Fuck. If you only read one Buffy Summers gets turned into a vampire and ruins everyone’s life fic, let it be this one. The subject of Buffy being turned has been written before, and flirted with in the show - Buffy’s powers come from a demon, dark forces are always trying to seduce her for their side, etc., her greatest fear in the early days was being turned into a Vampire, Dracula put the whammy on her - you know, it’s not a far stretch. But Vatrixsta takes that idea and soars with it - this is a beautiful break down of Buffy, her character and what changes when she becomes her greatest fear and how everyone, particularly Angel and the Scooby Gang deal with it. Buffy’s characterization is so very much like the show’s that I could see this verse taking the place of season six. I read this almost entirely the whole way through in one sitting. Have snacks and a water bottle nearby when you read it, it’s worth the journey. This story scooped my heart out in bits and I enjoyed it.
