Modern Times Rock ‘N Roll

Chapter 30: You still want me?

Chapter Text

𝟭𝟴 𝗦𝗲𝘅𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁

It had been a week and half since Roger and Eleanor had their big fight. Neither of them were sure if this break was doing them any good though. Roger constantly thought about Eleanor and what he said. He wished he would've just listened instead of being his stubborn self. Eleanor was the same way. Everything she did only reminded her of the fight she and Roger had. She wished she wouldn't have been so hard on him. Now Eleanor sat in the studio late at night, mindlessly listening to the music playing through the speakers. She could only focus on Roger.

If one thing good came out of this break it was that Eleanors bandmates tried to ignore the whole situation since they knew how upset she was. Sure she knew that they weren't happy and probably would never be but now they knew. The guitarists thoughts were interrupted when she Jenna and Violet talking quietly. Eleanor blinked a few times and raised her gaze.

"Yeah Norman said they're on their way back from Australia. They were supposed to do two shows but they got booed off stage." Jenna explained quietly with a smirk.

"Really? I guess Australia didn't take a liking to such a pretentious and outrageous band." Violet let out a light laugh and shook her head.

"They'll fucking remember us! We'll show them." Freddie grumbled, his arms crossed as he sat in the back of Brian's car.

"Yeah yeah. That's about the fifth time you've said that." Brian sighed and shook his head.

"Well it's true! They don't know true talent when they see it! They wouldn't know true talent if it slapped them across the face!" Freddie continued to complain.

"Jesus Fred calm down. We get it. It fucking sucked." Roger finally snapped, throwing his hand up in annoyance.

Freddie opened his mouth but kept quiet. He shot a small glare at him and shook his head. Brian glanced back in the rescues mirror and them and bit his lip. John turned around to look at Roger. He shot him a sympathetic smile and turned back around. Typically Freddie would've argued until one of them got the last word but he didn't feel like making Roger anymore upset than he already was. Ever since the fight with Eleanor Roger had been quiet and irritable. As their car pulled up to their flat they all got out, grabbed their luggage, and headed inside. They all let out exhausted sighs as they piled into the flat. Freddie dropped his bag in the hallway and flopped down on the couch. John and Brian dropped their bags off and headed for the door quietly.

"We just got home. Where are you two headed?" The drummer questioned with a raised eyebrow, still holding onto his bag.

"I was Uhm going to Ronnies." John bit his lip and glanced down. He hadn't planned on telling Roger since he knew it might get him upset but he didn't want to lie.

"Yeah I was headed to Chrissies." Brian added and opened the door slowly.

"Oh... yeah." Roger mumbled and blinked a couple times.

Brian and John shared a look for a moment. Slowly they left the flat, knowing the situation that the drummer was in. Roger sighed heavily and went into his room. He tossed his bag down and laid on his bed, dragging his hands along his face. This past week had made him miserable. He hadn't been able to see Eleanor and he knew he probably wouldn't for a while. Not only that but Queen was booed off stage. Everything seemed so uncertain and in the time he needed Eleanor most to comfort him she wasn't here. Brian and John had their girlfriends but he didn't know what he had anymore. Things felt pointless and out of place. He rubbed his temples and leaned down. The drummer began unpacking his bag, each piece of clothing reminding him of each time he saw Eleanor. God it was impossible to try and forget about her.

"Have you tried calling her?" Freddie spoke quietly, leaning against the door frame.

"She said she needed a break and I guess if that's what she wants that's what I'll give her." Roger spoke defeatedly and tossed one of his shirt back down in the bag.

"It wouldn't hurt to show her how much you miss her. I'm sure she misses you to." Freddie smiled sympathetically.

"Well if she missed me why didn't she call." The blonde sighed.

"I bet she's asking the exact same thing about you. You'll never know until you do it." He bit his lip and backed away. "Anyways do what you want. I'm headed to my room to get some rest."

