Chapter Text
Trafalgar Law is a living, breathing paradox of a man.
He is the biggest paradox Luffy has ever known. Law is warm and endearing one second but indifferent and aloof the next.
Some days Luffy felt like he could trust Law to take care of him and others, a simple smile in his direction is too much to expect of him.
He could be cold sometimes. His words, his actions, how he pushed and punished, commanded and ruled. The way he held his head high, the way his smile was barely real sometimes, cynical and cruel.
And it was particularly cruel how he held onto him despite Luffy’s reluctance.
Yet, Luffy knew there was a certain kind of sweetness to him, a soft kindness; the protectiveness, the gentle touches, the offered help, the warmth, the kisses, the care and newfound, overwhelming intimacy.
And his hand that always stayed open and reached out to him, no matter what.
Luffy wanted so badly to take the offered hand, and trust in its kindness. He wanted to let their palms slide against each other and their fingers intertwine, delicate and soft, like he knew Law could be in his best moments.
He just feared what would happen if Law decided he was done with being gentle. He could very well decide to break every single one of his fingers.
Luffy didn’t know how to feel about him, his heart couldn’t settle. Torn between pounding with excitement, giddy and too fast, warm with affection or being cold and wounded, sitting frozen inside his chest.
A conflicted contradiction.
It was astonishing that Law could make him feel both of those things simultaneously.
Law had the ability to make him feel like he’s the most precious person to ever exist or like he’s nothing but just another thing he owned, acquired simply to have, to possess, to shove around and show off, like a royal status symbol, hanging off his arm.
Luffy doesn’t know if he means nothing to Law or everything.
Because for someone who declared that he asked for his hand because of a simple whim, he took their marriage much more seriously than Luffy did.
Their wedding vows had meant nothing to him.
To have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, until parted by death… and so on and so forth. He’d not even been listening.
Luffy had said his “I do” without conviction, but he slowly came to realize that Law hadn’t. There had been a genuine promise in Law’s “I do”, a promise that he didn’t intend to break or disrespect.
He’d meant it.
Luffy couldn’t even fathom the thought.
“So?” Law prompted, tearing him out of his thoughts, “did you enjoy visiting the capital? We had fun today, right?”
The candle light flickers between them, reflected brightly in Law’s warm eyes, gold melting beautifully into copper. Those gold eyes were so easy to get lost in and so hard to ignore when they were looking at Luffy so intently.
Luffy wiped his mouth with the provided napkin, throwing the dirty tissue on the empty plate in front of him.
“Sure,” he muttered.
He was fed up and he wasn’t trying to hide it.
Tonight, dinner was a more intimate affair than usual. While Luffy was sick, Law had brought it to his bedside and they had eaten together. Now it had been served in one of the more private dining rooms upon his husband’s request, with no servant in sight, just the two of them hauled together much too closely.
Candles and wine between them, and Luffy doesn’t know why. If Law planned for it to be romantic, or special, Luffy had to disappoint him.
After their conversation in the carriage the air around them felt nothing but awkward and tense.
They were eating in almost unbearable silence.
It was suffocating.
Even more so, because Law kept watching him with that regretful look in his eyes that Luffy could barely stand seeing. He knew Law felt remorse about their derailed conversation in the carriage, but the King was much too proud to admit to it, wasn’t he?
Ultimately, he had meant what he’d said.
Luffy didn’t expect an apology from him.
“We didn’t even visit the Harbour,” Law remarked, carrying on the conversation that Luffy didn’t want to participate in, “We can do that next time, if you’d like. Flevance’s fleet is impressive and a sight to behold, I will show you around.”
“Yeah, sure,” he agreed with a shrug, simply because he hoped Law would give him a break and let him eat in peace.
No such luck though, because Law only raised his eyebrows at his obvious lack of enthusiasm, “Ah, don’t sound too excited,” he commented.
Jesus Christ. Just what does this man want from him?
“Forgive me,” he said, although he didn’t feel apologetic at all. He didn’t sound like it either. “What would you like for me to say instead?“
Law frowned, “If you don’t want to visit the port, that’s fine,” he said, and god, for someone so perceptive Law clearly didn’t get the issue. “I just thought-“
“Oh,” Luffy made a fake noise of shock, interrupting Law, “So now I get a choice? I thought I didn't have one?” His tone dripped sarcasm and he did absolutely nothing to hide it either.
Law blinked at him for a few silent and awful seconds, clearly taken aback.
“Of course you have choices,” he said, calmly.
Of course?
Luffy huffed out a breath. Either, Law didn’t want to understand or he’s just that dense. He knew exactly what Luffy meant, and pretending otherwise was only fueling his frustrations.
He decided he'd had enough and stood up, his chair scraping loudly over the dark woodwork flooring, “Excuse me.”
Law’s eyes flicked up to him, “You’re not excused.“
Luffy frowned. “Sorry?”
“Sit down.”
Luffy blinked, not moving a muscle.
“We are not done,” Law added after a few seconds of absolute silence, “It’s impolite to leave in the middle of dinner.”
“I’m done eating.”
“I’m not.”
“I hardly care.”
They stared at each other.
“Luffy, sit down.”
Luffy did not, in fact, sit down. “I want to leave,“ he said instead.
Law sighed, as small and tired as Luffy felt, “Would it kill you to stay?”
“It just might.”
At that, his husband pinched the bridge of his nose, obviously not wanting to have an argument but also not wanting to back down either.
They were both too stubborn for their own good.
But Luffy had bitten his tongue bloody often enough to keep the peace, had he not?
He was done with that.
“Please don’t go yet,” Law said.
It was a plea.
Desperation didn’t suit the King of Flevance, Luffy thought to himself.
Luffy tried hard to keep his face passive, “I’m tired and I want to go to bed,” he explained. He forced himself to be calm and polite. Law could be reasoned with (sometimes). “So I would like to be excused.”
A lie, he wanted to go down and visit Sanji and have his second (and third) serving there. It’s been a while since he saw the cook and right now, he preferred his company over Law’s by far.
“It’s not that late. It’s not even dark outside,” Law argued and why could he never make it easy for him? “You haven’t even eaten your dessert.”
“I’m tired,” Luffy repeated through his clenched teeth. “Please.”
“No,” Law said, sharper this time, “Sit down, Luffy.“
He stared at Law, his fists clenched by his side. If Law had no good reason to keep him here, he wouldn’t follow his wish. He wasn’t a dog that Law could collar up and command around. Perhaps it was time to make that more clear.
He felt like pulling his hair out. He wanted to throw things, take his crystal glass of wine and throw it in Law’s face, take off his brand new ring and slam it down the table so hard the thin gold would break apart, the frail little thing not being able to withhold the pressure of his anger.
“I’m leaving,” he said, voice wavering with his fury.
“For god‘s sake, Luffy, sit down-“
“Shut up,” Luffy snapped, loudly. “I’m not your damn dog.”
Law’s mouth clicked shut in an instant.
It was a mighty feeling, but Luffy felt his heart pounding, not with power, but with anxiety. He’d never told Law off like this before and he couldn’t for the life of him imagine that it wouldn’t have any repercussions.
