Yours was the first face that I saw
I think I was blind before I met you
And I don't know where I am, I don't know where I've been
But I know where I want to go
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
Growing up, Jimin couldn’t wait to meet his soulmate. The thought that out there was a person who loved him for his true self was the most comforting thing to him. He was so in love with the idea of it that he would beg his mother to tell him all about soulmates every night before he fell asleep.
“A very long time ago soulmates would be one body with four arms and four legs,” she would say, running her hand over his back. “Until one day a higher power separated them, forcing them to spend their lives looking for each other. But the second they locked eyes, all of the memories they made in their life beforehand were erased. It was supposed to be a second punishment, but you know what soulmates did? They prepared for it and looked at it in a different light. All they wanted was to spend their life with each other. So when they’d forget their past, they’d see it as the second first day of their life and this time they’d only make memories with their soulmate together.”
Society always romanticised the idea of soulmates so of course, it was only natural that Jimin ended up doing the same. In kindergarten, he started his first scrapbook with the help of his parents but over the years he added to it on his own. Every time something memorable would happen, he’d write it down so that when he forgot, he could just remember it again.
But the older he got, the more he learned about the dark sides of it all. Not everyone was dying to meet their soulmate. More often than you wished for, you turned on the news and found out about someone who had spent 40 years of their life making memories they just didn’t want to forget - so they’d blind themselves, making sure they couldn’t ever make eye contact with their soulmate. It hurt to imagine just what those people went through.
But Jimin knew that would never happen to him. He was faithful that he would meet his soulmate on a sunny day, maybe in a park, and they’d lock eyes and everything would be perfect. If he’d just keep making his scrapbook and write down his memories, that perfect first day would come. And he’d be happy.
Except he could have never guessed just what the universe had in store for him.
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
At age 22, Jimin hadn’t met his soulmate yet but at least he had graduated from Busan’s Dance Academy. It had always been his dream to move to Seoul and work as a choreographer for an idol and now he was just one step closer to that. After graduation, he had moved into Hoseok’s apartment, not only because they were good friends but also because Hoseok had connections. He had only recently choreographed the routine of V’s title track for his next comeback and he would not shut up about it. (Of course, Jimin was immensely proud of his friend and honestly, Hoseok deserved to brag about that.)
V was a solo artist under BigHit Music and if you were interested in popular music, there was no way you hadn’t heard at least one of his songs. Even Jimin, who admittedly had not had a lot of time to stay updated with popular idols these last few years, loved some of his songs - though he had never really looked more into him.
Not until that one fateful afternoon, at least.
You see, ever since Hoseok wouldn’t shut up about how amazing and kind and talented this V was, Jimin felt a little out of the loop. So when he saw that V was doing a live stream as he was browsing the internet, he couldn’t help but check it out.
V was… absolutely stunning. When Jimin joined the live stream, he was choosing which music to play on his phone, his face only partly visible but - oh, was he beautiful. His voice was deep and warm and made Jimin feel so comforted at the same time. It was then that V leaned towards the camera, probably trying to read comments, his eyes seemingly meeting Jimin’s and-
Whenever Jimin had asked his parents to describe what it felt like to get your memory erased, they had struggled to describe it properly. His mother had said it felt like a light switch suddenly being turned off and his father had just shrugged and admitted that he didn’t really remember.
To Jimin, it felt like jumping head-first into ice cold water.
His whole body went cold and he ended up squeezing his eyes shut, when just for a second it felt like his head was about to explode. And then, one second later, it was over. Confused, Jimin blinked at his laptop in front of him.
What had just happened?
Trying to remember what he was doing in the first place, quickly made him come to the realisation that he couldn't remember - anything. It was like instead of brain tissue he had cotton balls filling up his head.
Soulmate.
Jimin blinked again. On his laptop screen, there was still a live stream open of the possibly most handsome man. He was playing music on his phone and quietly singing along. God, he was so beautiful, he must've been created by angels.
