Chapter Text
The ride on the elevator was long. Longer than they had anticipated. Steel looked around and was rather confused. There weren't many ELMC soldiers. That much was true, but there should be more resistance on their way up through the elevator.
"Something's wrong." Steel mumbled, "There should be more resistance."
Mu decided to scan around and said, "I see nothing. I'm not catching anything."
"Wait a sec." Laura scanned herself, but before she could, a bullet stopped right in front of her face, "Ah!"
More bullets stopped around them and Lucy pushed her arms outward to send the bullets around.
"They're all over!"
A large army of ELMC soldiers stood on the platforms around them as they rode the elevator up.
"Spoke too soon I see." Laura growled.
"It would happen anyway."
"Get ready!" Laura shouted.
Both her and Sifu raised cover for everyone as the barrage of bullets came their way.
Meanwhile, Tridon and Sayori hadn't even charged at each other yet. They just stared at one another. They didn't do anything.
Sayori watched from her mind and wanted to drop her fighting stance and hug him, but she wasn't in control. She could just watch the tenseness of the situation. She then felt her body move and charge at Tridon.
Tridon dodged a narrow kick from Sayori and swung the blunt end of his sword. He continued doing so with each hit being blocked with ease by her.
Sayori did the same, but Tridon only dodged. He didn't want her to break his swords, nor did he want her to get hurt from punching his swords. He didn't want to strike her either, but he had no way to figure out how to break her of the mind control.
"Sayori, I want you to stop this." Tridon didn't yell. He spoke sincerely. Yelling wouldn't get that tone through. He wanted to softly talk to her. Just like he had done before, "I know you're in there. I know my adorable, sex-crazed, wonderful wife is still in there. I know you are."
"Tridon..." Sayori said while watching him, "I want to, but I can't."
"I don't want to hurt you. I need to know what's preventing you from fighting back." Tridon blew a gust of wind from his mouth to give himself room, "I'll save you. Even if it kills me."
On the elevator platform, they were bombarded by the attacking ELMC. Laura noticed that they were even really targeting them. They aimed for the platform. They had plans to destroy the platform rather than stop them.
"I have to go into my Cosmic Form." Laura mouthed, "They're gonna destroy the platform." Laura quickly took her Cosmic Form and flew towards them. She shot several beams at the platforms and destroyed them.
Sifu thrusted his arms forward before balling up his fist. Several platforms were crushed along with the soldiers. Lucy teleported around each platform to kill other ELMC soldiers. Lola also provided cover for everyone by using her forcefield.
"I feel so useless without powers..." Monika uttered while watching them.
"I feel even more useless since I'm still not fully recovered." Jen winced while putting her rife down.
"Taking a war against enigmas was a mistake." Steel added, "I knew it was, but I joined anyway. I joined initially to stop the CLF, but it became more than that to White and everyone else."
"You should've quit while you were ahead." Wei crossed get arms and said, "You should've joined the FAC. We accepted everyone. No matter what they were."
"Tridon might not have wanted to join, but he helped build the foundation for it." Jen added, "So if you wanted a place to battle corrupt enigmas, then the FAC was the place to go."
"No use dwelling on that now." Yuri interrupted, "We just let the enigmas here do the work."
"I wonder how Tridon is dealing with Sayori." Natsuki mumbled to herself, "It worries me every second we're on this platform."
Tridon jumped back as Sayori punched the ground he jumped away from, creating a large crater. He continued doing so and let her get close. He wanted to scan her to see what was controlling her.
Tridon then realized he wouldn't get an accurate reading if he didn't let himself get hit. So for Sayori's next barrage of attacks, he dropped his guard and was beaten senselessly by Sayori.
"No!" Sayori shouted, "Why did he drop his guard? Is he crazy? Tridon! Sweetie!"
That 'Sweetie' echoed in Tridon's ears as he stared at Sayori. He looked into her eyes and noticed the real Sayori in them. Tridon deflected one of the Sayori's attacks and kicked her back.
