Chapter Text
*next morning at the beach*
Koneko and I set up a picnic blanket and basket on the beach that we have been training at for the last ten months. We texted Midori-kun and Yagi-sensei telling them to come to the beach for a surprise. We only have to wait for five minutes before the boys show up. I waved them down and they came running over. Koneko laughs at their excitement while I shake my head smiling softly. I had wanted to invite Kaa-kun but knew it would just lead to a fight so I had asked Matron Yuki to help make a second picnic for Kaa-kun and me to share later today.
We all enjoyed the picnic and talked about random things until noon when the boys had to leave to continue training. Koneko decided to go with them to train her agility more while I take the stuff back to the orphanage and get ready for the second picnic at the park.
***~~~ time skip due to making extra pudding for the kids~~~***
I head to the park to meet up with Bakugo. As I enter the park I see Kaa-kun showing some of the kids his quirk, they are all crowded around him in awe. I decide to wow the kids by summoning a Holy ring and letting it float above my head like a halo and then flying up to them. A little girl with a cute purple dress is the first to notice me. She points at me and tugs on another kids shirt. After a moment all of the kids are staring at both me and Kaa-kun asking us more about our quirks. We talk with the kids until their parents start calling them for lunch. After the crowd dispersed we headed for an old oak tree and set the blanket and basket beneath it. “Had to steal some of the spotlight didn’t you imōto?” I giggle and shake my head lightly. “I can't let them inflate your ego too much can I onii-chan?.”
He chuckles and gives me a side hug laying his head on mine, we sit for a bit just happy to be together. After a while I heard his stomach growl and giggle lightly, telling him there is food in the basket. He sits up and pulls the basket closer grabbing a sandwich and juice then passing them to me before grabbing some for himself. We catch up on what we have been doing for the last ten months and just enjoy each other's company. We decided to talk about how we did in the U.A. exams. “I feel like I aced both of those stupid exams the writing one was way to easy and the practicals was easy too. I ended up beating Neko-Chan by 19 points in the end.” He smiles and puffs his chest out slightly. I shake my head as he asks how I did on my exam.
“Well like you said the written was way too easy especially English.*he nods since I helped my friends become almost fluent in english* The practicals on the other hand were easy until the Zero pointer showed up. Me and Midori-kun teamed up. I had let him use one of my rings for a flame source. We were getting plenty of points so we were going to leave the zero pointer alone until Uraraka screamed. She had been caught under some rubble so Midori-kun got her out while I summoned around 10 rings to tear and burn the robot apart. Once we finished saving Uraraka, Present Mic called time so we took her to the gate and I healed them using a little bit too much stamina.”
Kaa-kun lightly hits the back of my head. “You should know better than to try and summon more than your limit Imōto, and then to heal others after going over it. No wonder you fell asleep on the way home.” He Shakes his head sighing. “Our group didn’t have any trouble with the Zero pointer, no one was stupid enough to destroy the streets or buildings thankfully. You probably did beat me. I didn’t even think to help anyone if they were being overrun or hurt, and since it’s a hero school they probably have a rescue point system as well.” I nod and ask how many hero points he had gotten. “I think I got 77 villain points while Neko-Chan got 58. How many did you and Deku get?” I sigh at his nickname for Midori-kun. “ I got 82 Villain points while Midori-kun got 34 I believe. So you at least beat everyone but me out of our group and I hope I beat that blue haired know it all.” He laughs and asks if I mean the one who called me and Izuku out before practicals. I nod with a slight pout still mad at the guy. “I mean he acts all high and mighty and all his quirk does is boost his speed and strength but only due to momentum and his bones being used to him kicking with his engine boost.”
Kaa-kun moves me to sit in front of him and tells me to think happy things. I sigh and start thinking about the other kids at the orphanage. “Hey you know how Hogo-sha-Chan and I always have a notebook with us?” He nods and asks why I’m asking. “Well you know the books ''UnderTale” ,''To the Moon”, “Finding Paradise”, and “Rakuen'' right?” He nods and says that he loves the plot and author of the books while starting to gently groom my wings straightening any ruffled feathers. “W-well don’t tell Koneko but…..” He turns me around looking slightly worried “Hey what’s wrong you almost never call anyone by their name unless they don’t have a nickname.” I shake my head looking away slightly blushing lightly still from him saying that he loves Chise Tistar‘ books. “W-well what would you do if I said I know the author personally…?” He stares at me in shock. “Your not joking about knowing them right? No one knows who they are the publisher doesn’t even know anything but an address to send fan mail to.” I rub the back of my neck nervously. “Well Chise Tistar is two people actually not one and they are both girls……”
He looks and me then seems to connect the clues that I just gave him together. “You two used your first name and her last name didn’t you Imōto? You and Neko-Chan are Chise Tistar?! That notebook is all of the book ideas for what you two have written doesn’t it?” I nod and look away waiting for him to get over his shock and yell at me for keeping this a secret from him. “Yea ... and I was hoping you could help us with our next book idea. We decided to try to choose your own adventure book and wanted someone to be a test reader other than the Matrons because this one isn’t quite as child friendly as the others. This one is a bit more horror genre then our other books.” I look up to see Onii-Chan staring at me like I hung the moon and stars while he wasn’t looking. “Are you serious Imōto, you would let me help and be a test reader for you two?” I nod and tell him how we usually have a Matron test read to catch any major plot holes or any major mistakes before sending the manuscript to Night Baron.
