Aether likes Tevyat. This world is vast, full of nature, and the people have been nothing but kind to him (well, most of them).
Aether hates thunderstorms. They have terrified him ever since he was a boy. He never expected the ones in Tevyat to be so horrifying.
A chance encounter with a mitachurl during the rain lands him in a sickbed at Dawn Winery. When he wakes up, Venti is there.
With Venti there, the rain doesn't seem so bad.