"You're in there." Tridon smiled and said, "There's only one way for you to fight back." Tridon put his sword away and went out of his Divine Form. He fell to his knees and spread his arms, "Come on."
Sayori watched him give his body up and she could only have tears form in her eyes. She knew what he was doing. She wanted to let himself get hurt so that she could fight back. She didn't want to see him hurt. Not anymore.
Sayori watched her body beat Tridon into the ground and he gave no resistance. She watched him hurt himself for her and she hated every second of it. She wanted to fight back. She didn't want to see herself beat him. She wanted to hold him. She wanted him to hold her. She wanted them to embrace each other.
Her body went in for an attack, but they stopped. Tridon watched this and used this moment to grab her body's wrist and make it as straight as possible. He positioned it in front of his abdomen.
"Just one little bit of motivation." Tridon then stabbed himself with Sayori's hand and spat out some blood, "Just a bit more..."
"No! Stop!" Sayori finally shouted, "Stop Tridon!" Tridon looked at Sayori and she stared at him, "Please..."
"My plan worked." Tridon ripped Sayori's hand out from his chest and he backed up, "You're here again."
Sayori looked at her own body and realized that she indeed was in control again. She looked up at Tridon and saw his wounds healing themselves.
"I have a stupidly insane healing factor."
"I-I have control."
"If there's one thing I know that motivates you," Tridon stepped forward and caressed Sayori's face, "it's preventing any pain from coming to me."
"I..."
"Impressive." James called out, "You managed to break her free of her mind control. I was hoping this would happen while you two were alone. Now you can face your past demons."
The both of them turned around to see a couple of bodies rise from the ground. Tridon and Sayori prepared themselves as they saw Robert along with themselves.
"Well, no better demons than your ownselves." Tridon looked down at Sayori and smiled at her, "But we've dealt with those demons before. Together, nothing can stop us."
"Right. We're together once again. Right, sweetie?"
"Got that right, babe." Tridon put his sword in front of Sayori and said, "Care to look like my swords?"
"With pleasure." Sayori touched his sword and snickered, "I feel like this is an innuendo."
"Eh."
"Oh well. Let's face these past demons of ours."
"Yeah."
Laura landed back onto the platform as it approached the top. She stared at the their destination and couldn't help but psyche herself up for her final fight.
Once it stopped, they looked at the pair of glass doors between them and James. Laura stepped forward and placed her hand on the door.
"Are you ready Laura?" Mu wondered, "Hm?"
"Everything that we've fought for was for this very moment. I can't back down now. I have to take him down." Laura faced everyone and said, "I'm so grateful to all of you. You didn't have to fight with me as your leader. You didn't have to, but you did. We wouldn't be here if I lacked your support thank you."
"Save the sappy stuff for later Laura." Natsuki laughed, "Right now, let's finish this war and kill James White."
"Right!"
They ran inside to see James standing in the middle. They rushed in to see him alone. No protection. Nothing. He was alone.
"I would say I'm surprised, but with who you are, I guess I shouldn't be." James finally turned around and smirked devilishly, "I knew you would make it here eventually. It was only a matter of time." James snapped his fingers and a large group of ELMC soldiers appeared out of nowhere and surrounded them all.
"I should've seen all these guards." Mu growled to herself, "I'm sorry Laura."
"You know, she's a real interesting girl." James set his eyes on Mu and smiled, "An ability that allows someone to see past everything for over several hundred yards and more. Now that's an interesting ability."
Mu stepped back as everyone shielded her, "You aren't laying a hand on her." Laura stepped forward and said, "I'm who you want, right? Then leave them out of it."
"I'm afraid I can't. They've all been a thorn in my side for so long. All of you were suppose to die in Ireland, Ukraine, London, Cairo, everywhere you've been. You were suppose to have been killed, but some bullshit always got you lot through." James turned around and sighed, "But now I have you all where I want you. I can take you all out and capture that woman there. Laura, you're all I need. For the others," he looked at his soldiers and ordered, "kill 'em."