That's my soulmate. Jimin wasn't sure how he could barely remember his name, but still be so sure that this man in front of him was his soulmate. It had to be some form of natural instinct.
One hour later his housemate came home to Jimin sitting on his bed, simultaneously skipping through his scrapbook of memories and trying to find out more about V or Kim Taehyung - his soulmate.
"Hoseok," his housemate introduced himself when he noticed Jimin staring at him in confusion, his scrapbook still open in front of him. "I'm one of your best friends, you recently moved in with me. I should be towards the back of this book in the friend section." Hoseok smiled at him softly as he sat down on the mattress. "So did you meet your soulmate?"
Jimin couldn't help the grin that was spreading on his face. "Kind of, yeah."
"Oh my god." Hoseok let out an excited shriek. "Tell me about them!"
"He's so beautiful. Breathtaking." Jimin bit his lip, feeling his cheeks heat up a little. "He's a singer and he can dance. And I think he was in a drama recently? And-"
"Wait, he's famous?"
"Yeah, look." He turned his laptop to show Hosoek the pictures of Kim Taehyung he had pulled up. "Isn't he gorgeous? I can't believe he's my soulmate."
Hoseok furrowed his brows. "You met Kim Taehyung?"
"Not exactly. I was watching his live stream today and I guess, our eyes locked through the camera. I know it sounds unreal, because soulmates rarely meet long distance, but I'm telling you I looked at him and he looked at the camera and now I can't tell you what my mother's home cooked meals taste like."
"It's just..." Hoseok sighed, looking very conflicted. "I don't think- you can't be Taehyung's soulmate."
Jimin frowned. "Why not?"
Hoseok hesitated. "Because he already has a soulmate."
"Wh-" He let out a nervous laugh. No, it couldn't be. "He can't, he has me."
"Jimin, I work with him. I know he has a soulmate, they've been dating for years." When Jimin looked like he was going to protest again, Hoseok reached out to squeeze his arm. "They don't let idols debut before they find their soulmates anymore so this exact thing doesn't happen. Can you imagine the chaos if an idol met their soulmate at one of their concerts and forgot everything mid-setlist."
"But... I don't remember most of my life," Jimin whispered. He couldn't understand how Hoseok was supposed to be one of his best friends but still didn't believe him. Was this really this unbelievable? "He must be lying about his soulmate. He must've told a lie so he could debut. That makes a lot of sense, actually."
Hoseok let out a quiet sigh and scooted closer so he could pull Jimin into a hug. “I’m pretty sure he’s not lying about that,” he said and pressed a soft kiss to Jimin’s temple. They must’ve hugged like this a million times since Jimin’s body instantly relaxed, his heart recognising the familiar comfort that his brain didn’t. “But we’ll figure it out.”
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
The next few weeks Jimin spent both researching and coming up with a masterplan. His research consisted of just trying to find out whether there had been cases where someone had two soulmates or anything that sounded like his own situation. Apparently, there had been people with multiple soulmates but there wasn't enough information about them for Jimin to know what he was supposed to do. He also ended up finding out more about why companies started to not allow anyone to debut unless they had met their soulmate. There was a quite large group of people who posted on SNS about how they were soulmates with celebrities and other idols. At first, Jimin felt like he had found the perfect place for him until he realised that most of these people were lying and simply trying to blackmail companies into letting them meet a certain idol. He couldn't believe that someone would make up such a lie, but then again fans could be quite desperate.
So he really did need a masterplan to meet Taehyung. He couldn't just waltz into the BigHit building and he couldn't walk around announcing that he was V's soulmate, that would only get him into trouble possibly. He needed to get close to Taehyung in a more natural way if you could call it that. Now Jimin was lucky for multiple reasons. One, he was friends with Hoseok who happened to be one of Taehyung's choreographers. Two, BigHit was currently holding auditions for backup dancers for V's upcoming tour. Three, Jimin was a very good dancer. So he begged Hoseok to get him into one of those auditions, positive that he would get in if he was just given a chance. Thankfully, Hoseok had made use of his connections and gotten Jimin an audition spot - but now that it was actually time for Jimin to leave for the audition, his best friend was having doubts.
