Chapter Text
The two legendary Pokémon froze.
The Mew queen would be amazed to see a giant long eastern dragon Pokemon. His body was glad in emerald scales with yellow and red markings, his yellow eyes had a piercing gaze. The other Pokemon backed down from his presence, "I am Rayquaza, Lord of the Ozone and Skies. For thousands of years I have watched the development of the world, and I am here to stop Groudon & Kyogre, the Lords of the Land and Oceans," the two enraged titans roared before they fired at Rayquaza.
Xerneas helped guided Mew Grace, "Your Majesty! Use Wide Guard to protect us and Rayquaza from the attacks," there was a mere moment for Mew Grace to make the move.
Mew Grace concentrated as a giant silver barrier of Energy surrounded all three Pokémon.
Rayquaza roared in anger, "very well. I shall fight to end your rampages," while he was talking the two titans resumed their hostilities towards each other.
Primal Kyogre fired an Ice Beam at Primal Groudon, the giant reptilian titan roared out in anger. Groudon stomped down in order to use a Magnitude attack. The shockwaves caused by the Magnitude reached 9, and the entire tidal wave collapsed causing the water Pokemon within it to fall helplessly. Primal Kyogre didn't care though, he only charged at his nemesis.
"We can help those Pokemon," Xerneas said as she swooped down to begin catching Pokemon.
Grace caught them with her mind and got them to safety.
"The queen is saving us," many of the Pokemon cried out as they were safely guided away from the fighting.
Xerneas and Queen Grace would then go to the aid of the Pokemon on land that were being caught in a Hailstorm Primal Kyogre created with his Hail attack. Primal Groudon used an Earthquake without thinking, which resulted in many of the Pokemon on land and sea getting injured. "I'll use my power over Life to revive the Pokemon once they're in a safer location," Xerneas assured her queen as she worked.
Rayquaza tried using his Hyper Beam and Twister attacks to break up the fighting between the two primal titans, but their primal forms were too much for him, "your Majesty, I'm in need of your assistance," Rayquaza declared as he flew overhead.
Grace tried separating the two legendaries with her mind.
However, the roaring and powers of the Primal Pokemon were far too much. Rayquaza swooped down to keep Mew Grace safe from harm, by using his hands to keep her safe from harm, "Queen of the Mew, if you focus hard with this meteorite I found. Then I will have the power needed to help you," there was a small reflective sphere-shaped stone within his hands. Mew Grace looked at the shiny stone with interest.
“Ok” she then focused on the stone.
The stone resonated with the two beings, and Rayquaza turned into Mega Rayquaza. He developed two blade like tusks on his face, and long feather like extensions on his ears. He roared with primal power, "now we shall tame them."
Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre were tackling each other into the island. Their rage had nearly destroyed half of the island, and their armies had fled from fear of being obliterated. Xerneas sent a psychic message to Mew Grace, "I have moved the other Pokemon to the far side of the island. Mega Rayquaza will tame the titans, so you can calm them down later."
Mega Rayquaza roared as he unleashed a powerful Hyper Beam. It resulted in the destruction of a lot of land on the island. Primal Groudon, and Primal Kyogre turned their rage towards the titan of the skies. They fired a powerful Hyper Beam and Aurora Beam, which resulted in a massive explosion. Mega Rayquaza was hardly damaged from this and retaliated with a strong Outrage attack.
"Use Wide Guard again," Xerneas said as she came to protect her queen.
Grace created another silver energy barrier.
"Rayquaza will likely use his most powerful attack soon," she cautioned as the three titans fired energy beam attacks. This coupled with the intense weather made the area very dangerous for any mortal.
"Everyone, take cover!" Grace shouted.
Thanks to Mew Grace the Pokemon were safe from a powerful attack called Draco Meteor. The attack summoned meteors from space and sent them flying towards Mega Rayuaza's targets. Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon were hit with the meteors embed with dragon energies. The two Titans could not withstand the intense force from space itself crashing into their Ruby and Sapphire hides.