"Grah!" Laura dashed forward and jammed her fists into James's chest and pushed him back. As she did so, they disappeared instantly. Causing everyone to freeze in shock at what just happened.
Laura and James appeared again in somewhere else unknown to them. James was launched back and looked around when he stabilized himself.
"What the hell? The hell did you do?!" He then stepped back when he saw Laura. Her eyes were straight white and glowing. Her body was now just a cosmic being that stared daggers into him, "Is this... the true form of the Cosmos?"
"You have have caused much suffering to those around you. From the very beginning, you had planned everything. You had planned so much suffering for people."
"I was going to make sure that humans reigned supreme. I wasn't going to let a bunch of abominations like enigmas ruin that."
"You failed to see the pain you caused not only enigmas, but the humans you aimed to protect. You failed to see reasoning, and you will now pay with a thousand deaths."
"Fuck you!" James blew out a large flame at Laura, but she absorbed it and she walked towards James. He stumbled back and tried to attack her with more flames, "Stop! Step back!" He then moved to large boulders, "Get back!"
She then grabbed him and teleported them away again to the Statue of Liberty. She slammed him into the head of the statue, and completely destroyed it. She teleported again, this time, to slam him into the Roman Colosseum.
James then grabbed her and snapped his fingers. They were teleported to a barren wasteland unknown to the two of them. Laura stepped back in shock.
"I made one perfect sample. One that even recreates Tridon's old power. I hold just as much power as you. No matter what you do, I can counter it."
Laura stared at James and growled, "That doesn't matter. Nothing can surpass the Alpha Enigma. Nothing!" Laura's hand turned to ice and she tried to punch James, but he blocked it.
"Face it Laura. I am engineered to be the best! I can top even you!"
"Gah!" Laura shot a beam of plasma from her mouth and moved to CQC against James.
"How do I take him out? There has to be a way to cancel out his powers."
Tridon and Sayori fought back to back against Robert and their copies. Tridon threw his copy against the wall, but was decked in the face by the Robert copy.
Sayori fought off her own copy and the two were on par with one another. Sayori and her copy both grabbed each other by their wrists and glared into each others eyes.
"Sayori," Tridon called out as he threw Robert off to the side and kicked his copy back, "I need to take my Divine Form."
"Tridon, I've seen what it does to you. You get tired from it and you haven't been cleansed yet. It's too risky."
"A risk I'm willing to take." A yellow hue exploded off of Tridon as he took his Divine Form, "I'll handle this." Tridon quickly took care of both the Robert and Sayori double until he looked at himself. He moved in for the attack, but as soon as he did so, the double took on its own Form and block Tridon's attack, "What?!"
"No way..."
They both stared as Tridon body double look similar to Tridon's Divine Form, only except its armor was blue and white. Tridon stepped back in shock. This final clone of himself was a perfected one. Perfected enough to see the Divine Form on this double.
"I'm gonna need you here Sayori."
"I'm always here for you Tridon. You know that."
"Good because this is gonna be one helluva fight."
Meanwhile, the group left behind took care of the guards that appeared and they looked around in confusion.
"Could she always teleport like that?" Monika wondered, "I mean, I guess Tridon's old power could do that, but she did it at will."
"I've never seen anything like that before." Mu uttered to herself, "The secrets behind the Alpha Enigma truly does make you wonder."
"What do we do now?" Yuri quickly asked, "We can't do much."
"Just wait. Wait and see when Laura will be back."
Laura formed dual ice blades and moved into attack James, but he would just slice the ice blades in half with his own fire blades. Laura couldn't find a way to stop him.
Everything she tried was countered. Relying on her own genetics wasn't going to get her anywhere. She had to think of a way to take out James once and for all.
Laura watched James and noticed that he wasn't even growing fatigued from his constant use of his powers. Laura stood dumbfounded as he should be near death at this point.
"Surprised I'm not like that man you love so much."
"Huh?"
"I perfected my own serum even more than Tridon. I could take Tridon out no problem, but I had to be able to be on par with you. So that included regulating my own plasma intake. So now, I can use my powers as I please just like you."
