“Don’t move,” Rey commands. She lifts a shaking hand and traces the curve of his nose with her index finger, leaving just a fraction of space between their skin. He’s still just staring at her, his eyes wide, and she swallows thickly. “Don’t move at all. Okay, Ben? Don’t scare me.”
She steels herself and presses the pad of her thumb against his mouth.
