Chapter Text
Another full moon, another night of watching over savage beasts, though the people that take form during the day are quite the opposite to what these wild animals are. Nicholas is wild and rampant as a wolf, but as a human he falls nothing short of a goofy puppy. Youngbin is aggressive and threatening as a wolf, but as a human he's rather timid and sensitive. The two wolves that Geonu were watching over tonight, were two of his friends (out of the other twenty friends that they share). Now, it wasn't really a hassle to watch over them at all: they were both chained up in large holding cells made of silver so escaping wasn't likely, but it was the morning after Geonu dreaded (or at least pretended to).
"Geonu-hyung!" Nicholas called from down the hallway. The vampire groaned, surely loud enough for the werewolf to hear, but he didn't seem to care. Geonu didn't bother trying to run away anymore because Nicholas would have found him later in the day and catch up to him anyways. Nicholas caught up and walked the same pace as Geonu, beaming down at him with gratitude.
“Thanks for watching over me and Youngbin-hyung again. It really makes me feel better knowing that we have such a reliable friend taking care of us and making sure no one gets hurt because of us. How 'bout I take you out as a thank you?" He suggested with a cheeky smile. Geonu just gave him a flat look-despite the weird fluttering in his stomach-, just staring until Nicholas caved, though his smile never faded.
“Alright fine, maybe next time.”
“That’s what you said last time, and the time before that and before than and guess what, none of those times I said yes.” Don’t take Geonu the wrong way, he likes Nicholas, just not when he gets like...this...
Okay that was a lie, really he just hated the flustered feeling that overtakes his body when Nicholas gets too close. His brain thinks up of all sorts of weird things when Nicholas looks at him like that, like Geonu means the world to him...and like he wants to do more with Geonu than what he lets on. He wants it to stop because he didn’t want to do anything with Nicholas that could hurt their friendship in some way.
“I know, but it’s still worth a shot. Anyways, have a nice day hyung. I’ll see you at lunch.” He said, waving as he walked off. And he did. He always did. They were in the same friend group so of course they did. Geonu-who was twirling the daylight ring Jimin enchanted for him so he can be out in the sun-was seated with Heeseung, who was with Jay and Sunghoon. And Nicholas was across the table with Hanbin and Riki, who was with Taki. On one end of the table there was K and Seon, and on the opposite end there was Youngbin squished between Kyungmin and Jaebeom, as he always was after a full moon.
Geonu wasn’t sure why. There was never an explanation for the sudden need for affection after a full moon on Youngbin’s part, since Nicholas was never like that. Maybe it had to do with the fact that he was emotionally sensitive, and full moons were just mentally taxing on him and he need the extra support.
You know what though? It wasn’t his business. He shouldn’t think too much on it. He needs to worry about the werewolf that is currently eyeing him like a six course meal.
"Nicholas, I swear to the Gods if you don't stop staring at me, I'll pray to Zeus to smite you."
"Bet."
"Okay, firstly, there will be no smiting." Heeseung started, filling the role as a moderator quite naturally. "And second, Nicholas, it isn't polite to stare."
"I wasn't staring to be rude, I saw just staring off in space and Geonuu just so happened to be in front of me." And with the skip of his heartbeat, Geonu knew Nicholas was lying. He didn't call him out though. He just rolled his eyes and went back to conversing with his friends.
A few days passed of Nicholas asking over and over again to take him out, coming up behind him and giving him a quick back hug before Geonu could elbow the younger off of him, even grabbing his arm and swinging it back and forth as he whined and begged to take him out. Geonu just ignored him until he stopped at the end of the week, like he did every month. Nicholas was back to normal, just goofing around like usual with his group of friends and only talking to Geonu every once in a while.
Weeks pass and the full moon has come again. Nicholas and Youngbin are already in their wolf forms locked up by the time Geonu makes it to the school basement. The first time he watched over them, he had witnessed the horror that was a werewolfs transformation. The breaking and shifting of bones and changing of flesh to fur was not pretty. Neither were the horrific screams of pain that came from his friends. So he would wait until they had already turned into their wolf forms to go see them.