"So if anyone would rule the US with an iron fist, it would be you. Because nobody could surpass you in any shape or form."
"Everyone except the Alpha Enigma. You need to understand Laura. I'm doing this for the greater good. You fail to see the vision that I present in front of you."
"What vision? A vision of destruction? A place where everyone isn't treated equally."
"Open your eyes Laura. You're blinded by whatever that fake enigma tells you. People haven't been treated equally for over a millennia! Treating you enigmas like trash is no different from how woman or any other race has been treated. You need to understand that what I'm doing is just history willing to repeat itself. Nothing you do now will change that. There will always be inequality."
"No."
"Think about it. You kill me and what? The inequality will still exist. Even between enigmas themselves. Inequality is just part of nature."
"No! I will prove to you that equality can exist. I will create a place where enigmas can live free of that inequality. Where they can see their human partners and not have to worry about glaring eyes or rude comments. I will create a place where enigmas can live without fear!"
"We'll see if such a fantasy can come true. Like your dream of being with Tridon."
"Shut up!" Laura roared as a plasma beam shot from her mouth that James narrowly dodged. She continued firing plasma beams at him that he continued dodging. She was losing it. She was frustrated beyond belief.
She wanted to take him out, but he knew what to say to throw her off. She usually knows how to keep her cool, but she just couldn't at that moment. She didn't know why. Then it clicked. Tridon wasn't with her. The one person she looked to for support.
Last year when she was first hired, she had a talk with Tridon after her first day of working for his company. Tridon called her to his office and she was afraid. That whole day didn't really go too well for her.
She misplaced certain stories and final drafts. Spilled coffee on Yuri's computer and on Tridon himself. She was a complete mess. Her plan was to get closer to Tridon, but she was way too nervous to do so. She had never interacted with anyone really before then and being around the man who would need to procreate with her made her nervous.
Once everyone had clocked out, Laura went to go see Tridon after she had clocked out after he told her to see him after her shift. When she walked inside, he saw him with Yuri. She shyly waved and Tridon ushered her to sit in front of him.
"Yuri, leave us alone for a sec."
"Of course."
Once Yuri left, Tridon stared at Laura, "Now, I know you're nervous working here. Especially on your first day. We work fast and I can understand why that would throw you off, but you had a lot of mistakes today."
"I-I'm sorry. It's just been nerve wracking being here."
"Care to talk about anything to help you ease into the company? Anything at all?"
"It's just that you and the everyone else here have known each for such a long time while I'm the new girl in the company. I just feel out of place."
"That doesn't mean you can't try and include yourself. Remember Laura, we're welcoming people. It doesn't matter who you are. Whether you're a human or enigma. We accept you here."
"I-I..."
"Laura, if you have any problem, don't be afraid to talk to us. Don't be afraid to talk to me. I'll be there for you always."
That last sentenced echoed through her mind. He would always be there for her and he has. No matter what. He's been there for her through thick and thin. She knows that.
"The best you can do Laura when you feel weird is to calm down and remember your goal."
Tridon stared at his double and he could see that his double was close to disappearing. Tridon smirked and dashed forward. When it seemed he would block the double's attack, he dropped his blade and allowed himself to get stabbed.
"Tridon!"
"Don't worry." Tridon stared at his double and could see all of his past sins. He chuckled and put his hand on their face, "I accept my past sins. It's all I can do. I accept them and I have to learn from them. That's all I can do." Tridon closed his eyes and uttered, "Divine Blast." A bright flash shot from his hand that blinded Sayori and...
Laura stared at James and stood straight. She took some deep breaths in and out as she drew a circle with her fingers.
"Calm down and remember your goal." Laura closed her eye and continued tracing a circle.
"What is she doing?" James wondered, "Bah." James dashed forward to attack but as he was just a few inches from her, he froze in time. He looked on in confusion. He moved to snap his fingers, but Laura grabbed his hands to stop him.
