She was small as she stood before him. The omega was nothing particularly special to him. She was another woman sent to him as a sacrifice in hopes he’ll leave her village alone. She was no different than the many sheep and cattle sacrificed to him. She was just meant to serve a different purpose. The gold that dangled from her neck and wrists caught Sukuna’s eyes like it would any greedy monster. The obi of her kimono was loose, showing off the valley between her breasts, all the down to her belly button before closing up. The rest of her flesh was left to his imagination.
Sukuna’s lips spread in a wide smirk. He was lazily sprawled out over his throne, two arms crossed over his bare chest. Another arm was propped up on the arm of the throne with his chin resting in his palm. The fourth arm held his spear firmly, almost taunting her.
He pretended her honey sweet scent wasn’t absolutely intoxicating. He ignored the alpha in the back of his brain that yearned for this perfect little omega before him.
She trembled as he stood from his throne. Sukuna Ryomen was large. He had a thick frame and long legs. He was loud as he approached her. His heavy footsteps rang in her ears with every step closer, though her heart seemed to be hammering even louder.
One of his hands came up to grasp her chin, tilting her head up to look at his face. Tears swam in her eyes. He almost wanted to tear them out so he’d never have to see this stupid woman cry in front of him again. She was blessed to even be standing in his presence. How could such a beautiful piece of meat be so selfish?
“Tch,” he scoffed, lips drawing up in a scowl while all four eyes narrowed.
He focused on her face, and discovered that he rather liked the way she looked when she cried. Pain looked good on her. Both pain and fear. The tremor in her body would get annoying, but he did like the way it made her small and fragile. Very, very breakable. . . Like a mouse and he was a lion. This woman wasn’t even worthy of being his prey, too tiny and fragile, not fitting at all for a god.
“They’ve sent me such a pitiful woman,” he hissed. “What is your name?”
Four eyes narrowed on her as she hesitated. He squeezed her face and he could see the way pain flitted through her eyes.
“(Name).” she whispered.
Sukuna replayed the name in his head a few times. (Name). (Name). (Name). He wasn’t sure what was so enticing about her name, nor why he even gave her the pleasure of speaking in his presence.
“Hideous,” he snapped suddenly, a second hand abruptly wrapping around her throat and squeezing.
Sukuna wanted to hear the pleasurable crack of her neck breaking. He wanted to watch her eyes pale. He wanted to have her small body fall limp in his arms so he can drop her to the ground and discard her just like he did with any other less than perfect omegas. He wanted her to cry, beg for mercy, thrash in his hold when he made her think he wouldn’t kill her.
But she did none of the above. (Name) squeezed her eyes shut and waited for death to grasp her. Sukuna was disgusted by the way she accepted death so effortlessly. His lips curled in a deep scowl and he squeezed a little tighter around her throat.
Why was she not playing his game? Why was this woman so fucking imperfect?
Most of all, though, why was she so willing to die?
“Silly girl,” he let go of her neck, watching her body fall to the ground while she coughed, “like I’d give you what you want, death included.”
Sukuna truly was the devil.
His home was large, extravagant even. The next few weeks here, (Name) learned every single detail of it until she could picture it in her dreams. He was often gone, and every time he returned, he expected the annoying woman to be gone so he could hunt her down for a game. Unfortunately, (Name) never left.
Sukuna usually found her sitting on the balcony, overlooking the great valley that he, too, often found himself staring at. She was never looking at the valley, though. (Name) stared at the sky. He began comparing her to a caged bird with it’s wings clipped. She would never fly away from him, no matter whether her cage was left open, because her wings had been far too damaged for her to make much use of it.
Her wings, however, weren’t the thing he was interested in.
It was the late evenings, after the sun had set, he spent hours between plush thighs. Her moans were delicious, though nowhere near the delicacy of her juices when his long tongue lapped between her folds. She was tiny. He would break her with his cock and he wanted to keep her for a while longer.
Breaking her would be much more satisfying later on. . .
Sukuna found himself staring at her face on these nights. She cried for him, begged for more no matter how sinful. He wasn’t sure why he always gave her what she wanted. Perhaps she deserved a little spoiling before he ruined her. At least, that’s what he told himself. He was an alpha, the ultimate alpha, he would never listen to the commands and begs of a weak omega. (Name) was no whore, he knew that, but that was the exact thing he called her when he filled himself with her juices.
