“Guy-san, you should really learn to loosen up a bit.”
The usual tease from Chikage snaps the Zahran from his concentrated daze as he leads him along the dance floor with grace. Deep forest green hues meet the dull blue orbs of his partner as he raises his brows in slight alarm.
Hands intertwine as Chikage slides away, soon pulled back by Guy as they beautifully clash and twirl about. “Is my technique too hard to follow, Utsuki?” He asks, and Chikage only responds with a light chuckle.
“Not at all. You’re a great dance instructor actually.”
The duo’s steps synchronize as they glide across the floor to the strum of the bass as he continues. “You’re really good at teaching, Guy-san.”
“I thank you for the compliment, Utsuki, but...”
A small shuffle brings Chikage closer to Guy, neither of them fazed by the contact.
“What do you mean by ‘loosen up’?”
While Guy takes the reins of the dance, Chikage controls the conversation as he lets out a low hum, all the while he gives a gentle smirk.
“You’re having fun teaching me, right?”
Guy blinks and responds as he twirls his partner once.
“Yes.”
There’s a stretch as the two cross the floor once again, feet close as they hold each other with care.
“Show that a bit more on your face.” Chikage says as he meets Guy’s gaze at eye level. “I can see it in your eyes, but it wouldn’t hurt for you to smile, Guy-san.”
“Ah, is that so...” The Zahran’s voice trails as they’re carried into the dance once more, moving with the rhythm when-
“Ah-!”
A sudden dip has Chikage grasping onto Guy, and he meets the deep forest green hues of his dance partner: relaxed and twinkling with slight mischief.
It had caught him very much off guard, but a laugh rumbles in his throat when he notes Chikage’s slightly winded expression.
“My apologies,” Guy muses. “I should have told you this was part of the routine.”
And Chikage knew it was, in fact, not part of the routine.
A slight snicker comes from Chikage in response to this when Guy helps him straighten up. “So Guy-san is a trickster too, huh?”
“I was simply loosening up just like you suggested.”
Chikage only scoffs in response, the two sharing a short laugh before they resume their dance.