Still, he managed to stay calm and he gave Law one last, unimpressed glare, “Goodnight.”
He then turned on his heels and walked out, Law‘s disappointed face etched into his mind.
Why does he even look at him like that? He doesn’t get to look so tortured, when he’s the one doing all the damage.
The heavy wooden door slammed shut behind him, echoing like thunder, loud and triumphal, through the wide halls of the palace.
—
“And I told him that I don’t want him to divorce me anymore, right?! I admitted it, okay? Do you even know how hard that was for me to do? I don’t think he realizes, I mean, I’m sure he doesn’t, because all he thinks about is his damn self! Can anyone fault me, after he told me that basically all my choices don’t matter, I don’t want to eat dinner with him? Hell, I don’t even want to see him right now!”
Luffy’s breathing heavily by the end of his rant. His face feels flushed and heated and he’s sure that his fury is displayed on his cheeks in red angry blotches.
Sanji hums, calm and quietly in contrast to Luffy’s fiery rage, a cigarette burning down slowly in the corner of his mouth.
Luffy groans, hopping onto the countertop next to the cook, careful not to squish any of Sanji’s freshly cut vegetables with his butt, “I can’t win with him,” he mumbled, feeling exhausted. “I just can’t, Sanji.”
Sanji silently moves his chopped carrots out of the danger zone that is Luffy and adds them into his stew. He then puts the lid on with a satisfied little noise, toweling off his hands after that.
Luffy goes on, “I know joking about divorce wasn’t exactly smart-“
Sanji snorts.
Luffy frowns, “But I apologized, didn’t I?”
Sanji sighs, a curl of white-hazy smoke coming from his mouth. He takes the cigarette between his fingers, his blue eyes thoughtful when he says, “I think the problem is that he doesn’t really believe you.”
Luffy blinks in surprise. He hadn’t really thought about something like that, “Why would I lie about it?”
Sanji shrugs his shoulders, “You told him you hated him, and you didn’t mean that either, did you?”
That’s … well, he did hate him, in that moment, the emotion was strong and real and when he said it he said it with anger and conviction. It was only later, when the storm had calmed down and his thoughts had settled, that he fully reflected on it.
No, he didn’t hate Law.
Not anymore. Or perhaps not ever.
Law wasn’t exactly easy to love, but he wasn’t easy to hate either.
Could he truly hate the man that stepped in and saved everyone he loved, all his people and his land, for the small price of Luffy’s hand in marriage?
He knew, In the grand scheme of things, Law had not asked for much. Arranged marriages between royals were nothing unusual, his request not at all strange or out of the ordinary. And from Goa’s side, the deal struck was definitely in their favor. They had to give very little and got a lot out of it.
And it had been so simple too; ship Luffy into a foreign land, to a foreign man and tie the knot.
An entire generation's future was saved in a matter of a few days.
It wasn’t a big deal, really.
Of course, from Luffy’s point of view, however, it all looked quite different.
His own future had always been a lot of “could have” and “what if’s” and it hurt to think about it.
“Or maybe,” Sanji picked up where he left off, tearing him out of his thoughts. “Maybe he didn’t mean it the way you took it.”
Luffy raised his eyebrows. How is he supposed to take Law’s words any other way?
“Then what did he mean?”
Sanji shrugged, “How the hell am I supposed to know?” he asked, “Ask him. Talk to him.”
“You don’t understand. He’s impossible to talk to,” Luffy immediately argued, “We always end up fighting.”
Sanji snorts softly, “Yeah, I know that one,” he mumbles quietly.
He lifted the lid of the pot, engulfed in hazy air for a few seconds as he stirred the simmering stew. Luffy felt warmth unfurl in his stomach at the familiar smell and he realized that it’s something he’s eaten plenty of times before.
“Is this from my homeland?” Luffy asked, curiously eyeing the pot. “It smells like-“
“Yes,” Sanji nods, “I have never added this many different meats to a stew, the orange is also a nice touch.”
Luffy bit his bottom lip hard, emotions bubbling up in his throat and he barely could keep his eyes from watering. He kind of felt like crying, why exactly he wasn’t sure. It was just a simple stew. But it’s been so long since he had eaten something as rich and as traditionally Goa as this.
He was missing home, of course, but perhaps he wasn’t entirely aware of just how much he missed it; the way his emotions felt stuck in his throat was entirely surprising.
It was just food, for god's sake.
It wasn’t like Flevance was lacking good meals either. In fact, Luffy hated to admit it, but he hadn’t eaten as well as he had here than he did in Goa in recent years.
Every single meal in Flevance had been fancy and almost astonishingly good; the variety, the flavor, the taste and texture. It had all been perfect and sophisticated and balanced out. Vegetables, meat, fish, rice and fruit. It was all healthy and delicious and Luffy thinks he might have even gained some of his lost weight back. He knew that Sanji was a high class cook. Everything he prepared would be amazing.
And now Sanji was cooking what locals of Goa would call "poor people food": It was a simple stew, easy to make in bulk and cheap, often given out for free in shelters.
But it was delicious, traditional and Luffy felt greedy for more. If Sanji was willing to make such a simple meal for him and if Law was fine with eating Goa’s local food, then perhaps, Luffy could have something from home every other day.
That thought felt comforting.
“Thank you,” he said, feeling choked up. “I can’t wait to try it.”
Sanji huffed out a breath, “Thank your husband,” he said, putting the lid back on the pot, “If he hadn’t bought all those foreign spices from the market today, I would not have been able to put this together authentically.”
At this, Luffy felt his face pull into a grimace.
Thanking Law for anything was the last thing he wanted to do. Right now, he couldn’t even look at him without feeling his hands shake with the urge to punch his stupidly handsome face.
His thoughts must have been clearly displayed on his face because Sanji chuckled quietly, obviously amused.
“C’mon,” he said and nodded towards the back of the kitchen, where the entrance for suppliers and staff was located. He toweled off his hands, “Let’s get some air.”
Luffy followed him into the backyard, stepping out into the crisp evening air, where the sky was dipped in a soft hazy blue, the sun almost gone, yet not fully letting night wash over, clinging onto the last shreds of the day while the white moon climbed up at the opposite side of the sky.
Flevance was still pleasant even this late in the summer. Though the heat of the day had given way for a comfortable warmth and the soft wind tousled their hair. Each day it was getting darker sooner, telling them that the end of the summer was near.
It took him a second to recognize where they ended up. The palace grounds were huge and even after weeks of exploring Luffy still got lost frequently, but he recognized the small way towards the rose garden where he met Law for the first time.
Next to him, Sanji pulled out another cigarette and his match, quickly lighting up. Luffy hadn’t noticed when exactly he’d finished up the other one. Somehow, the cook always had a burning cigarette between his lips.
Sanji exhaled a deep breath, the smoke pushing out his nostrils as he walked towards the rose garden.
Luffy followed, albeit reluctantly.
This garden marks the start of his and Law’s rocky relationship and he wasn’t keen on revisiting.