Sukuna had two hands holding her thighs, keeping her legs open while she squirmed from overstimulation. He didn’t care, even let her thrash a little while he dragged her over for another orgasm. Another hand was busy thrusting two long fingers into her tight cunt while his tattooed tongue lapped up everything she had to offer.
“You’re a whore, screaming like a bitch in heat,” he growled, smirking, “want me to break you? Split you in half with a cock you’re too small to take, omega?”
(Name) cried for him, delicate fingers holding tightly onto his silk sheets. “Please, please!”
Sukuna wanted to tear her open to her very core and see what secrets she was hiding. She had many, he knew it. Women like her who were sent away as a sacrifice often did. She was a sacrifice for the very same reason he was a curse. Secrets, betrayal, pain. All of those things he wanted to know about her. He wanted to break her emotionally and mentally before he broke her physically.
Sukuna wanted to see just how ruined she truly was.
He did also lavish himself in the omega side of her. He was drawn to her no matter how much he denied it. She was a delicate little thing that needed protection. The alpha part of him was stubbornly adamant on keeping her with him and protecting her. Sukuna wanted to ignore that piece of himself, but it was difficult. It was difficult as he used her body for his own pleasure, never giving her the full of it but always subtly making sure the omega was just as pleasured as he was.
Sukuna’s stubbornness would be his downfall, he just knew it.
He knew it as he pushed her thighs open and dragged his tongue along the soft flesh of her inner thigh. She panted, chest heaving, and clutched tightly onto the sheets. A third hand gripped her throat. He was careful with her. It would be unfortunate if his strength got out of control and he broke her little neck.
Sukuna sank his teeth into her inner thigh, drawing blood and not letting go even as she trashed and begged for mercy. Crimson eyes watched her every action. He even gave her the privilege to allow her to grab one of his biceps for something to hold onto. This wouldn’t be the last mark he left on her body. He knew it hurt, he knew she’d never been marked like this before.
It was rare to find such a pure omega. It must be the reason she was sent to him.
Sukuna released her. He sat up, dragging his tongue over his bloodied lips with a grin. She whimpered, glancing down at the injury. Sukuna couldn’t even deny the pride swelling in his chest as he stared at his mark on her flesh.
The hand on her throat loosened. He brushed his thumb over the unmarked skin of her neck, where the alpha inside him screamed to leave his bond mark.
“It’s too bad another alpha will never be one to mark you,” he growled, “you’ll die an unloved omega.”
(Name) trembled beneath him. She tilted her head to the side to expose her neck to him. She didn’t speak much, but her actions said enough.
Sukuna felt a growl rumble in his chest. He wanted to tear her throat out, give her a taste of regret before watching the light drain from her eyes. Frustration tugged at his core as he watched this pitiful omega expose her most vulnerable part of herself for him to steal for his own pleasure.
Still, he could not contain the tremendous urge to make her his.
He would never be alone if he had a small, omega mate like her. He would have a woman to be his. His belonging, his possession, his mate. It was an overwhelming desire that even a monster like him experienced, no matter how much he wanted to ignore it.
Just for a little while. . . I won’t keep her for long, he told himself.
It was easier than admitting he’d ever want to spend his life with someone.
Sukuna’s fingers grabbed her jaw and forced her head further to the side so more space was exposed to his hungry eyes. Without much more thought, he leaned down and sank his teeth into the side of her throat, marking her permanently his mate.
Over time, her body became more and more littered in scars of his possessiveness. He took pride in marking her even though he’d be the only one who saw her. He became more lenient as she became more obedient. After a while, it even began to seem as if she liked being with the king of curses. She’d become his mate out of his own desire to never be left alone, and now it seemed she was the one enjoying it.
(Name) lay on his chest, delicate fingers trailing over the outline of his pitch-black tattoos. He wasn’t sure why or when he’d let her become so comfortable in his presence, but he supposed he could tolerate it just a while longer. . .
Sukuna pretended he was doing it to deceive her. He pretended that the way he trailed his fingers down the bare expanse of her back was just a way to trick her.
“Alpha. . . ?” she spoke, voice quiet like a lamb.
He let out a deep hum in response, trailing one of his pointer fingers down the length of her pretty spine.
“Have you ever been in love. . . ?”
What a stupid question.
“No.”
Sukuna’s voice was gruff, harsh. He wanted that to be the end of it, and she knew it. She rested her chin on his chest and continued following the line of his tattoos. He just watched her, silently enjoying the way her fingers felt on his skin.
“Me neither. . . It’s the one thing I want to experience in this world.”
Sukuna chuckled, amused.
