Chapter Text
Momo and the other girls were in the hospital waiting room, Katsuki had been taken in for his wrist and Izumi ended up having to be admitted when she began to experience pain in her stomach. Momo had sent out a mass message to the class explaining the details, asking them to go and ensure they Baku-squad were all caught as they had left quickly once they realised what they had, Aizawa had immediately come to the hospital to be with Izumi whilst contacting her parents. But the heroes refused to leave until they heard news of their friends.
“Do you think Izumi and the baby are okay?” Uraraka asked nervously.
“They’ll be fine… my best bet is the shock and the stress of this just made things a little too much.” Momo frowned. “Such emotions can… endanger a child before birth. But Izumi is strong and any combination of her and Katsuki has to be double that.” She muttered, half attempting to reassure herself everything would be fine. “I can’t believe they did this…”
“Some reason… I’m not. The group always took things too far, even at U.A. It may have been funny then; we were a bunch of dump kids. But we’re adults now.” Kyoka sighed. “They need to grow up, they should have already…” The group were silent, but glanced up as two people rushed in, the woman’s appearance caught their attention as they rushed to the desk.
“We’re looking for Midoriya Izumi, and for Bakugo Katsuki. Izumi’s our daughter and Katsuki is our son-in-law.” The woman gasped out. The receptionist assured them they would get some news but then pointed to the group of heroes, they nervously watched the couple approach.
“You must have been the heroes visiting when the incident happened?” The woman asked.
“Yes, we were just getting to know Izumi, hoping we could be friends… we never expected it to end like this.” Momo frowned, but looked up as the woman took her hand. She could see where Izumi got her looks from, she was a carbon copy of her mother without the curls.
“You helped them. So, thank you.” The woman smiled. “I’m Midoriya Inko, this is my husband, Midoriya Hisashi.”
“A pleasure to meet you. I’m glad my kids have good friends on their side.” Hisashi smiled. “But could I also speak to you all later, as witnesses to the event. I am the family lawyer after all.”
“Wow.” Momo chuckled. “We can’t be surprised with Izumi’s abilities when you two are pretty well-known figures too.”
“They are?” Uraraka asked.
“Midoriya Inko - a major business tycoon, but a good one. A lot of business’ also have her to thank from pulling them from the red.” Momo nodded. “And surely you guys have heard of the Black Dragon in legal terms?”
“Wait, you’re the black dragon?” Tsu asked in surprise. Hisashi nodded.
“Not many people connect those dots.” Hisashi nodded proudly. But his attention was grabbed by Aizawa heading their way. “How’s my daughter?”
“She’s resting, doctors say she’s fine, just the stress of everything. The baby is fine too. Katsuki is also doing fine. He will likely have a burn for the rest of his life… are his grandparents on their way?”
“Yeah, they were visiting family out of the province, but they are on their way back now.” Inko nodded.
“So, they’re both going to be, okay?” Toru asked.
“Yes, they’ll be fine.” Aizawa nodded, the women sighed in relief.
“I think we should help the others keep tracking the group.” Momo frowned. The others nodded. “We’ll make sure the villains responsible for this are caught.” She promised.
“We’ll hold you to that heroes.” Hisashi nodded. The heroes left, leaving the Midoriya’s with Aizawa.
“Are they really, okay?” Inko looked at him with a hard stare. Aizawa sighed and frowned.
“Izumi is resting, but doctors want her to stay in just in case. They are worried the stress made induce an early labour and they want to avoid that right now. Katsuki is going to be fine, but healers are still working on him. We don’t know what kind of acid Ashido used on him, so they are being a lot more cautious than normal.” Aizawa told them. “I didn’t want to worry the girls… They already feel bad about what the squad have done, and seeing how they were there…”
“They would blame themselves for not being fast enough.” Inko sighed and shook her head. “They did more than most could. I’m just grateful they were there, or things could have ended much differently.”
“They may not have seen it that way… guilt is one emotion that strikes from nowhere, with no rhyme or reason.” Hisashi frowned. “But please let the police know I will be speaking in their defence as their lawyer. If a court case comes about, we can’t promise either of them would be emotionally ready to face them.”
“I already gave them your number. And added a little advice not to bother either of them directly due to their conditions.” Aizawa smiled.
“Good man.” Hisashi grinned. “Can you take us to Izumi?”
“Sure, she’ll be happy to see you two.” Aizawa nodded and led them down the halls.

The class met up, after the squad had been caught and handed over to the police, they all moved to Bakugo’s agency, where the pr managers let them in so the whole story could be addressed with them.
“How are they?” Iida turned to the girls.
“Bakugo is being healed and Izumi is being watched. Both will be fine.” Momo smiled; the group sighed in relief. Many looked regretful at just how far they had gone to still Claim to be friends.
“They didn’t deserve this.” Shouto said. “Bakugo whilst a bit rough round the edges has always been a straightforward guy. And from the start it was obvious he liked to keep to himself.”
“They felt entitled to Bakugo. Acting like Bakugo choosing Izumi over them was a major shock.” Uraraka crossed her arms. “A major dick move; I hope they do get punished for this.”
“We should hope the hero commission don’t want to keep them in.” Shoji said.
“I don’t think we should need to worry about that too much.” Momo smiled lightly.
“Why not?” Shouto asked.
“Turns out, Izumi’s father is the Black Dragon, the Lawyer that always wins a victims case against heroes.” Momo grinned. “So, we don’t need to worry as he is also the Midoriya family lawyer.”
“Oh, they are fucked then.” Tokoyami chuckled to himself. “The Black Dragon is the one lawyer that even heroes are worried about. My lead hero warned me about him, so a tale to ensure we know we should stay on the good side of the law.”
“Well, either way, we’ll be standing in on the Midoriya’s side as witnesses to the event.” Tsu said. “We can’t let something like this ever happen again.” The group nodded in agreement.
