Summary
Sometimes, the pain only truly begins after you die.
Robb Stark rises alive from the waters of the trident, but this isn't the Robb you knew. His only passion is to wage bloody war on the hosts of the Lannisters and their vassals.
In the far North, Jon Snow receives a letter that will change his life forever, and in the East, Arya's mad dash to Braavos is cut short by an old friend.

What a brilliant rendition of book!Jon.
I think this is the first ASOIAF long fic I read that actually complete. Somehow the authors of this fandom mirror the creator lol -

Damn. This story is good. It’s compelling, gritty, and well written. For every 50 stories I read - from dogshit to mediocre - you can often find a gem. This is one such gem.

Spice:I won’t fill these out yet as I’m only on chapter 7, but this story is very good.
I’m thinking around the 8.75-9 range. Better than 99% of stories certainly.
My comment on CH 33
Regardless, this has been one of my favorite reads in recent times. It’s well written, compelling, and fresh. The notion of “the pack” is often brought up, but rarely fleshed out.
I also love the liberties you took with the characters you decided to POV. I found it very poignant that we lacked a Robb POV until the meeting with Arya.
Maybe I read too fast, but I felt that some important characters were forgotten. Perhaps “important” is an overstatement, but what happened to Anguy for ex?
I also really enjoyed the pacing of the story. It moved fast, but not too much so. And there were lots of unexpected plot points that re surprisingly rare to see. I enjoyed Jon’s lack of infallibility, a new unique end to the Lannisters, and the ignoring of Jon’s birth.
While on one hand I feel it to be a critical aspect of ASOIAF, what you did was what FF as a whole is all about - a well written spin off of canon.