“How could you even think of something as pitiful as love when the world has been nothing but cruel to you? Don’t you think a lover would be equally as cruel? Besides,” he abruptly grabbed her by the waist and stared into her eyes with a burning flame in his own, “you’re mine. I own you, (Name). No one will ever love you.”
He did not miss the way her face fell. While it was the reaction he thought he wanted, it wasn’t the reaction he enjoyed. Sukuna felt stupid for not noticing the way her face had shined before as she spoke about love.
Surely she didn’t expect him to love her?
Sukuna suddenly found her honesty unsettling. He didn’t like the way his omega was pressed against him. He didn’t like the way she spoke so freely, like she had any right to tell him about what she wanted.
What the hell did he care?
He didn’t.
(Name) was his pet, his toy. He was going to break her the second he wanted to. She would never fall in love, not in this life. She had no right to tell him of her sick, sappy desire to be protected. Nothing would protect her from him. She was his omega. There would never be any other alpha.
Sukuna’s hands were shoving her off with a bit too much force than necessary. He stared down at the surprised woman on the floor, eyes narrowed into fine slits. (Name) suddenly looked terrified.
Sukuna was scary. He was chilling. The furious stare in his red orbs could tear her limb from limb if he so desired. Sometimes it was easy for her to forget just exactly who it was she spent her evenings with. The King of Curses was not someone who earned his name because of his kindness. He was someone who’s killed more people than she could ever fathom. He was a monster.
“Don’t talk to me like you have any right to fall in love,” he hissed.
(Name) flinched when a hand shot forward to grab her by the throat. She coughed, squirmed, kicked, and grabbed at his wrists. To her horror, a sick smirk spread across his face because at last she was struggling against him. At last, his omega had found her fear of death.
“You’re a whore, my whore, (Name)! No alpha will ever fall in love with an omega who spreads her legs for a monster,” Sukuna cackled. It was the most disgusting sound and sent tears pooling in her eyes.
How can a man be so cruel?
Even Sukuna wondered the same thing.
“Someday I’ll break you over my cock like the little whore you are. I’ll tear open you’re pretty little cunt and make you all mine, just as you are, and you’ll never know even a taste of love when someone finally sends me an omega I’ll enjoy and I can finally dispose of your pitiful existence. Don’t ever presume to speak to me about a disgusting thing like love, especially when you’re too wretched for anyone to find desirable.”
Sukuna dropped her to the ground. (Name) coughed, holding her bruised neck while her body tremored with sobs and coughs. He scoffed, leaning back against the many pillows in his giant bed while tearing his gaze away from her.
(Name) laid on the ground, hands over her mouth to conceal her sobs because she knew he hated the sound of her crying. It was hard, harder than anything else when her heart ached with a new kind of betrayal.
She wondered what she’d done to deserve this. . .
“Get out,” Sukuna snapped, “I can’t even look at such a disgusting creature any longer.”
(Name) could feel the heartache all the way down to her toes. She gathered up her kimono with trembling arms and was out of the room quicker than ever before.
Sukuna Ryomen was anything but kind, she knew that better than anyone. But he’d never been so cruel to her before. Even with harsh words and rough hands, this was the first time she ever saw the alpha so horrifyingly furious. She felt stupid for getting so comfortable, for letting her heart be taken so foolishly by the very devil she’d been in bed with. He’d rip it out of her ribcage before he ever cradled such a fragile little thing.
She had to remind herself that the only reason he made her his mate was to please his sick, twisted sense of humor. All her sacrifices, all her suffering, she figured everything was all for herself. It would never be for any other alpha, no matter how much she wanted it to be.
Besides, Sukuna was right, no one would ever fall for such a horrific woman. She wasn’t sure why she expected anything different. No man would take a used up and broken mouse. No alpha would come save her, and Sukuna certainly wanted nothing more from her than the tight hole between her legs before he, too, would throw her away just as everyone else has done before him.
(Name) found herself on the balcony. Her eyes were already adjusted to the dark, but they settled immediately on the stars far above. The distant lights that twinkled and gave her even a small purpose for existing.
If no one else were to admire them, at least she always did.
She pulled her kimono much tighter around her body. The air was cold, but she could barely feel it. She was often cold in this place. It wasn’t as if Sukuna cared of her well-being. She wasn’t sure how she’d managed to convince herself that he did.
Her bond mark burned. She wished she could tear it off.
Tears spilled down her cheeks. She continued staring at the sky, sitting on the cold stone of the balcony floor. She wanted to name all the stars, give them a purpose that she never had.
