Chapter Text
Todoroki was the first to speak. "Aizawa, we know about all of the rumors that have to do with the UA traitor, after the events of yesterday it was made pretty clear that they're still here. So we came up with a second codeword for ourselves. Please understand this is for our protection as well. We just wanted to inform you."
Aizawa just looks at Todoroki unphased. "That's fine Todoroki. I appreciate the heads up. I know this is a lot to take in and I know you're both under an immense amount of pressure and you're probably extremely worried. Do what you have to to feel safe. Just stick to the rules as well. Anything else?"
"No that's all. Thank you."
"One more thing, we are investigating the UA Traitor, we've never stopped. They've been hard to locate. I just want you to know we're trying."
"We appreciate that Aizawa. Go rest. We will as well."
Aizawa nods at the two and they part ways.
"Now that that shit is over with, can we just stay in one of our rooms and watch a movie?" Bakugou asks.
"Yes. That sounds nice. Should we eat though?" Todoroki replies.
"Probably. We can grab something quick in the kitchen, I guess."
They head to the kitchen and work on grabbing something quick to eat. Todoroki does the same. After they make their food, they head back to the rooms. Choosing Todoroki's for the rest of the day. They open the door and settle in on the bed.
They eat their food quietly, stuck in their own minds. After eating they find a movie to watch together. Choosing something they hadn't seen so that they could keep their minds off of the craziness that was overtaking their lives.
When the movie ended Todoroki asked, "Should we just have a movie marathon or something tonight?"
"That sounds nice, Sho." Bakugou agrees.
So a movie marathon commences. They take a quick break when Todoroki checks in with his family. They were obviously informed of the situation and we're extremely worried.
Bakugou only hears Todoroki's side of the conversation. "Look, they are tightening security, we have cosewords in place, and like Fuyumi said before, we can't just stop living our lives because of this. Just stay safe. I'll check in and if need be, text the codeword if something happens and you can't call, okay?"
When Todoroki hangs up the phone he looks tired, tired of all the extra stuff going on. Tired of worrying so much. Just tired.
"Sho, we can go to bed now if you want. I know it's early and shit, but you look exhausted." Bakugou says.
"Can we just cuddle and pick one more movie?" Todoroki asks.
"Sure."
They choose another movie and by the time it's over, they are both tired. So they get ready for bed. Todoroki holds Bakugou close to him. She makes him feel safe and rigtht now, he needs that. They fall asleep in each other's arms and hope for a better day tomorrow.
When the morning comes, Bakugou and Todoroki don't want to get up, so they spend the day in bed again. Cuddled up under the covers. They pick a show to binge watch knowing that the weekend was coming soon and they weren't going to have classes until Monday.
At some point during their binge watching, Bakugou's stomach growls. She blushes even though it's a normal thing. "I guess we need to eat something." She says.
"Mmm probably a good idea." Todoroki replies.
They sigh and get out of their cacoon of blankets. They both change into the semblance of normal clothing and go to make some food. No one's really in the lounge as they get downstairs.
Bakugou smiles, happy for some quiet. "What do you want to eat?"
"Breakfast sandwiches?"
"Works for me. Won't take too long."
Sure enough in about 5 minutes breakfast was done. They grab plates and bring the food back to the room. As they start to eat they turn the show back on. Enjoying the simplicity of the day.
At 5 Todoroki's alarm goes off. They pause the show, now on season 2, and Todoroki makes his call.
"Shoto!" Bakugou hears.
"Father, can you avoid screaming like that when I call? It's loud and anyone in the area can hear you."
Bakugou laughs at that a bit. He wasn't wrong, she was pretty sure anyone in the next room would have heard the yell as well.
"How is everyone?"
"Alright, we're okay too. School is pumping up security and we have some other things we're planning on doing."
Todoroki nods. "Yes. Of course. If something changes you'll know."
"Bye. Goodnight." Todoroki hangs up the phone. "They're fine. Father agreed to not yell so much when he picks up the phone."
"Good. I'm glad they're okay. It probably means that we are going to be targeted first. Which isn't good, but we're at the school and they can protect us more. I know your father is the number one hero and all, but the rest of your family isn't training like us." Bakugou mentions.
"That's why I worry about them. Fuyumi said they're being trained in some more basic self defense. They have support items in case they need them for their quirks. I don't know what I'd do if they were attacked..."
"They're doing the best they can. Fuyumi swore they can handle themselves right? Just remember they were trained by your father to some degree too."
"I know."
"Look that bastard is going to attack whenever the fuck he feels like and you bet your ass that Toga will be involved. We're all as prepared as we can be."
"You're right, but..." Todoroki sits down on the bed and puts his head in his hands.
Bakugou moves to his side and holds him. Hoping he'll find comfort in her presence. He turns to her and envelopes her in his arms.
"We can handle this." He says quietly.
"Yes."
