Work Text:
From Felize Navidad to Last Christmas everything was on the radio. It made Ango frown but he didn't bother to change the channel. Perhaps he could use his phone for music, but the energy would run down too soon which would frustrate him even more.
He looked out of the window and watched the snow falling on the ground. Ango had no idea how late it became when the office was silent and the last of his subordinates called their goodbye and a Merry Christmas. All of them went to their families, which was perfectly fine with him. But something made his heartache.
When he would get home to his cold, empty flat he would only see the kitchen with the dinner he took home the last before. He would only see his coffee machine and the TV in the living room.
It would show him how ane he was and how this might ever change.
He turned the radio down and walked outside his office to see a package on the table of his assistant Mizuki Tsujimura. A letter was there but she seemed to be gone. Carefully he walked to the table and grabbed the letter, her handwriting was to the difference messy and large. It made him smile a bit.
Sakaguchi-senpai,
I am sorry for not handing this over to you personally but I decided that waiting for you might not be a good idea. Since I know you keep working long even on Christmas I went home. I hope you´re not mad though.
I want to wish you a very great Christmas and hope you can enjoy this small package. Don't worry about a present in return for me, I know you usually don't bother with such things.
Enjoy this and as I said a great Christmas :)
Mizuki T.
PS: I hope the brand is okay with you, I had no idea which Whiskey you prefer.
A small smile appeared on his face as he brought it in his office. Carefully he placed the card between his PC and the wall it leaned on, he would later look for a place to keep it. He decided it would be stupid to throw it away.
Beyond the paper was a box, it was large and did actually take half the space on his table. When he opened it he put out an unhealthy amount of Energy Drinks, what made him smile. Then he saw nearly the same amount of coffee for his personal machine at home. When he told her which machine he had slipped shi memory but he was still pretty grateful to see this.
What made him nearly tear up was the expensive brand of Whiskey inside. He once had this bottle and was so careful not to drink it too fast since it would take too much money. And here Mizuki bought him one bottle without any wishes.
He placed the box with everything inside to his other chair and looked for some paper. He would at least write her thanks, perhaps after the public holidays, he would look for something small as a present.
As he planned after the whole day afterwards he was in a department store, it made him itching to go there in his break but decided that that's all he could do for her. He saw a clothes store as something caught his eyes. A small smile appeared on his face, this was what he was looking for.
Buying it took even longer since people were nearly everywhere to return the stuff they didn't want. The shop clerk looked at him and smiled gently. “Something for your girlfriend? It's pretty late though.” he blushed and negated. “A late Christmas gift, I missed buying something earlier.” she smiled. “Then shall I put it in a box?” he nodded. “If you would, this would be nice.” she did as said and handed the box over. “I am sure she likes it, girlfriend or not.” she winked what made Ango blush even harder.
When he was back at the office he placed the package on the table with the card he wrote. He didn't wait for her as he looked at the card.
Tsujimura-san,
Thank you so much for the present you gave me, I know this is not much compared to the Whiskey you gave me but I still hope you would like it. Even though it's a bit late I still hope you enjoy the present and I hope you see some use in it.
A late happy Christmas and I hope you stay healthy and save.

When she was here he heard a happy squeal as she knocked on the door. Her eyes were lit up when she saw the silver looking scarf. “Sakaguchi-senpai? Thank you so much!” She smiled happily as she wanted to hug her boss. He smiled back and stood up. “I have to thank you, the things you gave me was so much and even if this scarf cannot make it up to the thing you gave me, I hope you like it.” she nodded. “Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.'' Then she went out and saw Ango sigh while sitting down. A small smile was on his face. “Glad you like it.”