The Emerald dragon was finally able to stop their rampage, and now he was able to use his natural abilities to stop the raging weather.
Xerneas and Mega Rayquaza met with Mew Grace, by the mountain on the island where the battle took place. "All the Pokemon are safe now," Xerneas assured the Mew queen.
Mega Rayquaza looked at Mew Grace, "your Majesty, Groundon and Kyogre have been stopped, but now you must calm their hearts. Go to them, and focus on removing the darkness in their hearts," the giant dragon and deer watched the pink cat Pokemon float towards the two Titans.
Xerneas looked to Mew Grace, "focus with your heart to help them."
Grace closed her eyes and focused on the two Titan Pokémon.
She sensed a darkness over their hearts and was able to purify them of the corruption. Shortly after the process was over, Kyogre and Groudon woke up. They bowed to Mew Grace and looked like they were awaiting orders.
"Now all three answers to the one," Rayquaza said as he reverted into his standard form.
“So, who tried to corrupt you?” Mew Grace asked, nervously.
Kyogre began to float towards the oceans in order to re-hydrate himself. Groudon slowly got up, "corrupt?" He paused for a long while as he began to process what happened, "the Darkness."
Kyogre spoke from the oceans once he was better, "there was a Darkness from above the oceans. It felt like it drained me of my life energies... Afterwards I was blinded by rage."
Groudon looked around, "it would seem the Darkness brought out our Primal Rage. I'm ashamed for what I've done."
"As am I, but... How did the Darkness get you?" Kyogre spoke calmly to his fellow Titan.
Groudon exhaled loudly as he took in deep breathes, "I recall seeing something in the clouds. It was firing something that drained life energies... I felt this overwhelming Darkness festering inside my heart after I was hit," Groudon suddenly collapsed as he had a flashback. "I see it!"
Xerneas was quiet up until now, "what did you see?"
"A... A bird," Groudon said while Rayquaza floated around the island. The emerald dragon was making sure that the area was secure.
“A bird? Do you remember what colour it was?” Grace inquired.
"I think it was red..." Groudon said as he shook his head.
Xerneas looked off into the distance, she spotted something far off, "there's a storm brewing in the west."
Rayquaza began to float while looking down at the others, "there is unrest in the youngest region. I can sense thunder clashing with lightning. This affair does not concern me," he surveyed the area in order to make sure the other Titans didn't do anything.
Groudon appreciated being shown some care by Mew Grace, and Kyogre tried to impress her for a moment with a display of water. "We should repair the damage that has been done," Kyogre suggested.
"I will make sure the ground here is healed, so that we never forget that after we've settled things. We take the time to heal our wounds," Groudon was soon approached by some of his followers.
Kyogore and his followers bowed down to Mew Grace, "praise to our queen for her mercy."
Groudon and the other Pokemon on land bowed to Mew Grace, "her courage and mercy shall be cherished."
Xerneas once again acted as a traveling mount for Mew Grace, "thank you, your Majesty."
“You’re welcome, just try not to fight, ok? Xerneas is that description familiar? I’m...guessing there’s a Pokémon for lightening too?” Mew Grace wondered.
Xerneas closed her eyes to think for a moment, "there are a few... We should check for areas the Darkness has reached," Xerneas was ready to transport Mew Grace.
"We won't fight for some time... We'll take our rest until the planet is ready to change again," Groudon said as he began going back underground. The other Pokemon with him either followed underground, or dispersed across the island.
Kyogre nodded, "I'd recommend checking out the storm in the distance. Perhaps there is something there?" He and the water Pokemon returned to the sea depths.
Rayquaza crossed his arms as he looked down, "and I shall return to my domain in the Ozone. Until a day when I'm needed to settle things on the Earth again," he flew up into the clouds and vanished. A ray of light shun brightly on the island.
"Perhaps we should leave?" Xerneas said to Mew Grace.
Grace nodded.
It was time to follow the trail of this elusive mystery.....
Is this linked to the heartless?, she couldn’t help wondering to herself in worry.
