Work Text:
It had been a relatively normal morning up until that point.
Peter had gotten up from his room in the tower where he and May had been staying, he had gotten dressed, ate breakfast, and then sat down on the sofa with his school books to enter the Zoom glass that was do to start at any second.
Once he got on he said good morning to his classmates and his teacher Mr. Harrington before texting Ned and MJ good morning as the lesson started.
About an hour later is when all the chaos had started.
Everything had still been going like it usually did with Mr. Harrington teaching like he normally did besides the fact of him being on a video call while all the students took notes. Peter had been looking down at the notebook in his lap writing what his teacher had said done when he heard it, the first gasp out of many.
Peter knew who the gasp belonged to, it belonged to Betty who with that little gasp gained the attention of the rest of the glass who after looking up had all gasped like she had, well all expect flush who let out a loud "What the fuck?" which had caused Peter to jump.
He looked at his classmates with wide eyes it only takes him a second to figure out that they all including Mr. Harrington were looking at him. A worried knot began to form his stomach as he started to believe that he had somehow used his powers without thinking, but as his eyes, went to Ned and MJ who were both smiling brightly Peter knows that that's not the case.
"Hey, Bambino, sorry for interrupting but I need another pair of eyes to look over this for me," The voice of Tony Stark said from behind the young Spiderling causing him to jump and turn his head.
Peter started at Tony with shock as if it was the first time meeting his hero and as if he hadn't been living in the same building as him for months.
"Mr. Stark?" Peter squeaked softly as he finally understood why everyone except for Flash had been gasping at.
"Yep," Tony said as he popped the P in his word, he pulled his eyes away from Peter for a second as he looked at the students on the laptop before the two of them. "Hiya, kids," He said with a wave and a smirk and Peter heard him let out a little laugh as some of the students waved back. "So can you help me, Bambino?" Tony asked looking towards Peter who seemed to register what Tony had called him and was now blushing brightly in embarrassment.
"Mr. Stark... " Peter started but was cut off by the sound of a woman's voice that woman just so happening to be Pepper Potts who was walking by the both of them.
"Tony, stop messing with Peter he has classes," Pepper said as she glared at her husband who held him his hands in an innocent manner.
"What are you doing here?" Tony asked with a smile upon seeing the CEO of Stark Industries walking towards him and Peter which again earned another gasp from all of Peter's classmates.
"I forgot some files in the kitchen and needed to come back down to get them," Pepper explained as she finally came into full view of the laptop camera to stand next to Tony who was still behind Peter. "Now stop messing with Peter he can help you later," She said as she looked at the man she loved so dearly.
"I'm not doing anything," Tony defended before looking back at Peter who still had a bright blush on his face. "Am I, Peter?" He asked with a mischievous smile and suddenly it hit Peter what his mentor was doing and now he was really starting to regret introducing him to tiktok.
"Sure you're not," Pepper said with a roll of her eyes as she smiled at the man she loved before leaning forward and pressing a small kiss against his lips which Tony returned.
As Peter debated on screaming into one of the sofa pillows he felt fingers run through his hair making him look up to see Pepper smiling down at him with motherly love and care just like Aunt May did.
"Your, Aunt asked me to remind you that she and Happy are having a little bit of a date tonight and she also wants to know if you're sure you don't want to join them for dinner," Pepper said as she passed the message she had gotten from her new best friend on to the boy she saw as her son.
"I-I'm sure," Peter stuttered out with a smile the blush still bright on his face and it only got bright as Pepper leaned down and pressed a kiss on top of his brown curls.
"All right, I'll make sure to let her know," Pepper said sweetly before gave Tony another kiss and a final warning look to leave Peter alone before she walked off to get what she needed from the kitchen and leaving.
When the elevator doors closed is when Tony walked around the sofa and sat down next to Peter with an innocent smile on his face that Peter knew wasn't innocent by any means.
Peter looked towards his teacher Mr. Harrington hoping that his teacher would say something about needing to get back to the lesson as the kids his glass began to whisper and text, but all Mr. Harrington did was stare in shock until Tony got his attention.
"You wouldn't mind if I stuck around would you, sir?" Tony asked as he looked at Mr. Harrington with his normal Tony Stark smile. "I'd just like to know what Peter is learning in case he needs help with any of it," He explained as he leaned forward a little to see the teacher a little better than before.
"O-Of course, Mr. Stark," Mr. Harrington said over the whispers and dings that came from the other students as he turned back to the board that was behind him clearly still shocked at what had just happened.
"Wonderful!" Tony said brightly as he leaned back so he was sitting comfortably next to Peter once more. "Thank you so much," He said as he turned his head to look at Peter who by now wanted to crawl away to his room.
Peter hand his face buried in his hands as he let out a groan of embarrassment but that didn't stop him from leaning into Tony's side as his mentor wrapped his arm around his shoulders to pull him close. Peter could hear the whispers from the other students and he could feel Tony shaking as he silently chuckled at their surprise.
After a few more moments of being embarrassed Peter gave out a sigh and began to take notes as Tony kept his arm wrapped around him the entire time and even though Peter wanted to be a little angry with his mentor he truly couldn't be no matter how hard he tried.
Peter stayed leaned into Tony's side as he wrote the notes that he needed, the class still letting out a few whispers or so as some still texted on their phones.
"At least no one thinks that I'm lying anymore," Peter thought as he leaned even more into Tony's side letting his weight fall against his mentor who kept him close, and even though he was still a little embarrassed at everything that had just gone on he couldn't help but smile and enjoy the warmth that Tony was giving off.