Perhaps, if Law had been more open and outright corrected Luffy on his wrong assumptions, if Luffy had not been so eager to voice out his anger and frustration, his prejudice and his opinions, perhaps their relationship would have been different.
Perhaps they could have had a better start.
Perhaps. Perhaps not.
He sighed, softly cupping one of the many roses in the palm of his hand.
“Do you know,” he started, “That I was the one who picked the wilted rose for the wedding ceremony?”
Sanji made a surprised sound, “Huh. That explains a lot,” he said.
“It does?”
Sanji laughed, his voice ringing through the air, soft and gentle. He had a nice laugh, Luffy thought.
He gave Luffy a mischievous glance, his blue eye twinkling, “From what I have heard, he would have never given you such a wilted rose,” he said, “Never,” he stressed.
“Wait,” Luffy tilted his head, confused, “What have you heard?”
Sanji smiled and he looked even more amused, but instead of answering him, he just went on, “God, he was probably looking for the most beautiful damn flower ever,” he snickered, like the thought of it was the funniest thing he’s ever heard, “And then you come along, and just give him the most pathetic excuse for a rose he’d ever seen, ha,” he looked like he was close to wiping a tear from his eye, “the look on his face, I wish I could have been there to witness it.”
Luffy stared at him. Not sure what was so funny.
Sanji went on, “You probably broke his heart that day, oh my god.”
“I don’t think he cared,” Luffy said, not sure he believed his own words.
He tried to remember how Law reacted towards it, but he couldn’t really recall it completely. Law had been mostly unimpressed, with him tearing the flower apart if he recalled correctly.
When he thought back to that day, all he could remember was his own desperation, his simmering anger, and the betrayal he’d felt.
There had been no room for much else.
Law was hard to read. If he’d felt any type of way over it, Luffy wouldn’t have been able to tell. He was a master of hiding his true feelings, of putting a mask of apathy over his face. He never truly showed all his cards.
“Luffy,” Sanji said his name, more serious now, pulling him out of his thoughts. “From what I’ve heard,” he said that phrase again, and Luffy wondered again from whom he’d heard what exactly, “He saw you one time.” Sanji turned towards him, “One damn time, and that was enough to make him want to marry you on the spot. That was literally all it took. One single glance.”
“I know that,” Luffy said, frowning. He wasn’t sure what Sanji was getting at. “Who told you this?”
“I mean, he saw you once. Once,” Sanji repeated and slapped him on the back with his free hand, “And then he couldn’t stop thinking about you. That’s- what do you call it?” he asked.
“Insanity.“
“Love at first sight,” Sanji eagerly answered his own question as if he hadn’t heard him. “Romantic.”
Luffy swallowed harshly. “A whim,” he corrected sternly, “I’m here because of a whim. Not more, not less.”
He’s tired of repeating himself. First Shachi, now Sanji.
He blissfully ignored the part where Law himself had admitted that it had been more complicated than just that.
“He’s in love with you,” Sanji said, and it almost sounded real coming from his mouth with such conviction. It almost made Luffy want to believe him. “That’s why he’s taking everything you say to heart.”
“I don’t-“
Sanji interrupted him, “You spoke so lightly of divorce when the thought would never even cross his mind, so of course he’s hurt,” with a flick of his fingers he let ash from his half-burnt cigarette fall to the ground, “And people who are hurt react poorly.”
Luffy exhaled a breath, eyebrows furrowing. His stomach twisted and for some reason Sanji’s words sent a fresh ache through his chest. He felt starving and empty, afraid to believe that what Sanji said could be true.
It felt too much like taking scraps from the table, gobbling up false affections that weren’t real, just to get an idea what it could be like to be full.
“Love shouldn’t be like this,” he said quietly, sitting down on one of the many stone benches. “It shouldn’t hurt like this.”
“Of course it hurts,” Sanji paused, contemplating. “What? You think love is this beautiful, selfless little thing?” he asked, “That it’s always nice and warm and comfortable?”
Luffy looked up at him in surprise. “But shouldn’t it be?”
“It can bring out the best and the worst in people,” Sanji frowned down at him, “Love can be ugly,” he stated, “Love can be cold and jealous, selfish and possessive. Especially an unrequited one.”
Luffy doesn’t meet Sanji’s eyes, letting his gaze sweep over the rose garden on purpose. He rolled his thumb over the inside of his new wedding ring, not even noticing that he was doing so.
Unrequited love. Was it really unrequited?
Luffy wasn’t sure if love was the right word to describe what he felt for Law.
The word seemed too small, too used, too simple when everything he felt about Law was rare and complicated and as wide as the world.
Despite the resentment he’d build up in his heart towards his husband, it didn’t mean there were no other emotions lurking inside of him. They are very much there, vibrant and bright and undeniable, if he only truly cared to look deeper.
He didn’t care to look though.
If what he felt for Law was love then it was unnatural. A kind of sickness.
How could he love someone like Law? Someone who had the power to shatter him into dust? Who thought of him having little to no choices? Who didn’t want him to have any to begin with?
So, no. He wasn’t in love with Law.
He couldn’t.
It was strange to want to befriend the idea despite all that. It was terrifying.
“It’s not such a bad thing,” Sanji pulled him out of his thoughts, “to fall in love with your husband, Luffy.”
Luffy gritted his teeth to stay silent. Sanji had no idea what he was talking about.
Sanji shrugged, when Luffy didn’t offer an answer, “You might even like it,” he said, “If you give him a chance.”
Luffy thought back to all the ways he’d already submitted to Law. The way he’d tried to stay put and smile and let Law touch him.
He had given Law chances.
When he’d danced with Law.
Kissed him.
Not to mention, that fateful day in the bathroom where he'd acted so shameful and needy.
He’d done all he could and still-
They just didn’t fit.
Law might love him in his own weird and fucked up way but what does it even matter if he didn’t respect him? When he didn’t even think Luffy had a choice?
“I have given him enough chances,” he mumbled a little tiredly. “I’m done. It just hurts.”
Sanji hummed, “You want to know what I think?”
“Not really,” Luffy laughed and rolled his eyes, he good naturedly shoved at Sanji’s shoulder.
Sanji snickered, “Rude,” he mumbled underneath a breath, “Believe it or not, but I understand where you’re coming from,” he said, “I too, have fallen for someone I would never have chosen myself.”
Luffy stared at him, mouth dropping open, “Are you- what? in a arranged marri-“
“No, no,” Sanji waved him off, “But we always argued, we never got along, we literally kicked each other's ass,” he snickered, “I couldn’t stand him and he couldn’t stand me. Or so I thought... But then I started getting courted by someone else and well.” Sanji paused and shrugged, “Let’s just say everything got even worse, until I finally understood that he was lashing out at me because he wanted me for himself. He was incredibly jealous.”
Luffy listened carefully, trying to understand what Sanji was trying to tell him, but he didn’t truly get it.
“And?” He prompted. What did that have to do with Law and him?