"There is a way to beat your bootlegged power." They teleported once again, but this time, into the cosmos. They floated as they were surrounded by the purple and dark hue of the cosmos. Distant stars filled their vision as Laura said, "My powers are those beyond our reality. Yours is nothing but a cheap bootleg that can only work in our reality. I take you to a different one, then they become nothing but a distant memory."
"N-No! I am the all powerful! Nothing can stop-." Laura thrusted her hand through James and pulled out his heart, "Gah!"
"I am the Alpha Enigma. I am the only powerful being in every known reality. Nothing can top me. I am truly unstoppable." Laura watched James's body float off as she held his heart in her hand, "Our war is over."
Laura slowly started to appear with everyone else as her Cosmic Form dissipated. She stared at the heart and threw it to the ground as she shifted her gaze to everyone in the room. She smiled and nodded.
"It's over..."
"Really?" They chorus.
"Yes. He's gone. Finally." Laura looked around and asked, "Where's Tridon and Sayori."
"Still at the bottom of the platform." Monika answered, "We haven't really heard anything."
"Let's go see if he was able to free Sayori."
The group rode the platform back down and they saw Sayori sitting on the ground and Tridon using her lap as a pillow. She caressed his forehead as she turned her head to see the others.
"So you're back to normal?" Laura asked.
"Well, normal as in not under his control, then yeah." Sayori turned her attention back to Tridon who looked at Laura as she moved in front of them.
"So it's done?"
"It's done."
"Nice. I knew you could do it." Tridon held out his fist and Laura fist bumped him, "So it's over?" Tridon slowly sat up and was helped up by Sayori, "Like, for real this time?"
"Yeah."
"It's good to have you back Sayori!" Natsuki tackled Sayori for a hug which made her drop Tridon on the ground.
"Sayori..." Monika groaned.
"I got him." Mu picked up Tridon and said, "You need a cleanse don't you?"
"A lot a bit. Yeah."
"So what do we now that this is all over?" Sayori asked while holding Natsuki, "James is finally dead. With that, the ELMC will surely crumble. The war will finally be over."
"Rebuild." Tridon answered, "Many parts of world have been destroyed during this war. The best we can do now is rebuild and figure out what to do for enigmas."
"Any ideas?"
"A place where they can live without fear." Laura suggested.
"What?" Everyone word in unison.
"We can create our own place away from everyone. Create it from the Earth. There, enigmas and any humans who wish to come can live there without fear of inequality. Eden-8 is fine, but we can't live underground. We need our own place. Our own country. We can call it: New Eden."
"That's not a bad idea." Tridon agreed, "It's possible. While the world rebuilds, we can spend time creating this country. How about it?"
"I'm down." Sayori agreed, "I'm 100% on board with that."
"A place where inequality between humans and enigmas is nonexistent." Jen nodded, "Miria and I can lead the military there."
"Sifu and I can train some soldiers too!" Wei added, "We can be part of a super special security force."
"I'll be part of the security force as well." Lola joined in and sighed, "A place like this would be a blessing to exist. I hope it can come rather soon."
"I'll see it that this country has some connections to countries around the world." Steel offered, "A country can't thrive without proper trade and funding from other countries."
"Mu and I can personally continue protecting our leader." Rho smiled and moved next to Tridon, "Right Mu?"
"Of course. We will continue to give our lives for Tridon."
"That brings up a question for me." Everyone turned to Lucy as she asked, "Who's gonna lead this country?"
"The only person who can." Tridon turned to Laura and said, "Grand Leader and Alpha Enigma of New Eden: Laura."
"W-Wait..."
"It's only right." Sayori agreed, "You led us to this day that this war could finally end. It's only right."
"That brings up another question" Mu started, "Sayori..."
"I'll ask her." Laura stepped in front of Sayori and took her hand, "As the Alpha Enigma, I have to find the rightful person to procreate with. That person is Tridon."
Sayori stared at her and then to Tridon who avoided her gaze. Sayori then looked at Laura again. Natsuki backed up and let the two be.
