“As much as I’d love to get into it with you and your little plaything ,” Macaque continued, “I’m actually not here for either of you this time.”
The cold grip of the shadow tendrils around Red Son suddenly felt like it was growing to cover the rest of his body, and he realized why as his vision started to fade: he was slowly sinking into the shadows themselves.
“With how easy you made it to catch him, you clearly aren’t interested in keeping him around,” Macaque continued, “so, I’ll do you a favor and take him off your hands.”
Briefly, Red Son thought he could hear a voice calling out to him- Tang probably… but it was far too late for them to do anything.
“Don’t bother looking for him, either.” Macaque’s voice was still speaking, but sounded somewhat distant suddenly. “Demon King Red has plans for the time traveler here.”
Finally, his vision faded into blackness as the shadows fully enveloped him.
