Work Text:
"Ah there you are Carisi. I would like to see something with you about the case at hand."
"Good morning Counselor, I'm glad to see you too."
"Morning Barba."
Rafael looked up at the greeting, "Ah, Tutuola, Rollins you are here too. Morning."
"Yes," Fin replied, smirking, "apparently we work here too."
"Guys..." sighed Sonny.
"Getting back to the case, we should review your testim-" Rafael stopped in the middle of his sentence, narrowed his eyes before resuming, "ahem, your testimony." Then leaning forward he continued, so that only Sonny could hear him.
"I don't remember preparing this tie for you last night..."
He lightly placed his finger on the tie in question
"You don't like it?" replied Sonny, looking totally innocent.
"First of all you know very well that it is my favorite, then you know very well that it suits you better than me since it brings out your blue eyes." He leant even closer, pretending to point at something on the papers displayed on Sonny's desk and continued whispering in his ear, "and finally you know very well that it is the one I prefer to use when we..."
Sonny stood up suddenly, and said in a louder voice.
"Alright counselor, I think we're going to have to work a little harder on my testimony! In order not to bother my dear colleagues, I suggest we do this at your office."
"I couldn't agree more detective, besides the coffee is much better there."
Sonny quickly gathered his things and they both headed for the door.
The way their heads were bent towards each other, the way their arms and hands brushed at every opportunity, the way they communicated with their eyes, all this little details, left no doubt about the nature of their relationship for those who knew them.
"I wonder if this will ever get old," Rollins asked as she watched them walk away.
"I don't think so." replied Fin.
"You're probably right."
Then shaking their heads, they got back to work.