He lunges from his spot tackling me into a hug and on the blanket a bit awkwardly. I squeak and try to push myself back into a sitting position to get my wings out from under us. We landed with both of my wings on the left side of my back causing my right to overextended uncomfortably. “Onii-Chan sit up please my wing is starting to hurt I landed on it wrong.” He immediately scrambles to get off me and helps me sit back up. “ Sorry Imōto I’m just so happy you trust me with this secret. Here turn around again and I’ll help by massaging the base of your wing to relax the muscles. Does the shitty nerd know that you two are famous? I think he has the entire book collection except for the limited edition “To the Moon”. I have all of the limited and soft back books.” I giggle slightly at his enthusiasm and his mini rant about the collection they have. “No Midori-kun doesn’t know, but that does not mean you can flaunt it in all of our classes' faces that you know Chise Tistar in person. And if you want I can sign all of your limited edition books. I will only sign them though if you get Midori-kun’s for me to sign as well. He seems to think my conditions through for a moment while gently heating up his palms to help relax my back muscles.
“Fine I won’t shove it in those Extras faces that I know you guys as a famous author and I will get the nerd’s mom to let me borrow his limited books for me to get them signed. As long as we can get all of them signed tomorrow and you come over to my place. Mom wants to smother you with her whining again.” I nod while laughing, agreeing to go to his house tomorrow. *~Short steps, Deep breath, Everything is alright~* I grab my phone and answer it. Kaa-kun stares in confusion not knowing the song but recognizing the lyrics. “Okay Hiro-sama I will be there soon………. yes, I’m at the park with Kaa-kun. We were celebrating the end of the entrance exams since we couldn’t do it yesterday……….. Yes ma’am I will make sure he says hi today…… Okay see you soon bye.” I hung up the phone. “The ringtone is from the limited edition song we put in “To the Moon ``. I want to put it on UTube as a cover but I need a piano accompaniment for it to sound right. I have sheet music but I can’t play and neither can anyone at the orphanage. Oh and Hiro-sama wants me there to help with the kids so help me bring all this back.” He nods and starts helping me put the blanket and everything in the basket. “I actually know how to play, I just don’t do it often because it doesn’t fit my persona. As long as the cover isn’t video I wouldn’t mind being your accompaniment. You have a really pretty voice Imōto I’m surprised you haven’t posted anything on UTube or any covers. I know you love singing, you could become famous for singing if you really wanted to, I bet.”
I blush a bit at the compliment and we start walking to the orphanage. “I wasn't planning on doing a video for the cover. I was going to post the cover as Chise Tistar with Koneko singing along with me, and then we would tweak the pitching slightly so our voices couldn’t be recognized. I was going to make the video fan art for “To the Moon” and then at the end as the outro frames and chat have my signature as Chise Tistar. So that people know the signature we will use, and have Night Baron hopefully confirm the signature in the comments or maybe on the news if it gets that big.” He nods and agrees that it sounds like a solid way to tell the world some of the unanswered mysteries of Chise Tistar. We reached the orphanage. Kaa-kun follows me in as I lead him to the kitchen so we can put the leftovers away. “Hiro-sama I’m home, and I made Kaa-kun stop by for a bit!” We hear a bunch of little feet running towards us as the little ones race to hug me. “Woah, hey munchkins is it circle time already? What story have we chosen today?” They all start shouting at the same time so I raise my left hand and mime catching a bubble in my mouth.
They follow my unsaid instructions and pretend to catch bubbles raising their right hands. “Okay that’s better, good job I think that was the fastest time yet! Onii-Chan go ahead and find Hiro-sama to show you where to put everything then come find us in the backyard, I’m gonna have you help me with circle time.” I smile gently at the three to six year olds in front of me. “As for you little bubble eaters let’s go grab the book and then head outside for circle time today. Remember to line up as a train and duck tails until we get to where we are going. Now forward to the book room.” The kids hurry to get in line with their hands behind their back. I walk to the front of the line and pretend to pull on an invisible line while saying “Toot Toot.” We head to the small book area in the daycare area of the orphanage to grab the books for circle time.
*in the backyard with the kids and Bakugo*
“Alright let’s see what books we chose for circle time today! “Sadako: and the thousand paper cranes” for the older kids, and “The Tale of the Lucky Cat” for the younger kids! Oh, very interesting choices today.
