Chapter Text

Jungkook took over his father’s position in the pack when Iseul was seven years old. The alpha had learned his entire life what it meant to be a good alpha and lead his pack well and he wanted to make his father proud. As his father aged and slowed down, he knew it was time to give responsibility to his son, knowing full well he would lead the pack with just as much wisdom and fairness as he did. His mate supported him in everything he did and he knew he had good support behind him. Yoongi had joined the hunting party to help keep food in the pack stocked as well as continuing to grow his carpentry business. Sometimes Jungkook helped out but he was very busy a lot of the time with pack matters and also enjoyed spending every second he had free with his mate and their growing family.

Jimin aged well. With every year and new child, he grew kinder, softer, but all the more beautiful in Jungkook’s eyes. His mate was the best mother, just like he always had known he would be, constantly doting on their pups and showing affection. Their pups were all wrapped around Jimin’s little fingers and he wasn’t ashamed to say he was right there with them. He loved his mate and wasn’t sure what he’d done in a past life to deserve him but he would make sure to never take his little omega for granted.

Iseul was a sweet little child, perfect in her parent’s eyes. She rarely cried and when she did it was either because she was hungry or she wanted to be held close. Jimin didn’t complain a bit about that, feeling bad for putting her down for even a second. He was smitten with her wide eyes and brown hair, spitting image of her appa. She was absolutely perfect in Jimin’s eyes and he showed her off to everyone he could, beaming smile on his face. He was so proud of the pup, the fruits of his happiness with his mate, something he never thought he’d have.

Iseul was just over a year old when Jimin found out he was pregnant again, much to his delight. He and Jungkook had both wanted a big family. Their second pup was a girl and they named her Yuri, after Jimin’s mother. Where Iseul had been a quiet agreeable little toddler, when Yuri was a toddler she constantly kept Jimin on his toes, running after her every second she wasn’t sleeping to keep her from getting hurt or getting into things she shouldn’t. Jimin adored her though and loved his little family.

Three years after Yuri was born, Jimin had their third pup, a little boy. They named him Hanbyul. He was a quiet timid child who stuck closely to his mother but he got along very well with his sisters. Jimin adored him and would often carry him around in a sling on his back as he ran errands.

Jungkook was such a good father. He was patient and taught the pups a lot of things and the pups looked up to him like he hung the stars in the sky because to them he did. Jimin adored his mate more each day and though it was hard to find time to be alone he wouldn’t trade his family for the world. Contrary to the norms of status hierarchy and roles, Jungkook taught his girls how to track when they were old enough to go with him into the forest. He also taught them to cook certain recipes his mother had taught him and he’d refused to teach Jimin so he’d have an excuse to cook for him and their family. He and his omega shared responsibilities very well, very much split down the middle. If one of them got busy, the other would pick up the slack. They never hardly ever fought and even when they did it was quickly put to bed when they laid down to sleep each night. They never went to bed angry.

They still found ways to keep their spark alive. Every now and again he would ask Taehyung to watch the pups to he and Jungkook could have some alone time, which was basically reserved for when one or both of them were horny or during Jungkook’s rut or Jimin’s heat. Their relationship hadn’t dwindled, hadn’t fizzled, one bit. They were just as hopelessly in love as they’d been when they first met. They’d only grown more in tune with each other’s bodies, knew every special place to touch, to kiss, to tease. Jimin had grown much more comfortable in his own skin, helped along by his supportive alpha who worshipped his body at every chance he got, and he often initiated these nights of passion when they had a chance.

The Jeon pack thrived under Jungkook’s leadership and he was pleased to make his parents proud. His parents could focus on more important things now, like spoiling their grandpups rotten. The pups loved them so much and Jimin and Jungkook, though they loved having their pups home with them, would often let them stay the night at their house to give them a break. Between staying there and with the Min’s, the young parents had plenty of time to themselves.

