An American Ghost in Tokyo
A drip fell from the sky. The sound of it hitting the water chimed like a bell. She turned around to the origin of the sound. A girl knelt in a puddle of glowing, rippling water. Behind her was a glowing shadow figure. The girl looked up with tired glowing green eyes.
“I can't do this alone,” the girl said softly in an echoing voice.
“Who are you?” Sakura asked in confusion.
The girl was distracted by something Sakura couldn't see. Sakura tried to get closer, but the distance remained the same. Then the girl slowly stood up.
“Do you believe in ghosts?” the girl asked before flying into the darkness.
Sakura let out a gasp as she sat up in bed. She looked around seeing Kero sleeping in his bedroom drawer. He was snoring loudly despite being so tiny. She sighed as she realised that her dream was a warning about something that was coming.

Dani was lost. She didn't know where she was. She didn't even know the local language. She was also hungry. Someone ran passed her and sent her flying into a puddle. Letting out a sob she picked herself up. A hand appeared in her view. Looking up she saw a young woman with a short bob haircut. Dani took the offered hand and stood up.
“Thank you,” she said tiredly.
“Daijobu desu ka?” the other woman asked.
Dani blushed, “I'm sorry. I don't understand.”
The woman smiled, “English, yes?”
Dani smiled back, “Yes.”
“Do you need help?” the woman asked.
Dani felt a shiver and let out a breath of frozen air.
“Um, do you believe in ghosts?”
The woman's eyes widened, “Nani?”
Dani moved protectively in front of the woman, “Who's there?”
An ecto-blast shot out of an alleyway. Dani jumped into action fighting off the local ghost who thought she was an easy fight.
“Shield!” the woman called out.
Dani was shocked as a magical shield appeared. Feeling more confident she rushed the ghost until he surrendered. She let out a cheer making the other woman smile.
“I'm Dani,” she introduced herself with a playful grin.
“Sakura,” the woman replied.
When her stomach gurgled she blushed, but Sakura giggled.
“Want to eat with me?” Sakura offered.
Dani nodded eagerly, “Yes, please.”
“Are you on holiday?” Sakura asked.
“No,” Dani rubbed the back of her head in embarrassment. “I went through the wrong portal. I am supposed to be in France.”
“Sugoi!” Sakura said in excitement. “Maybe we keep in touch. Share phone numbers. Send photos of France!”
Dani nodded, “Sure!”
The pair continued laughing somehow able to carry on their conversation despite the broken English.