Sanji glanced at him, “I gave him a chance. A true chance. I tried to understand where the arguments came from, see it from a different perspective. Was he trying to control me or was he being insecure? Why was he feeling so insecure? And what could I do to prevent that?” He shrugged, “We figured it out eventually.”
Luffy blinked. “So you don’t fight anymore?”
Sanji laughed, “Oh no, we fight plenty,” he said, “But it doesn’t hurt, Luffy.”
Luffy hummed, trying to figure out what Sanji wanted him to conclude from his little story.
Some part of him felt envious. The entire time Sanji had talked he'd had that far away look in his eyes, ocean blue bathed in affection, like he was thinking about his lover and couldn’t quite contain the warmth seeping through.
Luffy wanted to know how that felt, to be so full of love for another person that it would drip out of him so easily.
“What I am trying to say,” Sanji said, “That for this to work you need to erase his insecurity completely. It’s not enough to say you don’t want to divorce him, your actions have to line up with that. You need to put all the doubts to rest.”
Luffy didn’t even know where to start.
“Why is it on me?” he snapped.
Wasn’t it enough that Luffy had literally married Law? That he had left his home and everything he loved behind to exist with him?
What else was he supposed to give?!
Suddenly, he felt his face warm up, heat traveling through his body at the reminder that they technically didn’t consummate their marriage.
Oh.
There was one thing Luffy could give.
Luffy bit his bottom lip harshly.
He couldn’t possibly….no.
He couldn’t.
Not now, not when things were so tense.
He was angry and he didn’t want to give in.
Law had fucked up, and Luffy wasn’t about to reward him for it by offering himself for the taking.
No way in hell.
—
Even though it was late, Law wasn’t asleep when Luffy returned to their chamber.
He was on the bed reading, though he had not changed into his sleep wear. He predictably put the book aside once Luffy entered, sliding the reading mark between the pages, before flipping it shut.
Luffy went to the dresser, pulling out his sleep wear to change into.
“You were gone for a while,” Law stated.
He sounded careful, like he expected Luffy to lash out any moment. Perhaps telling Law to shut up, had rattled the King more than expected.
Luffy shrugged, not sure what Law wanted to achieve by making small talk. “I was with Sanji,” he said as a way of explanation.
Law nodded slowly, “In the rose garden, yes, I saw.”
Luffy squinted at him, “Did you watch us?” he asked sharply, “From the balcony?”
“No, I just-“ he palmed his face and looked like he weightened his words, “Happened to see?”
Luffy snorted softly. Right.
He turned his back to him, slowly peeling his clothes off, knowing that he was being watched. He had just gotten his shirt off and over his head when he heard how Law get up from the bed.
He tensed up when he could hear and feel Law getting closer, approaching him from behind.
Suddenly tattooed hands rested on his waist, gentle, but possessive. Law placed a kiss on his shoulder. Luffy couldn’t help but inhale sharply, though he tried to hide it.
Luffy tried to act like it didn’t affect him, having Law so close behind him, touching him. It shouldn’t matter. Law could touch him all he wanted and it shouldn’t fucking matter.
Yet, it felt like that single soft point of contact was all he could focus on.
“I don’t like it,” Law said, his words pressed against his skin as he placed another kiss on the back of his neck, more firm this time, “It pisses me off.”
Luffy scoffed quietly, fumbling with the hem of his shirt as he tried to lean his head to the side and away from Law. He couldn’t think clearly when Law was so close.
He hummed, “Don’t like what?”
Law huffed out a small breath, warm air tickling the hair on Luffy’s nape, “Seeing you two together like that, so close, walking alone at night, laughing, talking so intimately,” he said, “One could only assume he’s hoping to bed you.”
Luffy almost laughed out loud. Law was ridiculous.
He turned around in Law’s grip, glaring up at the older man, “I don’t know if it escaped your notice, but I’m married.”
“You are,” Law’s lips curled up, though he didn't look amused, “But what does that mean to you?”
Luffy swallowed harshly. What the hell was Law implying?
“You can not be serious,” he said exasperated, his tone a little louder than he meant to, “I’m a goddamn virgin. Do you honestly think I’m looking to seek a fucking affair?“
Law tilted his head, frowning, “Do not cuss at me.”
“Fuck you, Law.”
Law’s gaze darkened, his grip tightening slightly. For a moment they stood in silence, the tension palpable. Luffy bit his bottom lip; he wasn’t about to take it back, but he knew he crossed a line. There was probably no one alive who had ever spoken to Trafalgar Law like that.
But to his surprise, Law’s expression shifted into tired defeat, his grip loosened and he ran a hand through his hair with a small sigh, “You infuriate me so,” he mumbled, his tone softer, almost weary. “I just don’t know what to do with you.”
Luffy exhaled a breath, “Maybe you should try trusting me, instead of accusing me of things I didn’t even do,“ he said, “Why are you so jealous? There’s no reason for it.”
Law shook his head, "Of course, I am jealous," he said, “You smile at others but so seldom at me. You chatter to Nami and then ignore me. You touch Zoro, but you act like you hate my touch. You give your happy thoughts freely to Sanji, and there are none for me.”
Luffy’s eyes widened in shock, “That’s not true, I don’t-“
“So how can I not be jealous?” Law interrupts him, “I want all of it. I want everything you have. I want your tears, your touches, your smiles, your frowns. I want it all, and I do not wish to share.”
Law looked like it took immense effort to admit so much at once, to lay down his cards in front of him.
Laid bare like that, Luffy didn’t wish to hurt him.
So he nodded, “Okay,” he said softly.
There was no reason for Law to be jealous, Luffy had meant that.
Maybe Sanji was right and Law’s occasional cruel coldness was the result of insecurity.
Law’s eyes searched his face, as if looking for something, “I just… I need to know that you’re with me,” he said more quietly, “That this marriage means something to you. That I mean something to you.”
Luffy’s eyes widened. There was vulnerability in Law’s tone and he looked like he was bracing himself for rejection. Almost as if he expected Luffy to shut him down immediately.
Taking a deep breath, he carefully placed his hand on Law’s chest, feeling Law’s heart beat underneath his palm. Law inhaled, as if scorched by the simple touch.
He had to tilt his head up slightly to meet Law’s gaze, “I meant what I said in the carriage. I don’t want a divorce, I…” he trailed off as he felt his face warm up, not sure how to word that he wouldn’t want anyone else but Law to touch him.
He only wanted Law to touch him.
What a terrible realization.
He swallowed, “I honor our bond,” is what he settled on.
Law gave a tiny nod. “Good,” he murmured, sounding satisfied.
“Are you?” Luffy asked, even though he was not sure if he wanted to know the answer.
Law tilted his head, looking puzzled, “Am I… what?”
“Are you honoring our bond?” Luffy asked, raising his eyebrows. “You said I can’t expect you to abstain completely, you mentioned finding someone else. It’s a fair question to ask.”
Law blinked down at him in surprise, looking like Luffy slapped him across his face. He reached down, taking Luffy‘s hand in his, raising it from his chest to press a soft kiss to his knuckles, “I don’t want anyone but you, Luffy.”