Sayori snickered and said, "I know now that this idiot here is hard to watch on my own. Hell, watching him is bigger than a one-person job. I have a proposition for you Laura."
"Huh?"
Sayori stepped back and said, "It's quite obvious that a select few people here love him. 4 of them had a way of showing that love." Sayori eyed Monika, Natsuki, Yuri, and Jen who all avoided her gaze, "And I know Tridon just can't live with himself when those people aren't happy."
"What are you saying?"
Sayori smirked and opened her mouth.
Several months later, Laura woke up and sat up from an extravagant bed in a large master bedroom. She looked around and slowly got out of it.
"I see that you're awake." Laura jumped and turned to the doorway to see Tridon standing there. Tridon had blue jeans and a tank top on with normal sneakers, "Only a few hours until the coronation."
"I know. Do you know where the others are?"
"Natsuki is preparing food for the after-coronation dinner, Sayori is trying on her outfit for it, and everyone is securing the perimeter for the coronation."
"Alright then. I'll get ready in the mean time."
"What? No good morning kiss?"
"N-Not right now."
"Still getting used to the polygamy?"
"A little bit. Like, I know Sayori is still your number 1. It's just weird to know that you have both myself and her as wives with some of the others as mistresses."
"Since our government is a family run government, we have to make sure we have as many heirs and such. Nepotism is a real confusing thing."
"The whole fact that you have two wives and many other mistresses is a little..."
"I know it's hard to take in, but if you want your Alpha Enigma continued, then this is the solution. Sayori was nice enough to at least make you a wife and not a mistress like the others. I might be a strong enigma like you, but that woman still scares me. But I love her, so it balances out."
"Tridon."
"Yeah?"
"Can you clean yourself up?"
"Hm?"
"I'd rather not see you at the coronation dressed in something like that and all that dirt on your face?"
"Gah!" Tridon groaned, "Why can't someone love my facial hair for once?!" Tridon walked off leaving Laura alone.
She smiled and sighed, "I love you for sure, but that facial hair has needed to go for a long time."
Just an hour or so later, Laura looked at herself in a mirror. She wore a burgundy military uniform top and a navy blue skirt, stockings, and dress shoes. She tapped her foot while fixing her hair. She exhaled and inhaled repeatedly.
"Grand Leader," Yuri stepped in calling out to Laura, "it's time for you to head out to the ceremony."
"I know." Laura fixed her hair more and said, "I don't know if I'm ready."
"We're all here. Plus, you're newly wedded husband is there."
Laura chuckled and stood up to face Yuri, "That part is more surreal than this."
"Why do you say that?"
"As the Alpha Enigma, I just knew that I would have been in this sort of role. But marrying Tridon was something I've literally dreamed of. Being married to him, albeit with Sayori as his other wife along with you and the others being his mistresses, is a literal dream come true."
"How do you think we feel? We might not be like you or Sayori; we're still happy that we can receive his love." Yuri chuckled and spun around, "Let's head on out. Everyone else is waiting."
Laura and Yuri walked through the halls of the massive capitol building/mansion. They approached a room that had a velvet-embroidered double door. Standing on both ends were Sifu and Wei along with Jen and Miria who opened the doors for the two to walk through.
"Wow," Natsuki whistled as the two joined everyone, "lookin' fly Laura. Just like a true Grand Leader."
"The top is a little tight though." Laura said as she adjusted the uniform top.
"It's a uniform top," Monika started, "I would expect it to be."
"You look beautiful Laura." Mu commented, "Perfect for being Grand Leader."
"Thank you so much Mu. You all look great as part of the council. But uh, where is Tridon?"
"I'm not sure." Monika replied, "He was here earlier."
"Sorry!" Arthur shouted from behind everyone, "We wanted to make sure that Tridon looked proper for the ceremony."
Tridon stepped in after Arthur and the girls were all taken aback by his look. He was finally clean shaven. His hair short and styled in a quiff hairstyle. He had a uniform jacket similar to that of Laura's. He wore red dress pants and black dress shoes.
