An incident from the Ikedaya raid has deeply affected Katou Haru, who since then no longer uses his sword. Two years later, the Shinsengumi receives a request to escort the son of a daimyo and sends Katou—along with other samurai—for the job. Katou is reluctant, but then again, the daimyo’s son happens to be Kambe Daisuke.
