I Hate That I Want You

Summary:

Jungkook is a dance major at university and he has a strong disliking for drama students, one in particular, Kim Taehyung. They've seemingly hated each other for years. Everyone knows they hate each other. Both of their groups of friends aren't convinced but who are they to question it?

Jungkook knows that Taehyung hates him.

Taehyung knows that Jungkook hates him.

And then they go to a party and a forfeit changes everything...

Notes:

Prompt:

Taehyung and Jungkook “hate” each other until one night Taehyung gets drunk and sleeps with Jungkook (consensually!). Taehyung is horrified when he wakes up and tells Jungkook to forget it ever happened, but little did he know Jungkook wasn’t as drunk as he thought - and the night with Taehyung was the best sex he’s ever had, and after just one night he feels as if he’s addicted to Taehyung’s body and doesn’t want anyone else. Sadly Taehyung doesn’t seem to remember much of it.

After that Jungkook can’t get Taehyung out of his mind - he’s desperate to change their enemies status and make Taehyung want him back.

DW:
- lots of sexual tension (esp after they sleep together once)
- JK pining after Tae
- kinda oblivious Tae

DNW:
- dub con/non con (understanding that there is sex under alcohol influence)
-bdsm, hard kinks, degradation

Work Text:

“You know that Tae’s gonna be there, right?” Jungkook looks at his friend, “...him and his little gang of nerds.”

“You need to get over it, how long has this been going on?" Jimin says to his friend.

"Does it matter how long? I can't stand the guy and I don't know why we have to go to some stupid grad party."

After years of studying and exams, of endless lectures and campus life, graduation year had arrived and that meant tons of parties. Jungkook and Jimin were dance majors along with Hoseok. The trio had been a tight group of friends since they were ten years old and spent every hour of the day dancing. Two years ago their little group expanded to include a trio of music majors, Yoongi, Namjoon and Beomsoo. It was a useful union in more ways than one, the obvious point being that the dancers were never short of music to perform to and then there was the union of Yoongi and Jimin who quickly became a couple and have been inseparable since. They were all a part of the same section of the university and all shared dorms in the same area of the campus.

One of the other groups that shared the same area, breathed the same air and mixed in the same circles as music and dance was the drama crew. Performing arts was a specialist area of the university so it made up for a vast majority of students much to Jungkook’s displeasure. He didn’t like drama students, they were so over dramatic and extra all the time. He could be sitting quietly eating his lunch with his group of friends and suddenly the doors would open and in would walk a group of noisy students, talking loudly and usually throwing their hands around just to over emphasise their point… that everyone could hear anyway due to the volume level.

“See? They can’t even walk down the hall like normal people.” Jungkook hisses to Hobi who is within earshot.

“You know what actors are like. You should be used to it by now.” Hobi says.

“There will be loads of them at this party so you’ll have to get very drunk quickly.” Jimin adds as they walk towards the exit.

“I’ll need to get fucking drunk because Tae will be there.”

“Everyone knows you hate each other so I’m sure there will be enough alcohol there for both of you.” Hobi laughs.

There are too many reasons to list as to why Jungkook hates Tae but he can’t really remember any of them, he just knows that he does. His dislike for him started years ago, sometime during their early school years and that’s just the way it is. The thing is that the feeling is mutual.

Taehyung is a drama major, he’s flamboyant and encompasses everything that an actor should be. He’s also very gay, confidently gay which adds to his whole personality. He hangs out with his group of actor friends, a tight circle of guys who have been friends forever and all share the same love for drama. You rarely find Tae without Seokjin, Doyun and Juwon, even though the latter two members of the group are identical twins so unless they are together, no one actually knows which one is which. Jimin tells everyone he can tell them apart but he’s never been put to the test so people just take his word for it.

The performing arts subjects mix frequently as you would expect, especially when there is a big production like the one coming up. The show is a huge coming together of the entire performing arts section. The drama students act, the dancers dance, the music students set up the sound system and provide the music for the whole show. Such a huge production brings in the art students who design the posters and the technology students who help design any special effects needed. It’s a massive theatrical affair which showcases performing arts to the world and is a culmination of years of hard work by the graduating students. Unfortunately for Jungkook’s crew, it means having to work alongside the drama students which is bad enough but thanks to graduation there is now the subject of parties too.

“I’m hoping for drinking games,” Jimin says.

“Spin the bottle.” Hobi adds.

“Please tell me that you aren’t getting back together with Beomsoo?” Jungkook asks.

Hobi and Beomsoo have been on and off since Jimin and Yoongi got together. It’s been a rocky affair even with the friends with benefits agreement they had. They'd hoped that the closeness of the group would help but it made things awkward especially since Yoongi and Jimin have made their relationship work so well.

"Nah, we decided the last time that we wouldn't do it again. Things have been good since then."

Jimin giggles, "Beomy still would though."

"How do you know? What's he said?" Hobi stops walking.

"Chim, don't stir shit." Jungkook says.

"I'm not. Yoon told me that's what Beomy said. But Hobes has got eyes elsewhere." Jimin grins and wiggles his eyebrows.

Hobi starts walking again, "Shut up, Jimin!"

"What? Who do you have eyes on?" Jungkook asks, catching up with Hobi who is walking quickly.

"No one!" Hobi says while looking at Jimin who is giggling.

"It's obviously someone you don't want me to know about… is it Tae? Do you fancy him?"

Hobi quickly turns to look at Jungkook, "What? Tae? No, definitely not. That wouldn't be worth the hassle with you having the hots for him."

Jimin starts laughing loudly as Jungkook punches Hobi, "hashtag facts." Jimin says.

"Owww"

Jungkook scowls, "You've got to be kidding? You two have been my bros forever, you know I hate him."

"Mmmhmmm" both Hobi and Jimin say together.

"Don't you think I'd have made a move on him by now? We all know it wouldn't be difficult. "

"That shows you've thought about it." Hobi giggles.

"Why would I give that any thought? I can't even be in the same corridor without my skin crawling so getting closer would be torture. Stop changing the subject! Who is it?"

"Does it matter?" Hobi asks.

"Oh for fuck sake…" Jimin giggles, "... Juwon, it's Juwon."

"Oh well, that's no better, is it?" Jungkook replies.

“It is better because he isn’t stealing your crush.”

“Chim, I swear to god if you don’t shut up, I’m gonna tell Yoongi about the large dildo you’ve got in your drawer because his dick isn’t big enough to satisfy you.”

Hobi laughs loudly, “Do you? Oh my god! That’s hilarious. Just get a new boyfriend.”

“Hey! That is not true!! That big dildo is so we can practice double penetration without needing a third person… actually!!” Jimin emphasises his maturity by poking his tongue out.

Jungkook nudges Hobi with his shoulder, “Juwon? Really?”

“Yeah well, I’ve sorta had a thing for the twins for a while and then I bumped into Juwon at a comic book convention and that did it.”

“Are you sure it was Juwon at the comic thing? It could’ve been Doyun.” Jungkook laughs.

“He’s right, it could’ve been. Also, what if you fucked the wrong one by mistake?”

Hobi grimaces at his two friends, “This conversation is over. Doyun has a girlfriend, that’s how I know the difference.”

“What? He’s not gay? But they are identical twins?”

“Not that identical, obviously.” Hobi replies. “Now come on, we’ve got a party to get ready for and I need to play spin the bottle.”

****

“Thou doth protest too much!” Seokjin says through his cackling laugh at Doyun who is dramatically pouting.

“Whatever!” Doyun says. The petite male had been trying to convince his brother and two friends that he was okay with his girlfriend not wanting to go to the party tonight but no one believed him, even his twin.

“If you are going to sulk all night, maybe you should stay home?” Juwon suggests.

“I don’t sulk!”

Seokjin chips in, “Newsflash, you both do.”

“Hey!!” the twins say at the same time.

Over the years, Tae and Seokjin have tried to give the twins makeovers to get them to look different but through spending lots of time with them, they’ve learned the differences without needing to shave one of their heads.

“You do, I agree.” Tae says, looking up from his phone.

“Are we outfit ready?” Seokjin asks the friends that are sitting around on the floor of Tae’s bedroom. He has the biggest room in the dorm he shares so that’s usually the place where they meet and practice.

“I am! What time are we getting ready?” Tae asks.

“We are. We are wearing the same thing.” Doyun adds.

“How is Hobi going to know which one to make a move on?” Seokjin smirks.

“Wait… what? What’s the dancer got to do with anything?” Tae asks, ignoring the fact that his previous question had gone unanswered. This was much more important.

“Oooooh… the cat’s out of the bag now.” Doyun giggles, putting his hand over his mouth.

“What did you have to say that for, Jin!” Juwon complains.

“Can someone tell me what it is that I’m obviously the only one not to know?” Tae demands.

Juwon rolls his eyes and pouts, “You’ll just give us the speech though.”

“What speech?” Tae is confused.

“The Jeon Jungkook speech.” Doyun confirms.

“Yeah, that’s coming.” Seokjin says.

“What has this got to do with him?”

“Here we go…” Juwon takes a deep breath, “...I might have a small thing for Hobi and I might be hoping to make a move on him tonight or I might be hoping for a game that involves being shut in a room with him.”

Tae huffs and his eyes look at each of his friends, “But that will mean spending time in the same area as that arrogant dick…” he gets to his feet before he continues, “... Jeon Jungkook is a prick. He’s one of those annoying dancers that thinks that he’s better than everyone else. He doesn’t acknowledge that he is a performing arts student like the rest of us, he just prances about like an idiot who thinks his shit doesn’t stink.”

There is complete silence in the room, no one says a single word. They’ve heard the speech a million times before and they all recited along with Tae in their heads.

“Why Hobi? Why not Baekhyun, Dal or Byungho? They are okay for dancers. Why does it have to be Jung Hoseok?” Tae looks at Juwon and the others, standing with his hands on his hips, awaiting a response.

“Because he’s hot? And his voice makes me go a little bit funny inside but a good funny, like a ‘I need to jerk off’ sort of funny.” Juwon admits.

“That is the definition of ‘T.M.I’” Doyun says.

“I was answering the question.”

“That doesn’t answer my question though.” Tae states.

“It does. Hobi is hot as fuck. I saw him at that comic convention and we got on really well and then the next day he turned up in the canteen with that white cropped hairstyle and my dick quite literally had a life of its own in my pants.”

Jin cannot contain his laughter any more and he bellows. “Oh… oh. My. god… oh that’s funny.”

Doyun smacks his twin on the leg, “Ewwwwww! T.M.I! Please!”

“Ugh! I’m going to have to find someone who looks and sounds like Hobi and set you up with him… someone who isn’t best mates with the biggest dick on the planet.” Tae says.

“Is that why you have a crush on Jungkook? Because he’s got a big dick?” Jin asks Tae.

“Ooooooooh you are brave.” Doyun giggles, eyes wide as he covers his mouth with his hand and avoids Tae’s glaring look.

“I’m sorry… I what? I think we all know I hate him. He could pirouette the length of the corridor with a red rose between his teeth and he’d still be the biggest dick on the planet. Now, can we stop wasting our time talking about him? It’s now bad enough that there is a possibility that we may have to see more of him and his stupid little crew if Juwon gets his way with Hobi.”

The three guys share sly glances as they have their own thoughts on whether Tae actually hates Jungkook or not. Seokjin has known Tae for the longest amount of time and it’s always been a thing. The dislike between the actor and the dancer is well known in the performing arts world and it is convincing at times. Only last month they bickered in the queue in the cafeteria, throwing insults and jibes at each other until Tae threw his hands in the air and exited the building with his three friends following. No one knows what started it, just that one comment led to another and before they knew it the air turned sour. Seokjin noticed how Jungkook’s friends shared the same looks that he is used to seeing between himself and the twins and it got him thinking that maybe they all think the same thing.

Maybe they don’t really hate each other at all.

****

“Looking good, Tae!”

Jungkook rolls his eyes in despair and says "UGH!!" with conviction into the plastic tumbler he's about to drink from. It's always the same when Tae arrives at an event, breezing in like he owns the place. His outfits are always designed to make him stand out even more, Jungkook thinks. Today's ensemble of dazzling white trousers and plain white tee with a floor length butter yellow long sleeved shirt over the top that billows behind him like a sail, definitely draws attention to him and it's annoying. What is more annoying is the theatrical bow and waving of his hands as everyone greets him and Jungkook makes more mutterings into the cup.

"You have got to admit that he looks good?" Hobi says in Jungkook’s ear.

"Are you shitting me?" The dancer looks incredulously at his friend.

"Oh come on! JK, even you can accept that he's a good looking guy and his outfit tonight is fire."

"What is wrong with you? Please tell me what you've been drinking so that I can avoid it."

Hobi just laughs, "I'm not drunk… yet."

"I beg to differ." Is the reply from Jungkook.

Tae and his group disappear from view and Jungkook is relieved that they didn't choose to stand in the same room as them. There were enough performing arts students here, without that lot occupying the same space. Hobi is keen to find out which room they went to and to see whether any games had started so takes Namjoon for moral support and works his way through the crowd.

The house that is hosting the party is the family home of one of the graduating students. It's the biggest abode, with a summer house in the garden and more rooms than anyone actually needs. The family are away on business and allow their son to host a party every year, much to the delight of the students. There are rooms set up for games, some of which are only a good idea before people are drunk, like the pencil sketching game. The art students start off by choosing a random theme and sketching to a timer, which is great but then alcohol takes over and before you know it, one student is naked, begging to be drawn. The sketchpad makes for entertaining viewing the next day and the pictures usually always circulate. Most students like the alcohol ping pong game and other games that involve shots.