(Name) began with the brightest one.
A single star was easy to lose amongst so many other, identical ones.
She supposed she was exactly the same way. There was no one missing her existence, no one to mourn her death. There was no one to worry about whether she was eating or ask about the painful scars that marred her skin, or sooth cold skin with warm hands. No such comfort would come, because she was just as lost as the millions of stars hovering over her.
She was a small, fragile glow of a being; never bright enough to belong anywhere.
(Name) fell asleep that evening with a million names in her head, all for the stars, but never knowing where they belonged. She dreamt of the perfect alpha who would never come, an alpha who would love her. An alpha who would take down a million beasts just to protect her.
When her eyes opened the next morning, she’d expected to be outside. To her surprise, she was in a bed. A warm bed, the very bed she’d found comfort in the night before, before Sukuna spoke such cruel words. For a moment she feared she’d wandered back somehow. If Sukuna saw her here then he’d certainly be furious, and she just couldn’t bear to see that expression on her alpha’s face again. It would tear her apart—
“I brought you here.” Sukuna’s deep voice brought no comfort to (Name).
She trembled, clutching tightly onto one of the pillows. She laid on her side, back facing the monster of a man whose eyes seemed to be burning into her skin. She bit her lip to force back a sob threatening to build up.
Sukuna was going to kill her now. He was going to use her for the last time and take away this small ounce of home she’d found in his temple.
“You know to look at me when I speak to you, omega.”
(Name) certainly knew better. And she was always obedient.
She turned over to face him. One of his arms came to grab her hips and yank her small body against his. His frame was large, though she slotted against it just perfectly, like she was meant to be there. Another hand moved up to thumb away the tears in her eyes, an unusual act of gentleness from such a beast.
“Tell me more.”
She bit her wobbling bottom lip even harder, only releasing it to speak.
“A-About what, a-alpha?”
“From last night. Tell me what you wanted to say.”
It truly was the last thing (Name) wanted to talk about with Sukuna. She couldn’t bear his anger anymore. She simply couldn’t take it but knew the consequences if she didn’t. She hid her face against his chest and squeezed her eyes shut. Sukuna’s body was warm, so she found at least some comfort in that.
“There’s not much else to say,” she confessed.
“Liar.”
She flinched. Sukuna’s hand grabbed her chin and forced her to look at his face. It was unusually soft. All four crimson eyes were focused on her. Every single ounce of his attention was all on her, like she was the only interesting thing.
At the moment, though, she supposed she was.
“I-I just. . . I was hoping you would fall in love with me. . . because you’re my mate.” she whispered.
Sukuna could see her trying to keep from crying again. Her eyes were glassy with tears. Curse this alpha within him. It wanted to wipe away all her tears and make sure she never cried again. He resisted.
Though, he couldn’t seem to tear his gaze away from her.
“Do you really believe a god like me would ever fall in love with a pitiful creature like you?” he questioned, voice a heavy rumble.
(Name) trembled against him.
“I have to. . .” she whispered. “I have nothing else to believe in. Nothing else to hope for.”
Sukuna never answered. It was one of the few, rare mornings where he simply held her without asking for more. All four arms were secured around her body, keeping her pressed against his chest where the omega quietly traced the outlines of his tattoos and resisted the urge to cry.
He wasn’t sure when it happened again.
(Name) once again became more comfortable in his presence, just like before. Her small smile came back, so did the delicate fingers on his tattoos and a light in her eyes that never seemed to go away. Sukuna was annoyed with her, but he couldn’t find it in himself to stop her smile from showing up. Sometimes he’d even go so far as to be the one to cause a smile, mumbling some stupid joke under his breath to make a little bit of laughter bubble up.
He felt he was being cruel to her, especially now after he’d broken her once.
Why did she always come back? Why did she bounce back?
“(Name)!” he yelled, standing in the doorway to his temple.
Sukuna waited for the scurry of soft footsteps to approach him. It didn’t take long before he heard them. He was annoyed by the familiarity of it, but decided to push his anger aside because now the omega was in sight. Perhaps, even, it was her presence that’d soothed away that frustration.
“Yes, alpha?” she stood in front of him, blinking curiously up at his face.
“Hand.”
(Name) tilted her head. His upper right eye twitched in annoyance. He grabbed her wrist and lifted her hand. He dropped something in the palm of her small hand. The omega stared at it for a few moments, lips parting in shock.
