Chapter Text
“This is stupid Bela.” Gabriel said as they stood against a wall and watched the room. “Sam doesn’t even want me here.”
“Yes he does, he just doesn’t know it.” Bela replied, straightening his tie. “There now you’re perfect. He’s just over there.” She nodded across the room to where Sam stood in conversation with an older couple. “Go to him.”
“I don’t…I can’t.” Gabe confessed. “I’m scared.”
“I know you are, but sometimes a little fear is good.”
“I think I need a drink first.” Gabe said.
Bela waved a waiter over and took two glasses of wine from his tray.
“Here, drink up.” She clinked their glasses together and they sipped their drinks. “Better?”
“No.” Gabe sighed. “I don’t know why I’m even here. He’s had weeks to contact me and he didn’t…and it hurt. And now we’re in the same room and he hasn’t even glanced my way.” Gabriel sighed and handed Bela his empty glass. “I’m leaving.”
“Gabriel, no, please. We came all this way.” Bela pleaded.
“I’m sorry. This just…it hurts too much.”
Gabriel walked past Bela and headed to the door. Bela followed behind doing everything she could to delay his departure. She lingered by the door once Gabe walked through it trying to figure out if she should follow or go get Sam, when she saw the alpha in question heading her way, and in a rush. She pointed toward the door.
“I got him here, the rest is up to you.” She said as Sam approached.
“Thanks!” He said as he rushed out the door after Gabe.

Sam rushed down the stairs following after Gabriel. He could scent him in the air and followed the lead. He turned the corner onto the lower deck and saw his mate.
“Gabriel!”
Gabe stopped and turned back toward Sam.
“Sam?”
Sam rushed forward and stopped a few steps shy of the omega.
“You came.”
“Yeah.” Gabe replied.
“I..I…um…” Sam stammered, his scent was filled with nerves, and fear and loss.
“Sam, I…” Gabe seemed just as lost for words as the alpha. “I’m…What I said …”
“I’m sorry Gabriel.” Sam rushed on.
“You…you’re sorry?”
Sam nodded.
“I’m sorry I did this to you. I’m sorry I’m an idiot. I’m sorry I made you go away. I’m sorry I hurt you. I’m sorry I’m a great big nut case. I’m…I’m just so sorry. Please, please forgive me?” He begged. “Please come home? I miss you.”
“I miss you too, but I don’t know. I…I want too.”
Sam could smell the tentative hope in Gabriel’s scent.
“I’m back in therapy. I know it doesn’t mean much, but I swear, I swear, I’m going to do everything I can to make this up to you, to show you I can be better, that you make me better.”
“It’s not that easy.” Gabe said.
Sam was silent for a moment and just as Gabriel was about to give up and walk away.
“I love you.” Sam said. It was barely more that a whisper, but it echoed loudly around Gabriel’s head.
“You do?” Again that warm scent of hope flared.
“I do.” Sam nodded. “I always have, I was just stupid and scared and I thought, I thought if I didn’t admit it I could keep you safe, but all it did was drive you away.”
“I love you too.” Gabriel said.
“Could it be that easy?” Sam asked hope flaring in his own scent. “We just admit we love each other and we get to start over again?”
“Again, again…again?” Gabe said his breathe shaking.
“Again.” Sam laughed, his own breathing stuttering.
He reached down and took Gabriel’s hands.
“I am miserable without you. Please, can you give me one more chance. I know…I know I don’t deserve it, but please…please?” Sam asked as a tear lid down his cheek.
“You’ll stay in therapy?” Gabriel asked.
“Yes.”
“And you’ll talk to me?”
“Only if you promise to talk to me.” Sam countered.
“Deal.”
Sam’s right hand slipped down Gabriel’s left and his thumb brushed over the empty space at the based of his ring finger. He shook his head and tsked. He put his hand into his into his pocket and withdrew Gabe’s ring. Dropping to one knee he took Gabriel’s left hand again.
“Gabriel Melvin…”
“Winchester.” Gabe whispered.
Sam chuckled and nodded.
“Gabriel Melvin Winchester, would you do me the honor and momentous kindness of forgiving this dense, moronic, idiotic, blind, stupid, ungrateful…”
“Okay, that’s enough, you’re ruining my proposal.” Gabe said.
“Right. Would you do me the honor of becoming my mate, my husband, my partner in life, rescinding all other contracts, verbal and otherwise, legally binding or not, and marry me…again?”
“I will, but we’re keeping my contract.”
Sam let out a relieved laugh and slipped the ring back on Gabriel’s finger where it belonged. He stood and drew his mate in for a long, tender kiss.