As the party goes on, drinks flow and the music gets louder. It's certainly in full swing when Hobi hears it on good authority that there is a spin the bottle game going on in a room upstairs. He really wants to make a move on Juwon and tonight is the night. He returns from his toilet break with the information and needs to sell it to the group because he doesn't want to go alone… that would be sad.

"Here he is!" Jimin announces when he sees Hobi.

"Did you use the toilet in the furthest point of the house? You've been gone forever!" Namjoon says.

Yoongi laughs, "Did you stop off for some tongue action on your way back?"

"No and no. But… I want some tongue action and there's a room playing spin the bottle. I think we should go." Hobi says with a huge smile.

"Absolutely not!" Beomsoo says, "I always end up kissing a total loser."

"Can't you just find him and pull him to one side?" Jungkook suggests.

"What? What kind of suggestion is that?" Hobi asks his friend.

"A sensible one." Beomsoo adds.

Jungkook gives the music student a nod in appreciation. "Exactly. It's a sensible one. You like him, go find him."

"You're abandoning me?" Hobi frowns.

“No, I want you to abandon us so that we don’t have to go and play spin the bottle.” Jungkook says.

“Oh come on… be my wingmen for one night? You don’t have to play?”

“I think we should all go.” Yoongi adds.

“Let’s just do a load of shots then go and support Hobi.” Jimin suggests.

“Why are you two so keen to go?” Beomsoo asks the couple.

“Because it gives me a hard on watching my boyfriend kiss someone else.” Jimin says.

“Really?” Hobi asks, a little surprised.

“Yeah… I know that no one can kiss him like I can so it doesn’t mean anything and they can dream on if they think it’ll get them anywhere so why not?” Jimin turns to accept the kiss from the man whose arms are wrapped around him.

Well… erm… ok-ay then." Beomsoo says wide eyed. He'd always thought the couple were a bit kinky but this just confirmed said thoughts.

"That's sorted then… a couple of rounds of shots for Dutch courage, then up to the room for some fun." Hobi declares.

Jungkook huffs, "I'm gonna need the whole fucking bottle."

"Not if I get to it first." Namjoon says, reaching for the bottle and laughing.

The six guys get on with their drinks and Hobi sees Juwon and the actors heading up the stairs. This is going to be fun.

***

"You are such a lightweight."

"Which one?" Seokjin asks Juwon.

"Both of you? I can't believe my brother fucked off."

Tae laughs, sort of swaying as they find somewhere to sit in the room designated for the 'Spin the bottle' game. "He's gone to get some pussy."

"You know that you're drunk when you say shit like that." Juwon says.

"If there are pictures on Instagram of him with a kitten, I'm gonna die laughing." Seokjin says.

Juwon shakes his head at his two friends who are both laughing at the ridiculous joke. "Do you think Hobi will come up here?"

Tae giggles, "Isn't that really forward? You haven't even kissed him, yet."

"Oh my god! What's with the filthy mouth when you're drunk?" Juwon asks, sitting down on one of many couches in the room, next to his friends.

The room is huge. There are leather sofas forming some kind of dodgy edged circle and a table in the centre that has a singular bottle in the middle of it. The three drama students sit together on one of the couches and people filter in and take seats on the other seating. The music can be heard from downstairs and the buzz of people talking fills the air.

"I'm not drunk." Tae claims, which just earns more giggles from his two friends.

"Then neither am I." Seokjin declares, lifting his hand and fist bumping Tae.

Juwon is despairing but his mood definitely improves when he sees Hobi walk through the door. "Yes!!"

"Oh, for fuck sake." Tae says, a little louder than he probably would've said had he not had a skin full.

"If you get Jungkook and have to kiss him, I'm gonna die laughing." Seokjin says, while laughing loudly.

"If that fucking bottle points at me, I'm shifting so you are in the frame." Tae says to Seokjin, pointing a long index finger at him to accentuate his point.

"No thanks. I'm not that drunk but wouldn't mind having a tongue sandwich with Joon."

"What? Since when?" Juwon suddenly became interested in their conversation.

"Since alcohol consumption allows me to say it." Seokjin says quite honestly.

"There are other guys on campus, you know? We need to find them. One’s not connected to Jungkook." Tae hisses.

By the time that the six dance majors have taken seats on two of the couches opposite the drama guys, most of the seating is taken up. A student from the music department, stands up and closes the door, then stands on the coffee table in the middle of the couches.

"Listen up! This is spin the bottle remixed and here are the rules..."

Jungkook leans across to Namjoon, "What the fuck is remixed? Are we meant to be too drunk to care?"

Namjoon laughs, "Maybe. You should've drunk more if you aren't drunk enough."

"... I will spin it first and the two people it lands on get to do the forfeit from the box. If you don't want to do it, you have to drink this... trust me, you don't want to drink this. This is a gay game, if you didn't realise, hets can leave or sit away from the couches, if you just wanna watch. Are we clear?"

There is lots of 'whooping' and cheers. No one leaves the couches so the man gets off of the table and places the bottle on its side, on a disc that keeps it in place. The disc also aids spinning and was quite literally made for this game.

Tae looks at Jungkook out of his peripheral view. The man irritates him, even when he's inebriated. The way the dancer sits is annoying, legs covered with black leather look trousers, knees apart, man spreading like he owns the couch. The black V neck tee hangs low, which is obviously to draw attention to his body and is also something else that is annoying. He always appears so cocky and thinks so fucking much of himself. He saunters through corridors at university like he owns them and rumour has it, he's bedded most of the dancers in the year below. There are many rumours about Jeon Jungkook and Tae believes all of them because the guy is a class A prick now and always has been. He's looking forward to graduating and never having to lay eyes on the dancer again, he's suffered him enough over the years. He's the reason that Tae doesn't like dancing, why would he bother when the drama department always gets the dance majors in to teach them? As soon as he realised that the chances are that Jungkook would be telling him what to do, there was no way he was signing up for that so he's always avoided it. The thing that Tae is most grateful for, is that Jungkook hates him too. The fact that the feeling is reciprocated makes life so much easier for him because it means that he doesn’t have to be civil or pretend. The dancer doesn’t want to be anywhere near him and that suits Tae. It also helps that everyone in their year is aware of this and it is an accepted fact that Taehyung hates Jungkook and Jungkook hates Taehyung.

"Get into a sex position but one where you can kiss!" The guy in charge of the forfeit box reads out to Tae and the art student with rainbow coloured hair.

"If you're a top… you are in trouble, dude! Tae totally tops from the bottom!" Seokjin shouts out.

Tae laughs and stands up, removing his yellow overshirt and placing it on his seat. "Stay there." He says to the art guy who was about to get up.

"Told you!" Seokjin laughs.

The art student smirks, “Come on then, gorgeous.”

Tae climbs into his lap, he hears the cheers of the people around him and he wastes no time in moving forwards and connecting their lips. The sound of everyone cheering and ‘whoop whooping’ can be heard around him as he gets a taste of the beer that the guy drank only minutes before. He grinds his hips down and combs his fingers through the rainbow coloured strands of hair.

Jungkook watches from his diagonal position and rolls his eyes as Jimin nudges him, “Fuck! He’s hot.”

“I’m sure you’d be saying that if that was Yoon sitting under him.” Jungkook says while draining his tumbler and looking around for more alcohol.

“I’d be videoing it to watch later, actually!” Jimin says.

“You aren’t right.”

The cheers get louder as Tae shuffles backwards and the art student helps him off of his lap, both wiping their mouths. Jungkook mutters “Ugh!” under his breath when Taehyung turns around and courtesies to each sofa before he takes a seat again. After he’s sitting down again, he turns to Jungkook and winks, receiving a middle finger salute in response which makes him laugh.

“Fuck! That guy is a prick.” Jungkook says to Hobi.

“Yeah and he knows exactly how to wind you up. Stop taking the bait.” Is Hobi’s response.

“He’s annoying! Of course it works.”

Hobi loses interest in anything that his friend is saying when the bottle chooses Juwon and then points at him. He’s already fed someone a snack from his mouth and had someone else wrap their legs around his head so he’s ecstatic to finally be paired with his crush and he doesn’t care what the forfeit says because he will be kissing him.

“Spend five minutes in that closet and what you get up to is your choice but do not muffle your noises.” The student reading the forfeit says.

“Oh my god!” Jimin squeals, “Go on, Hobes!!”

“Suck him off!” Yoongi suggests.

“How loud can you get him to be? Go on, Seokie!” Namjoon cheers as Hobi gets out of his seat and smiles at Juwon, who also looks pleased.

“I have stayed sober for this moment,” Juwon says to Seokjin and Tae.

“Only you can stay sober so you can get locked in a closet.” Seokjin laughs.

“We wanna hear him choking when you cum.” Tae says.

Juwon shakes his head. His friends are quite shameless on a normal day but intoxicated Taehyung is a whole different ball game. He joins Hobi at the closet doors. Two doors, slotted wood with two round handles. There is a small metal clasp that hooks from one door to the other on the outside which will shut them in.

The whole room erupts in cheers as the two young men enter the closet and close the door. The metal hook is flipped across and there’s silence for a few brief seconds before the bottle is spinning again and attention is diverted from the closet.

The next sound to be heard is Seokjin’s laughter, above all other noises in the room and the look on Tae’s face says it all. “Fuck, no!” the drama student says as the bottle lands on him and then Jungkook.

“Fuck off!” Jungkook says to the guy who was responsible for spinning the bottle.

“Shit in hell, this is hilarious.” Namjoon laughs.

“What are you waiting for?” Yoongi asks Jungkook who looks so unimpressed it is untrue.

“Tae, you have to do this… you can’t refuse… imagine how he will look if you are up for it?” Seokjin whispers loudly in his friend’s ear.

Tae scowls back, “But I’m not up for it!”

“You’re a fucking actor… a drunk one… act!!” Seokjin watches Tae’s expression change as the words sink in.

The student who appears to be in charge, pulls a piece of paper from the box and reads it out loud after waving his hands to request silence. As the room falls quiet, a few moans can be heard from the closet and subsequently a few muffled giggles can be heard in the room.

“Spend an hour in a bedroom… no lights on."

There's a few gasps and a whole lot of awkward laughter around the room. Tae gulps down the remaining liquid in his bottle then gets to his feet, placing a hand on Seokjin's shoulder to steady himself as he does.

"Which room is ours?" Tae says as brazenly as he can.

Jungkook isn't impressed, "I'm not doing it." He says to Jimin.

"You're gonna look like a prick if you don't do it." Jimin replies.

"It's one hour… how bad can it be?" Beomsoo asks.

"If he's up for it and you refuse, he wins, JK." Namjoon pitches in.

Even after a few drinks, Jungkook is competitive and there was no way that he was letting the drama student win anything!

"Are you wimping out, prancer?" Tae says, eyebrows raised.

The dancer gets to his feet, "Certainly not." He wants to say so much more but he's about to spend an hour with the guy so even he can see that it's better to keep it to himself.

They follow the guy who read the forfeit, through a door to a bathroom then through another door into a bedroom. “This room has been prepared for this forfeit. Lightbulbs removed, door will be locked, I’ll come back and get you in an hour. There’s an ensuite that way.” He points across the room, “Okay? If you’re both ready, I’ll leave you to it.”

The two guys reluctantly agree, both saying ‘yeah’. The room has a king sized bed in the middle of the room, ornate cupboards, several doors, one of which they know is the toilet, one they can presume is the way out and one is the door that closes behind them and thrusts the room into complete darkness.

The silence is deafening.

Jungkook walks forwards until his legs hit the bed and he feels with his hands so he knows where the edges are. He can’t think of anything more embarrassing than falling off the bed and he’s 100% sure that the drama student would never let him live that down. If he’s going to spend the next hour in a dark room with his enemy, he may as well be comfortable. The sound of his shoes hitting the floor is the next thing to be heard, followed by movement on the bed as the dancer shuffles up the bed and props himself up against the headboard, legs outstretched, crossed at the ankle.

“Are you gonna stand there for the next hour?” He asks into the darkness.

“Of course not. Just taking off my shoes.” Tae says, swaying a little and wishing that he hadn’t drained that bottle before ending up in here.

Jungkook feels the bed dip and smirks, “Reckon this is gonna be the slowest hour, ever.”

“We’ll have to find something to pass the time then.” Tae doesn’t have a clue as to what they could do and hopes that Jungkook doesn’t ask for suggestions but he thinks this might be easier because it’s dark and he can’t really see him.

“Charades in the dark is a bit difficult.” Jungkook says.

“We could still write things to guess.”

“What?” Jungkook has no idea what on earth Taehyung is talking about and he doesn’t think it’s got anything to do with the alcohol.

“Charades but write it… here… give me your arm.” He doesn’t really want to have to converse with the dancer because a) nothing about him is interesting, b) he knows enough about him already, c) he doesn’t think he would be able to string a completely coherent set of sentences together anyway, d) it might alter his perception of Jungkook and he’s happy with his current dislike of him.

“My arm is beside you.” Jungkook hasn’t got a clue what Tae is doing but he doesn’t have the patience for him.

The drama student feels across with his left hand and it feels like Jungkook is miles away as his body starts to lean into the centre of the bed and he can’t find him. “Are you messing about?”

“What? No! I’m here.” Jungkook rolls his eyes in the darkness. He’d have expected some kind of light in the room but presumably it either doesn’t have windows or they really did cover up all light sources for that blasted forfeit.

“Where?”

Jungkook sighs… he’s been at this party too long, he’s had too much to drink and he’s not in the mood for this. “Shuffle into the middle and I’ll do the same.”

