Yukina and Lisa were silently sitting in Yukina's room. The light noises from Lisa working on her homework were filling their comfortable space. It helped Yukina to focus on new lyrics or melodies. Vague ideas of themes or words went through her mind but none of them were special enough to think deeper about it. She watched Lisa's hair moving smoothly around from the girl reading through her textbooks. From time to time Lisa would let out a satisfied hum. Yukina smiled.
Then it hit her. A good sentence for new lyrics.
She reached around for a pen but none was out. She looked over in Lisa's hand. Yukina reached her hand, a grabbing motion for it.
"Yukina ?" Lisa looked at her slightly confused. Yukina made a grabbing motion again. She needed the pen now. Her idea could fly away at any instant.
Lisa smiled at her and Yukina was about to be relieved but instead of receiving a pen, it was Lisa's soft face that ended up in her hand.
"Lisa-"
"Yukina, what's wrong ? You seemed really eager." Lisa said with a light chuckle in her voice. Yukina couldn't help but stare as Lisa closed her eyes in appreciation of being held.
Like a cat, was Yukina's immediate thought. Her hand instinctively started to gently stroke Lisa's cheek.
"Lisa. Pen."
"Uh ?" Lisa opened her eyes with a slight disoriented look.
"I need your pen." Yukina said and motioned with her free hand, the exact same way she did with her hand that was now claimed by her girlfriend. Not for much longer however.
"Oh !" Lisa sat up straight, leaving Yukina's hand only with the phantom feeling of her face. Yukina almost wanted to reach for her again. If only to feel the now extremely red cheeks of Lisa.
"Right ! Here you go !" Lisa gave her the pen without looking at her. She could see Lisa trying to rub away the embarrassment on her face.
"You didn't have to stop." Yukina said, trying to make it easier on her.
"I just- It's okay you got what you needed, haha !" Before Yukina interrupted her again she continued, "What did you need it for ?"
Yukina opened her mouth and looked at her blank page. Oh no. What she dreaded happened.
"I… I forgot." She answered and lowered the pen on the table.
"Yukinaaa, I'm so sorry !" Lisa put her face to the table and Yukina sighed. She walked up and sat next to Lisa.
"Lisa, it wasn't a big deal."
"What if you don't remember, though."
"Well, I will remember to have a pen next to me next time. And I got something out of it."
"Uh ?"
Yukina reached for Lisa's face like she had a few moments ago.
"I like that."
For all the confidence Lisa may have, it always surprised Yukina of how easily embarrassed her girlfriend could be.
"Yukina, you don't want me to tease you but then you do that to me."
"I don't do it on purpose like you."
"Fine."
Lisa finally detached herself from the table and fully leaned on Yukina who never let go of her face. She felt Lisa's arms loosely go around her waist as her habit. Yukina's free hand went through Lisa's soft hair.
"Love you." Lisa whispered in her neck.
"I love you too, Lisa." Yukina felt Lisa smile. This was definitely better than the few lyrics she forgot.
