"So, how did it end, Father? Did they truly die?" A raven-haired boy asked, eyes fulled of curiosity looking at him. He only smiled softly as a reply before petting the boy's head.
"That's a story for another day. Why don't you go to sleep, hm? I'm sure that your brothers are pretty much sleepy." He looked around the room. Surely, true to what he said, the boy's brothers were yawning, the youngest of the all has already fell asleep. The raven-haired boy pouted. He's really curious to the continuation of his father's story, but it seems the older didn't want to continue tonight.
"But, Father..." He whined.
"Now, now, Kim Hyunjae, I'm pretty sure that Father is as tired as we are. How about this, I'll sleep with you and maybe tomorrow I'll convinced Father to tell the same story after we finished dinner, okay?" Leave it to the oldest to be the one who's able to make the younger kids go to sleep, he thought fondly.
"Yes, Kim Sangyeon. I'll tell you kids the story tomorrow after dinner. Or maybe, if you behave tonight, I might tell you after breakfast."
The kids cheered after that, happy to hear that they'll be able to hear the rest of the story if they behaved really good. They eagerly went to their respective rooms, preparing to go to sleep. The youngest of them all, Kim Youngjae was carried by the second oldest. All of the kids were out of the room. All, but the oldest.
"Is there something you need to say, Kim Sangyeon?" He asked to the oldest kid, raising an eyebrow.
"Until when are you going to keep it a secret from us?" That question caught him off guard.
"What do you mean?"
"The fact that the story was about us and that we survived it, but we regressed to a child and lost our memory. All of us, except you."
"How...How did you...?"
"Remember everything? Just right before you finished the story. I have been having these flashbacks lately and it felt weird. At first, I thought it was just some kind of hallucination. However, it felt too real to be just a hallucination. The moment I heard your story, it's when I realised that it's all a memory."
"Seriously, hyung," he smiled, "Sometimes you're just too smart for your own good."
The other rolled his eyes fondly, "Don't be savage with me, Kim Sunwoo. You're lucky I didn't spill everything right then and there."
"Aww...Is our leader mad?" He cooed.
"Seriously, you guys made me age a lot more faster than usual."
That day. They managed to defeat the Phantom. At a cost, of course. They turned into a child, all except for Sunwoo. How he didn't get affected, the shapeshifter didn't know, but he's glad he didn't change into a child. Who knows what might happen if he did. There's something weird, too. Taeyang, Hwiyoung, Bobby, Diamond or he prefers going with his real name now(Chan) didn't change into a kid.
They stayed as they are. When Sunwoo found out that the coven except him changed into a child, he decided that he'd take them under his wing. Protecting them and trained them to be the person they were before they got turned.
"So, what's your plan?" Sangyeon asked, crossing his hand in front of his chest.
"I don't know, hyung. Honestly, you're a lot better about this than I am."
"Have you found..."
"No, no, I haven't. I tried so hard to find him, but it's like he disappeared into thin air, not wanting anyone to find him."
That day, the coven also lost someone. Someone who's body was used by the Phantom to do his evil deeds and also the one who helped Sunwoo fixed everything. He disappeared after saying a short good-bye to Sunwoo and the others, they never saw him since.
"I hope nothing will happen, hyung. Nothing bad. I'm really drained out after that fight."
"Me too, Sunwoo, me too."
