The next few days went as smoothly as they had in the past, before you’d met Caesar, back when it was just you and Dio. It was nice to know that Dio had your best interests in mind, doing his best to not provoke you in any way that would result in a breakdown or something of similar nature. At some point during the time, you’d told him that you would enjoy moving into a more serious relationship with him if that was something he still desired to do. He said that he would enjoy it very much, as long as you weren’t doing so in hopes to please him and only if it was something you really wanted to do.
You didn’t think that he would jump into the role of being your boyfriend as quickly as he did, leaving you a bit shocked at first. Of course he made sure that physical affection was okay with you. Starting small with lingering touches here and there and as of yesterday, the occasional kiss on the forehead. It wasn’t until he offered to have you over for dinner at his place later that night.
Naturally you had agreed, wanting nothing more than to spend time with him in a more personal sense now that you two had a more established romantic relationship. Maybe the two of you would have your first actual kiss, that didn’t happen when one of you was tipsy. The thought excited you. You couldn’t wait until the day was over. Pulling you from your thoughts, Dio had tapped your desk gently, looking at you with a kind smile on his face. “How’s everything going, my dear?”
“Perfectly fine. I’m just,” you paused for a moment, drawing a deep breath, “excited.”
“All of this over a dinner date?”
“Well, it’s a dinner date with you. Why wouldn’t I be excited?” You turned back to your computer, finishing up a few more words on the document you were typing before looking back to your boyfriend. Gazing lovingly into his eyes, you stood up slightly and gave him a light peck on the lips, hoping it would allude to you wanting more.
Dio got the hint and held your chin in place gently with his right hand and kissed you deeply, as a promise for much more to come in the future.