A simple golden wrist cuff rested there. She cautiously brought it closer to examine it. Sukuna crossed two of his arms over his chest. A third hand impatiently tapped the base of his spear on the tiled floor.
“Well?” he snapped.
“I-I don’t understand. . .” (Name) said quietly, looking up at his face.
Sukuna scoffed. He uncrossed his arms and snatched the cuff from her hand. One hand held onto her arm while the other two put the cuff over her small wrist. He squeezed it closed so it was wrapped safely around her.
He stared down at her fragile wrist, now decorated in gold. An urge he couldn’t control made him lean down. He pressed his lips into the palm of her hand, before moving to the small amount of skin on her wrist where the cuff didn’t cover. Her honey scent filled his nose. He couldn’t resist sinking his teeth into her skin. (Name) winced, but didn’t pull away. He dragged his tongue over the crimson liquid that beaded from the wound.
“It’s a gift. An omega that belongs to me should look the part,” he muttered.
Sukuna released her. He walked past her to go clean himself of the dirtiness from the world outside. When he glanced over his shoulder, (Name) was quietly admiring the golden band around her wrist with eyes that shined.
She often admired this gift when Sukuna was gone, which was often.
Even now, as the omega sat quietly in the steamy water of the hot spring in Sukuna’s temple. It made up an entire room, something that even (Name) was surprised a beast like him would enjoy. She was glad for it. It soothed her aching muscles after a long evening, and gave her a safe space to think.
She trailed her fingers over the golden cuff, smiling at the way water droplets glittered from the metal. The omega leaned further into the water with a soft sigh. It was up to her collarbones now. (Name) shut her eyes and hugged her knees to her chest.
She was at peace only for a moment, before a familiar spicy scent snapped her out of her daze. She quickly opened her eyes and turned to look at Sukuna as he stepped into the water. Almost like it was an instinct, two of his arms wrapped around her and pulled her onto his lap. (Name) looked up at his face. Four crimson orbs stared down at her.
“I-I didn’t realize you would be back so soon, alpha. . .” she said quietly.
Two of Sukuna’s thumbs brushed over her bare lower back, rubbing soft circles into the skin. He averted his gaze and leaned his head back. (Name) sat patiently on his lap.
“I won’t be staying for long,” he said.
And that was all he said. He left it to her imagination to assume why he’d come back. Truly it was because he found himself hungry for her presence. Rather than saying anything else, he let two of his hands rest on her hips to pull her closer. He was craving the taste of her, the feel of her.
“Omega. . .” he growled.
(Name) knew exactly what he wanted and she wasn’t one to ignore his desires. His lips descended over her bond mark as four big hands began wandering her fragile naked body. She was in love with the feeling of him, and he was a carnal animal who’d convinced himself that he would never be in love with the tainted omega.
Sukuna, as he had promised, did not stay for long. He was gone when (Name) awoke the next morning in the silk sheets of his bed.
And he was gone for weeks. . .
(Name) sat outside the temple, staring up at the stars. She tried to focus on anything but the screaming desires of her omega as her heat washed through her. The heat in her body was only slightly soothed by the frigid cold air of the outside.
She wished her alpha was here. . .
The snapping of a branch brought her from her daze. She was instantly on her feet, facing the person who’d intruded the sacred space. Her eyes zeroed in on a man, a human man. He stared at her with a smirk.
“Thought I smelled an omega. . .” he chuckled, stepping closer.
(Name) bristled and took a step away. She growled quietly. She tugged her kimono tighter around her body, as if that’d help protect her. The man in front of her was an alpha but he wasn’t her alpha.
“Get away. This is Sukuna Ryomen’s temple. . .” she warned.
“I know,” the man raised his hand. “I came here to kill him.”
The omega tasted the bitter cold of cursed energy before green vines wrapped around her wrists and waist. She was hauled forward into the alpha’s open arms. She pushed at his chest frantically, tears welling in her eyes as panic set in.
“Let go of me!” she dug her nails into his shoulder.
The man hissed. The vines from his cursed energy wrapped tighter around her body. Thorns dug into her flesh. She heard the faint crack of metal before the golden cuff around her wrist fell to the ground in two pieces. The alpha ignored it completely and buried his face against the side of her neck, inhaling her sweet scent. He ran his tongue over the prominent bond mark on the junction of her neck and shoulder.
“You’ll make perfect bait, omega~”
When Sukuna returned after a few weeks gone, well, he naturally expected to find his omega patiently waiting for him. (Name) was gone. Sukuna was overwhelmed with fury at not finding his mate’s presence anywhere, even screaming for her to stop playing games and come to him.
