Those Held in My Heart

Summary:

Even for Tiki, two millennia is a long time to wait.

Notes:

Prompt: Marth/A!Tiki/Caeda, Reunion

Work Text:

There were moments, even now, when Tiki hardly dared believe that Zenith was real; that there was a place where the past and present—not only of Archanea, but of so many other storied worlds—came into contact, brought together under a single banner; and, most of all, that she’d been lucky enough to find herself there – reunited with some of the people closest to her, preserved exactly as they were in her memories, as if nary a day had passed since the War of Heroes.

Her time in Askr—everyone’s time in Askr—was finite. It was a truth that few in the Order of Heroes liked to dwell on, but an insurmountable one all the same. Tiki knew first-hand how cruel time could be, and how quickly it could steal away everyone she loved, and so she’d resolved not to waste even a moment of the time she’d been granted.

To a certain extent, she was glad that several millennia had passed before she’d had the chance to meet everyone again. The years of loneliness had only nurtured the love and longing in her heart, taking the tender affection of her youth and instilling it with urgency – and adulthood, once a distant dream, now afforded her the opportunity to express that affection in a new, delightful way.

As she was—as she knelt on her bed, all clothes tossed aside; as Caeda held her gently from behind, smoothing her hands over her skin and rubbing at her breasts; and as Marth eased himself into her with a sigh, his lips caressing hers and their tongues sliding together—she was very glad to see that her dearest of friends were on the same page.

“Mm… Mar-Mar,” she moaned, their mouths meeting in a kiss and his hips pushing steadily into hers. “I’ve… mmh… I’ve missed you… Oh, I’ve missed both of you so… ah… very much…”

The words lost themselves in the moment, and she wasn’t sure if either of them had heard her at all. But then Caeda’s lips grazed her ear, and her voice was as soft and warm as the sun rising over the Mila Tree, enveloping her like a blanket.

“It’s okay, Tiki. We’re here, now. We’re here for you.”

Her grip tightened on her breasts, and her fingers curled and stroked her nipples; and Tiki, alight with two-thousand years of desire, abandoned herself to Caeda’s loving embrace and Marth’s constant thrusts. His length filled and stretched her, far thicker than in all the silly fantasies she’d accumulated over the years, and she rocked her hips to meet him, bringing him ever deeper. Her arms wrapped around him, pulling him nearer; and as their tongues met and danced, flooding her mouth with his taste, one of Caeda’s hands drifted teasingly down to squeeze her rear, as if admiring every inch of the woman she’d become.

It was all so wonderful – so wonderful to have their bodies pressed together; to have Caeda touch and cherish her; to have Marth inside her at last, loving her so very fiercely. And to know, above all, that every moment of it was real.

“Tiki,” Marth panted, reserved in spite of how very hungrily he was pouring himself into her. “How… how is it…?”

“It’s everything I’ve ever wanted,” she whispered back, clutching him tightly and gasping as his pace grew heavy and desperate, lighting up nerves she’d never known she had. “P-please… don’t stop…”

Caeda giggled softly, her fingers playing over the swell of Tiki’s breasts and the curves of her hips, holding her up and supporting her as she met Marth’s thrusts. “Don’t worry. We’ll stay with you for as long as you want, Tiki. That’s a promise.”

At Caeda’s words, so gentle and soothing, Tiki felt her heart swell with happiness; and that happiness melted into bliss as Marth continued to bury himself in her, grasping at her thighs and kissing her with the kind of unbridled enthusiasm she’d spent an eternity yearning for.

Her memories, captured through a child’s eyes, hadn’t prepared her for just how beautiful the two of them really were. She’d known Marth was handsome from the moment she’d first laid eyes on him, but it was only now—seeing him so intimately—that she could truly appreciate his form: his skin, smooth and hairless; his shoulders, broad and strong; his muscles, chiselled like the finest statue. And where Caeda had once been pretty, she was now utterly captivating: her cheeks, blushing a delicate pink; her eyes, so bright and kind; her lips, so full and inviting.

But they were exactly as warm as she remembered. Not the warmth of their bodies, or the warmth as they made love to her – but the warmth of their hearts and souls. The warmth of their bottomless, boundless compassion.

Her memory of that warmth, more than anything else, had kept her going for two millennia. And now that she’d rediscovered it, she realised how difficult it’d be to let go of it again.

“Goodness, Marth,” Caeda whispered, running her tongue along Tiki’s neck and suckling at her skin. “If you insist on treating her so generously, I’ll just have to work harder…”

The hand on Tiki’s breast drew away – only for her to gasp, moments later, as she felt it prodding at her clit, stroking it in perfect time with Marth’s frantic movements just inches below. Caeda’s fingers worked deftly, drawing the swollen nub out of its hood and pinching with just the right amount of pressure; and all the while Marth was still kissing her, still filling her, still loving her with every ounce of his being.

If they’d had a thousand years in Askr, it wouldn’t have been enough. But as the three of them moved as one—cast in the candlelight, the cool air rushing against their skin and the pleasure building with every pinch and thrust—Tiki felt that even one night’s reunion had already made up for a lifetime of absence.