“Okay.”

They both move at once, Tae nearly falls off the bed as he puts his right hand down to push up on but hadn’t realised he was so close to the edge. He manages not to embarrass himself though and before he knows it, his leg accidentally kicks Jungkook. When they settle, he reaches out again with his left hand and feels his way in the small space between them where he finds what he was originally looking for.

“We can play charades but like this…” He picks up the dancer’s arm and places it on his lap then strokes along it so he has some idea of what he’s doing. “... there.” He says, after writing a word on Jungkook’s arm with his index finger.

“What?”

“Is that the only word you can say?”

“Fuck off, Tae.”

“Are we playing or not?”

“If we must. Do I get a clue?” This game is already tedious.

“Item in the room.”

“Bed?”

“Yes!” Maybe Tae overestimated Jungkook. Maybe he isn’t as dumb as he thought.

“What now?”

“It’s your turn.” The drama student says, placing his arm clumsily on Jungkook’s body.

The dancer uses both hands to feel for Tae’s arm. He thinks that his eyes are adjusting because he can at least start making out shapes. “Something in the room.”

“You?”

“No.”

“You wrote, me’.”

“Me is the answer, then.”

“Whatever. My turn.”

“Go on then.” Jungkook says.

Tae huffs when his index finger writes off of the sides of the dancer’s arm. “I need more space.”

“You aren’t writing an essay.” Jungkook doesn’t see why he needs more space.

“No but, this is a movie… your arm isn't big enough.” He moves Jungkook’s arm and fumbles around, finding what he thinks is the dancer’s t-shirt and tugging it upwards to reveal the abs that he can’t really see.

What are you doing?” The dancer hisses.

“Told you… need more space.” Tae says. He turns onto his side facing Jungkook and draws supposed letters onto the dancer’s skin.

“Tae!” the dancer complains when his stomach flexes with sensitivity at the featherlight touch.

“Well? Guess!” Tae demands.

“I don’t know!” Jungkook was so focused on the tickling sensation that he had no idea what was written.

Tae makes the situation more difficult when he does it again, “Try again.”

Jungkook closes his eyes which is stupid, given that the visibility is minimal as it is. His head feels fuzzy as he does his best to focus on the movements of Tae’s finger. “I don’t know… Iron Man.” He says, his body jolting once more and the irritation apparent in his voice.

Taehyung giggles as he feels the dancer’s ab muscles flex and his body twitch. He uses all four fingers and thumb on his right hand to irritate Jungkook further by trailing his hands across to his sides. “No… not iron man.”

“Tae! Stop it!” Jungkook wriggles around more.

“Guess again.” Tae says, leaning over to tickle the dancer more.

“Fuck off…” It’s annoying and frustrating and visibility is hazy, which matches his head, “... Superman?”

“No… try again…” Tae giggles. He needs to get closer because Jungkook keeps managing to wriggle out of his touch. He doesn’t really think about it when he moves faster than he should and manages to swing his leg over and land on the dancer. His head swishes a little bit and he gets a wave of nausea thanks to the alcohol but he can now use both hands to tickle Jungkook, which is exactly what he does. “... One more guess.”

The dancer is wide eyed when the actor straddles him. It’s a clumsy move but thanks to the semi darkness he can’t really prepare himself and before he knows it, he’s looking up at him. Thanks to the white outfit and the fact that he is now so very close, he can see him a whole lot better than he did when he was only looking at him from the side of his eyes earlier. His hands move to Tae’s hips and he’s had enough of this game. “Tae! I don’t know… I don’t know… stop… please… stop.”

The actor releases the pressure on Jungkook’s torso but continues with a lighter touch, “Okay… I’ll do it a letter at a time… no tickles.”

“Just tell me.” Jungkook says.

“One letter… first one... “ He draws with a finger on the skin beneath him, “...Guess.”

“Ugh! Umm… B?” The sooner this is over, the better.

“Yes… next one…”

“A?”

“Yes! This one?”

“T… gah… fuck… Tae…” Jungkook’s breath catches as Tae’s finger brushes over one of his nipples.

“Next one…” The drama student acknowledges the small spark of arousal as the tone of Jungkook’s voice drops. “... guess.”

The dancer can’t remember what the other letters were as both his nipples are grazed over lightly. “W… No… M… fuck… T-tae.”

“Mmmhmm… two more…” he says, fingertips now circling the two pert buds, “... guess.”

Jungkook’s skin is tingling and his fingers flex on the actor’s hips. “A… I think?”

Tae rolls his hips down, “One more… guess.”

The dancer takes a deep breath and hopes it isn’t obvious that he’s affected, “N… maybe?”

Tae falls forwards and places a hand either side of Jungkook’s head, rolls his hips at the same time as he speaks, “Well done.” His voice is quiet and deep.

Jungkook can see Tae’s face, albeit hazy from the darkness of the room. He doesn’t know what possesses him when he lifts his head and kisses the drama student. It’s a moment of madness but he doesn’t have time to think about it as Tae slides his tongue into his mouth and pushes his head into the pillow. He can taste whatever it was that Tae had been drinking, he can feel how soft the flesh is on his hips and he can feel his cock hardening with every movement of the man above him.

The dancer pulls Tae’s white tee from the waistband of his trousers and groans in disapproval when the actor breaks the kiss to sit upright and clumsily remove the garment, himself. Jungkook explores Tae’s torso with his fingertips, his skin is so soft and alluring. Tae looks to the ceiling and winds his hips in a figure of eight, his skin prickling and sending little shocks of arousal to his crotch. Jungkook’s fingers blindly fiddle with the fastening of the white trousers while Tae tries to remove the black t-shirt the dancer is wearing.

Jungkook is having the shirt tugged off of him when he grabs Tae’s waist and flips them so the actor is on his back. He kisses him again and allows Tae to finally remove his tee. The drama student pushes Jungkook away, hands on his chest and the dancer retreats to the side of the bed. He's about to grab his t-shirt and agree that this is probably not a good idea anyway as Tae proceeds to get himself out of his trousers and underwear. Jungkook follows suit, throwing his leather trousers somewhere onto the floor along with his underwear.

"Hurry up, it's getting cold." Tae says. Any part of him that wants to remind him of his dislike of Jungkook has been silenced by a mixture of alcohol and pure unadulterated sexual need.

The bed moves under the dancer's weight as he climbs onto the bed. There's a few awkward moments when they are trying to find each other in the limited visibility but their lips are soon connected and their tongues work on getting acquainted. Jungkook’s body was poised above Tae’s, his lips slid against the drama student's lips. He moved down the drama student’s body, nipping at the skin and feeling the reaction in his groin when he drew deep throated moans from the man squirming beneath him. He spits into his hand before taking Tae's cock into his mouth, dragging his fingers down his perineum towards his entrance. He takes him deep into his throat while inserting his fingers and it's the repertoire of pleasurable sounds coming from Tae that cause him to choke.

The dancer hums around Tae's shaft when the man squirms and wriggles on his fingers. He can taste the droplets of pre-cum as he sucks gently and drags his mouth languidly up and down his cock. Tae's breaths are erratic, he sits up and pulls Jungkook off of his member by his hair, moving so he can crush their mouths together in a sloppy kiss. Both men are unsteady as they kneel on the mattress, holding onto each other for support as saliva leaks from their mouths and lewd sounds of appreciation fill the room. Tae breaks the kiss and wraps his hand around Jungkook’s erection, while his mouth turns its attention to his neck. He sucks a little hard in places and Jungkook groans hoarsely as he does. The drama student bends down, trying not to wobble too much and spits crudely on Jungkook’s cock. He kitten licks the swollen head then returns to his previous position, grabbing hold of the dancer’s neck and pulling him on top of him.

Jungkook manages to put his hands out to save him from falling on top of the man laying on his back. He curses when Tae hoicks his knees up around his waist and the head of Jungkook’s cock presses against the awaiting pink hole. He pushes in slowly, attempting to kiss Tae back as his erection is swallowed inch by inch. His mouth falters often before he finally bottoms out and he kisses Tae deeply while he waits for the tight muscles to relax so he can move. The actor is impatient, he bucks his hips and pushes upwards into the kiss. His fingers claw at Jungkook’s back and twist in his hair when he starts thrusting his pelvis forwards. One particularly harsh thrust has him scream out in ecstasy and he digs his fingernails into the skin beneath them.

Jungkook rolls them over as their teeth clash and they lick heartedly into each other's mouths. His hands return to Tae's hips, holding firmly as he'd done earlier but this time when the actor grinds down and snakes his hips, Jungkook’s cock is massaged deliciously by the muscles enveloping it. Tae scratches at his chest when he begins to thrust up into him and meet his movements. The drama student throws his head back and moans into the semi darkness that their eyes have both become accustomed to, as white ribbons of cum erupt from his dick. Jungkook wishes he could see more clearly because the view as it is, pushes him closer to his own orgasm. He grips Tae and moves out from under him, he turns him over and re-enters him once he's on all fours, ass in the air, begging to be fucked. His hands on Tae's hips pull him backwards onto his cock, skin slapping sounds reverberating around the room. As he's about to cum, he pulls out and strokes himself quickly and firmly until he spills onto the man in front of him.

With ragged breaths and quiet hums of satisfaction, Tae falls forwards and Jungkook collapses behind him. Neither of them have any idea how long they've been in the room or what the time is as sleep takes control of them both.

****

"Ugh!" Tae mutters, his head is pounding as he blinks himself awake. As he comes around, he feels movement behind him and he freezes… fuck… who is it? What happened? He lays still as his heart thumps in his chest and looks at the view in front of him, which he doesn't recognise. His memory is grainy but he doesn't recall this room, now cast in more light, revealing a floral wallpaper and wooden furniture. He moves away from whoever is behind him and sits on the edge of the bed, groaning in discomfort at the pain in his head and the aching in his limbs. His face is one of horror when he turns around and sees who is laying naked on the bed… oh… fuck… no way! Had he really been THAT drunk? Fuck!

He looks around the room and sees the discarded clothes, he can't hear any noise so presumes the party has finished. It's while he's putting on his underwear that he sees Jungkook stirring and rubbing at his eyes. He tries to move quickly to finish getting dressed as he locates his trousers and his head feels like there's a sea storm going on in it as waves of nausea come periodically.

Jungkook sits up… oh shit… he doesn't recognise the room but he sure as hell remembers last night. It takes him a minute to compute and even though his head is fuzzy and thumping, he needs to speak to Taehyung. "Erm… morning?" He says because he doesn't know what to say and he also doesn't know if it's morning but the room is light so he can only presume.

Tae looks up from where he's picking up his shoes, "Yeah, morning… this did NOT happen… whatever did…" he sits on the bed and starts putting on his footwear.

"Tae… we… we should talk…" He reaches down for his clothing on the floor and his head complains at him for the movement.

"What? No… talk? About what? We should just forget it happened." He says quickly.

"You don't wanna talk about it?" Jungkook stares at the man running his fingers through his curly golden hair and walking towards the door.

"No… there's nothing to talk about. It was a mistake… forget it." He tries the door and finds the bathroom so goes to another door which opens immediately.

Jungkook sits in silence, clothes in a pile beside him, underwear in his hands as Taehyung disappears and the door closes, leaving him alone.

****

"Wow, you look like crap." Seokjin says as he collapses into the bean bag on Tae’s bedroom floor.

"Thanks. What are you doing here?" The shower didn't help, breakfast didn't help, the memories being so blurry didn't help.

"We have a lunch date with the twins." Seokjin eyes his friend curiously.

"Yeah, of course."

"I think Juwon wants to spill everything from last night. He was joined at the hip with Hobi after they finally came out of that closet…" Seokjin laughs out loud, "... oh the irony!"

"Closet?" Tae isn't sure what happened in what order and all he can think about is seeing Jungkook naked on the bed this morning.

"The game? They had to go in that closet for five minutes but when someone went to let them out they requested to stay in there so I didn't see him again."

"How long were they in there?"

"No idea. There was a quick fire game where we took turns to spin the bottle five times and you drank a shot then kissed that person. That ended me and I went home after that."

“I’m surprised you made it home.”

Jin frowns at Tae, “You’re acting weird.”

“I’m not.”

“You are. I was gonna hang around for the hour you were in that room but seriously, those shots finished me off… and… I might’ve kissed Namjoon.”

“That’s great.” Tae says, folding up some clothes and putting them in a drawer.

“Tae… now I know you are acting weird! We can’t mention one of the dancers without an eye roll at the very least… what happened when you came out after the hour?”

“There’s a question… I erm… didn’t leave the party until about two hours ago.”

Jin choked and tried to sit up quickly but it was a task in the beanbag. “What? You can’t be serious?! What happened after you left the bedroom then? Who did you hook up with? Come on, I want details!”

“I left the bedroom two hours ago…” Tae says quietly.

No way!! You have got to be shitting me?? Is Juwon hiding in your closet and this is a set up? Are you pranking me?”

“Unfortunately not… I actually wish that I was.”

Jin fought with the beanbag and won, sitting upright and leaning forwards. “Did you fuck Jungkook… I mean… be fucked by Jungkook?”

“I think so.”

“You think so?”

“Memory is a bit sketchy but I think so.”

“You mean you can’t ignore your aching ass?” Jin laughs out loud.

“Can’t we talk about something else?”

“No! No way! No… way! Absolutely not!”

Taehyung sits on the edge of his bed, “I don’t know what you want me to say?”

“Why were you in there until this morning, for a start?” Jin had just presumed that the hour had been up after he left and they’d been let out after he was home.

“I don’t know… I remember going in there and how dark it was and remember parts of it but then… ugh! I woke up this morning.”

