Summary
Legoshi took a deep breath, and let the familiar energy flow through him.
He enjoyed meditation. It was calm. It made him feel like he was in control. Control was good. He needed control to make sure he was breathing right.
He forced the air out of his lungs, and inhaled.
The water around him rippled as his body crackled with energy, before he released it.
He opened his eyes. Jack stood next to him, outside of the shallow little pool that he sat in. The Midday sun shone over top of them, creating a comfortable heat. Midday was a good time for meditation. He’d finished eating, so he wasn’t trying to meditate on hunger, which was pretty distracting, and he wasn’t cold, so getting started wasn’t as hard.
“I wish I could learn how you do it, Legoshi.” Legoshi stood up, ever thankful for his waterproof training clothes.
“I wish I could teach you. You’ve got the breathing down at least.” Legoshi stretched out, grabbing his uniform off the rock and walking off to the shed he was using as a makeshift training room. “Still, Grandpa Gosha says that only one in some 10,000 people can use it, so I guess those odds aren’t in your favor.”
