Chapter Text

"Todoroki!" Todoroki looked up from his desk to look at Uraraka and Midoriya, who were standing and waving excitedly at the classroom door. "We"re gonna be late!"

Todoroki checked the time on his phone. "The festival doesn"t start until 6. We"ll be extremely early if we leave now."

"We need to pick out our clothes! You aren"t wearing your uniform to the festival, are you?" Uraraka laughed. Todoroki sighed but started to pack his stuff up, regardless.

"It shouldn"t be that difficult to pick out clothes. Why do we need 2 hours?" Todoroki stood up and slung his backpack over his shoulder. Uraraka laughed, sounding more sinister this time, and rubbed her hands together. Midoriya fidgeted next to her.

"For makeup! Mwahahaha!" she said, faking an evil laugh. Todoroki turned his head in confusion.

"Makeup?"

Uraraka nodded. She wrapped an arm around Midoriya"s shoulders and pulled him down, which made him yelp. "Deku here lost a bet to me so I get to do his makeup tonight after the festival!"

"What was the bet?" Todoroki asked, taking a sip from his water bottle.

"That Midoriya would have a girlfriend before Bakugo."

Todoroki choked on his water.

"Oh my god! Todoroki, are you okay?" Midoriya worriedly patted the taller boy on the back.

"Yeah, I"m...I"m fine," Todoroki wheezed. "Bakugo has a girlfriend?"

"Surprising, right? Kaminari said that he heard Bakugo on the phone being all lovey n" stuff last weekend." Uraraka shrugged. "I wonder if he’s in a long-distance relationship or something?"

"What kinda stuff was he saying?" Todoroki said, still coughing up water.

"Like, how was her family doing, how she was doing, how much he missed her. Why? You jealous?" Uraraka teased. Todoroki vaguely remembers that conversation from last weekend. He was staying with his family for Natsuo’s birthday that day.

"I can"t be jealous of myself. I was just wondering what Kaminari heard," Todoroki confessed. It was pointless, however, as Uraraka and Midoriya had already sprinted halfway down the hall. Todoroki sighed and started to follow the pair.

"-and that"s what Uraraka said." Todoroki finished, still rifling through Bakugo"s closet. Bakugo hummed thoughtfully. "Katsuki?"

The two boys were in Katsuki"s room searching for clothes for Todoroki to wear to the festival since his own clothes looked like, in Bakugo"s words, "a 7th grader who had an acid trip in a JCPenney"s." Todoroki disagreed but Bakugo wouldn"t take no for an answer. So now they were both in Bakugo"s room, the owner of the bedroom was staring at his phone, only looking up to judge Todoroki"s shirt choices. Todoroki took the opportunity to tell his boyfriend about the rumors going on about this supposed "girlfriend" that the blond had.

"I"m going to kill Pikachu. What, is he my mom or something? He shouldn"t be listenin" to my conversations like that." The blond finally looked up at Todoroki. "You find anything good in there, yet?"

"Possibly."

"Possibly?" Bakugo echoed. "What the fuck is that supposed to mean?"

"I mean, I found some stuff I like on you." Todoroki heard a gravelly laugh from behind him.

"Yeah? Wanna show me what you found?"

"Nope. You have to guess." He heard Bakugo flop down on the bed.

"Fucker."

"So, what are you going to do about the rumors?"

"Beat up Dunce Face, I guess? Why?"

Todoroki turned around to face Bakugo. "Really? That"s it?"

The blond raised an eyebrow at the half and half boy. "Yeah? What, do you want me to do more than that?"

"No. I just was surprised. You’d normally be more...explod-y about it."

“Yeah, well. Everyone already knows we’re dating even if they don’t want to accept it.”

“Hm. I guess you’re right.” Todoroki sighed. Was it really that hard to believe that they were in a real relationship….?

Bakugo squinted at Todoroki. "Shou..."

"What?"

"If you have something to say to me, you can just say it."

"It"s nothing."

Bakugo scoffed. “Nothing, my ass. I hate it when you"re cryptic like this.”

“I’m not being cryptic…”

“Bullshit.” But Bakugo turned over to face the wall anyways. “Finish pickin’ out your clothes. You have to leave soon.”

“I love you.”