"Ta-da!" Sayori shouted as she stepped to his side, "Look at Laura and I's handsome husband!"
"You did a great job Sayori." Yuri cooed, "A great job."
"Don't get horny now." Sayori snickered, "We can have him please us after the ceremony." Sayori winked and walked forward with him, "So, Grand Leader, are we ready to step out and greet the people?"
"Yeah. Let's go." The large group stepped out onto a balcony where a large mass of people stood in at the base of the capitol.
Roars of cheers came from the crowd of people as everyone waved. Laura stepped forward where a podium and a microphone stood waiting for her. Next to it was Erica who smiled at her and let take the stand.
Laura took a deep breath and began, "My people! We have suffered for many, many years. We fought for our independence, and nobody listened to us. We wanted to feel equal to those we lived with. Nobody could see that were suffering. They thought that since we were enigmas that we were invincible. That weren't susceptible to prejudices. But we aren't."
Laura banged her fist on the podium and added, "We made sure that humans knew who we really are. We've earned their trust. We've earned the equality our ancestors have pushed for, and now we have a place for us enigmas and a few humans to live peacefully together. This begins a new era here in New Eden!"
The crowd erupted in cheers as Laura smiled brightly, "And as New Eden's Grand Leader, I will be sure to lead us on the right path. I will not allow such violence and bloodshed to ever happen again. I will keep control and ensure that we will never have to suffer again. With my friends, military leaders," Laura turned to Tridon who bowed to her and walked up next to her. Laura grasped his arm and smiled, "and my glorious husband, we will ensure that our future is fit for generations to come!"
Tridon smiled at Laura as she delivered her speech. However, he quickly jerked his head to the right and held his hand up. A bullet hovered in front of him, and he proceeded to crush it with his hands.
"We see 'em." Lola radioed in, "Taking them out."
Meanwhile, two people appeared on the balcony. Everyone pushed Laura back while Sayori stepped forward and turned her hands to stone along with Tridon taking out his swords.
"Hrah!" One of the people shouted as they charged forward. Rho hopped over the both of them and stopped time. She sliced the person in half and started time again. They dropped with their body sawed in half as the other one hesitated for a second.
They growled and charged again. However, when Tridon stood in their way, they froze in fear. Sayori punched their gut and grabbed their face before slamming them into the ground. Tridon stabbed his blade into their chest and popped his neck. He tore his blade out of their chest and wiped the blood on his military top.
"Aw." Sayori moaned, "I washed that last night."
"Sorry."
"This is your proof here!" Laura shouted, "We will not allow anyone to rob your new, peaceful way of life!"
The crowd roared with cheers while everyone joined around her and waved to the crowd.
Everyone walked back inside while Rho disposed of the bodies. Laura sighed deeply and collapsed onto the couch in the room.
"You okay?" Tridon asked as he sat next to Laura and embraced her.
"I am. Didn't expect that people would try to assassinate me the day of the ceremony. I don't even know how they got past. We need to get that checked out."
"Don't worry." Tridon rubbed her shoulders and said, "We're all here for you. We'll protect you and New Eden."
Laura smiled and turned to the girls, "I'm sorry girls, but I just love this man." Laura pressed her lips on Tridon, shocking everyone. She broke apart and said, "I can't wait to have a child with you."
"Hey!" Sayori moaned. She sat next to Tridon and nabbed his other arm, "I'm the original wife, so I get first dibs. Right babe?" Sayori traced her finger along Tridon's chest and winked.
"I know," Laura responded, "but I need to make sure he impregnates me. So I'll make sure he does that by spending all night with him."
Laura and Sayori smirked at one another as sparks of electricity shot from their eyes. They turned to Tridon and shouted, "Choose now Tridon!"
"Wait a second. I don't think I'm even ready for that yet. Plus, I thought we said that sex would only be done on special days."
"This is a special day!" They shout at him.
Tridon looked to the others and pleaded, "Can I get some help?"