Every year, they made a point to make the journey to Jimin’s old pack so that Jimin could put flowers on his mother’s grave and Jungkook would always take the pups and just walk through the forest or through the village to give Jimin some space. Sometimes, though, Jimin would let the pups stay and would tell them stories of his mother and how much she would have loved them. Jimin didn’t miss the old pack but he did miss his mother. One instance during their visit, they saw Donghyun in passing and he had smiled at them and waved. Jimin and Jungkook had waved back. Pleasantries were exchanged and Donghyun was overjoyed to see Jimin happy and with two pups at that point. Jimin was equally happy to hear Donghyun and his family were doing well. He truly harbored no grudge or anger toward the alpha anymore. Donghyun also took the liberty of informing them that Ara had been banished just like the pack alpha had promised and Jimin was relieved but he also found that it didn’t fill him with such anger and hatred to think about Ara anymore like it had a few years ago. Now, he just felt indifferent. Perhaps that is what happens when you’re happy and content with your life. He trusted and loved his mate more than anything, felt secure in his promise and bond with him even without the marks adorning their necks, and that was enough to let Jimin have the luxury of not worrying about their relationship for a second.

Jimin and Jungkook had decided that Hanbyul was the last pup but fate has a way of giving you everything you didn’t know you needed. Jimin was well into his thirties when he found out he was expecting twins. He was shocked and also a little nervous. Being a healer, he knew twin pregnancies were higher risk even for young people and he wasn’t exactly a young mother. But, he trusted his body who had carried three pups to full term and he tried to take it easy, which wasn’t difficult with a mate like Jungkook. The alpha barely let him lift a finger and between him, Taehyung, and Areum, he always had help with anything he needed. Jungkook was a protective and loving alpha and he took care of Jimin in all the ways he needed and he was very grateful.

The twins were born just a touch early but to Jimin’s relief they were perfectly healthy. Jungkook had been so anxious over the birth but he had attempted to stay strong for Jimin, holding his hand through the entire thing. Surprisingly, having twins was easy for Jimin and the actual birth went rather quickly. They were born within five minutes of each other, one boy and one girl. Jimin had held them both close to his chest as he gazed at their little red faces for the first time, Jungkook looking in awe over his shoulder.

“What should we call them, Alpha?” Jimin asked softly, smiling down at their pups.

Jungkook hummed. “It’s your turn to name them. I named Iseul and Hanbyul,” Jungkook said, nuzzling Jimin’s cheek with his own as he looked down at their pups.

Jimin studied their faces and he smiled. “How about Seohyun and Sujin?”

Jungkook smiled. “Perfect names for our perfect pups.”

Jimin smiled and scented both the pups while he held them.

“We have the perfect little family. These two complete it,” Jimin whispered and then looked at his alpha with love in his gaze.

Jungkook smiled and kissed Jimin’s forehead.

“Thank you, my love. You’ve given me everything I’ve ever wanted and more,” Jungkook said and Jimin’s heart swelled inside his chest and he was overwhelmed somehow with even more love for his mate.

“Jungkook, you gave me everything and I don’t just say that. I never thought I could ever be so happy and you’ve given me more than I could have ever hoped for. You are the love of my life,” Jimin said softly while his mate just looked at him adoringly.

“As you are mine,” Jungkook said and then he carefully reached to hold one of his pups, the little girl, Seohyun.

“Hello little Seohyun, I’m your appa. I’m so happy to meet you finally,” Jungkook said and it warmed Jimin’s heart again.

He knew his pups would eventually be let into the room to meet their new siblings but he loved these precious moments of watching his mate hold their pups for the first time. Their family was complete and Jimin knew he could never feel more blessed than he did in this moment. He’d teach their pups to love, to be kind and to follow their heart and he knew they’d turn out just fine, especially with a role model like Jungkook. Jimin was lucky, he was blessed, and he didn’t take a single day for granted.

Life was perfect.
