Work Text:
Prompt: “We talked about this!”
“Dawn will be back any minute. Make a decision: do you want my help with this or not?” Anders asked. He was looking at his family members from behind his desk at J:PR.
“Definitely not, you can’t possibly believe this will help us find Frigg.” Mike answered.
“I don’t know. Anders’ ad campaigns usually do very well.” Olaf reasoned.
“You can’t find love with an ad. You just need to run into her.” Ty interjected.
“Yeah, because that has worked out perfectly up until now.” Anders shot back. He looked at his watch – why did these discussions always take so damn long.
“I just don’t know – Anders’ plan sounds pretty reasonable.” Axl replied at last.
“Of course it does,” Anders grinned at Mike’s scowl. “So are you in?”
The front door of J:PR opened at the other side of the office.
“Just a minute Dawn.” Anders exclaimed. He could not see the door from behind his desk, but he assumed she had heard him and decided to continue her work in silence. She was probably pissed at him for sending her away when his family showed up.
He did not expect the low greeting and the “Is this a bad time?” from a distinctly male voice. It was Mitchell, his tall, dark, and oh-so-handsome vampire fuckbuddy who was standing in his office with that ridiculous leather jacket and fingerless gloves and those messy curls. Why the fuck was he even here?
“Yes it is a bad time. We talked about his!” Anders exclaimed as he stood up. “It is always a bad time to show up at the office.”
“I was in the neighborhood and figured –”
“Don’t figure. Just go to my apartment and wait for me there like we discussed. Now I have all these morons staring at me like I’ve just grown another head.” He waved his left hand at the puzzled faces of his family members.
“Hi, I’m Mitchell.”
“No, no, no. We’re not doing introductions.” Anders said, standing between Mitchell and his family as if to shield them from each other.
But of course Olaf had approached and was shaking Mitchell’s hand and introducing himself like it was no big deal.
Anders softly pushed Olaf back and gestured at his family. “I need you to get out of my office. We’re done here.”
“You haven’t introduced us to your boyfriend.” Axl complained. There was a teasing glint in his eyes that Anders did not care for at all.
“Not my boyfriend.” Anders corrected immediately. He started ushering them out the door, disregarding their complaints and teasing and general confusion. He would deal with them later. They were nearly out the door when he addressed Mitchell.
“See what happens when you show up here? You know what kind of gossip Dawn is spreading about us.” Mitchell looked self-satisfied, damn him. “I need you to go back to my apartment and wait for me there.”
“Naked?” Mitchell asked, his grin feral.
“Obviously.”
“I heard that.” Axl yelled from the doorway. “Definitely boyfriend.”