“Are you sure about this?” Hoseok asked as he was watching Jimin decide on what shirt he wanted to wear.
Jimin almost snorted. “Am I sure about wanting to meet my soulmate? Definitely. Plus, I wanted to audition for that company anyway.”
“I just… We don’t know what’s going to happen if you do meet Taehyung eventually. He might lose his memory, which- He has so many important things to remember.” His best friend frowned. “Wouldn’t it be selfish to risk that? Just because you want to know the truth?”
At this, Jimin actually paused, turning around to send Hoseok a betrayed look. “Why is me wanting to meet my soulmate selfish? He is the one person the universe wants me to be with. Isn’t it more selfish to keep it to myself and not let him know that we’re meant to be? Don’t you think he would want to know?”
“But he already has a soulmate. His name is Min Yoongi and he’s a producer at-”
“I know that,” Jimin interrupted him quickly. “Don’t you think I know that? I have no idea why the universe did this to me or to him, but he deserves to know. There might be a possibility that he’s my soulmate but I am not his. I’ve thought about it. But I can’t know without meeting him. Believe me, I’m trying to think of a way to make him believe me without just straight up making him look at me. But first I need to even get close enough to have him hear me out.”
Hoseok nodded slowly and furrowed his brows. “Yeah, okay. I’m sorry, I don’t mean to be unsupportive, I just can’t tell what’s right or wrong in this situation. I don’t want you to be blamed for anything.”
Jimin sent him a small smile. “I suppose, you can’t know what I feel like because you haven’t met your soulmate yet. You don’t feel this- this pulling in your chest.”
“No.” Hoseok shook his head. “I guess, I don’t.”
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
Miraculously, Jimin got hired as part of Kim Taehyung's dancer ensemble. Of course, he had had faith in his talent and known he was good enough - still, a part of him had been scared the fates would turn against him. But that hadn't happened and now the universe had helped him get one step closer to his soulmate. Jimin was internally thankful to whoever was watching over him.
"You're new right?" The young man who was doing his stretches next to Jimin at their first official rehearsal sent him a questioning look.
Jimin hesitated. "Aren't we all new here?"
"No, most of us were part of Taehyung's old crew." The man laughed reaching out to shake Jimin's hand. "I'm Jeon Jeongguk."
"Park Jimin." He hesitantly looked around the room. "I'm not like intruding on some kind of group dynamic, am I?"
Jeongguk waved him off. "Nah, you're fine. If you need help with catching up on old choreographies, I can help you as well. "
Jimin was about to thank him when everyone got up and started lining up. "What's happening?"
The other man only laughed and pulled Jimin up as well. "He likes to check up on us from time to time," he replied, only making Jimin even more confused. Who? It couldn't be-
Jimin's eyes widened when he saw Taehyung entering the room. He had expected to meet the man eventually, now that he was one of his backup dancers, but he hadn't expected it to happen so soon.
Oh god. What was he supposed to do now?
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
Taehyung clapped his hands together in excitement as he looked at the group of backup dancers that had been hired for his upcoming tour. He had been a little sad that he wasn't able to keep all of the dancers he had worked with before, but he was sure that the new ones were just as talented.
He hadn't meant to interrupt their rehearsal but of course, they had noticed him fairly quickly and ended up lining up. He shook his head, laughing. "I just wanted to see how you guys were doing on your first day. You can go back to your stretches." He couldn't help but let his eyes wander, looking at everyone's face to see who he remembered and who was new.
That was until he made eye contact with the gorgeous man who was standing next to Jeongguk. He couldn't help but gasp for breath, as he felt his memories seeping out of his brain. He knew the feeling all too well, had felt the exact same when he had met Yoongi four years ago. No, it couldn't be... He could still remember Yoongi, which meant...
Except that was the only thing he remembered. Yoongi.