Nicholas was different this night. He wasn't lashing out at Geonu or Youngbin through the bars like usual. His large black form was pacing back and forth in his cell. There were low, quite growls rumbling from within him, and his head was hung low.
It’s odd, but Geonu tries not to think about it to much. Which is a good thing because Nicholas acts just the same as he does every morning after the full moon. Or...at least mostly. He was a little more desperate this time, a little more clingy, and a little more disheartened when Geonu told him no. He felt guilty, but he didn’t know what else to do. He panicked every time he was asked out by the werewolf.
When the week was over, Nicholas had started distancing himself from Geonu. They still talked and joked around, but something in the air was stiff, and Nicholas hardly initiated conversation.
By the next full moon, Nicholas was oddly calm again. Honestly, he wasn’t completely sure if calm was the right word. There was something off about Nicho. It was like the wolf was actively avoiding any sort of interaction...no, like it was trying to hold itself back. Like he was trying to hide.
This worried Geonu immensely, especially since the next day, Nicholas was completely out of sight. He hadn’t shown up to his classes that morning. He wasn’t at their lunch table, nor had he bothered to pop up from behind a corner and tried to lock him in a back hug. Geonu was on edge, wondering if maybe Nicholas was sick.
Things didn’t exactly get any better when at the brink of dusk, Youngbin had marched his way over to Geonu and Heeseungs shared room. He made sure his entrance was as loud and angry as he could make it.
“You’re an idiot!” He shouted, startling Heeseung so badly he screamed and jumped off the side of his bed in panic. Geonu was particularly shocked. Youngbin wasn’t one to shout much less call people names, and Geonu was pretty certain he wasn’t an idiot.
“Uh, could you elaborate please?” He asked. Geonu glanced over at Heeseung and gave him a look that asked for privacy. The younger quickly got up and zoomed out of the room, closing it behind him so that Geonu and Youngbin were alone.
“Maybe you should have done a little research into werewolves before you decided to take on the responsibility of taking care of us.” He spat. Geonu frowned.
“What are you on about? Is this about Nicholas-”
“YES IT’S ABOUT NICHOLAS!” He shouted, much louder this time, and his eyes were actually starting to glow their wolfish gold. Geonu’s senses went on high alert. He braced himself for whatever wrath the younger had planned for him.
“Look, I don’t know what I did, but I’m worried about him too. I haven’t seen him all day-”
“It’s cause he locked himself up in his room. He’s in a lot of pain right now.” Youngbin seethed, the gold having yet to fade from his irises. Geonu had never seen him so angry before.
“Do you know why I cling to Kyungmin and Jeabeom after every full moon?” Geonu blinked, not entirely sure what this had to do with Nicholas, but he shook his head anyways.
“It’s because after every full moon, I feel like a mess. My body hurts, my head aches, and my emotions are all over the place. And sometimes, I get really depressed and feel like a monster. It’s called Post Full Moon Syndrome.” He explains. The gold had faded to brown, but the heat of his anger was still there.
“It’s a condition werewolves go through for about a week after the full moon because of how physically and mentally taxing it is. Werewolves healing, strength and speed are all slowed way down after, so when we shift back into our human forms, our bodies heal slower and the chemicals in our brains are all off balance.” Geonu has an inkling feeling he knows where this is going, but he lets Youngbin continue without interruption.
“The best way to counter it is with something called Post Full Moon Aftercare. Each werewolf handles it differently. I need a lot of cuddling and positive affirmations from people of my wolfs choice. As for Nicholas, he clings to you–for whatever reason, out of gratitude?–and asks you to spend time with him.” This is when Geonu decides to speak up.
“Okay pause. He doesn’t ask to just ‘spend time with me’, he asks me out. On dates. As in he wants to go out with me, and I have to say ‘no’, cause I don’t feel that way about him.” That last sentence had Youngbin’s eye twitching.