Roger opened his mouth and glanced down. Freddie had a point. Eleanor was probably feeling the exact same way. At least he hoped she was. He nodded his head as Freddie went to his room and walked over to his bed. The drummer sat at the edge of his bed, looking at the phone and tapping his foot. He let out a shaky breath and reached for the phone. A couple knocks came from the front door of their flat. Roger closed his eyes and let out a heavy sigh. Maybe that was a sign he should just leave Eleanor alone. Roger trudged to the door and opened it, letting out a heavy sigh.

Eleanor looked up at the drummer and bit her lip. She swallowed hard, letting out a shaky sigh as she looked at him. Roger looked absolutely exhausted and Eleanor don't look much better. A small smile pulled her lips upward. Roger stopped dead in his tracks, his grip on the door growing tighter. Eleanor was the last person he expected to see but he couldn't have been happier that she was standing at his doorstep. Roger smiled back weakly and stood up straighter.

"I- didn't expect to see you here. I was going to call you but I just started thinking about what you said and-" Roger began quietly.

Eleanor let out a breath of a chuckle and quickly reached up, cupping his face and capturing his lips in a passionate kiss. She melted into his touch, letting out a breath she didn't know she'd been holding. Eleanor had never anticipated how much she'd miss Roger over just the span of a week but she did. She missed him terribly especially knowing how things had last ended. Roger tensed up for a split second but quickly placed his hands on her waist and pulled her closer, embracing the kiss happily. All of those doubts and worry's Roger had were wiped away in an instant when he had Eleanor in his arms.

"Im sorry." Eleanor whispered against Rogers lips, continuing to press soft pecks to the singers lips.

"Me too." Roger smiled into the kiss and slowly pulled away, tucking strands of her hair behind her ear. "I shouldn't have pushed the blame on you. It was my fault."

"Don't..... We both got angry but I could care less about that anymore. We both did and said things we shouldn't have." Eleanor whispered.

"So.... Are we still on a break?" Roger chuckled, a mischievous grin playing on his lips.

"What do you think?" She laughed, raising her eyebrows.

Roger chuckled and gently rested his hands on her hips, pulling her close and slowly backing inside the flat. Eleanor grinned, slowly following Roger while her arms snaked around his neck. He shut the door with his foot, relishing in Eleanors familiar scent and touch. Rogers hands drifted down to her lower back and he leaned into her. Eleanor hummed as she was leaned into. She leaned back a bit to meet him and slowly pulled her lips away from his own. Roger smiled down at her and grabbed her hand. He led her into his bedroom and continued the soft pecks.

"I missed you so much." Eleanor whispered and pulled Roger closer, trailing a line of kisses along his jaw.

"I missed you more." Roger smiled, leaning his head back and humming from the soft kisses. The blonde leaned down, pressing a soft kiss to Eleanors neck with a grin.

Eleanor leaned her head to the side and gripped onto Rogers hair. Slowly she raised her head back up and slid her hand down to squeeze his shoulder. The guitarist brought her bottom lip between her teeth and blinked a couple times. She had wanted Roger for so long now and she didn't want to wait anymore. After their fight she realized she would regret it if she never got the chance. Eleanor leaned up to continue the kisses, letting her tongue meet Rogers. Roger pressed his tongue against hers, his grip on Eleanors hips growing tighter. Eleanor wrapped both of her arms around Rogers neck and jumped up into his arms. The drummer quickly caught Eleanor, firmly holding onto her thighs to keep her up. Roger turned to press Eleanors back against the wall as his kisses grew sloppy. The guitarist cupped Rogers cheeks, letting out a soft hum into the kiss. Roger moved the kisses down Eleanors neck and along her collarbone, nipping at her soft skin. Eleanor let out a shaky breath and let her hand slip under Rogers shirt to stroke his bare chest. Rogers kisses continued to get lower. He stopped and gazed up at Eleanor.

"Do you want this?" The drummer breathed out, his heart beating loudly in his chest.

"I've never wanted anything more." Eleanor smiled as she gazed into Rogers eyes.

