Work Text:

“Are you sure you wanna do this?”

Tooru smirks. “I dare you.”

Koushi smiles sweetly with a hint of mischief. “If you don’t look good in the photos later, just remember you asked for it.”

The two spend a few more minutes in their cocoon of blankets, busy waking each other up with kisses and sweet words, before Koushi groans, and moves to sit up.

“Let’s get started, it’ll be a busy day and I won’t hear the end of it from Daichi or Hajime if we’re late.”

Tooru whines in protest, before wrapping both arms around Koushi’s waist and pulling him back to bed, before laying all of his dead weight on top of him, causing a loud ‘oof’ followed by breathless laughter.

“Tooru, I swear to god.” Koushi chides, his hand automatically moving to run along Tooru’s spine.

“A few more minutes.” Tooru mumbles into Koushi’s neck, tightening his arms.

Koushi lets out a long, suffering sigh, which Tooru knows means he’s won. Koushi can feel his satisfied smile on his neck, and can’t help smiling in return.

After longer than it should have been, Tooru rolls to the side and releases Koushi, allowing the latter to sit up. Tooru props his head up on his arm, watching the whole time as Koushi moves to their bathroom.

In the bathroom, Koushi turns on the water to heat it up before bending down to dig through the cabinets. He pulls out the shaving cream, straight razor, and towel before standing up and plugging up the sink, allowing it to fill with water.

“Tooru, my love. Come here.” Koushi calls sweetly, still watching the sink fill up. He is immediately wrapped in two familiar arms as Tooru makes his presence known. Tooru responds by placing featherlight kisses along the back of his neck, eliciting giggles to bubble up. Koushi lays his head back against Tooru’s shoulder to negate the attack on his neck. “How long have you been standing there?”

“Did you know that you have a fantastic ass?” Tooru mumbles along the side of Koushi’s neck.

Koushi giggles in response. “You may have mentioned that a time or two.” He reaches forward to turn the sink off before it overflows, “Okay, are you ready?”

Tooru releases his hold, allowing Koushi to slide onto the counter before moving to stand between his legs and allowing his hands to rest on Koushi’s upper thighs. He leans in to whisper in Koushi’s ear, “Always ready for you.” He smiles in amusement when he sees a shiver run down the other’s spine.

Koushi busies himself by massaging a layer of shaving cream on Tooru’s face and chin. “I can’t believe you dared me to do this, Tooru. Especially today, of all days.”

“What’s more romantic than having the love of my life shave my face on our wedding day?” Tooru smirks, watching as his fiance tries to hide a blush while he cleans his hands of the cream before grabbing the straight blade. “You sure you know how to wield that thing?”

Koushi turns back to Tooru after prepping the blade and lifts it up to the edge of the shave cream. He smiles sweetly. “You know, you should be nicer to the one that has a blade by your perfect face.”

Tooru’s eyes gleam as he assesses the challenge. “Kou-chan finally admits I have a perfect face. The world must be ending.”

Koushi tries to hide his smile with a huff, but the amusement in his eyes is still visible. “Stop talking, I’m starting.” The first run through with the blade is nerve wracking for Koushi, not wanting to cut the other, and he moves the blade slowly, ending with a nice clean shave at the end. He smiles at this accomplishment, turning around to rinse the cream and hair off before turning back to start the next swipe. “I still can’t believe I let you talk me into getting married on May 4th.”

Tooru waits until the razor is away from his face before responding. “You know you love Star Wars, Kou.”

Koushi hums before he turns back with a warm smile on his face. “No, I just love you.”

Tooru quiets down after the declaration, hoping that Koushi can’t see his blush, but knowing the other most definitely can with the way he’s focused on Tooru’s cheeks.

After he finishes the right side of Tooru’s face, Koushi goes to rinse the blade again. However, before he can get started on the left side, his thighs suddenly feel cold and there are two warm  hands on either side of his face, and he feels his fiance’s lips on his. It takes him barely a second to respond, and he kisses back in earnest before he feels the shaving cream on his lips and cheeks as well, and he can’t hold back the giggles that tumble out of him.

He pulls back enough to whisper against Tooru’s lips. “Keep your shaving cream to yourself, love.”

Tooru leans back in to steal another kiss, “What’s the fun in that, babe?”

Koushi raises an eyebrow. “I’ll show you fun.”

Tooru leans back in with a hum, “Oh, you will, will you?” He leans in to steal a couple more kisses, making his fiance laugh again, enjoying the absolute thrill of pleasure it sends down his spine. “I’ll definitely take you up on that.” He moves his hands back down to Koushi’s hips, pulling them even closer together.

Koushi throws his head back in laughter. “Tooru, let me finish. I won’t have you running around my wedding like a vagrant.”

“Oh, your wedding. Wonder what your fiance would say about that.” He leans back, allowing Koushi to resume shaving his face, while keeping his hands on the other.

“My fiance won’t be there if he doesn’t quiet down and let me finish.” Koushi smiles teasingly, wiping the shaving cream off his face.

A quiet, contemplative look comes over Tooru’s face, and Koushi decides to focus on the task at hand while he waits to hear what’s on his fiance’s mind. He is deep in his zone, finishing up the left side of Tooru’s face before he is startled out of his focus, luckily with the razor away from his face.

“Your fiance is the luckiest man alive, if he’s gonna be married to you.” It’s a quiet declaration, but it’s very loud in the space between the two. Koushi meets Tooru’s eyes with his own, and he can see nothing but honest affection and contentment in his eyes and a bashful smile on his lips.

“I think I’m the lucky one.” Koushi smiles shyly.

Koushi finishes shaving the rest of Tooru’s face, rinsing the rest of the cream off, and patting his face dry. He slides off the counter, wiping up all of the water and putting away everything he took out, before turning back to Tooru.