Luffy let out a breath he hadn’t even been aware of holding. Some sort of tension swept out of him all at once. Almost like he’d been truly worried that Law would say yes, to his question.
The relief he felt at Law’s confession wasn’t wanted, but it was hard to ignore.
“Good,” he echoed quietly.
“Luffy-“ Law started, his hand tightening around Luffy’s, like he was afraid that Luffy would pull away any second. “About earlier- about what I said. I didn’t mean it that way, of course you have a choice, I just-“
“Don’t lie to me,” Luffy interrupted him, frowning. “You meant it. I have no choice and you know it. You made sure of it when you asked my grandfather for my hand instead of me.”
Law racked his hand through his hair in frustration, sighing, but he didn’t protest the accusations. What could he say anyway? It was the truth.
“You arranged this marriage,” Luffy reminded him, tone hard, “you could have given me a choice by courting me properly, but you didn’t. You didn’t want me to have a choice. You knew my grandfather would have never denied you anything.”
Law looked a little desperate, “There wasn’t any time-“
“Don’t even start,” Luffy interrupts him.
He didn’t want to hear it.
Law wanted to marry him and he didn’t want Luffy to be able to say no. This is the fact they have to live with. Law chose this road.
It could have been different, if Law had tried to do things the right way, but he didn’t. He took what he wanted, simply because it was easy and because he could, and now they had to live with the consequences.
“I don’t regret it,” Law says, “I would do it again in a heartbeat if it meant I got to have you. I’m selfish, Luffy,” Law raises his hand and his warm palm cradles the side of Luffy’s face, “I wanted you the second I saw you and I haven’t stopped wanting you since then. I couldn’t have gone home without making this offer. I wouldn’t have been able to live with myself, knowing I had this one chance of tying you to me and didn’t fucking take it. I would have been a fool.”
Luffy inhaled sharply, taking a small step back from Law, but finding himself crowded against the closet.
Law’s words ignited something inside of him, a fire that scorched. That threatened to burn him down to ashes. Luffy couldn’t decide if it felt good or not. It hurt and warmed him at the same time.
It was a marvelous feeling to be so obviously desired. It was exciting, it was overwhelming.
He wanted Law too, in some ways.
He didn’t lie when he said that he didn’t want a divorce anymore. A divorce was the last thing he wanted, actually. Divorcing himself from the man that is probably hailed like a damn saint in Goa for bringing salvation was a stupid thing to do.
And then there were also his personal feelings for Law. They were confusing, and aggressive, and the strongest emotions Luffy has ever been able to feel.
“You speak of divorce so casually,” Law said, his voice tight with disbelief. “I can’t even bear the thought. I’d rather face death a hundred times than lose you.”
Law’s words hung heavy in the air. Luffy felt his heart twist and pound in his chest, each beat heavy.
"You... you don’t mean that,” he said quietly.
Law's eyes met his, the usual guarded look replaced by something vulnerable, something that almost tipped into desperation.
"I mean every word."
Luffy’s breath caught in his throat. "I never wanted this marriage," he said honestly, "but now... now I don’t know what I want,” he admitted.
Law reached out slowly, giving him enough time to avoid the touch if he wanted to. He didn’t. He let Law’s large tattooed hand cup his face, enjoying the heat it brought. Luffy’s eyes fluttered shut for a moment, the softness of Law’s touch sending shivers down his spine. When he opened them again, he saw warmth in Law’s gaze, something he had never seen before, never quite like this.
"I know I haven’t made this easy for you,” his thumb traced the soft line of his scar, underneath his eye. “I’ve been a king, a ruler, but never a husband…but I want you to be happy,” he said, “And I want you to be happy with me.”
Luffy swallowed, “Me too,” he admitted quietly.
“I’m glad,” Law whispered, his thumb continuing to follow the line of his scar, the touch featherlight, “I want you to be by my side. I’ve said it often and I mean it every time.”
Luffy swallowed hard, the moment wrapped around him like a vise, squeezing the air from his lungs. It was too much. He didn’t know what to say or do, he wanted to escape the situation, yet he never wanted it to end.
He always wanted to keep Law this close, looking down at him like he was the most precious thing in the whole world. And he wanted to believe him. He wanted to believe everything Law had said so badly, he felt like he would choke on it.
They’ve come so far and Luffy felt like he’d tried it all. Keeping Law at arms length didn’t work, insulting him didn’t work, using his body didn’t work, trying to gain the upper hand by exploiting his affections also didn’t work.
What else was left for him to do?
He was tired.
Law’s hand slid down to the nape of Luffy’s neck, pulling him closer. Every touch burned. Their breaths mingled, the space between them charged with a dangerous mix of heat, desire, and something deeper, something Luffy didn’t dare to name.
His hands found their way to Law’s chest, feeling the rapid beat of his heart. “You make me feel things I don’t understand,” he confessed, his fingers curling into the fabric of Law’s shirt. “I’m a little scared of these feelings.”
He didn’t think he’d ever been this truthful with Law.
It felt foolish to be so vulnerable, like putting his head into a lion’s maw and hoping it wouldn’t bite it off.
Law’s breath hitched, his eyes darkening at the hesitant touch. “Luffy,” he murmured, his voice a low rumble that sent a thrill through Luffy. “You’ve pushed me away many times, but I won’t get tired of trying. I want this- I want you too much.”
Luffy’s resolve crumbled under the weight of Law’s words, his defenses falling away. “Law…” he whispered, his voice thick.
Law leaned in, his lips brushing against Luffy’s ear. “One day you will let me have you,” he said, his voice dark, “All of you. And you won’t waste another second thinking about divorce ever again.”
Luffy inhaled a sharp breath at that, swallowing down a soft whine. It was filthy, Law’s promise.
The world seemed to narrow down to just the two of them, the air between them crackling with tension. He tilted his head up, his eyes locking with Law’s. “Law- please,” he whispered, the words a daring challenge and a desperate plea.
With a groan that was equal parts relief and desire, Law closed the distance, capturing his lips in a kiss that was both tender and feral.
It felt animalistic and he almost was too overwhelmed to respond, his fingers clenching into the fabric of Law’s shirt as Law’s hands tightened around his waist.
The way Law licked into his mouth was laced with desperation and need. He let his hands slide up to tangle in Law’s hair, pulling him closer, deeper, until there was nothing left between them.
Law pressed him against the closet with a soft thud, his hands coming up to Luffy’s chest, grazing his nipples. The touch seemed almost whimsical, almost accidental, but Luffy knew better; Nothing Trafalgar Law ever did was an accident.
He tipped his head back as he moaned, letting it fall against the closet door. Law took advantage of the newly granted space and kissed down his neck, his lips leaving a trail of fire in their wake.
“I don’t know if I…“ he mumbled, gasping out a breath when Law sucked bruises into the side of his neck, leaving his marks.
He lost his thoughts. What was he trying to say?
His breath hitched as Law’s lips moved even lower, each kiss down his chest, sending a jolt of fire through his body. His hands instinctively gripped Law’s shoulders, trying to steady himself as the intensity of it all threatened to overwhelm him.
