a boyfriend and that he loved him with all his heart with the most genuine smile I’ve ever seen. And the way his eyes light up every time he freely talks about you? you can’t put a price to that”
“Hyung!” Jinyoung talked again. His voice was slightly shaking and his eyes were holding small tears.
“And I haven’t even talked about any of the stories... don’t cry, as I said it’s just amazing to finally meet him”
Jaebeom bilked some tears away too and put an arm around Jinyoung’s shoulders so he could put his face under his jaw to hide his tears.
“Thank you again” Jaebeom smiled gratefully to Jisung and kissed Jinyoung’s hair. “And I actually would love to hear some of these stories”
Jisung opened his mouth to start just at the same time as Jinyoung pinched Jaebeom’s arm and the director’s voice was heard calling for Jisung. “I guess it will have to be some other time, maybe come for dinner at my house next weekend? I know for a fact that my wife Boyoung would love that, I’ll let Jinyoung know the details if you accept my invitation”
“Oh... it-it would be a pleasure” Jaebeom bowed his head in gratitude and Jisung smiled affectionately at the young couple before heading out.
“Jinyoung was right, his boyfriend is cute and really easy to like”
“Can we stop?” Jinyoung came out from his hiding place in Jaebeom’s neck and even if he tried to sound annoyed, his smile was telling otherwise.
“See you around lovebirds” Jisung winked at them before walking out. “Don’t cause any trouble to the filming”
Jaebeom and Jinyoung remained quiet until they couldn’t hear Jisung’s steps anymore.
“Oh my god” Jaebeom was the first one to talk. “I can’t believe you didn’t tell me and I can’t believe Jisung sunbae just invited us over for dinner at his house and I can’t believe you’re so in love with me you torment Jisung sunbae talking about us”
“Shut up” Jinyoung punched him on his chest with no force. “If I had told you then you wouldn’t have wanted to come with me... and I do not torment him, he likes hearing about you, in a fact he seemed really fond of you”
“Yeah... maybe I should be the one being tossed around by him” Jaebeom joked knowing all the scenes Jinyoung and Jisung’s characters had.
“Are you now crushing on my co-star?” Jinyoung pouted.
“Of course not baby, I’m just joking, I would rather being tossed around by Kim Gaon”
“Maybe we could do something with that” Jinyoung smiled and kissed him on the side of his lips. “But right now is time to work to make you proud”
“You always make me proud. No matter what” Jaebeom leaned and kissed him properly on the lips. “Thank you too for being so sincere when talking about us, you’re incredible and I’m really lucky to have you”
“Look who’s the sappy one” Jinyoung smiled at him lovingly. “Let’s stop before you make me cry again”
“Okay, Judge Kim” Jaebeom reciprocated the smile and stole one more kiss from his boyfriend.