He grins. “There, now you’re all nice and sexy for your date.”

Tooru grins. “Oh, really?” He takes a step towards the other.

Koushi takes a step back, failing to cover the nervousness in his mischievous smile. He’s played this game enough times to know how it ends. He can’t stop himself from playing, though. “Yeah, now you don’t look like a-”

He breaks off into delighted giggles, running away from his fiance’s quick steps towards him. He makes it to the living room, before he feels arms wrap around his waist, lifting him to spin them in a circle, his back to his fiance’s chest, before he’s set back down and hiss sides are attacked with devilish fingers. Koushi can’t stop his loud laughter as his fiance tickles him, and he drops to the floor, Tooru following to straddle his hips, unsuccessfully escaping. After Koushi starts gasping for breath, Tooru finally eases his attack, letting air flow back into his fiance’s lungs.

“I hate-” Koushi gets out between pants. “Hate when you- when you do that.”

Tooru smiles sweetly, “Your laugh is too cute not to, babe.” He watches a faint blush take over as he dodges his fiance’s waving hand.

Koushi catches his breath, and can see Tooru hovering over him, watching softly.

A knock on their apartment door breaks the moment between the two lovers, and Tooru groans in frustration, dropping his head on Koushi’s shoulder. “Can we just pretend we’re not here and hope they go away?”

Koushi laughs in amusement at his fiance’s complaint, his hand playing with the hair at the nape of his neck. “I’m afraid not, love. I would really like to marry you and I can’t do that if we pretend not to be here.”

Tooru picks his head up off of Koushi’s shoulder, letting Koushi’s hand drop down to his own chest instead. “I can’t even be upset with you right now, that was the cutest thing I’ve ever heard.”

Koushi smiles as he softly moves Tooru off his lap before he stands up and holds his hand out,  pulling Tooru up to his feet. He walks over to the door, opening it to see the horde of groomsmen, plus the best men. “Good morning. How can I help you all this fine May day?”

“Mattsun, he said ‘Mayday”, I think we gotta get him out of here. This must be an emergency.” Makki smiles brightly at his partner in crime.

Mattsun smirks. “Indeed, I think he did, Makki.” He turns back to Koushi, “Blink twice if you’re being held here against your will.”

Koushi smiles upon hearing his pouting boyfriend uttering complaints in the background, and ushers the six of them inside. “Give us just a second, will you? I tried to get us out of bed early, but someone wouldn’t let me.” He smiles innocently at his fiance, who gasps scandalously in response, throwing an equally dramatic hand to his chest.

“What? Me?! Koushi!”

Koushi laughs at Tooru’s sputtering indignation at his accusation. “Come on, love. Let’s get some clothes on you.” He walks over to Tooru, wrapping his arms around the other’s midsection, leaning his head up.

Tooru leans down to shower his fiance’s face with kisses and wraps his arms around Koushi’s shoulders, simultaneously walking him backwards to their bedroom, both of them trying not to laugh at the loud groans of the others.

When they make it back to their room, they break apart and quickly get started on their separate tasks. Tooru focuses on getting dressed and Koushi focuses on rounding up all of the things Tooru might need for the rest of the day.

The two are lost in a private conversation that only they are privy to, as they walk out of their bedroom, fighting to trip the other up getting out the doorway.

“Are you two done being gross yet?” Koushi hears his brother complain.

He turns to face his brother, opening his mouth in protest.

Hajime groans instead, “Why would you say something? Now they’ll be even grosser.”

Tooru throws his arm over Suga’s shoulders, flashing a peace sign. “It’s not my fault your brother is the cutest being to have ever walked this Earth.”

Koushi swiftly punches his fiance’s stomach. “You need to stop or we’ll never make it to the wedding.”

“Ow, Kou-chan.” He pouts. “Why would you hurt me like this?”

Koushi looks wide-eyed at his fiance. “What ever do you mean?” He places his hands on both sides of Tooru’s face before pressing a soft kiss to his forehead, then his cheeks, his nose, and finally his chin.

Tooru pouts. “You missed, babe.”

Koushi smiles in response, but is once again interrupted by Hajime. “Shittykawa, it’s time to go.”

Tooru pouts as he turns to respond, “You can’t kick me out of my own house, Iwa-chan.”

“I can do whatever I want to.”

Tooru is stopped from retorting when his fiance turns his face and presses a sweet kiss to his lips. He quickly forgets his dilemma as he aims to deepen the kiss, dropping everything he’s holding and placing his hands on the back of Koushi’s head and burying his fingers in the soft hair. He ignores Daichi’s protests that his suit will get wrinkled.

Koushi pulls away too soon, and Tooru moves to follow. “You should listen to him. We’ll have all the time in the world for this later.”

Tooru finally relents, letting his best friends help carry his things. He watches them turn to put their shoes on, before heading out.

He turns back and leans in to press a soft kiss to Koushi’s lips. He pulls away before pouting. “Do I have to leave?”

“Yes, love. I told you, I really want to marry you.” Koushi leans in to place another kiss on Tooru’s lips. He then gives another. And one more, for good luck. “ I can’t wait to be your husband.”

“OI! Quit making out with your husband, Shittykawa.”

Koushi smiles sweetly at his fiance, who pulls away reluctantly, and waits for him to put his shoes on. “I’ll see you in a couple hours, my love.”

One final goodbye kiss later, Koushi watches as Tooru smiles and turns around to walk to the waiting groomsmen.

After watching Tooru get inside Iwaizumi’s car, Koushi takes a deep breath and closes the door before turning back to his best friends and his brother staring at him with matching devious smiles on their faces. He doesn’t have time to process the feeling of unease before Daichi claps his hands and takes a step toward him.

“Let’s get started, boys.”