“You woke up with Jungkook?”

Tae rubbed his face with his hands, “Yes… ugh!”

“Naked?”

Tae collapses backwards onto the bed and grabs a pillow which he puts on his face and mumbles, “Yes” into it.

“Yikes! What did he say?”

Tae lifts the pillow from his mouth so he can answer his friend, “That we should talk.”

“And then what?” Seokjin felt like this was quite similar to trying to get blood out of a stone.

“Nothing because I left.”

“You didn’t talk to him?”

“Why would I want to do that?”

“Erm… don’t you talk to guys that you’ve had sex with?”

“Not the ones I hate… no… I don’t.”

“Are you still banging that drum?”

Tae covers his face again, “It doesn’t change anything!” He shouts into the pillow.

“Was he a good fuck?” Seokjin needs to know.

“I can’t remember.”

Seokjin laughs, “How very convenient, Taehyung.”

Both guys are startled as Juwon walks into the bedroom, “What’s so funny? Did you tell him that the door to the bedroom was never locked and he could’ve left at any time?”

Tae sits up and throws the pillow at Seokjin, “What?!”

“Hey! I didn’t know… did I?” Seokjin looks at Juwon.

“You did but you were also wrecked before you left."

The door opens again as Doyun enters, "Have you told them about the blow job yet?"

"One thing at a time. I was just telling Tae that they weren't locked in that bedroom."

"Oh… carry on."

Seokjin looks at the twins who are sitting on the floor. "Didn't anyone go in after the hour?"

Juwon shakes his head, "No. Everyone left the game not long after you left and it was quiet so we thought they'd left through the other door or fallen asleep and everyone was drunk as hell."

"It was dark! I didn't even know there was another way out until this morning and even then, I opened the bathroom door first!"

The twins look at each other and speak at exactly the same time. "This morning?"

Seokjin laughs and is so pleased none of this is about him. "He was totally fucked by his mortal enemy."

"Woah! Was he good?" Doyun asks.

"I can't remember." Tae says as he falls back onto the bed again.

"Really?" Juwon asks, looking at Tae then at Jin.

"Yes, really… can we talk about something else now because I'd like to erase the memories I do have. As far as I'm concerned, a drunken fumble in the dark because of a game means nothing. I don't want to talk about it again… and I do not want this spoken about outside of this room… got it?"

The three friends nodded and muttered an agreement but none of them would keep to it… this was definitely something they needed to discuss!

****

Jungkook rolls his eyes for the hundredth time as Beomsoo asks him again what's going on. He'd left the house the party was at, all in a bit of a daze after waking up with Taehyung. He didn't know what to make of the drama student's reaction but he'd hoped they could talk.

"You rarely come here on your own, so spill the fucking tea because I know there is some." Beomsoo joined the group along with his music major buddies, Namjoon and Yoongi. They had become a tight group especially with Yoongi and Jimin being a couple but he didn't really spend a great deal of time one on one with Jungkook (or Jimin) and his one on one's with Hobi used to always end up with sex.

"If you breathe a word of this to anyone, I will end you." Jungkook says. He doesn't mean it but he needs someone he can trust. He toyed with talking to Jimin but he would be at Yoongi's and Yoongi is in a dorm with Namjoon so that rules them out. He considered Hobi too but he is keen on Juwon and that collaboration isn't a welcome one, given the circumstances.

Beomsoo looked seriously at the dancer, "It won't leave this room, you have my word."

"I woke up in that room this morning… with Taehyung."

After a lot of blinking, Beomsoo spoke. "That room? The room at the party?"

Jungkook nods his head to confirm, "Yeah… I mean, I don't know why no one came for us after the hour."

"There was a kissing shot game after you went into the room with Tae. Hobi and Juwon asked to stay in the closet longer and by the time people had taken turns at the kissing and shots, we were all so drunk. Joon got it on with Jin by the way. I think there was talk that you'd gone… people thought you'd left."

"But we were locked in?"

"Erm…. No… no you weren't."

Jungkook dragged his hands down his face, "You're kidding?"

"Nope. Both doors were unlocked."

"I don't suppose it matters."

The music student is a little bit shocked. "I thought you'd go psychotic about it."

"Yeah, well, knowing it was unlocked doesn't really change anything so it's pointless losing my shit over it."

"So, what did happen?"

"I obviously wasn't as drunk as I thought because I remember absolutely everything. It was really dark in that room so we saw only a bed when we went in. I wasn't going to sit on the floor or stand for an hour so I sat on the bed."

"How come it was that dark?"

"Blackout blinds at the window but this morning, light got in and I didn't have a fucking clue where I was to start with."

"Did you fuck him?" Beomsoo guesses that this is where this is heading.

"Yeah… ugh! Yeah."

"How did that happen when you hate each other?”

Jungkook had been expecting this response. “We played a game where we wrote words on our arms and had to guess. It sort of started there.”

“Whose idea was that?”

“Tae’s.”

“Who kissed who first?”

“I did… he was on top of me and… ugh! Fuck my life!”

“I’m struggling a bit here. Tae was already on top of you when you kissed him?”

“Yeah. He needed more room or something, when he was writing a word on my arm and started using my chest instead.”

“What word?”

“I don’t know… I lost track because he did one letter at a time. He was really annoying the fuck out of me by tickling me and I was irritated.”

Beomsoo giggles, “Yeah, so irritated that you fucked him.”

Jungkook drags his face downwards again with his hands. “Yeah… I know! It just happened and I kissed him.”

“And he kissed you back?”

“Yeah… and then there was a moment when I thought he was pushing me away but he wasn’t… well, he was but not because he wanted to stop, evidently.”

“What happened after you fucked him?”

“I woke up this morning and he was getting dressed.”

“What did he say?”

“To forget it and it was a mistake or something like that.”

“Well, at least you know that he’s on the same page as you and you aren’t going to have him pining after you now because THAT would be so awkward.”

Jungkook sighs and looks around the room so he doesn't have any eye contact with his friend. “Oh… yeah… absolutely… it made things easier for me and saved me from saying it.”

“I’m meeting Hobi and Joon in an hour if you wanna come?”

“What’s the plan?”

“Food and a movie. Plus I want the tea from them about last night.”

“Go on then… but we don’t talk about me and Tae. You’re just gonna have to go with whatever I say, okay?”

“Yeah sure. Look, you hate each other and a quick fuck under forfeit circumstances doesn’t change that, so don’t sweat about it. Tae clearly doesn’t want it mentioned again if he said it was a mistake so there’s nothing to worry about… business as usual.”

Jungkook smiles and nods… but he isn’t really sure that he agrees. The movie will be a welcome distraction from the feeling that has settled in his gut… the feeling that says he doesn’t think last night was something to regret at all.

****

The one thing that felt like a thorn in both their sides was the intense practice sessions needed for the end of year show. The actual classroom based work was non-existent now and everything was being put into the show. The staff encouraged every department to get involved with each other and this week, the focus was on the art department. He’d already walked past Tae and his drama crew a few times in the corridor yesterday which was the first time he’d seen him since the party. He’d managed to avoid conversations about the party and brush off any comments about his forfeit but his internal thoughts were a stark contrast to the image portrayed.

“I’m going to the recording studio after this.” Jimin says to Jungkook and Hobi.

“Why?” Hobi asks.

“Because no one will be there… duh!” Jimin explains.

Jungkook looks confused, “Why are you going if no one is going to be there?”

Jimin looks at both his friends, stopping to turn and face them both as they walk towards the art department. “Yoon will be there but no one else will. Have you been getting enough sleep? Are you drinking enough water? You’ve been weird as fuck recently.”

“Is Yoon working on something?” Hobi asks, nudging Jimin to get him to start walking again so they can actually get to the department.

“Yeah… me… hopefully.” Jimin says to Hobi.

Hobi shakes his head and laughs while Jungkook rolls his eyes.

“Isn’t Yoongi gonna be in the art room? Joon and Beomsoo said they would be.” Jungkook adds. He’s ignoring Jimin’s comment because he denies that he’s been any different.

“Everyone has to be there, so yeah.”

Hobi opens the door as they enter the corridor towards the room they have to go to. “I’m meeting Juwon after this so I know he’ll be there.”

“Oh good.” Jungkook mutters.

Jimin laughs, “You’ll have to get used to it. You will be seeing a whole lot more of Tae in the next couple of months both here and away from here.”

Jungkook stops walking, ignoring the student who nearly bumps into him from behind and curses as he walks around the dance student. “What? Why?”

“We have a show to do, first of all. Then there’s the fact that I’m sort of seeing Juwon and… well… Joon might be meeting Jin for lunch on Friday.”

“Why does that mean I have to see Tae?”

Jimin hooks his arm around Jungkook’s arm and pulls him to get him moving again. “Because our two groups are merging, sort of. It’s inevitable that we’ll be spending time together.”

“No, it isn’t inevitable. What is inevitable is that Hobi and Joon will double date at some point if it gets that far. That doesn’t involve me.”

“Let’s not tell him that we are meeting for lunch this week, then.” Hobi winks at Jimin.

“What?” Jungkook says as they enter the art room with both Jimin and Hobi laughing.

The room is more like a hall, it’s huge. There are stained glass windows up high and the room is full of tables, easels, cupboards and it is one of many interjoining rooms that make up the art department. The staff encourage the blending of departments so that each section of students has a healthy respect and knowledge for what the other students actually do. There is a temptation for the drama students to feel an air of self importance because they are the ones front and centre, acting out the script and bringing the story to life. The same could be said for the dance students but on a lesser scale and the university doesn’t think this is healthy because there is so much more that goes into a show.

This week is about focusing on the hard work that the art students put into designing the stage scenes and costumes. There are also the photography students who take the photos and spend days in the dark rooms, developing the pictures as well as editing the digital images too. The art department is heavily involved in such a production and it gives the students from music, drama and dance, the opportunity to see what they do.

While the artists are giving a presentation about one of the backdrops they are working on, Jungkook notices Tae standing across the room. The drama student is whispering to Seokjin and giggling quietly, he’s paying no attention to Jungkook who can’t help the odd glance over at him. The dancer can hear him giggling and it reminds him of the party, the way he giggled in the dark. He’s been unable to get that night out of his mind and he’s even considered that the darkness was to blame for heightening his senses. He sees Tae stroke his finger down Seokjin’s arm and he has to look away completely. It sparks something inside of him that sends his mind into turmoil and he doesn’t know what he’s going to do. He remembers how Tae’s fingers felt on his body and he can’t understand why that night has had such an impact on him because he certainly isn’t unfamiliar with a man’s body. Just last month he had a few nights of sex with the newest member of the baseball team and hadn’t expected that to be as decent as it was. Yet, as good as that sex was, he hasn’t really given it too much thought since. He’d made plans with the guy for an encore next week, a casual arrangement that suited them both in between his baseball practice sessions but at this present time, Jungkook can’t think of having anyone else… apart from Tae.

“You are so funny.” Jimin whispers to Jungkook.

“I haven’t done anything so whatever was funny wasn’t meant to be.” the dancer replies.

“I saw you look away… I can’t believe he annoys you that much… or maybe he doesn’t.”

Jungkook stares ahead, “Yeah… well.” Is all he can say because he knows things have changed.

****

“Why Namjoon?” Tae asks Seokjin. They’ve been standing to the side of the room listening to the presentation as the three music students joined the dancers and Namjoon smiles over in their direction as he spots Seokjin.

“Look at him… there’s your answer.”

“I don’t see it.”

“No, you see Jungkook.”

“Definitely do not see him.” Tae says.

“Well, he most definitely sees you. He’s been looking over a lot.” Seokjin wiggles his brows and grins.

“You’re imagining it. I haven’t noticed.”

“How long have you two been here?” Doyun says as he and his brother join Tae and Seokjin.

“Since we were meant to be here. Why are you two so late?” Tae asks the twins.

“He needed to do his hair before we left, like a hundred times.” Doyun replies, rolling his eyes.

“It was not a hundred. Stop exaggerating.” Juwon nudges his brother.

“Are you still having your date with Namjoon on Friday?” Doyun asks Seokjin.

“Yeah… he’s taking me for lunch at that sandwich bar. We have free periods on Friday.”

“Are you gonna be able to get through lunch tomorrow, Tae?” Juwon laughs.

Tae waves a hand at the twin, “I’ve got through the last few years so a couple of lunches isn’t going to make any difference now, is it?”

Seokjin laughs and pats Tae on the back, “That’s the spirit! And then you can continue being ignorant to him staring at you then, too.”

“Fuck off… he wasn’t staring. No wonder we have a name for being dramatic.” Tae rolls his eyes for effect. He doesn’t understand what the big deal is. He has disliked Jungkook for years and got this far, even spent the night with him and still, here he is feeling no different to before the party. He’s under no illusion that the cross words and confrontation will rear its head at some point, it always does.

***

Jungkook smacked himself in the head before leaving his room this morning. He would have loved to say that it wasn’t a deliberate act but it was so he didn’t have a leg to stand on. The attack on his own head was a consequence of the dream he’d had last night and how he was now four days post party and still couldn’t get Tae out of his head. He didn’t want to be enemies anymore, he couldn’t accept that he wouldn’t get to kiss him again and he certainly couldn’t do that if they were at each other’s throats all the time. There was a distinct possibility that he’s made it into more than it was and that perhaps alcohol had played a part in making him think it was better than it was but he doesn’t really believe that. The dream last night magnified everything, it brought back the memories from the party with crystal clear clarity and the biggest problem was that it felt so right.

