Based off of this Video

Zoro tried to never make it a habit to stare at the cook for longer than a few seconds at a time.

Any more than that was treading into dangerous territory, and being the observational man that he was, glances over three seconds meant that he'd start to notice things.

Like the way the idiot cook's skin bruised easy, simple bumps into furniture leaving behind mottled flesh. Or the way Sanji didn't like things touching his neck often, which led to the blond constantly tying back thick hair.

In fact, Zoro was so observational, that he knew his accursed crush-- rival-- only exposed his entire face like that when he was alone. Or rather, when the blond assumed he was alone, and the swordsman was-- admittedly-- being a bit of a creep.

After all, Zoro tried to never make it a habit to stare at the cook for longer than a few seconds at a time-- at least-- never in places where the chef could catch him in the act.

Like the Crow's Nest. The Crow's Nest was a perfect spot to be keeping watch.

It was great for studying the cook, letting his remaining eye trail over sinfully long legs. Time training had filled the chef out considerably, and corset-like vests brought out the natural curves.

His eye tailed higher, past broad shoulders and creamy neck to land on a blue gaze.

Blue, like the sky, or the ocean during a storm, all wild and passionate, electric glare just bordering on manic. Though at the moment it was was calm and mirthful.

It took Zoro a full minute to understand that he'd been caught staring, Sanji looking back at him through the galley window.

He moved out of sight before his mind could even comprehend what was going on. His face burned and Zoro killed the butterflies fluttering about in his stomach.

It was a pointless endeavor though, when they later returned after dinner, fervent and strong as the chef leaned in, all golden hair and cigarette smoke.

"If you wanted a closer look." Sanji purred, breath smelling like the meal they'd just eaten and the galley empty, no sounds aside from the pounding of his heart. "All you had to do was ask."

"You can see me?" Zoro absolutely did not squeak. Sentence incomplete and let out with a rush of air because no one would be able to function properly if they had someone as dangerously attractive as the shit cook looking at them like that.

Like a meal.

You can see through me? Is what the swordsman had meant to ask, wondering how much the other knew. If he only saw the lust in Zoro's stare or the emotions beyond that, the ones that the 21 year old were too scared to truly meet and acknowledge.

A smile from the blond told him all he needed to know, as did the way his heart leapt out his chest as the chef stroked his cheek.

Was Sanji always this suave? Since fucking when?

"'Course I can." the words were purred, followed by a head tilt that exposed both eyes and something deeply salacious. "I mean, I'm looking right at ya, aren't I?"

I can see through you. Was what the chef meant.

But Zoro couldn't be bothered to worry about the implications of that, when warm lips and an even warmer body was being pressed against his own.