"Help from your other mistresses?" Natsuki snickered.
"Oh god..."
"And that's how your New Eden's first ever Grand Leader fought to bring us the home we currently live in now." An older woman finalized as she closed a large book in front of a group of kids, "Any questions?"
A kid raised his hand and asked, "So how many wives and misstresses did he have?"
"Hard to say. No real confirmed number was said."
"Just count all of his friends." Another kid laughed, "A lot!"
A teenage boy watched from afar with a teenage girl next to him. The both of them had books in front of them and schoolwork.
"People really love coming here to relive Flames of War and the entire series." The girl chuckled, "Everyday, a new group is here."
"Well, it is about our first Grand Leader."
"Not to mention your multi-great-grandfather, right Orion?"
The boy, Orion, leaned on table, "Yeah."
"Do you think you can be like him?"
"What? How? The only way that could happen is if something as bad as what happened in that story were to take place. Besides, nobody really knows if any of that actually took place. It could've just been a folktale. You know, government propaganda."
"Why do you say that?"
"Well, my ancestor is the Great Tridon Pierce. But that's it. His wife that gave birth to my multi-great-grandmother was a human, not an enigma. While my sister is a descendant of both Tridon and our first Grand Leader, Laura. Which makes her the Alpha Enigma. I'm just-."
"Hey," the girl put her hand on Orion's and squeezed, "that shouldn't matter. Being a descendant is more than enough, right?"
"I guess." Orion chuckled and said, "My sister wouldn't really like it if she saw us holding hands like this Alice."
"Why? Doesn't your sister trust me?"
"She just says that I should focus on my studies and all of that. You know, stuff that a student council president is supposed to say."
"Well, she is right. We have this paper that needs to be done before tomorrow. We've been goofing off too much."
"Alright."
"Hey there, you two." Another female student started, "I didn't come late did I?"
"You're fine Iako," Orion laughed, "It was fine. We got to listen to the story."
"Ah the daily story time. Was it nice?
"About as nice as it was when it was read to us as children." Alice responded, "But since we're all here now, let's get to work."
"Sweet." Iako joined them and they began to start their homework.
-Epilogue-
"Tridon!" Sayori shouted as she stormed into his dressing room. She had a robe, pajamas underneath, and curls in her hair, "I thought I told you to get milk on the way back home! Look," Sayori turned a milk cartoon upside down and nothing came out, "it's empty!"
"Yeah well," Tridon was sitting on the couch in his dressing room with a newspaper up to his face, "sometimes, we have more important things to worry about than milk!" Tridon put down his paper to show himself in a wife beater and a bloated belly, "Besides, we could have milk if your bazingas weren't so small!"
"Ah!" Sayori dropped the milk cartoon and threw a plate at the wall behind him.
"Hey!"
"I knew this wouldn't work." Sayori walked over to Tridon and ripped the paper from his hands, "This would've only led to sadness."
"So you're saying we're done?"
"Yes." Sayori took off her ring and threw it at Tridon, "Take your ring because me and my size B boobs are out of here."
"Fine! Leave! I didn't need you anyway!"
Sayori stormed off past Laura, Monika, Yuri, and Natsuki.
"Uh," Laura started, "what just happened?"
"I think they had a lifetime relationship in a day." Monika explained.
"I'm quite surprised." Yuri added in shock, "I didn't think that was possible."
"But how is Sayori going to work on the other projects. She's devastated right now."
Sayori and Tridon both appeared in front of them still glaring at one another before the two smiled and hugged.
"Good luck on your future projects Sayori." Tridon said.
"Thanks. Good luck on whatever the future holds for you."
"So you wanna go hang out?"
"Sure."
They turned to the girls and Tridon asked, "What? We planned this out. Have a life's worth of a relationship in 1 day. When the finale was uploaded, we would end it there."
"So do you girls wanna hang out with us?"
"S-Sure." They chorused.
They all walked off except Laura so that she could say, "This has gotta be the weirdest epilogue we've ever filmed..."