“If you lie to me again,” he growls, stepping forward. “I will rip your throat out.” Geonu shoots up from where he sat on his bed, anger suddenly taking charge.
“Lying?! About what exactly?!” He cried out incredulously.
“I don’t know and I don’t care, but I know you lied, I can smell it on you. But it doesn’t matter. You should have done anything other than completely ignoring him and brushing him off when he needed you most. Now, he’s in bed being comforted by K and Seon–which honestly won’t help much because they aren’t what he needs–and is in excruciating amount of both physical and emotional pain. If you don’t go in there right now, he’s gonna be in there for a lot longer than a week, and you’ll be leaving the school in a damn body bag.” His threats were empty, Geonu knew that, but he got up and followed Youngbin out of his room and to the one he and Nicholas shared.
Geonu shuffled into the room behind Youngbin, peeking around his shoulder to see Nicholas was blazing red and asleep against Seon’s chest-who, mind you, was glaring in disapproval at Geonu, combing his fingers over Nicholas’ head slowly. K was standing behind his partner, biting his nails anxiously. He quickly perked up when he caught sight of Geonu, however.
He felt sick to his stomach. He could feel Nicholas’ fever from where he stood at the door, could see him shivering and wincing in pain, even as he slept. He pushed himself to walk forward, the heavy feeling of guilt weighing deeply in his gut.
He did this.
Geonu did this.
All because he denied Nicholas of what he needed most. It wasn’t much. All he needed was attention, care and reassurance. And Geonu let his own fears get in the way.
He should have known there was another reason why Nicholas had started acting that way. He should have asked. He didn’t know Nicholas’ reasoning for not opening up to him about this.
“Geonu.” The vampire flinched at Seon’s cold voice. He didn’t blame him. Nicholas was one of his “kids”, he had every right to be upset. “You make him better, okay?” He said, and despite the coldness, there was a softness as well. After all, Geonu was one of his kids too. Geonu looked him in the eyes hesitantly and nodded.
Seon gently moved Nicholas’ head to his pillow, the younger frowning and whimpering, and led himself and K out of the room. Youngbin lingered in the doorway, watching carefully as Geonu gingerly sat on the bed next to Nicholas, who was still facing away from him. He reached out, pressing his cold hand against the feverish skin of Nicholas’ forehead. Immediately he could feel his body radiating less heat.
“His fever is already going down.” Geonu note out loud.
“It’s because he’s finally getting what he’s been starved of.” Youngbin says, albeit a bit backhandedly.
Nicholas turned over, the frown that had stitched itself to his face fading into a more neutral, peaceful look. Youngbin left and Geonu hardly noticed. He was too wrapped up in how quickly Nicholas was getting better already.
He got comfortable, figuring he was going to be here a while if he wanted Nicholas to get better faster, he leaned back against the headboard of his bed, brushing his sweaty strands of hair out of his face. A low rumbling came from Nicholas, making Geonu freeze his movements only to figure out that Nicholas was fucking purring.
It made his chest flutter. It was cute, and had him wandering halfheartedly if he wasn’t actually some big cat. Geonu had to hold back a small smile as he continued to pet down his hair.
At some point Geonu woke up–he couldn’t recall falling asleep–with Nicholas buried in his neck and his arms caging the vampire beneath him. His mind immediately started swirling. He’s been close with Nicholas before, having hugged him plenty of times, but this felt so much more intimate. Especially since he was in Nicholas’ bed, and he was aware that the younger had some sort of feelings for him–and maybe he had feelings for Nicholas too.
Nicholas stirred, Geonu stiffening and panicking a little bit. What was he supposed to do? Just lay there and be like ‘Oh yeah, you got sick because I deprived you of a necessity I didn’t know you needed and I’m here to fix it’. It could have been worse honestly, but it wasn’t a situation he wanted to face right now.
Nicholas lifted his head, staring with puffy, sleepy eyes at Geonu in deep confusion.
“Uh...hi.” He mumbled. Yeah no, his morning voice definitely didn’t do anything to Geonu (/s).
