Chapter Text
Shouyou was tied to a cinderblock near the edge of the steps. Kuroo knew he could keep me contained. I would do whatever he wanted and he knew that. Thanks to this, I was allowed free roam of the basement as long as I did not let Shouyou go. I was grateful.
After Kuroo did what he did the other night, I took care of Shouyou. Kuroo left us down in the basement. I ran to Shouyou the moment I was let go. He looked up at me as the basement door shut. The blood coming from a gash on the top of his head was drying to his face. I used my left arm to cover him with a blanket.
"When I thought of being naked in your bed, this is not what I expected.” He said.
“Shouyou, I am sorry. I’m so sorry. You weren’t supposed to be a part of this. I didn’t want this.” He slowly reached his hand to my face and pressed his palm to my cheek.
“No, Kenma, I’m sorry. I’m sorry he found you again. I am sorry I came back. I just wanted to save you. I could see it in your eyes. You didn't want this. You wanted to leave.”
“I just didn’t want you to hurt.” I pulled away from Shouyou. I had tears running down my face. He didn’t need to see that. I walked over to the wall, eyes blurry. Anger flooded through my veins as I punched the cement wall with my only good hand. A scream escaped my lips. Blood started flowing down my hand.
“Kenma what are you doing?” Shouyou yelled out.
I heard chains rustle. I turned around to see Shouyou on the end of his lead, trying to get as close as possible to me. I fell to the floor, pulling my hand to my chest. I crawled to Shouyou to be close to him again. He grabbed my hand and lightly kissed my knuckles, blood smearing his lips. I tried to give a small smile. Seeing him like this was hurting me.
I carefully used my arm to help him get his shirt on. With a lot of work and maneuvering the clothing over the cinderblock, we were able to get his boxers on. I held him close as he began to cry. He wasn’t supposed to be involved in this and I knew it was my fault. I needed to make up for it. I did this the best I could and refused to leave his side.
I woke still holding Shouyou. He was leaning against my shoulder, blood still covering his face. That couldn’t have been comfortable. I got up and slowly walked up the stairs. The door was still locked. I walked back down and grabbed two water bottles from near my bed. There was a rustling behind me and then Shouyou sat down on my bed. I was surprised. The chain couldn’t reach that far. Sitting in his lap was the cinderblock he was tied to.
“I don’t think Kuroo is as smart as he thinks he is.” He says and winks at me. Of course. I forgot that cinderblocks were moveable. I sat down next to him.
“We need to come up with a plan to get you out of here.” I looked at him. He needed to leave. I wasn’t sure how we would do that but I needed him gone. I couldn’t see him get hurt anymore.
“Don’t worry. I already have a plan in place.” He looked at me and smiled. Just at that moment, a small knock came from the window in the corner of the room. It was a small window the size of an air vent. A familiar face showed itself in the window.
“Lev,” I whispered.
The door to the basement unlocked and Kuroo started walking down. Lev scurried off. I stood up quickly. Kuroo finished his way down and looked at me, a smirk across his face. Why did I ever decide to come back? Oh yeah, because he threatened to kill Shouyou. Look at how that turned out.
“Well, looks like you two had some fun. Hopefully, Shouyou, you realized he's not as good in bed as I am.” He laughed a little. I watched Shouyou stand up, cinderblock in his arms. “Ready for round two?”
Shouyou screamed as he ran to Kuroo and threw the cinderblock into his chest. Kuroo fell to the ground and the cinderblock broke against the cement floor. Shouyou grabbed my hand and we ran up the stairs together. We bust through the front door to the house. Lev came from around a corner.
“Shouyou I got here as soon as I could.” He gave Shouyou a hug. He walked over to me and brushed the hair out of my eyes before embracing me as well. “I’m so sorry Kenma.”
I held him and begin to cry. Shouyou was telling us we needed to hurry. Loud footsteps came from inside. Kuroo stepped out of the house screaming.
“Kenma you fucking asshole!” Cop cars pulled up to the house. They hurried out of their cars.
In slow motion, I watched as Kuroo looked toward the cars, a look of fear crossing his face. Then, he smiled and pulled out a gun. He aimed it toward me.
“I love you, Kenma.”
I heard a scream come from Shouyou’s direction. Next, was a loud pop of a gun.
