It's been more than a century since Glory was introduced. The Gods of the old are but mere names in the sands of history, the legends having been overtaken by fresh, new talent.
No one knows why or how but Glory has become diminished. The developers of the game are unable to figure out the reason. The casual players note the way the colours seem more greyish nowadays compared to before . The professional players don't care about these trivialities—the pro scene is a money making endeavor now; gone are the days where passion fueled the Glory Pro Alliance.
The computer game has now evolved into virtual reality. The equipment needed to access Glory is expensive but people choose to drain their money anyway, desperate for an escape from the real world. As it happens in every case, there are corporates who wish to hone in on the public's desperation, to make more money.
The world is not as it was when the true Gods reigned. Glory is not as it was then.
One day, a wave of colour—bright and bold and vivid—wash through the landscape of Glory. The players in the game flinch away at the sudden brilliance.
A new player has entered the game.

But one thing is for certain—
Glory is awake, finally, after slumbering for decades.