“Hi…” Was all he could think of to say. There was an awkward silence between them as Nicholas slowly lifted himself off of Geonu and sat back on his heels. He rubbed his eyes and stretched, his mouth opening wide in a loud yawn. Geonu sat up too.
“So, what are you doing here exactly?” Nicholas questioned.
“I mean I’m not complaining. This is the first time you've willingly stayed in the same room with me after a full moon.” Geonu winced at that, dropping his head in guilt as he scratched the back of his neck.
“Well, I came here because you weren’t feeling well...in fact you were bed ridden, if you can remember, and...it was kinda my fault.” Nicholas blinked.
“Huh? You’re fault?” He asked, confused. Geonu frowned. Did he not realize why he was sick?
“Uh, yeah? Youngbin said it was because of the Post Full Moon Syndrome?” Now that he said out loud himself to Nicholas, it kinda sounded dumb. Youngbin wouldn’t lie to him, would he?
“The hell is that?” Oh Gods Youngbin better not have lied.
“Y-Youngbin said that werewolves go through that for a week after a full moon? It slows down your healing and messes with your brain chemicals…” Gods he sounded so stupid. Nicholas’ eyes drifted off in thought, then snapped back at Geonu.
“Well shit. Never knew that’s what that was. I’ve always thought I was just being a desperate and pushy pest. Ha! Dang I’m pretty dumb.” He said, a goofy smile taking place on his face. Geonu shook his head.
“You’re not dumb, Nicholas. You haven’t been a werewolf that long, you were only changed like a year ago, right?” Nicholas nodded.
“Yeah, I would have thought...Hey! Youngbin should have told all of this stuff to you! He’s been a werewolf for way longer!” Nicholas shrugged.
“He probably did. I tend to zone out on him sometimes.”
...what…
“Nicholas.” Geonu sighed exasperatedly, closing his eyes tight and pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Heh. Sorry.”
“I got in trouble with Youngbin yesterday! He threatened to rip my throat out-eek!” Nicholas tackled Geonu into the bed, burying his face in his neck and growling rumbling in his chest.
“He won’t touch you.” Nicholas said lowly against his skin, the lighthearted tone before completely gone and replaced by something more possessive. It made Geonu’s chest tighten and his stomach coil. In a good way.
“He...he didn’t mean it. It was an empty threat.” Geonu said weakly. His brain was spinning again. Nicholas’ arms tightened around Geonu’s middle. Geonu didn’t exactly need to breathe since he was a vampire, but still, everything he did took his breath away. His heart would be thrumming in his chest if he was still alive.
“N-Nicholas.” The werewolf continued to growl, rubbing his nose against Geonu’s skin and breathing him in. Geonu squirmed. There was something under his skin burning. He couldn’t pinpoint what it was exactly, but it was new. It wasn't bad, in fact he liked it, he was just a little concerned with Nicholas’ current state of mind.
He set a hand on top of the werewolf's head, gently stroking his hair to calm him down. Sure enough, Nicholas’ growling turned to soft purring. Geonu relaxed a bit knowing that the younger was cooling down, and now that he was thinking about it, Nicholas really did cool down. His fever had gone down considerably, from practically brain boiling temperature, all the way down to just a slightly warmer than should be temperature.
“Hey, how are you feeling by the way? It looks like your fever’s gone down, but I don’t know anything other than that.” Geonu asked. Nicholas hummed.
“Better. My body still aches and my head feels like it’s floating and the world might topple over, but it’s nothing compared to yesterday.” He said. Nicholas sighed and nuzzled deeper into Geonu.
“Right, but...I mean mentally too.” Nicholas was silent for a beat. More hesitant to answer this time.
“...Well...better than yesterday.” Was all he said. Geonu felt his gut twist with guilt again.
