~~ A couple of notes here :) There's going to be minor spoilers and some abusive behaviors(Elaine getting slapped), but also none of this is meant to be taken seriously and is based off a Skype conversation
Also Derieri speaks in a very strange way and it is so fun to write :)
This was also meant to be crack, but crack is not something I can do so enjoy my crack fic taken seriously ~~
Elaine had taken the role of Fairy Queen once her brother had become the king of the Giants.
However, a colony called the ANTartic Empire had taken over the world. A few places, such as the fairy realm, purgatory, and the goddess realm had not been taken over by the Ants.
Luckily, Elaine, Zeldris, and The Archangels had all put aside their arguments and became allies. Zeldris didn't get along well with the ArchAngels, and neither did the Ten Commandments, but they all were able to hide it enough to get battle plans.
Elaine reached out to meet her brother.
She traveled to the Giant Kingdom, Derieri and Monspeet right beside her. They were there as her guards.
Ban, Meliodas, and Elizabeth, as well as the humans were taking cover from the ants and trying to get to the fairy kingdom with as few deaths as possible.
But Elaine, Derieri, and Monspeet were walking right onto Ant’s Territory.
She had just burst open her brother’s castle. “Brother! I need to speak with you!”
“What is it you want, sister? I'm busy being King.”
“ Brother, you can't just ignore that there are literal ants taking over the world! I want you to join us, we could use the Giants on our side of this war.”
“Sister, I have no intentions to participate in this, or your silly rebellion.”
“But brother-”
“Enough of this! Leave this place, you and your stupid rebellion are not welcome in this place!”
“Brother, what about Diane!? What about your kids?!? Don't you want the best for them!?”
“I know what the best for them is, you do not! Leave now!!”
Elaine would have walked up and slapped her brother had Monspeet not set a hand on her shoulder to keep her from doing anything stupid.
Derieri however, she was this close to doing something stupid. Luckily she had gotten her anger issues under control, so she did not.
Elaine stared at her brother for a few seconds before turning around in an angry fashion and left, Monspeet and Derieri following right behind the fairy queen.
Neither of them spoke, neither of them had to.
They had to fight a few ants but they were weak ants, so it was no problem for the two demons.
Elaine didn't waste her efforts on fighting them, she could crush them easily but she was angry.
Her brother didn't believe she knew what was right. Why, after all they had been through, did he have to betray the fairies yet again? He knew how much pain he had caused her, and she was his sister. He should at least care about her.
Diane likely wouldn't want to be a part of the Ants. They were hurting her friends, and if Elaine knew Diane, Diane didn't want her friends getting hurt. Or their kids.
If they had kids in the future, under the rule of the ants, what would happen? They likely wouldn't like it, and might kill the child. Elaine didn't want to see her brother and friend go through that pain.
“My ass says, we should go back.” Derieri said, Combo Star-ing another ant and then running to catch up.
“She's saying we should go back and fight King Harlequin to attempt to convince him to join our side.” Monspeet translated, stabbing an ant in the face with his Rapier that literally showed up in one scene and never showed up again. He usually translated her short, crude sentences. He did it out of habit at this point.
“We can't, he's my brother. I can't fight him, and he’ll soon learn he is on the wrong side of this war.” Elaine replied. Derieri was always eager to fight, this was nothing new for her to suggest violence.
After a bit of silence, Elaine sighed. “You know what? Let's go back. We aren't fighting him though.”
“My ass says, that's lame.”
“I'm not translating that one”
Elaine shrugged and turned around, slamming an ant into the ground until it exploded with her wind, motioning for her demon guards to follow.
Derieri was right on her tail, Monspeet was a bit behind to protect them from the ants.
“If I call him Big Brother like I always used to do, do you think he’ll listen to me?”
“Possibly, I think there would be more of a chance for your brother to listen if you try to speak to his heart rather than his mind.”
“I hope this will work. I'm not sure though, if I know my brother, he won't care what I say, his mind will stay set. If I can contact Diane and get her on our side, He’ll likely follow.”
“To say from the ass, he sounds like an ass.”
“She means your brother is stupid, if he will only change his mind based off of what his wife says. Also, we may run into a problem with communicating with Diane, since she was nowhere near the throne room.”
“Unfortunately, it will be an issue. However once Elizabeth and her army gets to the forest, it will be easier.”
Derieri hummed in approval. Elaine giggled quietly, her wings fluttering. She opened the castle door again, peeking in at her brother.
“Big brother, can we speak please?”
“Elaine, I said you were not welcome here.”
“I know but please? Or at least let me speak with Diane.”
King stared, his expression unchanging.
“Sister, you are not the queen of the fairies, or the queen of anything. Stop playing pretend, I am the Fairy King and Giant King. You are just the holy maiden who was supposed to protect the fountain of youth.”
“Brother you dropped your position as Fairy King to become Giant King! You gave the position of Fairy King to Ban, and made me Fairy Queen in doing so! You cannot just say you’re still King when you gave the position away!” She said, entering the room once again.
