Summary:

Both Shouyou and Kei were tired from work, but thank Kami-sama that itʼs finally weekend. Maybe now, they can finally rest together.

Or: a snippet of domestic life in Tsukishimaʼs household, where Kei and Shouyou are married and have adopted kids.

Notes:

What am I even supposed to say? Oh wait, I have. This is a short one-shot, you can call it a fluff or just a normal one, itʼs clearly on you. Also, no beta, we die like Daichi. A crappy fic, if I should say since I wrote this in the middle of the night where I canʼt sleep even though Iʼm tired and sleepy. But please do enjoy it. Any form of support is highly appreciated, thank you in advance. Have a nice day or night everyone. And I'm out.

Edit: Someone just made art inspired by this and itʼs so adorable! Itʼs on the comment section if you wanna see it, please support the artist, thank you!

Work Text:

The cold wind clashing with the curtains by the bed, constantly startling the two couples cuddling, listening to each otherʼs heartbeat. The ginger head snuggles closely to the blond in his side, tucking his head in the blondʼs collarbone, sniffing the morning scent of the latter.

Itʼs have been like a week since they can finally be like this; weekdays full of work, children, work, children. They havenʼt even slept like this warm in a while. They havenʼt been in each otherʼs arms, havenʼt been waking up, cuddling on the bed, waiting for the sun to rise and get the day started.

The blond starts to grunt in coldness, getting all even more cuddly than before, bringing a soft smile to the ginger in front of him. He opens his eyes, eyeing his beloved, blowing air through the gingerʼs hair, waving like grass on a windy day.

He presses his chin and closes his eyes once again, humming a song they both love. Shouyouʼs eyes softly shot up by the song heʼs hearing; he joins him, and harmony starts to rise, setting their ears into full bliss.

They hum... and hum out of love, secretly lowering their voices once in a while to listen to their belovedʼs voice. And eventually breaking their hug to stretch... and, well, hug again, but with their forehead touching each other.

The ginger slowly comes closer, closes his eyes, seemingly to kiss the blond, only to feel a finger stopping him. He openly asks him why, and the blond grunted, “morning breath, hun.” Shouyou just sighs and sat up, clearly eyeing the slightly open window from their bed, slipping a seam of light from the bright sun.

Keiʼs hand on his waist, he got up and walk towards the bathroom to start his day: by washing his face and brushing his teeth to, of course, finally kiss his demanding husband on the bed.

The blond grunts at the loss of touch but doesnʼt want to get up, and so he stays... and stays until he had enough. Picking up his glasses on the table beside him, he ruffles his hair, and yawns out of frustration. He walks towards the bathroom and sees the ginger brushing his teeth with one hand, and the other hand raised, seemingly to ask for a hug.

He walks, picks his toothbrush up, puts a toothpaste, handing it over his mouth, and picking up Shouyou with both of his hands, placing him beside the sink, and finally brush his teeth.

The ginger on his side also continues what he was doing, scratching his eyes out of habit and yawning against the blondʼs shoulder sending warm air to Keiʼs.

And after a while, both of them finished, finally giving each otherʼs a peck in a pure bliss theyʼve all been waiting for. Kei broke the kiss, receiving a grunt from the ginger head, smiling, putting both of his palms on the gingerʼs head, bringing it down, and place a kiss onto Shouyouʼs forehead.

They both close their eyes, feeling a group of butterflies flying in their stomach.

Itʼs almost been 8 years since their marriage, but the love they feel together from the very start didnʼt change. The feel of wanting each otherʼs kiss, the feeling of wanting to be a hug, the feeling of wanting to be cared for... it didnʼt change.

Ever since they met each other, they knew theyʼre made for each other, they knew theyʼre soulmates, they knew... they knew that they finally found a home, they knew that this is their home.

“Hey, donʼt fall asleep now. The kids are probably waiting for us in their room to greet them,” the blonde said as he sees his love almost falling asleep on his shoulders. He softly ruffles the gingerʼs hair as a form of endearment.

“Five more minutes.” The ginger yawns through his half-lidded eyes and smiles directly on Kei for consideration.

Itʼs Saturday, and yesterday was Friday. He was restless that day, giving his all to finish the task heʼs given.

He wants to sleep, rest, but he canʼt. He has responsibilities to do, and one of them is to cook for their growing kids.

“Itʼs almost 7 in the morning, love. We need to make breakfasts.” Feeling a shake in his shoulder, Shouyou finally opened his eyes.

“Okay, okay, Iʼm awake now, donʼt be mad.” It made Kei giggle, even placing a soft kiss on his beloved cheeks.

If itʼs Kei from his high school, this surely wouldnʼt happen, but it did, actually. Keiʼs sweet side can only be seen when heʼs with his love; smiling, laughing, all because of his family, all because of their home, all because of them... feeling they are finally home.