Feeling the panic creeping up his back, he quickly excused himself from whoever was standing next to him and left the room, following the signs leading to the closest restroom.
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
Jeongguk only frowned for a second after they watched Taehyung storm out of the room before he went back to stretching his legs. When Jimin didn't immediately follow, he sent him a confused look. "You okay?"
Jimin hesitated. "I think I just met my soulmate."
"Very funny." Jeongguk snorted and shook his head. "I mean, I do agree, he's amazing and pretty handsome."
"No, I-" Jimin started stretching his thighs again. "Can you keep a secret?"
"Sure," Jeongguk replied but looked at him sceptically.
"I didn't intend on auditioning for this job but when I watched a live stream of him, my brain did the soulmate thing. You know, the memory erasing thing," Jimin explained as quietly as he could, hoping no one else was listening in. It was already risky enough to tell Jeongguk when he hadn't talked to Taehyung yet but he couldn't help himself. "I wasn't sure whether I'm his soulmate too but why else would he run out of here after looking at me?"
Jeongguk cocked his head. "He already has a soulmate."
"I know," Jimin mumbled. "And he's an idol and that we even managed to lock eyes through a screen is crazy as well. I know how crazy it sounds, but I swear I'm not lying."
"I see." Jeongguk quietly watched him for a second, before he started grinning. "Do you want to know why BigHit Music started to have the rule stating that you can't debut before you met your soulmate?"
"Because it makes sense?"
"Well, yeah, but initially their company was pretty small, so they thought 'what are the odds?' and just focused on debuting good artists." Jeongguk pressed his lips together, trying to suppress the bright smile on his face. "Have you heard of RM?"
Jimin nodded quickly. "Yeah, he's a rapper under BigHit, right?"
"He's my soulmate." Jeongguk let out a giggle when Jimin's eyes widened in surprise. "I was at one of his first concerts, front row and all. We locked eyes and boom, he had to stop his concert because everything was gone. After that, BigHit figured better be safe than sorry. It also made it easier for me to get a job here because they didn't have to worry about me meeting my soulmate and forgetting the choreographies."
"Makes sense, yeah," Jimin replied. Except apparently, you could have multiple soulmates and no matter how small the odds were, BigHit would have to deal with this chaos once again.
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
"Breathe, baby." Yoongi's voice was calm on the other end of the line. "Tell me what happened. I'm on my way to you."
Taehyung was curled up in the corner of the restroom, very glad that no one had followed him or even tried to come in. "I don't know. I forgot. I don't even know- All I remember is you."
Yoongi stayed silent for a few seconds. "You forgot?"
"I was in a practice room I think and he- I was looking at him and- I just- He's so unbelievably beautiful, I don't-" Taehyung couldn't help but stumble over his words, not able to form a full sentence.
"Who?"
"My soulmate, I think," Taehyung whispered. "It doesn't make sense but I think he is."
Yoongi let out a low hum. "Which restroom are you in?"
"I don't know."
"Don't worry, I'll find you."
Thankfully, Yoongi did find him within the next few minutes and ended up joining him in the corner, hugging him close. Taehyung let out a big sigh and buried his face in Yoongi's chest. "I don't know what to do or think, I just. I don't even know myself anymore, I don't remember this feeling so bad the first time."
"Well, considering you don't remember anything right now," Yoongi replied with a quiet laugh, but quickly pressed a kiss to Taehyung's head when he pouted at him. "I'm sorry, I don't think there's much we can do. You really can't remember anything but me?"
"I remember everything we've ever done together, but-" Taehyung frowned as he tried accessing his other memories. His brain felt all foggy but the more he tried the more he felt like he could almost touch his memories. It was like he knew there was something but he couldn't quite reach it. "I just- it feels different than the first time, I think. Worse and better at the same time."
Yoongi nodded and ran his fingers through Taehyung's hair for a few seconds. "Let's get you home, yeah? Or do you want to talk to the- your soulmate?"
