Chapter Text
“Yeah, they’re sweet kids,” said Sakuma, putting the stack of folders down on the table. “A little arrogant, but, you know, that’s Teikoku for you. More importantly.” He wheeled around and put both hands on Genda’s shoulders, staring desperately into his eyes. “Genda. Genda I’m so in love with him.”
“Whoa,” said Genda, raising his hands, “whoa, hold on, I thought you said you were over that?”
“Not really,” said Sakuma, “more like it just kind of faded into the background—”
“Wow,” deadpanned Genda, but without any real bite to it, “so nice to know you had a crush on another guy the whole time we were dating.”
“Shut up,” said Sakuma, swatting at him, “it was a really minor thing, okay, but now that we’re coworkers and we see each other every day it’s not minor anymore. At all. Genda, I’m fucked.”
“I don’t suppose you’d consider making a move on him,” said Genda, leaning on the table next to him, and Sakuma shook his head.
“No, I can't run the risk of making things awkward at work. If we don't work together well, then the team suffers. Ugh.” Sakuma scrubbed his hands over his face in frustration while Genda made a face like Good point. “Genda Genda you don’t understand when we were kids it was just like, a dumb kid crush, but now we’re not anymore and and it’s different and good god I want to. I want to marry him. Uggghh.”
Genda patted Sakuma’s back sympathetically. “Are you sure you actually want to for real marry him,” he said.