“Nicholas, I’m so sorry. Even if this didn’t happen, even if you didn’t need me after a full moon, I was being an asshole. I shouldn’t have ignored you and pushed you off to the side like I did. I was just so scared that if I went out on those dates with you, it would eventually ruin our friendship.” Nicholas slowly rose his head up at Geonu, with this look on his face that asked ‘What the hell are you talking about?’
“Geonu...what dates are you talking about?” He asked. Geonu hesitated in confusion.
“W-When...when you kept asking to take me out as a thank you. Weren’t you...asking me out? On dates?” Nicholas snorted.
“That’s what you thought? I was just asking you out…to hang out, not go on a date. I wanted to treat you as a thank you.”
Oh…
Geonu could feel the slightest glimmer of hope diminish. He thought...that Nicholas had feelings for him...oh. His chest...kind of hurt.
He must have made it obvious in his face that it kind of hurt, cause the goofy look on Nicholas’ face dropped.
“Wait, Geonu. Do you-”
“N-No! It’s not like that! I was just confused is all!” He said in a panic, quickly covering up the disappointment he felt. Why was he so disappointed anyways? This was a good thing, wasn’t it? That way he doesn’t have to worry about their friendship being ruined if something did happen between them.
“Are you sure?” Nicholas asked softly. Geonu feigned a smile and nodded.
“Yeah! I’m fine. Hey, now that I’m thinking about it, how about we go out then? Tomorrow, to the arcade, like you want. At this rate, you should be feeling better by then." Geonu said quickly, trying to divert his attention from the issue slowly surfacing. It seemedd to have worked because Nicholas' eye lit up, and Geonu was sure if he had a tail, it would be wagging right now.
"Oh my Gods, yes, please! Ah! We finally get to go hang out together!" Nicholas shouted, getting up on all fours and bouncing the bed in excitement. Geonu laughed as he bounced on the mattress beneath the younger.
***
"Are you sure you're feeling okay?"
"Yup!"
"And you're sure you want to go out with Geonu? He's gonna be around normal humans and we don't know how much control he has over himself."
"I'm literally standing five feet away from you." Geonu deadpanned to Youngbin, who was currently interrogating Nicholas about his condition.
"Well, maybe I felt like insulting you." He sassed back, hands on his hips and a disapproving frown on his face.
"We'll be fine Mom. If it'll make you feel better, we'll be back before midnight." Nicholas mocked, his usual playful smirk on his face. Youngbin rolled his eyes.
"Whatever." He mumbled before quickly pulling the older werewolf into a hug. Like Nicholas had done the day before, Youngbin let out small rumbles akin to purring as he nosed Nicholas' shoulder. Geonu couldn't help but roll his eyes, turning away because he could already feel himself get a little jealous. He shouldn't be, he knew that, especially since he got way more hugs and cuddles the day before from Nicholas.
"Alright. We'll be back soon, okay?" Nicholas reassured, pulling back when he returned the hug. Youngbin huffed.
"Yeah, whatever." He mumbled, then sent a glare over to Geonu.
Wolves. Always so protective of each other. Although Geonu understood where he was coming from, he was being a bit much. Part of it must be a part of the Post Full Moon Syndrome, seeing as he's unusually clingy and protective.
Making sure his daylight ring was on, Geonu followed Nicholas out and off the campus to the arcade a few blocks down. The whole way there, Nicholas clung to Geonu's side, and not once did the older think to brush him off. In fact, Geonu silently enjoyed the attention. Even if there was no romantic intention behind the hand holding and the head-on-the-shoulder thing that he was doing right now, Geonu was okay with it. He even enjoyed the feeling of his stomach flipping from his warmth and the softness of his hand in his own, and even the soft earthy lavender smell that always seemed to linger on Nicholas.
Now, coming to the arcade was a great idea. After paying for the both of them and getting quite the sum of game tokens, Geonu got sucked into how pretty Nicholas looked in the neon lights of the games and machines.
...Wow. Geonu has never though of Nicholas as pretty before. Of course, it was only after he decided he did in fact have feelings for the younger only for him to not return them that he started seeing Nicholas as pretty. It's not like he was unattractive (of course he isn't, and anyone that thinks he is needs to get their eyes checked), it's just that he wasn't pretty before.