On his way to meet everyone for lunch, he’d felt lost because he didn't know what to do. He’s never been in this situation before. He’s spent so long convincing himself and others that he hates the drama student that he doesn’t know how to alter it. If he had a genuine cast iron reason for the hatred it would be easy but if that were the case he probably wouldn’t have been in the situation he was in at the party. Jungkook racked his brains last night trying to remember what made him dislike Tae in the first place and he came up with nothing, he simply has no idea. It is true that he dislikes drama students and their overly dramatic ways but he’s mature enough to be able to ignore that and it isn’t like he hasn’t got used to actors over the years and the endless productions they’ve done together. The one thing that he is sure of is that the actor doesn’t like him. That is a problem because he doesn’t know how he can change that if sleeping together didn’t have a positive effect. The other problem is that his friends and Tae’s friends also think they dislike each other so he’s trapped in a world where everyone thinks he hates him… which he did… perhaps… maybe… at some point.

The awkwardness is felt from all angles when Jungkook arrives at the cafeteria with Hobi, Beomsoo, Namjoon, Jimin and Yoongi. The drama gang are already there, laughing loudly about something, seated on the biggest circular table in the middle of the room. Even when he hears Tae’s over emphasised laugh and sees the overzealous hand gestures it doesn't provoke the same reactions that it did pre-party so now he considers the possibility that Tae is a witch or warlock and has cast a spell on him… failing that, he's just going to have to swallow his pride, accept that he doesn't hate the guy and try to make Tae like him. The one thing Jungkook doesn't do often, if ever, is lose and he's not letting some drama student be the cause of him losing.

"Tae looks good today, huh?" Hobi says to Jungkook, voice low and drowned out by the chatter in the cafeteria.

"Shouldn't you be focusing on Juwon?" The dancer retorts.

"I am but it doesn't mean that I can't appreciate a man who looks good in pink." Hobi nudges Jimin and throws him a look as Jungkook walks ahead slightly.

Jimin giggles behind his hand, "Do you have a deathwish?" He loudly whispers to Hobi who pauses, allowing Jungkook and Namjoon to get a bit further ahead.

"You said yourself that he's been weird as fuck… since the party! Since he did that forfeit… come on! Tell me that you think I'm going mad and the two aren't connected?" Hobi says.

Jimin nods at Yoongi who has turned around and realised that his boyfriend is lagging behind. "Look, we'll talk about this later but yeah, he's been totally weird and no one saw him after they went into that room… so?"

Jimin nudges Hobi and they look ahead and smile because the others have reached the table and are wondering why they're so far behind.

"And his reaction when I said Tae looks good was green eyed Jeon." Hobi quickly gets past his lips as he plasters on a smile and greets the students around the table.

"What was that about?" Yoongi asks Jimin as the petite dancer sits on his lap.

"Tell you later." Jimin whispers in his ear as he pecks him on the cheek.

Jungkook sits down on the chair between Yoongi (who's got Jimin on his lap) and Namjoon who is making eyes at Jin to his right. Hobi had walked around to the left where Juwon had pulled a chair out for him and Beomsoo was sitting next to Jin. Doyun was at another table talking to his girlfriend and Tae was sitting next to Juwon, almost opposite Jungkook, grinning at something on his phone.

"Is everyone ordering their own thing or is someone going up and getting it all?" Beomsoo asks, looking around the table.

Tae looks over as he puts his phone in the breast pocket of his flamingo pink jacket, "I'll go… I know what you lot want."

"As Tae stands, Jungkook has a mini battle in his mind but decides that if he views this as a challenge, he may as well get the bit between his teeth and go for it.

"Soya milk?" Jungkook asks Namjoon, who has managed to tear his eyes away from Seokjin, to look surprised.

"You're going to get the lunch?" Beomsoo chips in.

"Do you want lunch or not?" Jungkook asks.

After he's got confirmation from Namjoon about the soya milk and Jimin finishes messing around with his choices, Jungkook joins the queue behind Tae. He actually doesn't know what to say so he just stands behind him and runs through the lunch order in his head. Ironically, he hasn't been this close to the drama student before… not in daylight, anyway. He gets a waft of a floral scent, like a meadow on a summer's day but he isn't sure whether it's Tae's shampoo or a moisturiser, maybe? He's never noticed how golden his hair is or how it's frizzy in places and curly elsewhere. A few people join the queue and as they round the corner to where they can pick up trays and collect food items like sandwiches, things get a little cosy. There are food items on one side and drinks machines on the other. The queue comes to a halt as the people at the front order hot food and Jungkook is shoved into Tae’s back by the idiots behind him who weren't paying attention.

"Do you mind?" Tae hisses.

"Don't start on me, it wasn't my fault." Jungkook replies.

"Do you have to stand so close?" Tae asks, stepping half a step forwards.

Jungkook moves closer, close enough so that he can speak quietly in Tae's ear without anyone hearing. "Is it not dark enough for you?"

“Fuck you.” the actor snarls.

“I didn’t think you wanted to talk about it.”

“I don’t!”

“I’m still open to discussing it. Let me know when you’re ready.”

“I will but don’t hold your breath.”

“What is your problem?”

Tae turns his head slightly to talk to the man behind him, “You are.”

“Funny because there wasn’t a problem when you needed to be fucked.” and maybe there is a small part of Jungkook that feels used after the sex they had at the party but he wouldn’t outwardly admit that.

There is so much that Tae wants to say but he can’t say anything because the memories from that room are so blurred. He keeps having flashbacks and yet he doesn’t know what is real or what his mind is conjuring up. After seeing Jungkook yesterday in the art room, his mind decided to provide him with the image of him from the morning after the party… naked and… SIGH.

The queue starts to move and the actor turns his attention to collecting the items his friends wanted for lunch and placing them on his tray. He’s relieved when the queue slows down again as he pays, Jungkook held up because Namjoon wanted soya milk.

“Well, that’s a first.” Juwon says as Tae takes a seat and puts the tray on the table before he drops it because it’s full.

“It absolutely is a first.” Doyun adds.

Tae looks at the twins, “What are you two talking about? I’ve got you lunch before.”

“I think they mean, it’s a first that you and Jungkook have occupied the same space without drama.” Seokjin offers.

“It isn’t the first time.” Tae says before helping himself to the items on the tray that he got for himself.

“Tae is right, there wasn’t any drama when they were locked in the bedroom on Saturday night.” Jimin says with a grin.

“Or not locked in.” Namjoon says.

“Do you lot mind?” Tae asks the table.

“Mind? Mind what?” Doyun asks.

“Do we mind stating facts?” Hobi says.

“Let me know when the facts start.” Tae looks at Hobi briefly then concentrates on opening the wrapper to the sandwich he thought he wanted but now he’d just like to leave.

“Fact - you didn’t leave that room after an hour.” Namjoon states.

The guys around the table start to giggle and Tae would very much like to leave the cafeteria. He doesn’t know what Jungkook has told his friends but he is aware that there is a chance that they know everything. He actually wouldn’t be surprised if the dancer had spilled everything, every little detail but then he also reminds himself that he was under the impression that Jungkook had been drinking too so he doesn’t know what he remembers aside from waking up together. There is a possibility that the dancer wants to talk to him about that night to clarify what happened because maybe he doesn’t remember a lot either but Tae doesn’t know because he doesn’t want to talk to him about it.

“Why haven’t we moved on from this? It was days ago… get over it… I have.” Tae says nonchalantly.

There are looks thrown to each other around the table and some pursed lips as they try not to smile or laugh. It’s Hobi who speaks just as he sees Jungkook paying, “Maybe it’s not so easy for some.”

Silence descends on the table with Hobi’s words and the drama group starts eating and drinking as Jungkook arrives. He looks at his friends and can’t be sure but feels like there’s an atmosphere. As his friends grab the items from the tray he pulls his phone from his pocket and starts flicking through social media because right now, he doesn’t want to be in the presence of Tae who is irritating him for a completely different reason now.

***

Lunch the next day goes pretty much the same way and so does the day after that. It only seems to be Jungkook and Taehyung who don’t want to be at the lunches because everyone else appears to have a great time and bonds are clearly being formed. At lunch yesterday, Jungkook attempted to join in a conversation with Tae but soon gave up when he was ignored and decided that he wouldn’t be attending any more gatherings because it wasn’t worth the hassle. Last night he thought about his options to get through to the actor but he didn’t know what to do when the stupid man wouldn’t even talk to him and when they did have the opportunity, he wound him up and it ended up in a bickering conversation like the one in the queue. He doesn’t want to quit and he doesn’t want to give up. He doesn’t even know why he’s so fucking bothered by Taehyung… but he is and he really wants to touch him again. He’s given guys blow jobs before but there was something about the way Tae’s heavy breaths sounded and how his cock pulsed against his tongue. Jungkook believes that it wasn’t just the alcohol that was intoxicating but how to get through to the actor?

One thing he was sure of is that he couldn’t do lunch today. It was starting to piss him off more than he thought it would and he is in danger of starting to genuinely hate Taehyung if he ignores him again.

“Cafeteria is this way.” Hobi says to Jungkook.

“Not going. I’m going to get some practice in. I could do with focusing on the choreo.” He’d been hoping to slink off after their final morning in the art department but Hobi had caught him.

“You mean you’re avoiding Tae?”

“And if I am?” Jungkook says while putting his arms through his tracksuit jacket.

Hobi walks with him, he knows everyone else is meeting for lunch but wants to talk to Jungkook. “No denial… what’s happened?”

“Nothing has happened. I just need a break from the guy." He shrugs.

"I've not seen you go out of your way to avoid someone you've slept with, before." He says it as casually as possible, looking straight ahead as he walks. He appreciates that it’s a bold move but he’s had his suspicions about what happened in that room at the party.

"No one has been as fucking annoying."

"I knew it!"

"There's no point hiding it."

"So what's the problem? You've finally realised that you like him?"

"Something like that… I can't get the guy out of my mind but he winds me up."

"You've spent years pretending to hate each other."

"Yeah but…" Jungkook chokes a little laugh, "... I actually think he really hates me." It's strange to say it out loud and it is funny, almost like karma has bitten him on the arse.

"What has he said about the sex?"

"Nothing."

"What? What about afterwards?"

"Let's talk about this another time. They're gonna keep calling until you answer. Juwon probably wants you there." Jungkook says, pointing to Hobi's pocket where his phone is vibrating loudly.

"You don't wanna come?"

"I'm gonna get some practice in. I brought lunch with me."

Hobi stops walking, "Okay. Want me to tell them where you are?"

"Tell them you haven't seen me." Jungkook says, waving and continuing his journey to the huge auditorium.

He'd thought about going to the studio but with the show coming up, he thought that getting acquainted with the stage would be more beneficial and it was definitely less likely that his friends would look for him there. He goes in through the side door and drops off his things, removing his jacket and t-shirt before slipping on the vest he'd brought with him. He prefers to practice in bare feet but can’t really do that here because too many people walk through and onto the stage so he keeps his pumps on. He likes spending time in one of the studios here, the floors are always pristine and it always feels like his own little bubble once the door is closed and the music is playing. This is what he does when he needs to think or not think. This is his way of ridding his body and mind of negative energy and filling his soul with something he loves.

When he walks out from backstage, he hears a voice and immediately mutters for fuck sake! under his breath. He sees Taehyung standing to the side of the stage facing the rows of seats, script in hand as he delivers his lines. Jungkook can’t believe it, if only he’d gone to the studio instead of having the bright idea to come here! He decides to stay because Tae is at the far end of the stage and he can practice on a different part, even if he walks through his positioning, it won’t interfere with the actor. He was sure that Tae would’ve been with the others but maybe he’s avoiding him too?

Taehyung hears footsteps and turns around, he literally can’t believe it when he sees Jungkook who looks like he’s here to practice. He’d had enough grief from his friends when he said he didn’t fancy lunch today and would rather get some practice in and now the guy he’s been avoiding is here too. It would be laughable, the irony that he only ever saw him for two minutes at a time before now. They've had to work on productions and breathe the same air before now but suddenly he can't get away from him and everything seems to be working against him to push them together. The show is one thing, then there's the whole graduation thing where there are more events at university that include them both. Then there are the parties, the social events and the fact that two of his own friends are hooking up with two of Jungkook’s friends. He is convinced that the universe is conspiring against him because suddenly, Jeon Jungkook is everywhere and he can't escape him, even when he tries. He had a faceless dream last night, the kind of dream where you just know who the person is. Unfortunately it was Jungkook he was riding and when the images in his mind felt so familiar, he woke up unsure as to whether it was a dream or a flashback to the night at the party.

In a conversation with Seokjin last night, Tae had to admit that the dancer has been acting differently towards him. He's less volatile and scowls a whole lot less than before. Tae always used to enjoy raising his voice a little louder and being slightly more extra with his mannerisms, watching for Jungkook’s reaction which was always an eye roll and an expression that told him it was worth the extra effort. It was a novelty, a silent game he played with himself because he enjoyed the reactions he could get from the man labelled as his enemy. He’d always chosen to ignore the comments from his friends who said that he wouldn’t have such an effect on Jungkook if they genuinely hated each other because it was easier to dislike the man once he’d decided that’s what it was. In the early days, there was always a healthy antagonism between dancers and actors born from the desire to be the centre of attention. Over the years, he learned to work alongside the dancers but Jungkook’s reactions to him made it fun, then everyone presumed he hated him and it went from there. Tae isn’t stupid, he’s well aware that he genuinely mustn’t feel hatred towards the dancer because no amount of alcohol would’ve enabled him to have sex with him otherwise… he just doesn’t know what he thinks or feels anymore. The waters are so muddy and the forfeit at the party has just exasperated everything and the worst part is that he can’t remember enough to give himself any sort of clarity at all.