She never did.
Of course, he had no choice but to go find her. After all, he’d said he would never let her get far; though, the more he thought about it the more he came to the realization that (Name) was his mate. His mate who never strayed far, who he’d broken entirely into obedience over the last few months. The mate who’d dared to stare at him like he was one of the stars in the sky. The mate who he, himself, had kept for far longer than he’d ever planned.
Sukuna knew better than anyone that she wouldn’t suddenly leave him. He knew better than to assume the worst in her. And he knew his assumptions were correct when he found the broken, golden cuff on the ground outside the temple. He could still smell the faint scent of her, along with another alpha.
Fury tore through the curse like a fire. Someone took his mate.
(Name) hoped, begged, that Sukuna would come look for her as she stared up at the human alpha in front of her. He had brown eyes that tore through her being. He looked like he wanted to eat her alive. Not something she was unused to, having been the only unclaimed omega in her whole village.
But now she was claimed. And by the King of Curses himself.
The man’s cursed vines tightened around her wrists and he reached forward to grab her jaw. She winced, terrified, but still dared to hold his gaze.
“What’s wrong with you, omega? Don’t you know how to submit to your alpha?” he growled.
“You’re not my alpha. . .” her eyes narrowed. “He is.”
The man laughed. He grabbed a handful of her hair and slammed her face down on the ground. She cried out, thrashing against his hold. Her cheek burned with a fresh cut from the gravel below.
“That monster is your alpha? Do you hear yourself?” he cackled. “How can you choose him over me; a human man who risked his life to save you?”
Tears welled in (Name)’s eyes. She shut her eyes tightly. At one point she knew she’d have wanted nothing more than to have a human alpha rescue her from Sukuna’s clutches. It was all she dreamed about for a long time. But she knew better, and despite the monster’s bad side, he had taken care of her since she met him.
Sukuna kept her well-fed, he let her bathe as often as she wanted, she had plenty to do around the temple, and lately he’d even gone so far as to make jokes and give her small gifts as “gratitude” for her services to him. She was dedicated to Sukuna now, both mind and body. She was in love with him as much as her omega yearned for him.
“C’mon, spread you’re legs for me, alright? It’s all you owe me for rescuing you,” the alpha man chuckled. “Besides, you’re in heat. You need an alpha~”
(Name) instantly began struggling. She frantically tried to knock him off, escape from his wandering hands but she was much smaller, naturally weaker than any alpha who pursued her.
She gathered as much strength as she could muster and sank her teeth into his arm. Iron filled her mouth but she didn’t pay it any mind. He had lost his hold on her and she was out of his clutches. She stumbled to her feet,
Fear surged through her as she ran. They were in a heavily forested area, she had no way of knowing which way to go but she did know she needed to get away from him.
Alpha. Alpha, help me. Please help me, Sukuna.
Tears streamed down her face. The alpha’s footsteps were right behind her. He was chasing her like she was his prey. This was just a game to him. She wondered if he made a habit of chasing poor, helpless omegas. It was hard to see because of how dark it was, but natural instinct had kicked in. She wanted nothing more in the world than to get away from this alpha who wasn’t hers.
(Name) ducked behind the safety of a tree when her legs screamed for a break. She covered her mouth and shut her eyes tightly. It was no use hiding. The alpha would be able to smell her scent. Her poor wobbly legs just couldn’t take anymore and this was all she had left.
Suddenly, she felt two arms around her middle and nearly screamed until a third hand came up to cover her mouth. Her eyes snapped upward to the burning crimson ones of Sukuna Ryomen. Tears instantly welled in her eyes and she’d never in her life thought it would be so comforting to see the monster. His scent filled her senses, soothing out her fears because she was finally safe. She was protected.
Sukuna’s four arms wandered over her body, searching for any other injuries. Save for some bruises and minor cuts, she was uninjured. Those were enough to send rage burning through him. He especially didn’t like the cut on her cheek which still oozed with warm, red blood.
He couldn’t resist leaning down. (Name) flinched a little when his sharp, tattooed tongue dragged over the wound. The alpha in him was begging to be there for his omega who was in heat, but he forced himself to ignore it.
“Are you okay?” Sukuna muttered, two of his wandering hands finally stopping to rest on her lower back and pull her into his chest.
If he wasn’t holding her, (Name) was certain that she would have collapsed. She savored the feeling of her mate’s warm flesh and the leather, cinnamon musky scent that was all his. He had come to save her and she warm and protected against him now.