Hiding on the stairwell, Bela ducked back around the corner and pressed back against the wall and clapped her hands quietly, letting out a silent cheer before moving back up the stairwell.
“Did you get any that sweetheart?” She quietly asked.
“I think I got the gist of it.” Balthazar replied through the speaker of Belas cell as his smiling face filled the screen. “Those two knuckle heads had better not pull any of this crap again. I swear I was about to fly home and give that alpha a piece of my mind!”
“I know love, but it’s all taken care of now.” Bela smiled back.
“That it is. Good job darling.”
“It’s what I do.”
Balthazar and Bela bid each other goodbye and Bela slipped her phone back into her purse. Her work was done, now to go back and enjoy the party.

“I, Samuel, take you, Gabriel, to be my lawfully wedded husband.
I promise to love, honor, cherish and respect you and to always view you and treat you as my equal.
I will value your opinion and encourage and nurture your sense of wonder and enthusiasm and follow you on each and every adventure, no matter how whack-a-Doo it may seem.
I promise to face every trial, worry, doubt and dark cloud with you by my side and will ALWAYS keep you safe from any threat or harm.
I will love only you Gabriel until the day I die.
These are my vows to you.”
“I,Gabriel, take you, Samuel, to be my lawfully wedded husband.
I promise to love, honor, cherish and respect you.
I promise to listen to your advice, even if I don’t follow it, and promise to keep you on your toes and your days never dull.
I promise to always make your gross shakes for breakfast and only force you to eat bacon on the weekends.
I will be your greatest supporter and walk beside you through whatever hurdle life throws at us and we will clear them together and it’s a good thing I’m shorter than you because I will always be your shoulder to lean on..
Without you, Sam, I don’t know what my life would have looked like, but I do know, that you saved me. You took me in when I was most in need and you are my shelter. You have given me more than I have ever dared to wish for.
I love you Sam and I will continue to love you until my dying day.
This is my vow to you.”

Sam leaned against the balcony railing looking out over the water. As he watched the waves rushing past and the occasional spray of back wash hit his bare skin, a small smile lingered on his lips, truth be told it hadn’t left for the last month. Deeply breathing in the salty ocean air he realized that for the first time in as long as he could remember he finally felt at peace. He turned his head to the right as a large warm hand brushed across his shoulder.
“Morning.” He said, his smile widening as his husband leaned against him and kissed his shoulder.
He looked down and was only slightly grateful that Gabe had slipped on a pair of candy design sleep pants before he walked out onto the balcony. Gabriel had become somewhat of a nudist within their cabin since they had boarded the cruise liner, of course that could have something to do with the fact Sam would have him stripped naked three minutes after stepping into the suite, four if one of them had to use the bathroom.
“Good morning. You’re up early.” Gabriel said wrapping his arms around his Alpha.
“I like to watch the sun rise.” Sam replied as he placed an arm around Gabes shoulders and pulled him in front of him, boxing him in so his back was flush against Sams chest. “Did you sleep well?”
“Sleep, pass out from sheer pleasure and complete sexual exhaustion...eh.” Gabriel said with a shrug.
Sam chuckled as he bent and began to place small kisses along Gabriel’s shoulder, wrapping one strong arm across his stomach to keep him close. Not that Sam was ever going to admit it to anyone but the smell of Gabriel still warm from their bed, relaxed and sleepy had to just about his favorite scent in the world...not that he was going to admit that.
“So Dean called.” The omega in his arms began, tilting his head slightly.
“Mmmmm?” Sam replied as he continued with the tender kisses.
“Cas is feeling a bit better today.”
Sam chuckled.
“Who’d have guessed Cas would be the one to get sea sick?” He asked as he moved to nuzzle Gabe just below his ear.
“I know right?” Gabriel replied tilting his head further to give Sam more access. “So we organized to meet on the Poop Deck.”
Gabriel could feel his alphas lips smiling against his flesh just before they disappeared.
“You just wanted to meet there because you and Dean love saying ‘poop’!” He said into Gabes ear, his deep voice sending shivers down his body.
“Maybe, but anyway, I told them we’d meet them in 20.”
“Mmmm hmm.” Sam answered as he tightened his grip around the other man and continued to kiss him while tracing tiny circles with his finger tips on Gabes stomach.