Taehyung pursed his lips. He knew he would need to talk to the man or else they'd never find out what the hell was happening, but right now he didn't feel like he had the strength to do that. "No, I- you're still my soulmate, too, right?"
"Of course, love." Yoongi pressed a kiss to his boyfriend's forehead. "Let's go home."
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
"Should I call Namjoon and ask him if he knows anything about multiple soulmates?" Yoongi asked quietly when they were cuddling on their sofa. Even though Taehyung had all of his limbs wrapped around his soulmate, he still felt like he wasn't close enough, like something was missing. He had an inkling to what that could be, but it still scared him quite a bit.
"Call Seokjin hyung," he replied, his cheek squished against Yoongi's shoulder. "He has all these books about soulmate lore, remember?"
"Yeah, plus he's old and wise." Yoongi giggled, before stopping abruptly. "Wait how do you remember?"
Taehyung blinked. "I don't know. Maybe the second time the memory doesn't get erased permanently?"
"Possible." Yoongi nodded and grabbed his phone so he could call his best friend.
"Yello."
"Hyung." Yoongi tried to sit up a little straighter but failed since Taehyung was pretty much attached to him now. "I need to ask you something about soulmates."
"Trouble in paradise, eh?"
Taehyung snorted. "You're on speaker, hyung."
"You know I was just joking," Seokjin replied with a laugh. "What's up? What do you need to know?"
"Can you have multiple soulmates?" Yoongi asked, straight to the point.
"Well." Seokjin seemed to hesitate. "Do you mean that metaphorically or literally?"
Yoongi glanced at Taehyung. "Literally, I suppose."
"I've seen some mentions of it," Seokjin replied. "But I can't tell you much more, because a lot of times it was assumed that those people were lying and greedy."
"Greedy for what?" Taehyung asked, already upset at just the thought of these ignorant people. "For more love? It's not like we can choose who our soulmate is, how could we choose how many we have? And why would anyone lie about that?"
"I completely agree, Taehyung-ah. There's a lot about this soulmate thing that we don't know or can't possibly understand. Why are you asking about that anyway?"
Taehyung bit his lip. "I was meeting my new backup dancers today and when I locked eyes with one of them, I lost my memory. I could still remember Yoongi and since then my memory has been coming back slowly, but I still- He's my soulmate. I can feel that."
Seokjin hummed in thought. "Well, if you know, you know. Did you talk to him?"
"No, I kind of ran away."
"Understandable." Seokjin laughed softly and the fact that he was even believing Taehyung made him feel a lot better. "But I think you're gonna have to talk to him to figure this out. If it's any help, I don't think fate would make mistakes. He clearly is supposed to mean a lot to you and maybe it's even mutual."
"Thank you. I'll- I'll talk to him."
"And Yoongi, if I were you, I'd write down any important passwords, you don't want to forget."
Yoongi blinked. "What?"
Seokjin made a noise that sounded almost offended. "Come on, Yoongi. You and Taehyung are soulmates. Your soulmate's soulmate is probably also your soulmate. Your lives are intertwined already."
"I didn't think of it like that," Yoongi mumbled, his free hand absentmindedly running over Taehyung's back. "You really think that?"
"I'm pretty sure, yeah. But please keep me updated."
"Of course." They chatted for a few more minutes, Seokjin telling them about a hilarious encounter with his mother's neighbour before they hung up. Taehyung still felt like there was something missing to make him feel fully comfortable but he was more optimistic now. He'd make sure to catch his soulmate after practice tomorrow and maybe he had any idea what they were supposed to do that. Nevertheless, he couldn't help but hope that the three of them - Yoongi, him and the stranger - were all soulmates. Ever since he had met Yoongi his life had turned for the better and he had never spent a day feeling unloved, he imagined being able to love and be loved by two soulmates had to be even better.
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
"Hey, you. Care for a talk?" Jimin jumped when Taehyung was suddenly standing in his way. He had just finished today's practice - he was pretty sure he'd have most of V's older choreographies down by the end of the week - and he was about to leave to finally get home and have a nap. It seemed like that was not going to happen, though.