To answer his question, she just nodded. It wasn’t a lie.
Sukuna hesitated a moment, before releasing his omega. When she looked up at him, his eyes were lit ablaze with fury. He rested one hand on the top of her head. He wasn’t looking at her, but instead in the direction of the human alpha who’d come into view. (Name) flinched a little at the deep growl that reverberated from Sukuna’s chest. She could physically feel the static of his cursed energy as rage radiated from his large form.
“Wait for me here, omega.” he ordered, voice baritone and heavy.
Sukuna didn’t wait for an answer. The second his body left hers, she clamped her eyes shut tight. She sunk to the ground and covered her ears, though it only served to muffle the sounds of breaking bones and shredding skin. She didn’t dare look up until Sukuna returned to her and told her it was okay.
A thick arm wrapped around her and pulled her up against a warm body. He buried his nose against the side of her neck, inhaling her scent. Cautiously, (Name) wrapped her arms around his neck.
There wasn’t any warning before his teeth sank into her bond mark. She whimpered a little, but savored the feeling of it nonetheless. She knew he would never say it, but the way he acted gave her all the confidence in the world. Even if he never loved her, even if he couldn’t love her, she knew he would always protect her.
At least. . . until the time came when he would choose to dispose of her.
The temple was very quiet when Sukuna carried his omega into their home. She was secure in two of his arms, face hidden against his chest. With him so close and his scent overwhelming, the affects of her heat were overwhelming.
He wanted to be annoyed. He wanted to make her walk the whole way back to the temple. He wanted to scold her for being so weak and pathetic that he had to waste his time to save her. Sukuna wanted to do a lot of things (at least he told himself he wanted to), but did not a single one. He’s a demon derived from his own pleasure and he knew doing any of those things wouldn’t satisfy him.
“Stupid woman,” he muttered, carefully laying her in his bed. “You’ve wasted the whole night that I’d rather have spent doing other things. What a useless little thing, you are. . .”
Sukuna brushed one of his thumbs over the cut on her cheek. It bothered him to no end. He wanted to cover it up. Hell, he regretted ever seeing it in the first place. He had no idea why such a small little thing was causing him to be so fucking angry. Even after he’d taken pleasure in tearing that alpha man limb from limb and choking him on his own liver, Sukuna wasn’t pleased.
(Name) stared up at her alpha. Her cheeks were flushed. She used the little amount of confidence she had to reach up to touch his face. She brushed her thumbs over his cheekbones, just below his lower set of eyes.
“Omega,” Sukuna growled, two of his hands finding their way to her waist, “why didn’t you tell me you were going into heat?”
He knew it wasn’t her fault. He was gone so often and he’d missed nearly all of her heats since she’d come to him. It was his own fault she was suffering alone. Still, he couldn’t admit it. Sukuna was still furious over the fact that another alpha had found his way to his omega. He was furious that another alpha had touched her, left his scent on her, all while she was in heat and obviously claimed.
That night, in the confines of their temple, it was Sukuna who worshiped her. He worshiped her as he drank up every drop she had to offer between her thighs. He worshiped her as he, at last, sank her small body onto his girth with a gentleness he’d never found in himself before. She cried into his chest as he stretched her beyond her limits, certain she was going to be torn in half. He worshiped her as he kissed away the tears streaming down her face and watched her tiny body accommodate his size while he remained uncharacteristically patient.
It seemed that breaking her on his cock wasn’t what he wanted, and what he wanted was all he cared about.
“I-It hurts, alpha,” (Name) whispered, trembling.
“You can take it, omega. . .” he mumbled, pressing a hand down on her belly where a small bump had formed. “You’re built for me and me alone, aren’t you?”
She tangled one hand in the red hair on the back of his head, pressing her face into his neck while the pain gradually faded into a dull throb. He eased in a little further, until her body could simply take no more. One of his hands gripped tightly onto one of the pillows beside her head. He wanted to be patient with her. He wanted to take care of her. For all his many faults, this was the one he came to regret. Sukuna regretted letting another alpha come close to her. It made him furious to know it was his fault.
He pulled his hips back, before snapping forward again. (Name) cried out for him. He loved the sound of his name on her tongue, and couldn’t resist the urge to kiss her despite all her pretty sounds.
It was the first time he’d ever kissed her. She moaned into his mouth with every harsh thrust of his hips. He was too much, too big, but she wanted more, more, more. His tongue tangled with hers, filling her mouth with nothing but the taste of her alpha as his possessiveness overwhelmed them both in every sense.