He felt like he was being burned. He was being burned alive.
“Law,” he gasped, hating how needy he sounded. “What are you-“ he swallowed, his tongue felt heavy in his mouth, “What are you doing to me?”
Law’s hands slid down his chest, his fingers expertly teasing and grazing the sensitive skin. Touching him everywhere like he couldn’t get enough, making him squirm.
“Showing you how much I want you,” Law murmured against his skin, his voice a low rumble that sent a thrill through him. “I’ve been holding back for too long, haven’t I?”
Luffy’s head was spinning, his body reacting to every touch, every word. “This is- it’s too much,” he managed to get out.
Law pulled back slightly, his eyes locking onto his own. “Tell me to stop then,” he said, his voice soft. “If you want me to stop, just say the word and we can go to bed. Easy as that.”
Easy? Nothing about this has ever been easy.
Luffy stared into Law’s eyes, seeing the raw desire and want there, dipped into gold. He knew he should be cautious, should hold back, but the truth was, he didn’t want to stop.
He wanted this. He wanted Law.
“Don’t stop,” he said, his voice barely audible but filled with conviction. “Please, don’t stop.”
A growl of satisfaction escaped Law as he pressed him harder against the closet door, his mouth capturing Luffy’s in a searing kiss. Helpless and overwhelmed, he let his hands tangle in Law’s dark hair, pulling him closer, deepening the kiss until they were both breathless.
Law’s hands roamed lower, his tattooed fingers carefully skimming the waistband of his trousers. “Let me make you feel good,” he murmured against Luffy’s lips, his voice husky with desire, “Please, Luffy.”
Luffy’s heart raced, his body responding to Law’s words with a surge of heat. He gave a sharp nod, voice stuck somewhere between his heart and throat.
Law’s eyes darkened, as he slid his hands into his pants, his fingers tracing soft lines over his thighs. Law’s hands moved with purpose, exploring every inch of his body, each touch sending waves of pleasure through him as he pulled his pants and underwear down.
Law didn’t even grant him the time to get flustered or embarrassed about being laid bare, because he did something so absolutely shocking, something that stole his breath straight out of his lungs.
His husband sank to his knees.
Luffy’s eyes went wide and he sucked in a breath, it stayed stuck in his throat as his hands fisted the fabric on Law’s shoulder, fingers clenching together tightly as he tried to remain composed.
He couldn’t believe this was happening.
Trafalgar Law, King of Flevance, was on his knees yet again.
For him.
The thought alone was staggering.
The sight of it almost killing him.
Law’s eyes gleamed with mischief as he glanced up at him. His hands trailed up his thighs and rested on his waist, holding him steady as he slowly leaned in, his lips brushing against the sensitive skin of Luffy’s inner thigh.
The sensation sent a shiver up Luffy’s spine, making him gasp.
Fuck. God.
“What are you-” Luffy’s voice trailed off, his breath hitching as Law’s mouth moved higher, leaving a trail of hot kisses. His mind was spinning, his body reacting to every touch, every flick of Law’s tongue against his skin.
He was so dangerously close to where Luffy’s cock was hard and starting to leak.
Law’s grip tightened, his fingers digging into Luffy’s hips. “I want to show you,” he murmured against Luffy’s skin, his voice low and rough with need. “I want to worship you, Luffy.”
Luffy’s heart pounded in his chest, his hands trembling as he struggled to stay upright. “You- you don’t have to…” he started, but his words were cut off by a sharp gasp as Law’s mouth found its target, lips closing around the head of his cock.
It was insane. It was filthy.
God, was it filthy.
He moaned, so loud and sharp, he couldn't even hold back if he tried. Fuck, how was he meant to survive any of this?
The sensation was overwhelming, a mix of pleasure and disbelief. His fingers tangled in Law’s hair, his body trembling as Law’s skilled mouth kissed down the length of his cock. He couldn’t believe this was happening, couldn’t believe the intensity of the feelings coursing through him.
Nobody had ever …
Luffy hadn’t thought people actually did that.
It felt like pure sin.
Law looked up, his eyes locking onto Luffy’s, the intensity in his gaze making Luffy’s knees weak. How was he meant to survive this if he couldn’t even handle the look on Law’s face?
“I want to,” Law said simply. “I need to.”
Luffy’s breath came in ragged gasps, his body quivering under Law’s touch. He had never felt anything like this, the sheer intensity of it making his head spin.
“Law-“ he whined, his voice breaking.
Law’s hands moved up, caressing Luffy’s sides as his mouth continued its relentless assault. Every touch, every kiss, sent waves of pleasure crashing over Luffy, driving him closer and closer to the edge.
Law set a slow and steady rhythm, that might just send him to an early grave.
“Ah- Law,” he moaned, taking his shaking hand from Law’s shoulder to the back of Law’s head, wrapping his hand around it gently, “Please.”
Law made a noise, satisfied at the touch and it made Luffy close his eyes and melt down into the floor. Law swallowed around him, before pulling off entirely, his hand wrapping around Luffy’s cock; wet and flushed red.
“I knew you would taste good,” Law groaned, latching his mouth onto Luffy’s soft thigh, sucking bruises into his tender skin. “Always knew you would taste so fucking good. Knew your pretty mouth would sound so good begging for me. God. What else can I do to you?”
Luffy whined at that, it sounded pathetic even to his own ears. He tugged softly at Law’s nape, urging him to continue without asking for it. He had lost the ability to form words.
Law huffed out a hot breath against his skin, “Needy little thing, aren’t you?” He chuckled warmly, eyes flashing up against as he took him back into his mouth.
Law had done this before, Luffy thought suddenly, it was obvious with how confident and skilled he was. The thought made his stomach curl tight. He didn’t want Law to be on his knees for anyone but him.
Law’s mouth was perfect and warm and amazing and Luffy let his eyes close as he moaned in pleasure, not trying to hide how good he was feeling anymore.
He could feel his heartbeat, hear his blood rush, feel every single nerve light up.
God, they should have been doing this all along.
Why the fuck hadn’t they been doing this all along?
The sound of Law sucking his cock was almost drowned out by the noises Luffy couldn’t hold back. He tried to buck his hips into Law’s mouth, but Law’s hands pinned his hips roughly against the closet door.
Somehow, even from such a vulgar and submissive position on the floor, Law was still controlling the pace, the situation and Luffy too. It was so easy to get lost in it.
His vision blurred, his fingers tightening in Law’s hair as he felt himself spiraling out of control. “Law, I can’t… I’m going to…”
Law’s response was a low, pleased hum that vibrated through Luffy’s entire body. It only seemed to spur him on, redoubling his efforts, bringing his wet hand back up to wrap around Luffy’s cock, pumping steadily and Luffy moaned brokenly fearing he stood no chance.
He came before he could even register it.
With a loud, broken cry, Luffy felt himself shatter, the world around him dissolving into a haze of white-hot pleasure as he released into Law's mouth.
Oh god, oh fucking god.