"Wh- Talk? You and me?" he asked, feeling a little overwhelmed. "I mean, yeah, of course. I'm not- uh, where?"
"I know a place." Taehyung smiled at the dancer who thankfully followed him without any complaints. The entire way up to Yoongi's studio, Taehyung thought of something to say to the man, but he somehow couldn't make any small talk. As expected, Yoongi wasn't in his studio, so they sat down on the black sofa in the corner and faced each other. "I think you know, why I want to talk to you."
"We're soulmates," Jimin replied, looking directly at Taehyung to see whether he was going to deny it but of course he didn't. "And before you say anything. I know about you and your soulmate and I don't want to come between you two. I don't know how this could all happen. I was just watching a live stream of yours and you looked at the camera and I just- I'm so sorry to complicate things. I never-"
"Hey, hey, slow down." Taehyung reached out to grab Jimin's hand and didn't even flinch when a bolt of electricity shot through their arms. "I don't even know your name. Let's start at that, yeah?"
Jimin could feel his face heat up. "Park Jimin," he said, his voice shaking a little. "I'm your age and I'm, uh, I'm a friend of Jung Hoseok. I think you know him."
"I do, I do." Taehyung nodded with a bright smile. "Park Jimin-ssi, it's so nice to meet you. I can already tell that the universe blessed me by making you my soulmate."
"But your soulmate-"
"Yoongi is my soulmate, as well," Taehyung explained. "I probably don't know more about all of this than you do. We'll have to figure things out together. But I do believe you're my soulmate since you pretty much let me forget almost all of my memories yesterday."
Jimin frowned slightly. "I am so sorry about that, I didn't- I mean I did audition so that I could meet you and talk to you but I didn't mean to spring this at you."
"Don't be sorry." Taehyung squeezed his hand. "We'll be fine. My memory is already coming back, it seems like meeting your second soulmate doesn't mess your memories up permanently."
"Oh." Jimin nodded. He honestly didn't know what to say. He had thought of a few questions he wanted to ask Taehyung, a few things they needed to discuss, but he couldn't remember any of them right now.
It was right then that the door to the studio opened and a man walked in. Now, Jimin hadn't looked for any pictures of Taehyung's soulmate because he had already felt guilty enough and he didn't want to make himself feel even worse. He had just enough time to think that this man was incredibly handsome, before they locked eyes and Jimin's brain got wiped clean again.
Taehyung let out a gasp when Jimin froze up next to him, while Yoongi kept standing in the doorway, his hand gripping the door handle. "Hyung, I thought you were going home?"
His soulmate blinked. "I don't know."
"Oh right." Taehyung couldn't help but let out a giggle as he got up to close the door and lead Yoongi to the sofa. "Yoongi hyung, may I introduce you to our soulmate. Jimin, this is Yoongi."
Jimin gave Yoongi a weak smile. "I'd tell you about me but I don't remember much."
"Yeah, same."
"It'll come back," Taehyung said with a laugh and patted both of their legs. "Isn't this great?"
"My chest hurts." Jimin grimaced and pressed a hand to his sternum. "I feel like I can't breathe."
"No, no, you can, deep breaths." Taehyung sat down next to Jimin and gently wrapped his arms around him. "That's your soulbond. We can feel it, too." He waved Yoongi closer so that the two of them could both sandwich Jimin between them. "You'll get used to that feeling. Or maybe it's just overwhelming because we're both here."
"Yeah," Jimin whispered, his breathing still a little quick. Taehyung couldn't help but notice that the feeling of missing something was finally seeping away. Being with just Yoongi had never felt wrong, not at all, but this was... perfect.
Yoongi seemed to be thinking something similar as they looked at each other over Jimin's head. "Does us holding you make it better? Or do you need space?"
"No, no, I- this is good. I just-" Jimin let out a sigh. "I don't know where I fit in with you guys."