He doesn’t know if Jungkook has seen him as he turns his body just a little bit so he can see him without straining his eyes to look to the left. He keeps his head down as if he is reading the script but watches the way Jungkook’s body moves as he runs through the choreography that Tae recognises from the third scene. The little voice in his head asks the question, ‘why is he here and not in the cafeteria?’ Tae acknowledges that’s where he thought the dancer would be which is why he himself is here. He wonders if Jungkook is here because he’s avoiding him too but he can’t think of a reason why he would be avoiding him. He thinks of the biting remarks when they were in the queue, Jungkook’s reference to the darkness led him to believe that he definitely has more of a memory of what happened than he does but he still can’t be sure what he does and doesn’t remember. Another thing that hasn’t been shaken from his mind is Hobi’s comment about some people not finding it that easy to move on (or however it was that he phrased it), was he talking about Jungkook? Too many questions, too few answers and far too many grey areas. Life was far much easier when he hated Jungkook and Jungkook hated him, when it was black and white and everyone knew where they stood.

Tae has been standing in silence, pretending to read but watching Jungkook as he realises the dancer has stopped and is wiping his face with a small towel. He averts his eyes and tries to concentrate on the words in front of him but that last body roll was very distracting.

“Do you need a hand?”

The actor looks in the direction of Jungkook’s voice, his expression as blank as he can muster. “Are you talking to me?”

Jungkook inhales a breath and keeps going until his lungs feel like they could burst before releasing it slowly. “Yes I’m talking to you.” He doesn’t understand why the guy has to be such a prick all the fucking time.

“And what exactly does it look like I need a hand with?” He eyes the sweaty man whose ebony bangs are sticking to his face, whose white vest is almost transparent in places and whose black sweater pants hang from his hips.

“I was asking if you wanted a hand with the script… unless you’re gonna do both parts yourself then that’s fine. I would apologise for trying to be fucking helpful but I won’t.” He wipes the back of his neck and looks at the actor who is standing there like he thinks his shit doesn’t stink. His loose flowy trousers, shirt and tie, making him look like he thinks he’s better than anyone else.

Taehyung had planned on skipping the next part because he thought he would be alone. He could practice with Seokjin later on this afternoon over pizza and beer but it would be good if he could run through it now. For whatever reason, they are both here, both avoiding the cafeteria so he may as well accept the offer, albeit reluctantly of course. “I’ve only got this copy.”

“Well, I’ll have to read it from that one then… would you like me to switch off all the lights so you can bear to be close to me?” He needs to drop the attitude, he knows he does but he finds the actor so bloody infuriating that his mouth operates before his brain engages.

Taehyung looks at him with an apathetic expression, “Maybe it is you who wants it to be dark because you keep mentioning it.”

Jungkook walks across the stage and stands near Tae. “If that’s the only way to make you likeable then I’d make it dark.”

“So you liked me in the dark?”

“I fucked you didn’t I?” It wasn’t the exact response he would have gone with but he doesn’t seem to get a lot of time to think around Taehyung.

“Did you? I wouldn’t know... “ Tae holds up the script with the dancer standing just to the side of him, “... are you helping me with this or not?”

Jungkook’s brain short circuits, the thumping of his heart is all he can hear as his pulse thrums in his temples. Does Taehyung really not remember? In one sense it explains a lot, especially his reluctance to discuss that night and his eagerness to leave that morning but he thought that was all because he hated him. He doesn’t know what to say, not to mention the fact that he isn’t sure if Tae is telling the truth or if he’s just biting back.

“Go on then… you have the first line.” He says. He needs time to think.

“You do realise that white flowers are a morbid, not loving representation?” The actor says, reading from the paper he is holding with his right hand.

Jungkook holds the script with his left hand and places his thumb near the line he is about to read so he knows where he is. “I gift you white flowers as a sign of purity. I see not how this can be a morbid sign.”

Tae looks at Jungkook, eyes darting to and from the script as he speaks, “White flowers adorn the tops of coffins and memorials, a sure sign of sorrow.”

“That is not how they are intended. I gift them to represent my love in its purest form and to acknowledge your virginal status. I urge you to look past any negativity associated with the colour.”

“How can I ignore such a bleak reference?”

Jungkook reads the next line then turns to face Tae a bit more so that he can reach up and hold his face but before he can deliver his line, the actor speaks.

“What are you doing?”

“It says right there that actor two gently holds the side of actor one’s face, so that is what I’m doing.”

“You aren’t actor two… or an actor.”

“Do you want me to do this or not? I’ve got my lunch in my bag so I can just go over there and eat it and leave you to it. You’ve made it quite clear that you don’t want to talk to me but I was trying to help. I didn’t ever proclaim to be an actor, that is your job.”

As Jungkook removes his hand and takes a step back, Tae suddenly feels bad. The grey areas are causing absolute mayhem in his mind and he feels like he’s lost in a maze.

“Okay… carry on… sorry.”

“Are you sure you want me to continue?”

“I said so, didn’t I?”

Jungkook takes a deep breath, takes a step closer and reaches up again with his hand, placing it gently on Tae’s jaw. “I urge you to ignore the bleak reference, for my intentions were good. If white is viewed with such disdain, I will endeavour to gift another colour in future.”

The warmth of Jungkook’s palm seeps through his pores and as he blinks his body and mind are injected with a feeling that is familiar yet unfamiliar and he can only assume that it is a memory from the party. “But what colour would you choose? Beware, for your answer could alter my desire to relinquish my virginity.”

The dancer swipes his thumb backwards and forwards gently over Tae’s skin, it isn’t in the script but he didn’t think he’d get the opportunity to touch the actor again. His mind has been consumed with the need to feel him again, to be able to see clearly the body under his fingers. Jungkook hasn’t been too sure how much of a role alcohol has played in the memories from that night. The memories have been clear but he considered the possibility that intoxication may have played a part in the way he felt afterwards. Yet now, in this forced, purely fake situation, he felt an echo of those feelings and he knew that what he’d been experiencing couldn’t be blamed on the drink.

“I would choose a shade of purple, violet or lavender perhaps. The colour is warm and comforting.”

Taehyung looks at the script but he knows what’s coming even if Jungkook doesn’t. He inhales a breath and reminds himself that he is in character and that’s all this is. “Purple is a noble choice. It is the last colour of the rainbow though, should it not be viewed as the least important?”

Jungkook removes his hand and puts it by his side, reading the next line before looking into Tae’s eyes. “Quite the contrary. I would argue that purple is the foundation of the rainbow, the one that supports all the other colours, therefore the one that has the most trust.”

“You are indeed winning me over, my love but I feel that your mouth should also convince me in a silent plea.”

The dancer reads on, confusion takes over because he didn’t expect any of this but surely Taehyung knew what was coming? And if Tae knew what was coming, why agree to let him help whilst knowing that this would happen?

“You want me to kiss you?” Jungkook asks.

“That’s not what the script says.” He is a little taken aback that Jungkook is hesitating. The guy usually has some arrogance so the sudden apprehension is unusual.

“Let me rephrase, since you are incapable of being normal… do you want me to follow this script?”

“For the purpose of this practice, yes and for any other reason, it’s irrelevant because we wouldn’t be in this situation.”

“That’s not strictly true now, is it?”

“Meaning?”

“We were very much in this situation at the party, just horizontal.”

“We were? I don’t remember.”

Jungkook tilts his head and looks at the actor with an element of disbelief. “Well, I remember everything.”

“I’m pleased for you and now that we have that established, are you going to finish this scene or not?”

Jungkook takes a look at the script again, then reads, “Allow me to state my case.” He moves in and it’s the strangest feeling being able to see the actor so clearly when he kisses him this time.

Their lips touch, it’s cautious as Jungkook closes his eyes and tilts his head. The tip of his tongue is tentatively pushed past his teeth and swipes along the actor’s bottom lip. He is amazed when Tae’s tongue greets it and the kiss becomes much more than he expected.

Tae’s mind clouds when his natural instinct is to kiss the dancer back. He feels so much familiarity and with that comes a whole host of flashbacks from that night at the party. As he gets a taste of Jungkook, he gets the image of how he looked from above, the messy kisses, the toned body under his fingers and the force of the thrusts into his ass. The quiet whimper that passes his lips into the dancer’s mouth is partly from their current kiss and partly from the memories being unlocked by his subconscious with every movement of their tongues.

Taehyung breaks the kiss and pulls away, his chest inflating and deflating as he gets a hold of himself. He rubs at his forehead with his thumb and two fingers, still holding the script in his other hand. He must stay in character because that is all this is. He ignores the look on Jungkook’s face and reads the next line, “You state your case very well, my love. I still believe you to be the one most deserving of taking my virginity.” That is the last line of that scene and he folds up the piece of paper.

The dancer blinks quickly, his mind is like a cryptic puzzle, unsolvable as he tries to ground himself. He wants Taehyung, that much he knows, especially now that he realises his memory serves him correctly on the events of that night and the feelings evoked. “Can we talk now?”

“About what?”

Jungkook looks at the man who has one side of his bottom lip pulled between his own teeth, whose golden hair is frizzy and curly in equal measure. “Are you serious?”

“There’s nothing to talk about, Jungkook.”

“You kissed me back just now?”

Taehyung unfolds the script, “Because it says that we kiss. Actor one and Actor two, kiss. On show night, Actor one will kiss Actor two… do you think he will want to talk about it?”

“Have it your way, Tae…” Jungkook walks towards the actor, “... I expected a bit more maturity from you.”

Tae is pissed off now, “Fuck off, Mr high and mighty. You can just add ‘immature’ to the other reasons that you hate me.”

As Tae turns to walk away, Jungkook grabs his arm with precise reflexes. “That’s the most ironic, hilarious thing about all of this!”

The actor shrugs his arms out of Jungkook’s grasp, “What is?”

“I don’t hate you, Taehyung…” it’s Jungkook who turns to walk away this time, “... at least I am mature enough to admit it.” He says before walking across the stage, grabbing his bag and slamming the door closed as he leaves.

The following week, the departments involved in the production are encouraged to look at the lighting, music production and costumes. There isn’t a great deal that they can see but each team gives a small presentation on what their role is in the whole thing. It’s a great opportunity for the students to learn about what others do to achieve the final product and this was certainly true when they’d learned all about the different lighting styles and patterns. Jimin had bored everyone for at least two days about the lighting sequences and the decisions on spotlighting. Yoongi thought his enthusiasm was cute, everyone else simply let him get on with it. When it came to the costumes, the twins were interested in the choice of fabric and colour schemes but no one else really gave a shit but they went on about it anyway. The music production side of things was something they all had to at least appear interested in because no one wanted to annoy Yoongi, Namjoon or Beomsoo. That was another occasion when Jimin and now Seokjin got all gushy and carried away which made it all so much worse.

Taehyung had gone home to his family for the weekend for his sister’s birthday and returned at the start of the week with tales of his home and mostly how annoying his sister’s boyfriend was. He was glad for the break because he’d been experiencing some mental turmoil since the confrontation with Jungkook in the auditorium last week. His first task was to admit that he was bothered and he’d only admitted that to his sister after she’d bullied him into it (or that was his excuse at least). He’d had several encounters with the dancer this week, unavoidable when they were in the same room or having lunch together. Instead of arguing or biting back at each other, they were barely speaking now and he was yet to decide if that was better or worse.

"Ugh! I cannot take another lunch in silence with those two!" Yoongi says as the two groups sit down.

"Looks like they're both avoiding lunch again." Doyun adds.

"Has anyone spoken to them?" Namjoon asks the table.

"Jungkook didn't say anything last week when I asked him." Jimin says.

"He told me to drop it when I saw him at the weekend. Something hasn't been right since they avoided that lunch the other week." Hobi says, shifting in his seat so he can sit closer to Juwon.

"They kissed." Eight pairs of eyes look straight at Seokjin when he speaks.

"What? When?" Namjoon turns to face the man he's very happily dating.

"Yeah! When? You kept that quiet." Juwon says to his friend.

"Calm down. I went to his place last night and bullied it out of him. I was planning on filling you in today."

Beomsoo leans on his elbows on the table, "I don't know what it's been like from your Taehyung vantage point but JK has been weird since they fucked at the party."

"He won't even talk about it." Doyun says.

"Because he says he doesn't remember what happened." Seokjin adds.

"Yeah, well, JK remembers everything." Beomsoo says.

"And Tae won't talk to him or us about it." Juwon says.

Namjoon looks at Seokjin, "What did Tae say last night then?"

"When they didn't turn up for lunch that day before Tae went home, they kissed. He was running through his lines and Jungkook showed up to practice the choreo."

Hobi speaks up, "Kook went to the auditorium that day."

Seokjin nods, "Yep! Tae was there too."

"But how'd they go from avoiding each other to kissing?" Jimin asks.

"Jungkook offered to help him with the script and it was the scene where the two characters kiss."

Yoongi looks confused "Okay… so they act out that part of the script and kiss… what's with all this stupidity since then?"

Jimin pressed his lips to Yoongi's briefly, "I do love you… I think the point is that it wasn't just an act."

"Jungkook asked Tae to talk about it after the kiss but he said that he wouldn't. They sort of had a bit of a fight and he stormed out." Seokjin says while shrugging his shoulders.

"Did Tae say why he won't talk to JK about it?" Namjoon asks.

"Because he was just acting and there wasn't anything to talk about."

“So if it’s like that, why be such a dick about it now?” Doyun asks.

“I think we all know the answer to that." Seokjin says, looking around the table.