Damn.
"What do you wanna play first?" Geonu asked. Admittedly, he's never been to an arcade before, but Nicholas didn't need to know that.
"Shit, I don't know. Maybeee...that one!" He pointed to what looked like a first person shooter game with blue and red plastic guns set up, ready to be used. And so they played, shooting up virtual zombies and having a laugh. Geonu was horrible at the game, and Nicholas wasn't all that great either, but it was still fun. And when they were done they moved on to the next one, and the next and the next until eventually a few hours had passed and all the tickets they collected were set in an overwhelmed bag, and Nicholas was asking for food.
So he bought the younger some pizza and soda and they sat at one of the dining tables outside of the gaming area. Geonu sat and watched as Nicholas ate his pizza like it was nothing. When the werewolf noticed he was staring, his cheeks became dusted in a light pink.
"...What are you staring at?" He asked a bit shyly. Geonu shook his head at him with a fond smile.
"Don't worry about it. I'm just glad you're eating. You didn't exactly get much in you the past few days." Almost immediately after, there was a crash of glass and a young girl crying. Almost just as quickly, Geonu caught a whiff of the sweet metallic scent of blood. He went ridged, having not fed in a week or two, and was just noticing how hungry he was getting.
"Hyung. Hey, Geonu hyung, look at me." Nicholas said, grabbing Geonu's hands from across the table. He caught Geonu's attention for a brief moment, but Geonu kept looking back for the blood. His mind was quickly zeroing in on the smell and where it was coming from. He could hear Nicholas' voice, but the twist of hunger in his belly and the smell of blood was distracting and absolutely mouth watering.
Suddenly his face was grabbed in a pair of soft hands and lips were pressed to him. Nicholas' lips. The earthy lavender covered up most of the smell of blood, and the warmth on his mouth was engulfed in a blazing heat. His eyes shut, unable to think clearly. The kiss didn't last long at all, but it was enough to grab Geonu's attention. When Nicholas pulled away and Geonu opened his eyes, Nicholas' face was blazing red and the smell of blood was long forgotten.
"Nicholas..." Was all Geonu could think of to say. His head was spinning and his mouth was still tingling.
"Sorry, you weren't listening to me and-"
"Do it again." He said. Nicholas blinked a few times and Geonu could hear his heart start racing. He smirked faintly, knowing that he was the one making Nicholas feel this way.
Nicholas kissed him again. Sure, he tasted like pizza and coke, but Geonu honestly didn't care. Nicholas was kissing him. Geonu was kissing back. It was slow and warm, and it left Geon feeling breathless. Something about the way their mouths seemed to fit so seamlessly together felt good. It felt right. The rumbling was coming from Nicholas again. Oh, right, he's purring. Geonu couldn't help the small giggle that bubbled up pin his chest, smiling into the kiss. Nicholas pulled away just enough to speak against his mouth.
"Don't laugh at me, I can't help it." He said with a small pout and a deeper blush Geonu giggled again.
"I'm not laughing at you, I just think it's cute." He pecked Nicholas' lips.
"My big wolf-cat." Nicholas bit is lower lip to try and hold back a smile. He failed and let out a small giggle of his own.
Before an employee (or God forbid some Karen) could come by and ruin this moment between them, they decided to have their tickets counted and take the receipt home for next time so that they could get the bigger prizes (and yes, they talked about coming by again as an actual date next time). They walked back home at dusk holding hands, though this time there was something more between them. Something with romantic intentions this time.
"So...do you wanna talk about...the kiss? And us?" Nicholas asked.
"Yeah," Geonu said. "I think we should clear everything up actually. Everything that we're feeling, thinking, and all of our intentions. Just so that there can't be any confusion." Nicholas nodded, eyes wandering as he began to articulate what he was going to say in his head.
