Chapter 2

Summary:

A normal day for the small family.

Chapter Text

Behind the castles walls, 10 figures stood together, a wagon with 2 gypsy horses, one black and the other one black with white spots. The carriage full with clothes, armor, blankets, food, weapons and things to survive a life on the road that was close to the entrance of said wagon, with the paladins horse, Thunder, near by.

"You must leave the castle with the children. Keep them safe and return when you get my message." Melody said. Her figure hidden by a dark cloak. A smaller one hidden in her arms with 3 more around her legs, also with cloaks on. "You must hurry, now that the night is our blanket"

"How will I know?"The young paladin asked his queen. "Does Alex know?" Worry showed in his eyes for his younger sister.

"She knows, right now she's distracting any prying eyes." Breathing in and out was the only thing that the queen did. "As for the first, you will know." Turning around, she faced her young ones, giving them a hug, one that she hopped wasn't the last. "Remember little ones, ill love you to the ends of earth and back. Don't you ever forget that. Kota, Mahoro and Katsuma, listen to your sister, Eri, take care of them."The others turned away, letting the small family have their moment.

"Izuku, can I ask of you a favor," The coupled ask of the paladin. The one in question looked towards them.

"Yes, any."

"Take our young ones with you."

He understood that. He really did and not wanting to let them down, he said the only thing that sounded right to him."Yes."

A relieved sigh escaped the wife, the husband a chuckle. In each one of their arms where a baby. Twins to be percise. One male and the other female with traits of both their parents."I know that protecting 6 children will be hard, so take these, they are the wolves that you saved and raised not long ago, the ones that you tamed, they are loyal to you and only you. Take them and this, this should last for about two years." In their hands was a pouch full of gold, two big wolves totted to his side, black and brown wagging their tails towards Izuku, who in return was happy in seeing them."Here, in case we don't make this one out alive, show them our ways ok." In Seth's hands ways his hammer, placing it on top of the crate that was holding all their stuff and returned to his family side, giving their young one, one last kissed. He turned to his sworn brother, resting his forehead against him. "May Odin take you under his wing and protect you my brother."

The event passed real quick, for the night didn't last long to be taken care of. The mother of the four place her children inside the wagon."All of you listen to uncle Izu, ok" Looking towards the 6 month twins she gave them a kiss on their forehead."You guys too, ok Kazu, and Katsika."

With the kids in the wagon and the two dogs loaded, Izuku went up in-front, with a whip of the reins, they started to move, away of the castle's lights and into the stars light, making the kids fall asleep. Except the oldest of them all."Uncle Izu, were going to be alright, right?"

"You never know what God has in store for you and like aunt Ahara says'God likes those with good heart'."He responded, hoping to ease her small heart."Go to sleep, for its a long journey ahead." And like that, Izuku was alone in the night with 6 children, 3 horses and 2 wolves as company with the glow of the full moon.

"Herbs and furs! Come and get them!" A 12 year old Eri was yelling, selling goods that her family caught and made."Medicine and more! Come and get them before we leave!"The twins besides her and playing with handmade instruments.

"No sir that's 11 copper coins." 10 year old Kota said to a man.

"That's expensive kid, look, how about 9?" A smirk appeared in his face.

"No 11, take it or leave it, really." Unamused, the black haired kid replied to the man. The grumbling man just paid Kota and left. The later adding the money in the pouch.

"Toys, handmade toys from the capital come and take them!!" Mahoro and Katsuma yelled. Gaining the attention from kids that dragged their mother or fathers so that they can buy them toys.

It was a busy day of the small family. By traveling in a wagon they gained popularity as the traveling family. All of them would do something and sell it, the money covering daily expensive and sometimes more for them. 2 years have passed when they left the castle, and the kids grew used to it right off the bat, creating thing on their way from one end to another. Jokes and over all happy, few disagreements here and there but still happy.

"This sword is preferable for a 14 year old. It's dull enough to not hurt him but enough to slice if felt threatened." Izuku said while making tricks with the sword, flying it in the air then landing safely into his hands, giving off a light glint.

"But is dull. How is it going to slice if it's dull?" A woman with blonde hair said behind her husband and son.

"Something called adrenaline Mi'lady." A annoying feeling wanted to settle in his gut.

"Trust the seller honey. I'll take this one." A kind smile took over. The kids eye shone bright.

"So, want to be a knight kid?"

"Yes!! A Paladin!!"

"Good then, don't let anything cloud your mind."

A big smile over took his face."Thank you sir!" Standing straight, he giving a salut with 3 fingers over his heart."Midra Itsuki at your service sir."

"Thank you!"

The sun was coming down form it's throne, covering the land with orange and pink light. Izuku packing the items that were not sold with the help of Eri and Kota while the youngest were inside the wagon, creating a makeshift bed and playing with the wolves and the twins. The craters with the items inside creating wall, blocking the back entrance with ropes securing them. A lamp hanging for when dark comes by. Thunder and the gyps horses grazing near by. With everything loaded, Eri and Kota pushing and pulling themselves up with the rest of the kids, resting the soreness that lifting boxes left them. A whistle caught the attention of the horses, trotting toward their owner and friend Izuku. Grabbing the gypsies horses, he tied them up ready to pull with Thunder in his front of the other horses. Pulling himself up and place himself behind the ropes, the older children sitting with him, the twins fast asleep and wolves wagging their tails and looking outside, with a hiya and a whistle, they started to travel around the populated village, looking at fancy pubs, restaurants and more. They stopped in front of a resturant, all jumping down from the wagon and happily yelling about the food and what they are going to eat, Izuku grabbing the twins from Eri while herself jumping down. Waiting for all of the kids, he ordered the wolves to take care of the wagon. Walking towards the fancy restaurant, they stuffed their stomachs until they felt that they can burst. They hanged out for a while, waiting for their food to come down.

"We should get some meat for the wolves, and get some supplies too."Izuku started to mumble, lost in deep in his thoughts.

"I ant oun too!" Cheered Katsika, which made Kazu cheer too, making a mess out of their food and throwing it to the rest who successfully evaded the food, which splashed against the brick wall. Everybody present looking away, like if they weren't even there, except the two troublemakers who laughed with out any care in the world. The parents attending the pub giving chuckles at the sight, remising when their kids where that age.

20 minutes passed and they went to the meat store in front of them. Getting their food for the night along with vegetables and bread for the road. Helping up the kids onto the wagon, they set out onto the next town to sell the goods left. The sun slowly turning to night, the earth illuminated by the moon and the stars. The small family getting ready to sleep, the kids curling up against Nero, the black wolf making. themselves warm with the fur blankets, legs and arms are throne all over place, Izuku himself sitting in front of the wagon, a white sheet lowered to keep the air out but still keeping a eye out for the horses, but were fine thanks to the Nebula taking care of them sitting outside close to Izuku. Snoring slowly took over the silent wagon, lulling him to sleep.