"Do you think that part of the problem is that they've spent so long hating each other that now they feel stupid?" Jimin suggests.

Beomsoo nods in agreement, "Definitely and maybe they think that we will take the piss?"

Doyun chips in too, "And the fact that everyone on campus thinks they hate each other so they've got a sort of reputation for it."

"I say that we lock them in a room until they stop being idiots." Yoongi says.

"I agree with that! But let's actually lock the door this time." Hobi adds.

"But how do we get them in the same place at the same time?" Jimin asks.

"And in a place that we can shut them in without someone raising the poxy alarm." Namjoon says, sitting back in his chair.

"You do know that this could fail miserably?" Beomsoo chips in.

Hobi leans forward, "Oh yeah! They could kill each other and us but what else can we do? I'm not spending the last few months of our final year like this."

"I think we should take a vote on it." Jimin suggests.

"Who agrees to this? Locking the two idiots in a room and standing guard until they sort it out?" Juwon asks the group.

"I'm in! I have several ideas for rooms. There's no way we are getting them to one of our dorms, not if they're avoiding the cafeteria at lunch. It has to be somewhere on campus." Doyun adds.

"I'm in. I agree. We aren't getting them to a dorm so it has to be somewhere on campus and this weekend so there aren't many people about." Namjoon says.

"The sooner the better, we are fully on board." Yoongi speaks for both him and Jimin.

The others all agree too and plans are discussed because everyone has had enough. They all decide that this will either make or break the group but they have to try!

****

"I can't believe it's off limits, fucking hell! How can they expect people to practice?" Seokjin says, acting furious after he'd suggested that they go to the auditorium to run through the script.

Taehyung giggles, "I can't believe you're so mad about it… chill out."

Seokjin sighs, "I was all prepared to stand on that stage and give it my all."

"You are so dramatic. There are benches in the dance studio so you can stand on one of those." Tae suggests.

"And there are walls of mirrors so I can see how fabulous I look!" Seokjin grins and nudges his friend with his shoulder.

"See? There's always a silver lining. At least the studio will be quiet and there's no danger of anyone disturbing us." Tae says.

"I should've realised the auditorium would be off limits. Yoongi said something about lighting and music being tested out but I didn't think they'd close it."

Tae links arms with his friend, "Don't worry about it. Campus is quiet and we've got plenty of room in the studio. I keep missing a line and it's fucking me off so I'm pleased you suggested this."

"What are friends for?" Seokjin says with a sinking feeling in his stomach and his heart hammering in his chest.

As the duo get to one of the dance studios, Seokjin prays that the others have managed to get Jungkook there. They'd gone over so many scenarios and Beomsoo had spoken to a few of his contacts who managed to get an official sign for the auditorium door. They knew that if that was out of bounds, the next place to suggest would be the dance studio because the drama rooms were being used for all the show stuff right now. He was pleased that Taehyung was in a good mood today, more chipper than usual because that could change dramatically so he wanted to remember his friend when he was happy. He did feel bad, they all did, opting to go behind their backs but they needed them to know that the current situation had to stop, one way or another.

Tae was giggling at something Seokjin had said when he opened the door and walked straight into the huge room. The actor walked in first, chatting to Seokjin, completely oblivious to everything. The room was so bright and airy, he'd been in there a thousand times before and then he saw Jungkook who was standing by the wall to the left. The dancer looked surprised to see him so Tae worked out quickly that he wasn't who he'd been expecting. He turns immediately to walk back towards the door where Seokjin was standing, "This room is taken."

"I know… sorry, Tae." The other actor says as he quickly closes the door just as his friend gets to it. His hand twists the key in the lock so fast that he worries that he hasn't done it properly.

"What?? Jin! What the fuck are you doing?" Tae calls from inside the room.

"You need to talk to Jungkook." Seokjin says back, through the door.

"You set me up! Don't be stupid, let me out!"

Seokjin presses his hand to the door, "Not until you sort it out."

"I'm meeting the twins in a few hours! I'm just gonna phone them and they'll come and let me out."

"We'll be waiting for you." Juwon says from behind Seokjin.

"You've got to be fucking kidding?" Tae fumes.

Inside the studio, Jungkook doesn't know what to make of any of it. He crosses the room and goes to where Tae is standing at the locked door. "I suppose, you're there too, Hobes?" He asks the door. He was due to meet Hobi at the studio, which is who he thought he was waiting for.

"Yeah." Came the reply.

Jungkook sighs deeply and nods his head, "Thought so… I'm also going to presume that the rest of the gang are there, too?"

A resounding buzz of "Yeah" and "Yep" comes from the other side of the door and all Jungkook can do is laugh as he turns away from the door and walks over to one of the benches where he sits and rests his back against the wall.

Tae looks at the dancer who is sitting with his legs outstretched, hands in the pockets of his knee length shorts, leaning back against the white painted wall. "Aren't you going to tell them to let us out?" He scowls.

"What's the point? They've all got together and planned this so they aren't going to unlock the door because I ask them to." Jungkook is so done with this whole situation. He's avoided the actor as much as he can since their kiss in the auditorium and now his friends have forced him to be in the same room as him. He's tried offering to talk, he's tried avoidance, he's tried being civil, he's been hostile… so now he can't be bothered.

"You aren't even going to try?"

"No." The dancer says, folding his arms and crossing them over his chest.

"What is your problem?"

"I would suggest that you are the one with the problem right now."

"You're so arrogant."

Jungkook takes his ear buds from their case and puts them in his ears. He taps his left ear bud once and music starts playing. "You'll have to let me know when you want to talk." He rests his head back against the wall and closes his eyes.

Taehyung stares, open mouthed at Jungkook, unable to believe what he's seeing. He's actually really quite annoyed to the point he could cry out of sheer frustration. Life was so much fucking easier a couple of months ago when he didn't have all this crap to deal with. It was fine before Juwon had a thing for Hobi and they played that stupid spin the bottle game. Even if he'd liked the dancer before the party, he could still have carried on as he was but since Jungkook started being civil and making an effort, everything seemed so much more difficult. Ignorance to his own thoughts was bliss until that damn party and until Jungkook started being nice.

Right now, he wants to get out of this room and he'd like to plot the death of his friends. "What is there to talk about?" He says out loud but Jungkook has zero reaction because he actually can't hear him and he wasn't messing around when he put his buds in.

"Do you think that you were that good that there's something to discuss?" He's irked with himself because he can't remember clearly and what he does remember just goes against the idea that he doesn't like the dancer.

He raises his voice and feels his body temperature rising. When he dressed this morning, he wasn't prepared to get hot and bothered. He probably wouldn't have chosen the floral satin shirt with silver buttons that could stain if he starts sweating. The brightside is that the shirt is quite loose and flowy, similarly to the trousers he's got on but he still doesn't feel dressed for an argument. "What is there to talk about?"

Jungkook opens his eyes, he's only got his music on low so the sound of a voice, albeit unclear, is still heard. He stares at Taehyung who is walking towards him with his hands on his hips and a less than happy expression on his face.

"Did you hear me? I asked you the same question twice!" The actor says, stopping a couple of paces away from the man who reaches up and removes one of his buds.

"I heard you but it was unclear. What was your question?"

"I want to know what there is to talk about?"

"The topics of discussion are quite extensive, Taehyung but we could start with how two people that dislike each other, ended up fucking." He keeps his voice at a normal level, even though he fully expects to have to shout because the man is infuriating.

"That's easy… we were drunk… it happened… besides you said you didn't hate me… next?"

"No I don't hate you, I meant it."

"Okay but what is it that you want to talk about?"

"Do you hate me? Because if you genuinely hate me then there's no point in any of this." He stands up, he removes his other bud and puts it in the case, placing it on the bench. He takes a step towards Tae who is just blinking intermittently at him. The silence gives him his cue and he decides that he may as well just go for it because he hasn't got anywhere so far. He takes another step closer and reaches up with his hand to hold the side of the actor’s face as he had done in the auditorium. He is convinced that Taehyung would flinch or pull away but he doesn't, he remains still. "I don't hate you… I want you to want me the same way that I want you."

Tae can feel his heart beating fast as he looks into the big doe eyes of the man who has invaded his dreams since that night at the party and possibly made an appearance in his dreams before that but he won't ever admit that to anyone, even himself. "I don't hate you… I can't remember much."

Jungkook gently strokes Tae's cheek with his thumb, "I remember everything… how you felt, how you tasted… I want to relive it but without the darkness." He says with the smallest hint of a smile.

It's now that the actor can focus on the way he's feeling… how Jungkook makes him feel. He's been so caught up with projecting the image of someone who dislikes him that he's ignored how his heart flutters and his cheeks heat. "I know that I wanted it at the time or it wouldn't have happened."

"And now?" Jungkook slowly starts closing the gap between their faces but just before their lips touch, Tae moves back and starts walking to the other side of the room.

"Everyone thinks we hate each other… I'm not going to fuck you in daylight just to give you that experience."

Jungkook rolls his eyes, "Newflash… everyone doesn't think that we hate each other or they wouldn't have shut us in this room and a daylight fuck isn't all that I want but whatever makes it easier for you to continue this act."

"Act? When I kissed you in the auditorium, that was acting… sort of."

"Just be fucking honest!! I'm not going to chase you, no matter how much I want you. I'm also not doing this every day until grad. I'd rather just stay completely out of your way."

"I'm pleased I was that memorable but I can't say the same about you."

Jungkook strides towards Taehyung as the actor backs up. When Tae’s back hits the mirrored wall, there's nowhere left to run and the dancer stands close enough to look him straight in the eyes. No words are spoken and when he feels the actor’s hands on his hips he leans in to connect their mouths. With their lips pressed together, he apprehensively pushes his tongue past his teeth and licks at Tae's lower lip. The actor opens his mouth and Jungkook is sure there’s a quiet whimper that accompanies the breath from Tae once their tongues connect.

The dancer angles his head, places his hands either side of Taehyung’s neck and pours everything into the kiss. His thought process is about the possibility that this could be the last time he gets to kiss Taehyung so he has nothing to lose. He holds Tae’s neck so lightly, his thumbs rubbing gently at the skin as he etches every movement to his memory. There’s something about the way their tongues work together to taste each other that has an essence of familiarity and he can’t decide if it’s because they’ve kissed before or if it’s because this is the way it’s always meant to be.

Tae’s subconscious is silenced as he loses himself in the way the dancer’s tongue caresses his own and how their mouths move so perfectly together. A quiet murmur passes Jungkook’s lips and it’s a sound that Taehyung has heard before. The arousal hits him like walking into a room with a roaring fire on a freezing winter’s day. The flashbacks in his mind aren’t images, just feelings and the longer he kisses Jungkook, the more he wants to remember.

Jungkook retracts his tongue but keeps their lips pressed together, lingering before breaking the connection, worried that he’ll have to spend the next few months fighting the urge for more but knowing it’s unrequited. His hands remain on Tae’s neck as he slowly opens his eyes and leans back in quickly to leave one last wet kiss on his lips. His pulse thrums in his temples, his chest flutters with anxiety as he waits for the actor to say something.

“Help me remember.” He whispers into the small space between their faces.

“You mean…?” He needs to be sure.

“Yeah… I want to remember… but in the light.”

“Tae… I can’t just do this once… I don’t want this to be a one off.”

“Okay… neither do I.”

Jungkook leans in again, pressing himself against the actor who grabs him by the waist and pulls him in, licking eagerly into his mouth before he’s pulling away, causing Tae to look confused.

“I’m not fucking you here with that lot outside.” Jungkook says, brushing some curls from Tae’s face with one of his hands.

“So what’s your plan?”

“Come on…” He says, taking him by the hand and leading him to the bench where he picks up his stuff and goes over to a door at the back of the room.

“Where are we going?” Tae is confused. The door at the far side of the room is locked and he thought there was just a single toilet through this door.

“There’s an exit out here that leads out the back into the next studio.”

“But I thought they’d locked us in?”

“Yeah, they did but Hobi texted me as I put my buds in and said he’d unlocked this door.”

Taehyung stops walking abruptly just as they open the door, “What? So we weren’t trapped?”

Jungkook tries his hardest not to laugh as he looks at the angry expression forming on the actor’s face. “No, Hobi told me that he’d given me an escape route in case I needed it.”

“Why didn’t you just leave then?”

The dancer pulls Taehyung into his arms, “Because I didn’t have any desire to leave alone, Taehyung.”

Okay so at this point, the actor swoons and has to accept that he’s going to have to give up the script that says he doesn’t want or like Jungkook. “Lead the way then.”

Jungkook smiles and leads Tae through the door, closing it quietly and rushing through the next studio, through another door to the next one until they get to a door that finally leads them into a corridor. Tae allows Jungkook to pull him along, feet moving quickly but quietly as they go, not wanting to make any unnecessary noise because they didn’t know where their friends were waiting.

Once out of the building, they slow down a little, giggling like a couple of school kids as they keep looking behind them and stopping to kiss when they know they are in the clear. Jungkook lives closer so that’s where they go, his dorm isn’t far and he has a lock on his door which he plans to utilise. They both find it amusing that this will be the first time actually locked into a room that neither of them want to leave and both envisage they may need to lock themselves in on a regular basis once the group start jibing them.

Jungkook’s bedroom is bathed in sunlight as he opens the blinds and switches on the light, much to Taehyung’s amusement. “Overdoing it?” the actor says with a giggle.

The dancer turns towards the man standing in the middle of his room and smiles, “I don’t want to take any chances… I want to see you properly this time.”