He slumped against the closet door, panting heavily, his body trembling with aftershocks. Law licked up his cock and he shivered in oversensitivity, hips twitching away from Law’s sinful mouth.
He opened his mouth to say something but there was not a single word left in his brain, the only thing he got out was a pathetic squeak when Law squeezed his cock in his hand again.
It was too much, way too much.
“L-Law, please,” he begged, trying to get out of Law’s hold.
“God, you did so well, sweetheart, so beautiful, good boy,” Law groaned, palming himself through his pants. Luffy felt like his legs were going to give out at any second at the sight alone. He kept staring at where Law was touching himself, almost in a trance-like state. Law’s other hand was gentle when he wrapped it around Luffy’s calf. “You’re shaking,” he whispered.
Luffy choked out a hysterical laugh. “Yes,” he said dumbly because his legs were very obviously putty.
Law grinned at him, leaned forward, and trailed his mouth softly up his thigh until he pressed his lips low on his stomach
It made another shiver run up Luffy’s body.
Law rose slowly, his eyes never leaving Luffy’s as he gently cradled his face.
Then he did the unthinkable.
Law kissed him.
Luffy groaned quietly, it was dirty, a kiss such like this after an act like that.
Law licked into his mouth, sharing the taste of his release and Luffy couldn’t help the noise that escaped him at that. Law had absolutely no shame, and he was dragging him down with him.
When Law broke the kiss, he stayed close, breathing heavily, lips almost touching. Luffy blinked his eyes open, trying to get his breathing under his control.
He felt insane for enjoying this as much as he was. Shouldn’t he find it disgusting?
Luffy had always thought that servicing someone with their mouth was a filthy, sinful act, something only prostitutes did.
The idea that Law, a man who always exuded dominance and control, would willingly put himself in such a docile position for him was baffling.
Law commanded respect and fear with a mere glance, his presence always imposing and authoritative. He wasn’t submissive at all, and yet he had knelt before him so easily, taking him in his mouth with a fervor that left him breathless.
Why would Law do that for him?
It contradicted everything Luffy had believed about power, dominance, and intimacy.
And then, almost unbidden, the thought crept in; what if he did the same for Law?
The idea of being on his knees for Law, of opening his mouth and letting Law do what he pleased, of looking up at Law, seeing the raw desire in his eyes, of giving Law that kind of pleasure, of being the one to make him come undone, made him almost moan out loud. He kind of wanted Law to take it, to make him-
Jesus. He needed to calm down.
He took a deep breath, “That was-“
Law didn’t let him speak, he pressed another kiss to his mouth, this time more languid and slow. Luffy let himself fall into it, kissing back with a quiet sigh as Law pushed close to him.
It made another wave of heat surge through his body as he felt Law’s erection through his pants, pushing against his hips.
He moaned softly at the feeling, feeling helpless and hot, and not knowing what to do against it, but that need to return the pleasure that he received from Law had resurfaced once again.
Last time, Law stopped him.
Now, when he trailed his hand down Law’s stomach, feeling insecure yet reckless, Law didn’t stop him at all.
He only groaned quietly into Luffy’s mouth, when his hand hesitantly palmed Law’s bulge.
Luffy swallowed harshly, fuck. Law felt huge even through the layer of fabric, and he felt overwhelmed with it, not sure what to do.
He broke the kiss, “Law,” he said quietly, “Tell me what- what to do,” he mumbled out quickly, his face heating up in embarrassment, “Please.“
“Fuck,” Law sighed against his lips. He put his hand on top of Luffy‘s pressing down, and cursed quietly. Luffy blinked up at him, taking in every reaction on Law‘s face, “Feel how hard you make me? This is what you do to me. It is maddening.”
Luffy’s breath hitched, “Law,” he whined, “What should I do?“
Law’s gold eyes were heated. Hungry. Luffy swallowed at what he saw. “You’re already doing perfect,” Law murmured darkly. “Just keep touching me, yes, like that.”
He moved his hand, now more confident under Law’s guidance, with a more deliberate pace, feeling the heat and hardness through the fabric.
It was so hot. Fuck. He couldn’t think.
The friction drew a deep, guttural moan from Law, which was almost making him let out a whine in response. He hadn’t known how simply touching Law was able to turn himself on this much.
He wanted more. God, he wanted so much more.
Before he could voice out his thoughts Law leaned in, capturing his lips in another hungry kiss, his tongue licking into his mouth. Luffy’s hand continued, feeling the weight and shape of Law through his pants.
This was the first time since they had said their “I do’s” that Luffy felt like he’d any sort of power over his husband. The thought alone was enough to give him a rush.
“God, Luffy,” Law groaned, his breath hot against Luffy’s lips. “You have no idea what you do to me.”
He wanted to know, he wanted to see, so fucking badly.
Law’s desperation was a filthy, contagious thing.
His heart raced, his own need building again as he watched Law’s reactions. “I want to make you feel good too,” he whispered, trying to keep his voice from shaking.
He was nervous, still. This was new to him and he was a little afraid of his own desire. He knew how it scorched once he gave in.
Law’s eyes softened for a moment, and there was something in his gold eyes that could only be described as affection. It made Luffy’s heart ease up somewhat, and he let out a deep breath.
He couldn’t believe Law was looking down at him like this. It seemed unreal.
“You’re making me feel good,” Law mumbled quietly, his voice almost reverent. “But… if you want to do more…”
He gently guided Luffy’s hand to the waistband of his trousers, showing him how to undo the buttons.
Oh.
Oh.
Luffy’s fingers fumbled, his heart pounding with anticipation, nerves and an electric sort of thrill that could be described as one thing: desire.
He desired Law. He wanted him.
When he finally managed to free Law from the confines of his trousers, he hesitated for a moment, taking in the sight before him. Law’s cock was big, and Luffy felt heat surge through him at the sight.
So big, so good.
Luffy wished he had it in himself to fall to his knees.
He wished he was brave enough to give Law the same pleasure he had given him just mere moments ago. But he visibly hesitated. It was obvious that Law had been with many people.
What if Luffy couldn’t measure up?
That thought suddenly gnawed at him. What if Law was used to women like Lady Monet, tall, busty and confident?
Lady Monet who had flirted so easily with his husband, fluttering her pretty eyelashes and indiscreetly holding his hand, who would probably never think twice about falling to her knees for Law.
Luffy swallowed harshly, feeling stupidly jealous and inadequate at the same time at the mere thought of her. A feeling he couldn’t stand at all.
Suddenly, Law’s tattooed hand covered his, guiding him to touch and explore. “Yes exactly like that, sweetheart,” he murmured, his voice rough with need. “Do what feels right.”
Oh god.
Law sounded soft, and gentle, and all thoughts of other people flew straight out of the window and he tentatively wrapped his hand around Law’s cock, the heat and hardness making him let out a quiet gasp before he could stop it.
Get a grip, he told himself. He was making embarrassing noises even though he wasn’t even the one being touched.
He started with slow, experimental strokes, watching Law’s face closely for his reactions. God, he truly was the most handsome man Luffy had ever seen.
