Summary
Obi-Wan turns towards Anakin and prepares himself for all the worst-case scenarios he conjured up in the last few seconds.
He searches the boy for any injuries or other signs of distress but stops dead in his tracks when he barely locates the boy’s face under all the foliage that covers his small form. Clutched securely in one hand, Anakin desperately holds onto the potted vine he managed to convince Obi-Wan to let him keep.
Or: How Anakin tries his hand at plant care and ultimately manages to communicate better with his master because of it.

Master Fee hums before looking up to meet Obi-Wan’s gaze. “It seems like your padawan is very attuned to the Force. I fear it’s not actually the plant’s emotions I felt earlier. You might want to talk to your padawan, Knight Kenobi, or this plant will continue to dry out. Not to mention what might be troubling its caretaker.”
“I see,” Obi-Wan retorts numbly, his mind already lightyears away. He can’t recall anything worrying with Anakin’s behavior this morning aside from his fear for his plant. But Anakin said it was already crying when he woke up, so there must have been something else troubling the boy since before he found his plant
