Chapter Text
Izuku <3: be safe we’ll be home when you get back!
You: fuck yeah
A cup was set down on the table across from Bakugou, and he looked up to see that All Might had returned with his coffee.
“You look happy!” he commented proudly, taking a seat. Bakugou scoffed slightly.
“I’ve told you a million times that I am,” he protested, and All Might laughed.
“Yes, but it’s good to see it in person,” he said. “You look like you feel better.”
“I do,” Bakugou admitted.
After discovering that All Might had been at the hospital the day Bakugou ran away because he’d been going through chemo, Bakugou had actually helped encourage the man to come clean to the world about his battle with cancer. His sudden disappearance from the spotlight and his change in appearance made a lot more sense then. It wasn’t long before he was finished, however, and the MMA champion had regained his iconic form and headed back to the ring. After a few months abroad, he’d finally returned and asked Bakugou to meet up for coffee.
It had been nice to help the older man in return. He’d done a lot for Bakugou, helping him get in touch with the resources he needed to get better and encouraging him through the process. He’d had a pretty major relapse during the time All Might was gone, but his friends and boyfriends had helped him survive it. All Might had been pretty concerned, but Bakugou had promised to get through it. And he had. Despite that and some smaller relapses here and there, Bakugou felt he was finally truly making progress in a tangible way.
“How are the boyfriends?” All Might asked with a teasing glint in his eye.
“Good but busy,” Bakugou said. “Shouto made it into the program he wanted but he’s been pretty swamped since then. Izuku is still codependent as fuck with his mom, but I go visit her with him sometimes. She adores Shouto as well.”
“Ah yes, Inko Midoriya,” All Might said contemplatively.
Bakugou narrowed his eyes at him. “Why do you sound like you know her,” he said, staring suspiciously.
“No reason!” All Might laughed. “I’ve been in touch with your boyfriends, just checking in on you.”
“And their moms, apparently,” Bakugou griped, sipping his coffee and pouting.
“I saw that young Amajiki has a match coming up soon!” All Might said, switching the subject. “Maybe we should go.”
“You gonna invite Izuku’s mom?” Bakugou muttered. All Might pretended he couldn’t hear him.
“So what have you been up to?” He asked, and Bakugou rolled his eyes.
He was completely unsurprised to see Kaminari, Shinsou, and Kirishima sitting on his couch and messing with his Xbox when he got home, the door to the apartment not even locked when he tried the handle.
“I’m charging you all rent,” he complained.
“Yeah, yeah, we’ve heard it before”, Kaminari waved him off before cussing out Shinsou for knocking his character out of the way.
Bakugou pulled out his phone to send them all a Venmo request titled “stop freeloading.”
“Kacchan!” Izuku greeted from the kitchen, setting down a cup and heading over to where Bakugou was removing his shoes. He gave him a soft kiss and then pushed his face into his neck, and Bakugou wrapped an arm around him, fighting off a smile.
“Well hello to you too,” he teased.
Shouto shuffled out of the bedroom, glaring at his phone. “My father is not only an asshole, he is an idiot,” he said. “Hello.”
“Come here, dumbass,” Bakugou said, yanking Shouto in.
Kaminari made gagging sounds from the couch and Bakugou picked up a shoe and threw it at him. It hit him in the arm, and Shinsou laughed at him while he pouted.
“Bunch of children,” Kirishima said. “Oh fuck you, Shinsou! Why are you so aggressive in this game?”
“Just to rile you up,” Shinsou grinned.
“What did that asshole do now?” Bakugou asked Shouto.
“He’s very angry about Natsuo’s birthday party,” Shouto said. “Touy- Dabi is still a popular conversation with his circle, apparently.”
“An icon, honestly,” Bakugou snorted. “I really thought your dear old dad would be more pissed about you showing up with two boyfriends, so I won’t complain about Dabi and his dramatics.”
“My father knows he is on thin ice,” Shouto said. “He’s lucky I showed up at all. Also Dabi is not an icon.”
Izuku snorted. “It’s okay, love, Kacchan isn’t gonna leave us for Dabi.”
Shouto scoffed. “I know that.”
Bakugou rolled his eyes. “Good, cause it’s never gonna happen. He was just trying to piss you off.”
“Which didn’t work,” Shouto said, and everyone in the room verbally agreed while making pointed eye contact with each other.
“Mhm, absolutely,” Izuku hummed. “Now, let’s get you some food. You’ve been holed up in there studying for hours.”
Shouto stared at him suspiciously for a moment, but finally relented. “I wasn’t studying the whole time,” he said. “I was also watching TikToks.”
“I will never forgive you for this, Kaminari,” Bakugou said. “He won’t get off that damn app now.”
“I saw you on there,” Shouto said, and Bakugou turned to stare at Kaminari.
“It’s not my fault the people love you!” Kaminari shrieked, jumping up on the couch and clambering over the back and Bakugou came at him.
“ What did you post? ”
“Hitoshi, baby, help me!”
“You did this to yourself,” Shinsou snorted. “Also I’m busy kicking Kirishima’s ass.”
“Are not!” Kirishima said right before releasing a string of swear words.
Bakugou got Kaminari in a headlock and fucked up his hair by rubbing his fingers through it aggressively as Kaminari wailed.
“How did you do on your paper?” Izuku asked Shouto pleasantly in the background, ignoring Kaminari’s pleas for help.