Law’s head fell to his shoulder, a low moan escaping his lips as he leaned his whole body forward against Luffy for support. “Just like that, darling,” he encouraged, his voice strained with pleasure. “You’re doing so good for me.”
The praise washed over him like liquid heat and he picked up the pace, his strokes becoming more confident and sure by the second. Each sound Law made, each helpless shudder of his body; Luffy took it all in like he’d been starving for it.
Fuck.
“Luffy,” Law gasped, his hand gripping Luffy’s waist tightly. “I’m close. Don’t stop.”
He tightened his hand around Law’s cock, thumb sliding over the head, spreading the wetness there. He suddenly had the insane thought that he wanted to taste it.
He was going crazy. Just what the hell was Law doing to him?
Suddenly Law’s fingers sunk in his hair, tightening as he pulled his head back, “Look at me,” he murmured, “Fuck, baby, look at me.”
He gasped, part in pain and part in pleasure, overwhelmed with Law’s intense gaze flickering over his face, like he was searching for something.
Law’s hand suddenly cradled his cheek, holding his face in his hand and the pace of Luffy’s hand faltered, only for a few moments before he regained his composure and picked it back up, causing Law to close his eyes and let out a small sigh.
“Law,” he said, voice high pitched and whiney.
It was too intense, the heavy weight of it all; Law’s cock in his hand, Law’s gaze fixed on his face, Law’s body almost completely covering his, pushing him up against the hard closet door.
He felt like he was going to burst under all that pressure.
“That pretty face had me doomed from the first time I saw you,” Law mumbled quietly, “It only took one glance at you and I knew I had to have you.”
Luffy closed his eyes at that, breath stuck in his throat and his treacherous heart squeezing with conflicted feelings. If Law hadn’t seen him that one fateful day in the port, would he even be here?
“Look at me,” Law repeated.
Luffy couldn’t help but obey, opening his eyes to meet Law’s gold ones once again.
“I can’t wait to fuck you.”
Shit.
The bluntness of the statement took him by surprise and the noise, squeak more like, that escaped him was high-pitched and needy. How Law went from romantic to downright filthy in a few sentences truly left him reeling.
Law’s grip on his face tightened, his hand squeezing his cheeks, “You will be perfect underneath me baby, I know you will be,” he mumbled, each word dripping a dark promise, “You’re going to feel so good wrapped around my cock.”
Luffy moaned, squeezing his eyes shut. His own cock was hard again, trapped between Law’s hip and his own stomach, the friction barely enough. He squirmed desperately, hips twitching in need, feeling like a desperate whore as he chased his pleasure a second time tonight.
“Look at me,” Law repeated once again. Luffy did, panting softly. He hadn’t even noticed that he closed his eyes again, “Tell me you want that, Luffy,” Law demanded, voice taking on a frantic edge, “Please.”
Luffy swallowed quickly, feeling like he’s going to choke on a breath. Has the warlord ever pleaded with anyone ever before? Luffy doubted it.
He gave a nod, not able to put what he felt into words, groaning when Law grinded his body against his, his own hard cock trapped tightly between them.
He was going to come a second time; easy and embarrassingly fast.
“Words, Luffy,” Law murmured, “I want to hear you say it,” he went on, “admit it.”
He sucked in a breath, face heating up. He couldn’t possibly say it. Was Law absolutely insane? Just because such filthy words seemed to come easy to him didn’t mean Luffy was just as perverted.
He tried to look away, but Law’s grip on his face was tight. “Say it, sweetheart,” Law mumbled, “Admit you want me to fuck you.”
Luffy struggled, he didn’t want to speak it out loud when even merely thinking about it made him want to collapse to the ground.
Why did Law need this from him? Wasn’t it enough that he had admitted that he didn’t want a divorce? Did this awful need also stem from insecurity? Or was it just Law getting off on demeaning him like this?
Suddenly Law’s hand sneaked between their bodies, wrapping around both their cocks and causing Luffy’s hand to fall away.
“Ah-“ he moaned at the new feeling.
Law’s cock felt hot and hard against his own, Law’s hand squeezing them together.
His hips bucked into the grip without his consent, his eyes pricking with tears and the pressure, the pleasure, the overwhelming feeling of too much, yet never enough.
“Law-“ he whined, “Oh god, oh fuck.”
“You feel so good,” Law mumbled, his other hand still gripping his face, looking down at him like Luffy was a gift from god, delivered to his castle like a blessing, “Pretty boy.”
“Please,” he slurred out, not caring how meek he sounded as he begged. He was sensitive from his first orgasm, but Law was forcing this out of him, it was way too much to handle. “Please- Law… I’m going to-“
Law stopped.
Luffy almost choked on a sob, eyes closing when Law pressed a kiss to his mouth, short and sweet, like an apology.
“Tell me you want me to fuck you,” Law murmured in the space between their mouths. It was wet, with tears or perhaps spit? Luffy didn't even care, “Tell me you want my cock.”
Luffy let out a long breath, hips twitching uselessly in Law’s grip, trying to regain some of that heavenly friction.
“Law-“
“Luffy,” Law said. “I want to hear you admit it.”
God.
Luffy closed his eyes tightly, face flushed red and ignored how a tear fell from his eyelashes at the movement.
“I want it, Law, I want you-”
Every single word tasted bitter. Perhaps because it was the truth and the truth seldom tasted sweet.
“I want you to fuck me- I want- oh god, please.”
“Yes,” Law breathed the word into his mouth, swallowing Luffy’s broken moan with a heated kiss. “Good boy.”
It was all too much. He’d barely come down from his first orgasm as his second one crashed over him, shaking him to the bone. Law squeezed their cocks together, his hand wrapped around them both and he couldn’t but rock up into it, as he came all over Law’s hand.
He moaned, gasped, cried and sobbed, wet lips sliding against Law’s, open mouthed and panting and if anyone would ever ask him how pleasure felt like, he would say that it felt so good that it hurt.
He didn’t even notice that Law came as well, his head felt too fuzzy to register it.
He slumped against Law, head leaning onto his strong shoulder and he thought a little hysterically that he might never be able to move ever again.
“Beautiful,” Law murmured close to his ear, “You are so beautiful.”
Luffy’s heart squeezed. He couldn’t say anything.
He leaned back against the closet, to regain some space and maybe pick up his composure. God. He felt absolutely destroyed. His face red and hot, his hair sweaty, sticking to his forehead.
Law held him through it and when their breathing evened out after a few still seconds he pulled back to look at him. Luffy quickly avoided his gaze, looking to the side. He couldn’t bring himself to meet Law’s eyes.
But Law had none of it, gently taking his chin between his fingers and tipping his head up. Luffy blinked up at him.
“You’re mine, Luffy,” Law murmured quietly, “Get that thought of divorce out of your pretty head once and for all.”
Luffy, still reeling from the intensity of his second orgasm, could only nod.
He realized that the walls he had so hastily built around himself were crumbling.
They had been constructed from resentment and defiance alone, yet Law was tearing them down one by one.
Luffy felt like he had not many defenses left in him.
Law had taken them all.