"Well, Taehyung and I are boyfriends," Yoongi said. "But we're not going to force you into anything. We'll just go with what seems right, okay? We can just be friends as well."
Jimin stayed silent for a few seconds, mulling it over. "Is it too early to say I don't want to be friends?" He glanced between his two soulmates. "I just- I waited all my life to meet my soulmate and I wanted to- I know I can't know whether this is going to work out, especially because you two have been together for so long already and I might not fit in but- I wanna give it a try. Can we give it a try?"
Taehyung looked at Yoongi who was already smiling at him. "Yeah, definitely," he replied with a giggle. "Ah, this is already so exciting. I haven't started a new relationship in so long-"
"I am choosing to take this as a compliment," Yoongi interrupted him, reaching out to pinch his waist.
Jimin turned his head to look at Taehyung, studying the face he had stared at in pictures for a few weeks now. His soulmate. Right in front of him. "Can I kiss you?" He could see Taehyung's eyes starting to twinkle as he leaned in.
"Yeah," Taehyung whispered and pressed their lips together.
Jimin could feel his whole body starting to tingle, which made him giggle into the kiss. When they pulled away, Yoongi was looking at them with the sweetest smile on his face that made Jimin's heart skip a beat. "You wanna kiss me too?"
Yoongi cupped his face. "I'd love to."
❀⊱┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄┄⊰❀
4 months later
"Bye, I love you!" Taehyung shouted into the microphone, waving at the crowd as the platform he was standing on was lowered. Jimin who had left the stage a few moments earlier was waiting for him with a bright grin on his face. There was nothing like the high you got from performing in front of a stadium full of fans. Even if those people were fans of his soulmate and not him personally.
"You did so great," Jimin said when he pulled Taehyung into a hug, pressing kisses all over his face.
Taehyung giggled. "You too."
Jimin pulled him in for a proper kiss, the two of them forgetting for a moment that there was staff bustling around them. "Hm, I love working with my boyfriend." After one more kiss, they finally made their way back to their dressing rooms, changing into casual clothes and wiping off most of their makeup.
As always Jimin got to drive back in the car that drove Taehyung to the hotel, which was definitely a soulmate perk. During the ride, Taehyung almost fell asleep as they discussed what movie they could watch before they inevitably would fall asleep. Performing every night really put them to sleep pretty early, which at least gave them less time to miss Yoongi who was held back in Seoul because of his job.
"I think I'll actually stay up for an entire hour," Jimin said as they got into the elevator at the hotel.
Taehyung hummed and draped himself over Jimin's back. "I don't think I'll make it that long." Gently, he jumped up, making his soulmate carry him on his back.
Jimin only laughed and grabbed Taehyung's legs and wrapped them around his waist. "I see how it is." The two of them were giggling when they stepped out of the elevator, only to immediately go quiet when they saw Yoongi waiting in front of their room.
Their soulmate sent them a smug smile. "Surprise?"
"Hyung!" Jimin rushed over to Yoongi with Taehyung still on his back. "You're here!"
"I am." Grinning, Yoongi first pressed a kiss to Jimin's lips, before leaning forward to give Taehyung a peck as well. "How was the show?"
"Really good. Taehyungie was amazing," Jimin said, handing Yoongi the keycard to their room so he could open it.
"Of course, he was," Yoongi replied, holding the door open for them. "I'm sure you were too, Jimin-ah."
Jimin let Taehyung fall on their bed, before crawling on top of the mattress as well. As soon as he laid down, he could feel the exhaustion coming over him.
Yoongi laughed and squeezed himself between his soulmates. "Well, aren't you two a fun pair?"
"We just spent hours performing, fuck off," Taehyung mumbled as he threw a leg over Yoongi, his toes nudging Jimin on the other side.
"Glad you're here, though," Jimin added, scooting a little closer. "Can't you just stay for the rest of the tour?"
Yoongi hummed, the pain from his soulbond in his chest finally easing, now that he was finally with his soulmates again. "I wish I could. But I promise I'll try to visit more often."
