Chapter Text
The Vice President of the Martial Arts club was a demon. Oko wasn’t sure what kind yet. Probably from the circle of Wrath. Maybe an incubus. Both? Some occult books said that there were hybrids.
Oko made sure to keep out of sight around the corner as he stalked followed Aishi-san around on his patrols. He was several feet away and keeping out of sight as much as possible so he knew he hadn’t been noticed. By Aishi-san, anyway. Some of the more observant students in the hallways were giving him looks.
This was important, though. There was a demon in the school, feeding on the students’ emotions. That’s why everyone drooled over Aishi-san. That’s why he could stop a fight with a stern look. He was most definitely one hundred percent a demon.
(Oko had no proof whatsoever.)
Suddenly, Aishi-san ducked into his own classroom. Oko waited outside, peering through the door’s window.
Suddenly the door he was looking through opened, and Oko jumped ten feet in the air. There was Aishi-san, holding a book.
“Oh. Ruto-san, I was about to start looking for you.” Said Aishi-san, blank-faced as always. “Here, I wanted to give you this. It used to be my mom’s, but she gave it to me and I don’t want it. I thought you might like it though. I trust you with it.”
Oko nervously took the book. It was... an ancient tome about how to summon demons to do your bidding?!
Why did Aishi-san’s mother have this?! Why did she give it to him?!
Wait... Aishi-san trusted him with something this dangerous?
Oko felt himself blush a little. “You... really don’t think I’ll do anything with something like this?” Everyone at school thought he was dangerous. That he was one bad day away from snapping and killing them all.
“No. I mean this as a compliment, but you’re harmless. I know you’ll keep it safe.” Aishi-san gave a small smile.
“AYAAAATOOOOOO!!” Down the hall was the wildly waving Midoro Gurin.
“I gotta head out. See you.” With a shrug of his shoulders, the muscular vice president headed off to see his bubbly childhood friend.
Oko clutched the tome to his chest. He was... so cool...
