Chapter Text
Harry pressed his body against Ginny's, tangling his hands in her sleek hair. Merlin, he loved how she felt, the way his hands knew just where she liked…
He moved one hand lower, dragging down her back to grab her bum in her tight jeans.
Ginny moaned into his mouth, rolling her hips against Harry's. His body responded back instinctively, the way it had hundreds or thousands of times before.
"Oh, Harry," Ginny whispered, pausing in their kiss to peer up into his spectacled eyes.
He grinned down at her and moved to bring their lips together once again. Before their lips could meet, they heard a large clatter from outside the broom cupboard they were in.
In a flash, Harry grabbed his invisibility cloak from the floor and threw it over the two of them. He grabbed Ginny closer, pulling her body even more flush against his than before. She was breathing hard in his arms, and Harry had to admit he was a bit winded from the excitement of their snog, as well…
He quietened his breathing as much as possible when the door to the cupboard opened, revealing first a sliver of light, and then the shadow of two teenagers, from what Harry could tell. The two were giggling and giddy sounding. Harry squinted through the darkness but was unable to make out any facial features. Bloody Hell, he swore silently. He needed to get his prescription updated again.
There was a rustling and then the two teens at once seemed as if they magnetically drew together. Their outlines collided and almost seemed like one shadow.
Merlin's bullockss, this was getting increasingly awkward, Harry thought. By the way Ginny was tensing against him, he could tell she thought so, too.
The sounds of kissing filled the broom cupboard for a few minutes, before it finally subsided.
"No one can know about us, Scorpius," one of the teenagers said. It was the first time they'd really said enough for Harry to recognize the voice. With lightning clarity, Harry realized it was his own son, Al, that had walked in on he and Ginny.
His cheeks burned hot in the darkness.
He had just heard his son passionately snogging someone!
…And that person was Scorpius Malfoy, of all people!
Of all the wizards Al could have chosen…
"I want to tell our families," Scorpius said, voice almost unrecognizable after the kissing.
"No!" Al whisper-shouted. "My family would never approve of me dating a Malfoy. And you can't possibly believe your dad would be okay with me? Does he even know you're bisexual?"
"I don't care what he thinks," Scorpius said stubbornly.
"We can talk about this later," Al assured him. One of the bodies moved back towards the other, lips meeting in the darkness.
They kissed for a few more moments, then the door to the broom cupboard opened again and light from the corridor filtered in. The shadows of the two boys moved into the light, and then they were gone, door closing behind them.
Harry and Ginny were alone in the darkness of the broom cupboard once again.
He felt Ginny trembling against him and for a ridiculous moment, Harry feared she was crying. When her first laugh sounded through the cupboard, however, Harry realized that he'd also been trying to hold in his laughter. With a feeling of relief, he let go of his restraint and laughed along with his wife.
Harry tore the invisibility cloak off of them, trying to catch his breath. There was a tear in the corner of one of his eyes. He wiped at it.
Ginny's laughter subsided into giggles, and she asked, "How do we keep getting into these situations?"
Harry looked down at her and said, "Nineteen years of marriage and I still don't know."
"I suppose it may be our proclivity for broom cupboards," Ginny admitted. "Maybe we're getting too old for all this?"
Harry spun her around to face him and pulled her closer. "We'll never be too old for broom cupboards," he told her. He brought her in for a gentle kiss, as the mood was ruined after listening in on their son snog someone.
"Well, I guess we'd better get going to our guest lecture for history of magic," Ginny said. "They may wonder where we are."'
"What are we going to do about Al?" Harry asked as he opened the door to the broom cupboard. He peered about the corridor—the coast was clear.
He motioned Ginny on, watching her bum as she moved in front of him. Soon, it was obscured by the cloak she pulled on.
She shrugged. "We'll just let him tell us when he's ready."
He moved to walk beside her, grabbing her hand. "Doesn't this remind you of when we first got together?'
Ginny flushed, and Harry thought that she was just as beautiful as she'd been that day in the Gryffindor Common Room so many years ago. Merlin, he loved his wife.
