Chapter Text
With their numbers lower, at 28 by now. They were not surprised to find another new car. It seemed to be blank but then Sheldon’s imagination had made a recreation of Jenny appear. She looked at Sheldon and waved happily with a “Hey Sheldon! Hey Brad!” She seemed to be exactly like Jenny from the real world.
“Jenny?! What are you doing here?” Brad was shocked.
“Oh, I’m not the real Jenny. This is the imagination car. Whatever you imagine becomes read in this car. I am your guide for this car.” She bows.
“So, wait, you just took the form of someone we both know?” Sheldon asks, confused.
“Yep, and I’ll be here to guide you. Unless your imagination cuts me out of the picture.” The guide elaborates.
“Oh… So, if I just.” Brad says, imagining him and Sheldon on a cliff looking out to a sunset.
“Huh?” Sheldon is confused. “How did you...?”
“I imagined us on a cliff watching the sunset,” Brad says with a smile.
Sheldon blushes hard, when he realizes how much blushing he hides his face.
Just then the wind starts to blow, the both of them look up and it seems a storm is starting. “Fuck!” Brad shouts, grabbing Sheldon to run further into the cliff for stable ground.
Just then the ground under Sheldon lets out and he falls, luckily since Brad grabbed his arm he didn’t fall too far.
“Sheldon! Grab my hands!” Brad screams.
“Brad I need to tell you something, just in case I lose my grip!” He says, trying to grab Brad’s other hand.
“You’re not gonna lose grip! I won’t let that happen!” Brad says, tearing up at the thought.
“Brad, I love you! I know I shouldn’t but I do!” Sheldon screams. This makes Brad stop for a moment.
Brad couldn’t believe what he was just told… He suddenly got a rush of adrenaline and pulls Sheldon up by grabbing onto the arm he already had a grip on. He pulls Sheldon close and doesn’t let go as he runs further down to the cliff’s more stable surface.
Just then the room begins to change as Brad does his best to imagine a comforting place. He thinks back to all the anime and manga he’s seen with scenes close enough to this that could comfort them both. The room because a path with lines of Sakura trees at each side, peddles covering the ground and trees.
“Sheldon! Are you okay?” Brad asks, pulls Sheldon away from him. He keeps his hands on Sheldon’s shoulders, as he lets his tears fall.
Sheldon doesn’t say anything, he looks down in shame as he lets his own tears fall.
“You could have been hurt, Shel! I can’t lose you, especially not to this train!” Brad cries out, moving his hands to Sheldon’s cheeks.
Sheldon looks up at Brad with shock, he didn’t believe what he was hearing. “But-“ Sheldon starts.
He gets cut off by Brad kissing him on the lips, Brad’s eyes closing on his way to break their distance. Sheldon’s eyes are wide open in shock, but they soon close as well. Sheldon gently grabs hold of Brad’s arms, just to be sure this is real.
That’s when their numbers go down to 0, they hear a door open and they part. They look at each other with joy shining in their eyes. Brad smiles and grabs hold of Sheldon’s hand.
“Let’s get off this train,” Brad says, squeezing Sheldon’s hand.
“Ya.” Sheldon returns the smile with a big goofy one.
They went through the door, hand in hand. They knew it might be hard but they’d make it work. They loved each other and didn’t want to be afraid to show it. They lost friends and family along the way but they lived a happy life together. Jenny was their best woman at their wedding.