"Okay, so to be honest I've kinda started to have feelings for you after I think the third or fourth moon we've known each other." Nicholas started. "That's why I started asking you out, and yes, I lied yesterday about my intentions but I was embarrassed because I thought you weren't into me and then you looked sad and I felt bad and-" Nicholas cut himself off once he realized he was less talking and more rambling.
"Sorry, anyways. So basically, I've liked you a while, and I still really like you...and I'm really glad you took me out today.....and that you weren't mad when I kissed you.......and that you kissed me back." Nicholas was so cute. His sharp cheeks and the tips of his ears were red, and his eyes were locked on the ground in a rather bashful manner. Geonu giggled at him and leaned up to kiss his cheek. It was so unlike Nicholas to be like this. Usually he was all goofy, smiley and unembarrassed about anything. Now, it was like he was the most bashful person in the world.
"Gods you're cute." That only made Nicholas blush more fiercely.
"Okay whatever. It's you're turn to explain yourself." Nicholas said, trying to revert Geonu back to the original topic.
Right. Geonu though about how he was going to explain all the complicated feelings and thoughts he has gone through the past several months of knowing Nicholas.
"Well...honestly I can't remember when I started to have feelings for you. It sort of happened out of the blue and it scared me a bit, because I knew you had some interest in me, and if something happened between us, I was afraid it would ruin our friendship." Geonu leaned into Nicholas' side, the younger squeezing his hand gently. "I started pushing you away because I didn't want us to get too close and then have all of it fall apart. I shouldn't have done that. All I did was hurt the both of us." Geonu stopped, Nicholas stopping next to him. He looked up at the werewolf and held his hand close to his chest.
"But I think...I'm okay with risking it. I really like you, and sometimes it feels like it's uncontainable. I don't think it's possible for us to continue as friends anymore, or at least not like it use to be. Now that we've expressed how we feel, both verbally and physically, it feels impossible for things to just go back how they use to a few months ago." Geonu stepped closer, their chests nearly touching as his eyes flickered down. Nicholas pressed his forehead to his.
"Nicholas, I want to be with you. I want to be more than friends. I want us to go out on dates, and not just at the arcade, I mean at fancy restaurants and walks to the park. I wanna go star gazing and have movie nights at the dorms. I want to hold your hand, hold you, kiss you-"
"Then kiss me Geonu hyung." Nicholas whispered, and he did. Geonu kissed him again. Nicholas rested his hand on the vampires cheek with his free hand. This kiss was different. It was deeper, more desperate. It felt more like they were melting into each other than just kissing. It felt right.
Nicholas captured Geonus bottom lip between his own. Geonu moved one of his hands up to Nicholas' hair, their mouths gently opening and closing against each other. Like gentle waves lapping at the shore of the beach, they found a push and pull rhythm they could easily get lost in. Nothing else mattered right now other that the two of them.
When they pulled away, they were breathless, lips swollen and shiny, and their bodies quaking for more. Instead, Nicholas dipped his head into Geonu's neck and started rubbing against him, the low purring coming back. His hair tickled Geonu's jaw, making the older giggle. He always seemed to be giggling around Nicholas now.
"What are you doing?" He asked the wolf-cat.
"Scenting you." Nicholas said quietly. Geonu felt a tingling sensation buzz under the skin of his cheeks and his stomach flip flop. Scenting sounded something akin to marking, and honestly it was flattering, and dare he say...kinda hot. The possessiveness of it, he means. He likes how possessive Nicholas is of him, of how badly he wants him and all for himself. He felt the same way Geonu did.
Geonu eyed the setting sun, and even at the brink of dusk he felt a little exposed out here on the open road. Even if there wasn't anyone here to see them, he was still afraid of the two of them getting caught, almost blushing impossibly (because he had no heartbeat) at the thought of someone maybe seeing them kissing earlier.
"Nicho I think it's time to go home." He said breathlessly. A small gasp left his lips when Nicholas planted a butterfly kiss at the place where in neck and shoulder meets. He pulled away finally, bumping his nose with Geonu's.
"Okay," he mumbled. "Let's go home."