“I received a 96,” Shouto replied. “What are you making for dinner?”
“I’m probably just going to order pizza for our semi-unexpected guests,” Izuku mused, “but I think for you I’ll make a tonkotsu bowl. You should eat something better while you study.”
“I would like that,” Shouto said.
“ Izuku, please,” Denki cried, before suddenly ducking down to grab Bakugou’s thigh, wrapping his arms around and not letting go. “Ha! I gotcha!”
Bakugou backed up, dragging Kaminari with him. “You’re like a fucking leech,” he complained. “Show me the video!”
“Never!” Kaminari tossed his phone to Shinsou who caught it without looking and then promptly tossed it to Bakugou. Kaminari squawked in betrayal.
“I love you, Denks, which is why I want you to reap the consequences of any foolish actions,” Shinsou said solemnly. “Ha! I win!”
Kirishima dropped his controller and put his hands in his face. “I have failed,” he moaned. “I haven’t improved at all.”
Shinsou patted him on the back comfortingly as Bakugou locked Kaminari out of his phone by failing to guess the passcode too many times.
“I never said I’d unlock it for him,” Shinsou grinned, and Kaminari flew back over the couch to tackle his boyfriend.
“I’m Venmo requesting you for new furniture,” Bakugou said, dropping Kaminari’s phone onto the couch and heading back to where his boyfriends were watching the chaos. They both had gross, mushy looks on their faces and Bakugou hated how happy it made him feel (except not really).
Tap “Ka-“ tap “cchan,” he tapped out on his thigh, and Izuku frowned.
“You alright?” He asked.
“Burst of energy is all,” Bakugou said. He still had his little quirks, but they were lessened and usually only came out when he was tired or had too much caffeine. “I’m okay. What are you two saps staring at?”
“Just enjoying watching you have fun,” Izuku said. “It still makes me happy every time.”
“Someone’s gotta beat Kaminari’s ass every once in a while,” Bakugou griped, pretending his heart didn’t feel full at Izuku’s words. Shouto smiled.
“What ever would he do without you?” he said, and Kaminari squawked again in the background.
“I’d be happy!” He said. “Finally free from-“
Izuku threw the second shoe from the pair at him, and Kaminari ducked before coming up to stare at him in betrayal.
“Izuku!” He gasped.
“I’m just defending my turf,” Izuku said innocently, and Kaminari narrowed his eyes at him.
“Oh, for the love of God,” Shinsou sighed as Kaminari charged at Izuku and the other boy took off running. Bakugou snatched Kaminari by the collar and put him in a headlock, but the boy just giggled and hung there.
“You all love me,” he said, and Bakugou sighed.
“Ugh. I guess,” he said, before dropping him on the floor unceremoniously. “Let’s order some pizza before Izuku starts muttering to himself about what to make for dinner.”
“I haven’t been mumbling as much!” Izuku protested from where he’d hidden from Kaminari behind the loveseat.
“Sure, babe,” Bakugou said placatingly. “If you don’t tell me what you all want, I’m just ordering plain cheese.”
“Anchovies!” Kaminari said, and a third shoe flew at him. “I was kidding.”
Shinsou was arguing with Kirishima about playing another game, so Bakugou gave up.
“Cheese it is,” he said.
Kirishima took a hint and dragged Kaminari and Shinsou out of the apartment after dinner, and Bakugou settled onto the couch with a satisfied sigh.
“Finally, peace and quiet,” he said. Izuku snorted.
“You love the chaos,” he said, sitting next to him and leaning his head on his shoulder.
“It’s entertaining, but I like quiet evenings with you as well,” Bakugou admitted.
“I love mushy Kacchan,” Izuku said, and Bakugou bumped his shoulder up to jostle his head lightly. “Rude.”
“My father is also rude,” Shouto said, coming to sit on the other side.
Bakugou laughed. “Yeah, and you should block his number.”
Shouto lit up immediately. “That would be hilarious,” he said. “I am going to do that right now.”
“Kacchan, what have you done,” Izuku giggled. “Shouto’s dad is gonna show up at our door in like two days.”
“Good. I could take him in a fight.”
“Endeavour?” Izuku burst into giggles and Bakugou grinned.
Shouto was unimpressed. “You should ask All Might to fight him again instead,” he said. “My father would knock you out.”
“What if I had a knife,” Bakugou said, and Shouto contemplated for a moment.
“Maybe you should bring a gun,” he said. “Then he can’t get close to you.”
“Deal.” Bakugou nudged Shouto and winked, and the other boy smiled at him.
“You are very cute,” he said.
“I just threatened to pull up on your dad,” Bakugou said, snickering.
“Exactly,” Shouto said, giving him a kiss on the cheek. “What more could someone ask for?”
Izuku was still giggling and Bakugou couldn’t stop smiling. He loved these idiots so much.
“If all I need to do to keep you around is fight your dad, I’ll go get my ass kicked right now,” he said. “Izuku, what’s your request?”
“I don’t need anything as long as you love us,” Izuku said.
“I like my answer better,” Shouto grumbled. “But I guess that’s cute.”
“Those are exactly the things I would have expected,” Bakugou snorted.
“Well what do you want, then?” Izuku asked. Bakugou slung his arms over their shoulders, pulling them both in to sandwich him in the middle.
“I want to be like this for the rest of our lives,” he said.
And they were.