Roger nodded and slipped his hand under Eleanors shirt. Eleanor quickly helped strip Rogers shirt off and trailer her kisses along his chest. The drummer smiled down at her and carefully slipped Eleanors shirt off over her head. Rogers strong thumbs stroked over her sides. Eleanors cheeks went a light shade of red and her grip on Rogers arms tightened. He carefully unclasped Eleanors bra and slid it off and onto the floor. Roger looked up at Eleanor through his eyelashes and began placing tender kisses to her breasts. The guitarist clasped onto Rogers thick hair, a shaky moan escaping her lips. Roger sucked Eleanors nipple into his mouth and pressed her further against the wall. Eleanor tossed her head back, her legs winding around the blondes waist. Roger smiled up at Eleanor and began carrying her over to his bed, continuing the passionate kisses. The brunette smiled into the kiss as she was carried. Roger carefully laid Eleanor down on the bed and hovered over her.

"May I?" Roger hooked his fingers in the belt loops or Eleanors pants and pecked her lips.

"Yes." Eleanor whispered and returned the kiss.

Eleanor was nervous yet comfortable at the same time. She had never wanted a first time to go so well but everything felt so natural with Roger. The guitarist ran her fingers through Rogers messy hair as she gazed at him. The drummer nodded and swiftly worked Eleanors pants off. Eleanor slowly sat up and gently pushed Roger onto his back with a grin. She splayed her hands across his lap and silently asked for permission to continue. Roger nodded with a confident grin and propped himself up on his elbows. Eleanor worked Rogers pants off and let them fall to the ground. The brunette admired Roger for a moment before crawling over him and kissing him deeply. Roger smiled up at Eleanor and ran his hands along her ass. He hooked his leg over hers and swiftly flipped over so he was hovering above her. Eleanors breath caught in her throat when her back hit the mattress and Roger lingered above her.

"You still want me sweetheart?" Roger hummed and ran his fingers along Eleanors knee.

"Absolutely."

Roger let out a final groan of pleasure as he collapsed against Eleanor. Eleanor moaned out breathily, her nails digging into Rogers back as their bodies slowly came to a halt. The drummer let out a shaky breath as he laid against Eleanor, sweat clinging to his chest and forehead. Eleanors eyes fell closed and she stroked her hand across Rogers broad shoulders. Roger placed a soft kiss to Eleanors collar bone and pulled off of her with a grunt. The brunette sighed and rested a hand on her forehead as Roger got up from the bed. He quickly went into the bathroom and came back only a couple seconds later. Roger slipped under the covers beside Eleanor and pressed a kiss to her temple. Eleanor hummed and curled into the drummers side, letting her head rest against his chest. She wrapped her arms around him and blinked tiredly. Roger wrapped his arms around Eleanor and smiled down at her. Being this close with Eleanor and having no boundaries was a feeling he never wanted to go away.

"How do you feel?" Roger whispered, gazing down at her.

"I feel great and you?" Eleanor whispered, listening to Rogers pounding heartbeat as her head rested against his chest.

"Yeah. I feel a lot better now." Roger hummed and tipped Eleanors chin up to place a gentle peck to her lips.

"I heard about Australia. I'm sorry." She whispered and returned the soft peck.

"Its okay. You can't win em all I suppose." Roger let his hand run along Eleanors side and intertwined his legs with her own.

"Roger darling did you end up-" Freddie walked into Rogers bedroom and froze in his tracks when he saw Eleanor and Roger cuddled up. "Fuck! Uhm. Never mind!"

Eleanors eyes widened and she pulled the covers up to her chin, her cheeks going bright red. Roger wrapped his arm around Eleanor and tried to hide the smug grin starting to spread on his face when Freddie walked in. Freddie quickly stormed back out of Rogers bedroom, the door slamming behind him. Roger let out a laugh and smiled over at Eleanor. Eleanor peeked up at Roger and shook her head as she laughed, gently shoving his shoulder.

"Locking the door would've been nice." The girl chuckled and ran a hand through her hair.