Tae feels his usual confidence wane, replaced with a bashfulness as Jungkook walks towards him. He’s always had a certain feeling when he’s been around the dancer, right from the start in the early days but once he’d convinced himself that he disliked him because he thought Jungkook hated him… it was easier to ignore the glaringly obvious things.

When they kiss this time, it’s with purpose, it’s not an act or in the dark, it’s not because they are intoxicated with anything other than each other. This time they haven’t been dared or forced into a room, the door is locked because that’s what they both want and their phones buzzing in their pockets are soon left on the floor as they peel away each piece of clothing. Skin to skin contact brings a strange yet familiar feeling as they hold each other where they stand. The kisses are tentative, years of suppressed feelings that have now been set free, making both students keen to explore whilst they savor the moment.

There’s a red tinge to both of their faces as Taehyung lays in the middle of the bed and watches Jungkook crawl up his body from the foot end. There was a brief phase in his life where he’d thought about what the dancer would be like in bed. It came after they’d been involved in a chuseok celebration and he’d accidentally walked in on a bare chested Jungkook as he changed into a hanbok. Tae had come close to rethinking his whole stance on their enemies status so he could make a move on him but it all came crashing down when he heard that Jungkook had slept with a co actor and that irritated him. Now that bare chest hovers above him, he strokes his hands up Jungkook’s biceps to his shoulders and loses his fingers in his hair as he pulls him down to kiss him.

As the dancer slides his lips down Tae’s neck, he keeps having memories from the night at the party thrust into his mind but this moment already trumps that one now he can see the actor properly. It’s a bit like deja vu as he mouths his way down Tae’s body, the light caramel skin glistening as his lips and tongue leave a wet trail behind. This time he can see the way his stomach muscles flinch when he kisses the right hand side of his tummy. This time, Jungkook can clearly see Tae’s rigid length laying beautifully against his own body, practically begging to be consumed by his mouth. The audible appreciation that comes from the drama student is recognisable and transports Jungkook back to the night in the dark. The sounds fizz through his body and head straight to his groin and now he has the visuals to accompany it.

Taehyung’s body is awash with pleasure as his cock is engulfed by the warmth of Jungkook’s mouth. He’s hit with a feeling that he can only presume is from the party, the memory telling him that he’s definitely experienced this before. The fact that the events of that night are hazy do not matter now as far as he is concerned, he doesn’t need to remember because he has this and he knows this is the first of many. He takes a sharp intake of breath, followed by a lewd whimper as he feels Jungkook press two fingers into his ass. His senses are overloaded as the head of his cock hits the roof of the dancer’s mouth and Jungkook finds his prostate with the tip of his finger. Tae doesn’t know what to do with his hands, balled into fists at his sides, his body squirming as saliva drips down his shaft and the spongy bundle of nerves is massaged inside. His chest moves up and down quickly as the intensity builds and he’s aware that his orgasm is imminent. The closer he gets to his climax, the louder he is and he bucks his hips upwards in an attempt to chase his high.

Jungkook is in sensory overload, the sight of Tae’s body flushed with pleasure, the saltiness of precum coating his taste buds, the warmth enveloping his fingers and the repertoire of sexual sounds dancing through the air is all too much. His own cock is a weight between his legs and this time he wants to do things right, pleased that he actually has lube and a condom. He chokes as Tae bucks up into his mouth and a husky moan is heard when he spills down his throat, each breath laced with a beautiful sound. He swallows everything the actor gives him, eyes slightly watery as he manages to avoid coughing on the dick pulsing against his tongue. He pulls his mouth off and kisses his way up to the man whose face is very pink, his lips parted and his eyes are heavy. Jungkook smiles and takes the relaxed bottom lip between his teeth, pulling on his gently before connecting their mouths in a kiss that is deepened immediately.

Tae’s body feels like it has liquified as endorphins rush through his system. While licking into Jungkook’s mouth, he places his palms on the dancer’s shoulders and pushes him back, breaking the kiss. Jungkook moves back, more deja vu but this time he can see every small reaction, every change in expression and he has an idea of what Taehyung wants as he sits up and gets to his knees.

“I want to ride that cock… again.” the actor says. Riding Jungkook was the only clear memory from the party but initially he hadn’t known if it was real or his imagination. He knew that he hadn’t cum like that while riding someone in a very long time so had to accept that it had actually happened in the way that his mind told him.

“You remember?” Jungkook reaches for the condom and lube, sheathing himself before sitting with his back against the wall.

Tae waits for the dancer to get comfortable before getting himself into position and straddling him. “It was the only part I remembered properly.”

Jungkook holds his member steady as the head of his cock breaches the ring of muscle and is encased by the heat once again. His hands hold Tae’s hips as they had done that night but now he can lose himself in the eyes of the man gliding back and forth in his lap. His movements are hypnotic. Jungkook thought he wanted to relive that night at the party but now he knows he just wants this… he wants Tae… he wants the level of intimacy to keep being raised every time they are together until that night at the party can be erased completely.

The actor kisses Jungkook’s neck, tries to suck on his ear lobe but the cock inside him is making every movement difficult. “Fuck, I could do this all day.” He breathes out which makes Jungkook choke out a little giggle.

“I won’t oppose it.” The dancer says as he runs his hands up Tae’s back and takes hold of his shoulders. He pulls him down as he bucks his pelvis upwards and smirks when the actor’s eyes roll.

“God… fuck… yes.” Tae gurgles. This was definitely one thing he’d tried so hard to forget from that night. He loves this position, likes the control he has but when Jungkook thrusts upwards into him it turns his body to jelly and sends lightning bolts of extreme pleasure coursing through him.

It’s the reaction he gets that spurs him on, gripping Tae’s shoulders firmly and holding him down while using all his strength to drive his cock upwards. A few more seconds and he’s done for, the orgasm crashes through him like a river bursting its banks and he releases his grip while his hips movements still. “Woah… f-uck.” The dancer says as his chest heaves and he rubs Tae’s hips gently with his fingers.

As Tae lifts himself off of Jungkook, his legs feel a little shaky and it’s now that he feels awkward. He is a little ashamed of the way he reacted the morning after the party. He panicked and was convinced that Jungkook would’ve wanted to erase it from memory so got in there first. It was how civil and pleasant Jungkook had been in the days afterwards that made Tae see it differently and he’d started to feel bad.

Jungkook points to some wipes on the side so Tae can clean himself up while he discards the condom and takes some wipes for himself. He goes to the pile of clothes in the middle of the room and hands Tae his, before putting on his underwear. “Do you want a drink before you go?”

“Oh… erm… I didn’t think this would be a fuck and flee but okay… I suppose that’s what I deserve.” Tae says, as he slips into his shirt and starts fastening the buttons.

“What?” Jungkook pulls a t-shirt over his head while walking towards the actor, “...sorry, that’s not what I meant… Tae, I thought you would want to go. I didn’t want to presume, not after the last time.”

“Oh… no, I don’t want to go… and… I’m sorry for my reaction that morning. I couldn’t remember a lot but what we’d done was quite obvious and I naturally thought you would want to forget it.”

“I do now… I think we should both forget it and move on…”

Tae cuts him off, “Move on now we have replaced that night… so you just wanted a clearer memory?”

Jungkook reaches up and holds the side of Tae’s face, “Move on… together? There are too many misunderstandings between us so perhaps I should make myself clear… from now on I would like to take you out, to have lunch together and kiss you in the cafeteria queue. I want to put our preconceived opinions of each other away and get to know each other properly and I definitely don’t want the sex to be a one off.”

Tae appreciates the clarity and can’t help but wonder if they could’ve avoided a lot of arguments if they'd both been honest much earlier. Perhaps that game at the party hadn’t been such a bad idea after all. “I would like that… you do realise that it’s going to be a shock for lots of people?”

“I know but I don’t care. I’m not sure that I actually truly ever hated you, Taehyung.”

The actor leans in for a kiss and when he pulls back he smiles at the man looking at him with an expression that he knows he’s seen before but was too caught up in the charade to acknowledge it properly. “I think that I hated that I wanted you.”

“And now?”

“Now, I just hate how much I want you.” Tae says with a smile.

****

The cafeteria was buzzing, transformed for the after show party with decorations and a huge spread of food for all the students and staff involved in the hugely successful production.

“Yikes… here comes Tae…” Beomsoo says with the expression that matches his words perfectly.

“Yeah… I’m gonna move over here.” Hobi adds, standing from his seat and going over to where Juwon also moves to accommodate his now boyfriend.

Jungkook finds himself sitting alone as his friends move away. They’d all got changed and rushed to the cafeteria to grab the biggest table since their group was now made up of ten of them. Hobi and Juwon became official while they’d been sitting outside the locked studio that day they’d got Tae and Jungkook there. Namjoon and Seokjin were still dating and still avoiding the label of ‘boyfriends’, which the group are still working on. After they realised that they’d been tricked that day and that Tae and Jungkook had sneaked off, they decided that their group had been expanded, whatever happened between the dancer and actor.

“What are you lot talking about?” Jungkook looks into the faces of his friends.

“You gave the male lead your middle finger, JK!” Jimin states.

“He fucked me off. Anyway, my boyfriend is the male lead not Prince dickhead.”

“He fucked you off because you had to watch him kiss your boyfriend… it was jealousy, JK!” Jimin adds.

“Whatever! It wasn’t in the script to put his hand on my boyfriend’s ass… that is my ass and then he smirked at me.”

“Yikes… you might be about to have your ass handed to you, Tae doesn’t look happy.” Yoongi says as Taehyung approaches the table.

There is a moment when Jungkook’s stomach sinks because there is a distinct possibility that everyone is right and that perhaps he had been slightly extreme in his reaction. He hated every second of watching that scene after avoiding all practices because it made his skin crawl and nausea to sit in his stomach. A month after that day they’d been locked in the studio, it was Taehyung who’d lured Jungkook to the auditorium and asked him to help him with his script. Jungkook had become a bit like a lost puppy when they were apart so jumped at any opportunity to help him. The actor had written his own script, the lines that he spoke were created as his way of asking Jungkook to make their relationship official so from that day onwards, it was settled and they left the auditorium as boyfriends. The group still take the credit for the success of their union, six months after the studio incident but now, as they see Tae approach, they don’t want any part in this drama.

Jungkook swallows thickly, he can see his boyfriend getting closer and the group could indeed be correct but he can’t change what he did now. The other male lead was a dick, he’d touched Tae where he shouldn’t then told him what a fantastic kisser he was when they were backstage. Jungkook had been standing with his boyfriend when the guy complimented his kissing skills and had the audacity to smirk and say that it had been a shame they didn’t get to do the scene where he took Tae’s virginity. Jungkook wasn’t going to stand for that, so he said as much… while showing him the middle finger and telling him that if he wanted to remain intact, he should keep such thoughts and his hands to himself.

Yes… maybe that was a bit extreme… maybe he is in trouble and maybe six months is a good length for a relationship before it ends. There is also the chance that Taehyung may genuinely hate him this time.

He braces himself, turns his chair so his back is to the table and he’s facing Tae. As he gets to his feet, his boyfriend arrives and grabs hold of the front of shirt. The group all side-eye each other and pull faces that say this is bad when Tae pushes Jungkook back into the chair.

“Tae… I…”

But he doesn’t finish the sentence because Tae’s mouth is crushed against his and the actor has straddled him in the chair. The kiss is firm and heated as Tae pushes his tongue into his boyfriend’s mouth and wraps his arms around his neck, twisting his fingers in his hair.

No one on the table has a clue what is going on and if they thought it was awkward before Tae practically forced Jungkook down and sat in his lap, then it was most definitely awkward now as people all around them glanced over at the couple devouring each other.

When Tae pulls back he looks at his boyfriend who has a surprised expression, he smiles. “I fucking love you.” He says breathlessly. His body is vibrating with extreme arousal and lack of oxygen after that kiss.

Jungkook is considering whether he has been transported into another universe because he honestly doesn’t know what is going on but his boyfriend has just told him that he loves him for the first time. He thought he was in trouble and now Tae is looking at him like he wants to be bent over the table right here, regardless of the fact that the room is packed with people.

“What?” is the only sensible response he can muster.

“I swear to god that is going to be written on your memorial stone.” Tae says with a big grin.

“Well, I’m confused. This lot were telling me I was in trouble after what I did and you looked fucked off and then you… and then… I need a minute.”

Tae giggles and leans in to kiss him more gently this time, “I’ve never felt so desired and I didn’t know how much I wanted to be claimed by someone in my life… fuck… that was such a turn on.”

“Oh… you aren’t angry?”

“No… the guy is a dick. Anyway… my boyfriend is so hot when he’s jealous… how can I not love that?”

“When you put it like that…” Jungkook smiles back, pulling his boyfriend in for another kiss, “... I think we should ditch this party early because I want to show you how desired and loved you are.”

“Give me ten minutes to thank the staff and I know a back door we can sneak out of… then I want you to show me who I belong to.”

“Please don’t be long.”

Jungkook watches his boyfriend walk away into the crowd of people and turns to the group who are all still in shock but soon start mocking him. The first thing he does is adjust his trousers because the semi in his underwear is uncomfortable.

“You two are made for each other.” Juwon says.

“You’ve actually found someone who gets a hard on because of jealousy.” Hobi laughs.

“Tae once said that you could pirouette down the corridor with a rose in your mouth and it wouldn’t make any difference… all it really took was a forfeit and a bottle.” Seokjin states with a giggle.

“Wait until we tell you all the things that JK said about Tae.” Jimin says with a laugh.

“We definitely want the tea!” Doyun announces.

Jungkook rolls his eyes, he isn’t listening and he doesn’t care what they think or what anyone thinks because the only thing he hates now, is being apart from his boyfriend.
