Work Text:
“It’s almost graduation,” Mina murmured, tucked under his arm as they watched a movie together on his laptop.
“Don’t remind me,” Eijirou groaned, pulling her closer and pressing a soft kiss to her fluffy hair. “We’ll have to do paperwork for real, and all the good, manly work will be passed to the pros before we lowly sidekicks will get a chance at them. And—ow, babe!”
She retracted her elbow and pulled herself up, making Eijirou grunt when she dropped herself on his chest and looked up at him, pouting. “Be serious, Ei.”
He grimaced, wrapping his arms around her and sliding into more comfortable arrangement, drawing her against his chest.
“Sorry, Mina.”
She sighed and relaxed into his embrace, tucking her nose against the hollow of his throat.
“It’s just weird, is all. We’ve been students here for what feels like forever, and it’s going to be really weird leaving this—and everyone else—behind.”
“We won’t leave ‘em behind. We’re all gonna be top heroes, you know!”
She laughed and agreed, and then looked up at him imploringly. “Are we still gonna tell everyone, later?” she asked softly, curling closer.
“Of course!” he gave her a squeeze for good measure. “I wouldn’t miss that for anything.”
Mina hummed her agreement and stretched to press a soft kiss to his jaw, then slid back next to him on the bed to turn back towards the movie. He watched her for a moment, the way her shoulders relaxed and tension eased. They’d probably have to talk about graduation again—and several times, in the few months leading up to it—but for now, he was content to let his girlfriend curl up against him. They had time.
What he had to worry about now was finally telling everyone else later, but even that could wait for the moment.
“Game night!” Mina cheered loudly in the common area, and the rest of class 3A cheered with her. Or as close to cheering as it got, with Bakugou scoffing in his armchair and Uraraka laughing and poking him in the side from her perch on the arm of it, and Todoroki offering a generally flat expression with just a little amused quirk to his lips. He’d learned to show at least a little emotion in the last few years, aside from anger. “Any suggestions?”
“Let’s do something we usually don’t do, just to start off,” Eijirou suggested, earning a few curious glances. “Or, well, something the guys don’t do.”
A few of them groaned then, and Eijirou gave a lopsided, toothy grin.
“Are you serious?” Jirou groaned, as if she knew what was coming, and everyone heard Hagakure clap her hands excitedly.
“Truth or dare, right, Kiri?!” the invisible girl asked, laughing.
“Actually, I think what Ei wants to do is honestly just a little confession,” Mina winked, and the girls all started giggling. She was sly sometimes. It was one of the many things Eijirou liked about her. He grinned again.
“Nail on the head, babe,” he said easily, sliding his arm around her waist. Then, as cheesily as possible, he threw up a peace sign and announced, “I, Kirishima Eijirou, am currently dating Ashido Mina! Ow, what was that for?!”
She withdrew her elbow and said, “For being extra.”
She leaned up to give him a chaste kiss, almost like an apology, to the exaggerated combination of gagging and wolf whistles from their friends and classmates, so he couldn’t stay mad at her. He grinned at her again, and Mina smiled back, snuggling closer against his side.
“Now, what does everyone want to play tonight?”