Sukuna growled, pulling his lips from hers to bring to her neck. He sank his teeth in to the bond mark for the second time that night. Two of his hands held her thighs far apart, letting his hips slot easily between them as he fucked his omega into oblivion. (Name) screamed for him and Sukuna was certain that was the only sound he wanted to hear for the rest of his existence. A third hand wrapped around her throat, squeezing only slightly but he could feel the way she tightened around his cock from the feeling.
Sukuna focused on her face beneath him. Her crystal eyes stared up at him, sparkling and lit ablaze with pleasure. Pride surged through him because this was his omega. His. His. His. His. His omega.
He wanted her to be his for eternity. He would tear down the whole world for both their pleasure.
“Who do you belong to, omega?” he spoke, baritone voice more of a growl.
(Name) whimpered. One of her small hands wrapped around his thick, tattooed wrist when he gave her throat a squeeze.
“Y-You, alpha.”
“Say my name,” Sukuna’s other hands tightened around her thighs as his hips continued snapping forward in a furious assault.
She was close to the edge, he could feel it. So was he. He spread her legs further apart and looked down to watch the way she struggled to accommodate his size.
“I-I belong to you, Sukuna!” (Name) cried.
He grinned. His biceps flexed each time he thrusted. Her hands frantically wandered his shoulders, chest, abs. She wanted to feel as much of him as she possibly could before this moment ended.
“Think you can take my knot, omega?” Sukuna chuckled.
She nodded her head, staring into his eyes. She hadn’t even hesitated. Sukuna was certain this was what love felt like. This, right here, in this very moment. He had the perfect omega. All his.
Sukuna released her throat. Two of his arms wrapped tightly around her. He rested his hands on the flat of her back and pressed his hips forward completely, forcing his knot into her and locking them together. He didn’t even flinch when her teeth sank into the side of his neck as she came.
Sukuna’s third hand carefully rubbed circles into her lower belly, where he could feel the bump of him inside her. He wanted to ease the soreness. He loosened his grip slightly, letting the omega tiredly slump in his arms. She breathed heavily, staring up at his face without any fear.
With a heavy sigh, he rolled them both over so he was flat on his back and she laid on his chest. It would be more comfortable for her until he could pull out. (Name) rested her chin on his chest and stared at his face. She wanted to reach forward to touch him, but even her arms were too tired to move.
Instead, it was Sukuna who brought a hand up to cradle her face. He brushed his thumb over the cut on her cheek. She leaned into the warmth of his touch and let her eyes shut.
Sukuna watched his omega fall asleep and wondered when he’d done the exact thing he told her he’d never do. He wondered when he’d allowed himself to fall so deeply in love with a human woman. It was never meant to be this way. She was meant to be a short game of his. She was meant to be another waste of space who he temporarily entertained for his own benefit.
How had the King of Curses allowed himself to become so entirely entwined in her existence?
Sukuna knew he could stare at her for eternity, if the world would ever allow it.
But it wouldn’t.
She was a human with a short life. She would hardly take up much of his existence. Her time and his time would be very different things. It ached him to no end knowing she would die without much more meaning than having been something that belonged to Sukuna Ryomen.
It was Sukuna who’d been cursed by humans. These tattoos chained him to be the curse he is now and he hates them for it. He never wants to be the one to bring the same curse onto someone else.
Alas, Sukuna knew, when the time came, it would be him who would curse her with the same fate. It would be him who would take her life, and it would be him who would further bind her to him for an unfair eternity as the same kind of curse he’d become. Perhaps his omega would hate him for it. It’d bring her unimaginable amounts of pain. Still, he wanted her by his side for his forced eternity.
These thoughts were the only ones that ever brought any sense of grief to the curse, especially as he stared down at her sleeping form. For reasons he could not fathom, this omega trusted him. She trusted him enough to sleep here with him. She trusted him enough to accept him. And she certainly trusted him enough to accept his many gifts. . .
The next gift for his omega, he decided, would be eternity. No simple golden cuff would ever compare to the ultimate gift he would bestow upon her with his own cursed energy.
He would find pleasure in being the one to take (Name)’s life, but he would find more pleasure in bringing her back to fulfill his unwavering desire to never be left alone. Even if she was a curse just like him. . . It would be (Name) who he would tear the world apart for, and it would be (Name) who would become the center of his universe.
Perhaps Sukuna Ryomen’s selfishness truly knows no bounds. . .
