Summary
Virgil hasn't shown up for classes since some of the students gathered for late-night games last week. It's been six days since anyone has seen him anywhere, and his three best friends are starting to fear the worst.
Little did they know that Virgil had not left the game night willingly, and that he had been undergoing an unconscious transformation as they slept peacefully. Virgil has been miserable. He's in pain, he's confused, he's starving and nothing he eats makes it any better, and what is that smell?!
His friends break into his apartment, and everyone makes a lot of quick discoveries.
Now that they all know what Virgil has become, how will everyone cope with it? Will they still be comfortable around him? Will they treat him the same?
And why is it that he still can't be seen? Why can't he seem to control any of this? Will his friends be able to help him, or will they be too scared for their own safety to try?
Why can't he just be plain old Virgil again?
Will he ever be the same person again? Will he ever feel in control of himself? Will he ever feel safe around himself again?
He certainly hoped so... For his and his friends' sakes. -