“Yeah, yeah. I love you too.”

“Sorry, guys! I really thought I’d be able to handle it!” Uraraka smiled apologetically, before doubling over again. Todoroki’s nose wrinkled in disgust at the noise.

“It’s fine, Ura! I liked the ride regardless!” Midoriya laughed nervously. He was worriedly hovering over her. Todoroki took an amused sip of his gatorade-turned-slushy.

“Uraraka! I highly advise that you do not go on any more roller coasters for fear of making you more ill!” lida boomed, waving his hands around animatedly. This only made Uraraka throw up more, drawing more attention to the group. Todoroki took another long swig of gatorade slushy and contemplated walking away and pretending he didn’t know any of them. He suddenly heard someone shout from behind.

“Hey, extras! What the fuck are you all doing here?”

Todoroki looked behind him to see Bakugo walking towards him with the bakusquad in tow. From where Todoroki was standing, he could see that the spiky blond pomeranian, whomst he loved very much, was holding Denki Kaminari’s hand while he walked through the crowd. Bakugo stopped in front of Todoroki and stared up at him, daring him to say something. Todoroki blinked at Bakugo in return.

“I didn’t know you were coming to the festival.”

Bakugo huffed. “Yeah, I didn’t know either. UNTIL SOME DUMBFUCKS FORCED THEMSELVES INTO MY ROOM!”

Mina giggled from behind Bakugo. Todoroki gave her a small wave, before looking back down and realizing Bakugo and Kaminari were still holding hands.

“So...are you and Kaminari, like, a thing now?”

Todoroki could feel his classmates’ shock as the words left his mouth. He glanced at Midoriya and Uraraka, who was staring as if Todoroki had suggested to become villains and fight All-Might. He looked back towards his boyfriend, who honestly looked more amused than upset.

“Hah? Are you tryin’ to die?”

“No. Not today. Thank you for asking though.” The sound of a half screech drew both boys" attention. Midoriya was frozen in place, mouth opening and closing. Todoroki snapped in his face a few times before Deku finally regained motor control.

“What-What the hell? What is happening?”

Todoroki tilted head confusedly. “What do you mean, Midoriya?”

Midoriya whipped his head around to meet Todoroki’s gaze.

 “KACCHAN DIDN’T KILL YOU?”

“Why would he?”

“You….you just taunted him. And he didn’t explode. Am I having a stroke? Is this what a stroke feels like?”

“Please don’t,” Todoroki frowned. He side-eyed Bakugo, who seemed to be trying to contain laughter. “Besides, he loves me too much to try and get rid of me.”

Midoriya squawked again.

Todoroki heard Bakugo groan from beside him. “I’ll kill you here and now. Don’t think I won"t.” He then felt a hand grab his wrist.

“Well, Deku and other extras, if you’re just going to gawk, we’ll be touring the festival without you.” Bakugo yanked Todoroki with him as he walked away from the two groups, who were still gawking at the couple.

“Where do you want to go?” Todoroki asked when they were far away from their starting point.

“I dunno.”

“So, you dragged me away for no reason?”

“I guess.” Bakugo shrugged. “You ever been here before?”

“Katsuki, you’re changing the subject.”

Bakugo smirked. “Am I? I hadn’t noticed.”

“You are insufferable.”

“Yeah, yeah. I love you too.”

Todoroki looked around at the unfamiliar booths around him. Katsuki definitely had somewhere he was going, even if he was being stubborn about it.

“Can you at least tell me if we’re going on a ride?”

“Nope. You gotta trust me, half n’ half.”

Todoroki groaned again, but let himself be dragged through a sea of people without saying another word. Eventually, the couple reached the edge of the festival, overlooking the lake. To the side of them, there was a large Ferris Wheel, covered in lights and banners. Compared to the rest of the festival, this area was not as populated and loud due to its location.  The water glistened with reflected lights and fireworks going off overhead.

“Well? Do you like it?” Bakugo nudged Todoroki with his elbow. Todoroki stared, mesmerized, for a few more seconds before turning to the shorter boy.

“Its lovely, Katsuki,” Todoroki muttered softly.

“Tch. Of fucking course it is! Now lets go get on the damn thing before Denki and the rest of the dumbasses start lookin’ for me!”