Derieri and Monspeet just stood by the door.
“I never gave it off to you and your stupid Husband!”
“Yes you did! And you have betrayed your race again for staying with the Ants!” Elaine shouted, her hands clenching until her knuckles went light.
King gasped, offended at her for saying such a thing, he stood and walked over to her, slapping Elaine across the face and grabbing her by the collar.
“Now you listen here, you are nothing more than a little girl. Stop acting like you're all high and mighty, this isn't time to play pretend. You-”
In a moment, Derieri had taken Elaine from her brother’s grasp and Monspeet had his Rapier to King Harlequin’s throat.
“Speaking from the ass, shut up or I’ll Combo Star you.”
Monspeet said nothing but lowered his weapon and left, Derieri following behind with Elaine in her arms. The fairy queen was small, only reaching 5’2 in height but she was stronger than Derieri. However, no one would like being talked to like this by their sibling.
But she didn't cry, or do anything of the sort. She just set her hand on her cheek where she had been slapped.
Her guards were angry, but silent about it. Monspeet never expressed his anger usually, so that was normal for him but Derieri being quiet and angry was scary.
She was loud when she was angry, and she let everyone know when she was. But there was times when she was quiet and angry, and those were scary times.
Elaine was a bit intimidated, honestly, but she knew she would be fine.
They had gotten back into the Fairy Realm, and were surprised to see the humans there as well.
Elizabeth, Meliodas, and Ban were back.
Elaine was snatched from Derieri, and ended up in her husband’s arms instead. They had been reunited once again, not even the ants could keep them apart.
Derieri just grabbed Monspeet’s hand and walked into a different room with him.
Probably to go cuddle or something idk-
However, with King. Diane was angry at him.
“Come on Diane, you can't be mad at me for this.”
“Well I am.”
“I had to do it! Elaine was being childish, thinking she could possibly win against the ants-”
“You do know that we’re on the wrong side of this, right? Why would you want a bunch of bugs to take over? We need to be on the other side of this!”
“Diane, you can't possibly think that we could WIN against the ants. There is no winning against them, they have already taken over, there is nothing left but to join them instead of my sister’s stupid rebellion.”
“Harlequin, you acknowledge she is your sister yet you HIT her. You don't just hit a woman!!”
“She's being stupid!”
“That doesn't matter if she's being stupid! You don't hit people who you care about!!”
“You’re the only person I care about, Diane. I can't care about the people rebelling because if I do And when they get killed I'll be sad.”
“WHEN THEY GET KILLED? Really Harlequin? You can't be serious.”
“The ants are powerful! They will take down that stupid rebellion.”
“Stop calling it stupid! You should be in support of your sister, not against her-”
“Mommy, daddy, why are you fighting?”
A little boy with blonde hair and purple eyes looked over at his parents. It was their kid.
He was 6, and it was rare for King and Diane to fight but it happened every once in a while.
“I'm sorry baby, daddy is just being a jerk to his sister.” Diane went over to her child and picked him up, carrying him over to King again.
“Diane, if we rebell we could risk losing him. I'm doing what is right for our family.”
“Harlequin, it would be safer if we didn't stay with a bunch of bugs!”
“I don't like bugs, mommy is right.”
King sighed, turning around and walking away. He knew Diane wouldn't like the idea of the giants fighting with the ants, but he had to protect her and his kid. He had good intentions.
Elaine had explained what happened to everyone, and Ban was angry that her brother dared to lay a hand on her like that.
Meliodas and Ban went to go drink in celebration of making it to the forest, as well as many humans, a couple of the commandments, and a couple of the archangels.
Elaine and Elizabeth left to go speak with Diane. Elaine had stepped foot in her brother’s castle 3 times that day, twice with Monspeet and Derieri and once with Elizabeth. They climbed through a window, Diane helping her friends up.
“It's so good to see you two! What brings you here?” Diane asked in a more hushed tone.
“Can you get Sir King to join us, Diane?” Elizabeth asked, also speaking in a quiet tone. It was likely to keep King from knowing they were there.
Diane sighed, looking disappointed. “Trust me, I've tried. He keeps saying that it's best for us to stay here but I don't think it is. Our child could be in danger.” Diane explained to the girls, fueling Elaine’s anger and Elizabeth’s sadness.
The fairy girl was very clearly angry, it was visible. Her brother wasn't listening.
“Is he broken or something? My brother would never act like this!” She growled, clenching her hands into fists again.
“It's the real Harlequin, I don't know what's wrong going on with him though. “ Diane pouted. Elizabeth placed a hand on Elaine’s shoulder, before lifting up the fairy queen and holding her like she was a little kid.
“ Well, all I can ask is for you to keep trying. We have to get going before our husbands worry. “ Elizabeth said, patting Diane on the head before climbing out of the window with Elaine still in her arms. She set the fairy queen down, only to be picked up herself and to be flown back to the fairy realm.
Elizabeth quickly went back to Meliodas once they were back, and Elaine went over to Ban.
And that, my friends, is how the war between the two fairy siblings were in a war against each other.