Gabe stood there, hands lightly gripping the railing and his back pressed tightly against Sams chest and closed his eyes. He could feel his alpha...no husband...kissing his neck, causing all kinds of reactions that, after the last four nights, he should be either immune to or way too tired for. There was no urgency to the way Sams lips moved across his skin, no demands in the way his fingers were caressing him, just above the band of his sleep pants. This was never what he wanted. To be owned, to be claimed, to be married, none of that was ever on his agenda, but now, standing in the early morning sun with Sams strong arms around him and his amazing lips tenderly worshipping his flesh he couldn’t think of anything he wanted more.
“I wish it could be like this for ever, I wish we never had to go back.” He said softly.
Sam hummed and rested his head on Gabriel’s shoulder. The omega didn’t have to open his eyes to know that Sam was gazing at him with own his soulful hazel orbs.
“Would be nice, wouldn’t it?” Sam replied before moving his seductive attack to the omegas jawline.
Gabe leaned his head back against Sams shoulder and sighed, opening his eyes and watching the waves.
“It’s beautiful here.”
“Not as beautiful as what I’m looking at.” Sam murmured in his ear.
Gabriel smiled. Right at that moment he couldn’t have felt any more fulfilled. They stood like that for a few moments longer, Sams lips pressing against his skin and his fingers moving across his stomach, never moving lower, never making demands.
“Thank you.” Gabe said.
“You’re welcome.” Sam smiled against his shoulder.
“No, I mean it. Thank you!”
“For what?” Sam asked.
“For this, for everything. For asking Cas and Dean to come, for paying for them to come! I mean it’s our anniversary slash honeymoon, you didn’t have to bring them along.”
“Seemed like a good idea. We’ve all been through a very stressful year and this way you can reconnect with your brother and I can reconnect with mine, we can all become a family again.” Sam shrugged and moved back to Gabe’s shoulder, this time grazing his teeth across his claiming mark.
“Mmmm, if you keep this up I don’t think there will be very much reconnecting with either sibling but I can guarantee you there will be a whole heap of ‘connecting’ in this room!” Gabriel said as he spun in Sam’s embrace and wrapped his arms around Sam’s neck.
“Thought you wanted to go to the poop deck?” Sam smiled down before placing a chaste kiss on Gabe’s lips.
“Hmmm, yeah we’ll get there. Hey do you really think there are cameras out here?” He asked looking around.
“Not sure.” Sam replied.
“How much do you think the fine would be if we get caught having sex out here on the balcony?” Gabe asked.
“Dunno, do you want to find out?” Sam replied pressing his (permanently) semi hard penis against his omegas.
“Hmmm, not right now, but tonight, I think you sitting in that chair, a good scotch and me on your cock, letting the waves do all the work for us is something I’m willing to gamble what ever the fine might be.”
“Fuck Gabe, what you do to me.” Sam said shaking his head and pulling Gabe in so he could kiss him harder.
Any chance to take things further were interrupted by a fierce banging on their door.
“Yo! You two lose your watches someplace or what?” Dean yelled through the door. “Cas is close to puking again so zip up and get your asses out here!”
Sam and Gabe pulled apart with a chuckle.
“Yeah, okay bitch!” Gabe yelled as he leaned around Sams wide body. “Thanks for the bucket of cold water!”
He stepped around Sam to go answer the door before Deans yelling got them all into trouble but stopped when Sam grabbed hold of his left wrist. He turned to look at the younger man who was gazing at him as if he was his entire universe.
“What?” He asked.
Sam stepped closer and brought Gabriel’s left hand up to him mouth, kissing the titanium ring that adorned his finger.
“I love you Mr. Winchester.” Sam said softly.
“I love you too... alpha.”
